    While this game isn't a 0 out of 10, it certainly isn't a 10 out of 10. The Graphics and gameplay are decent, but the storytelling is absolutely horrendous. That's just my opinion though, I would advise you do your own research to decide whether or not to purchase this game or to invest in something that will be more value for your money.

    There is absolutely no denying the astounding visuals that Naughty Dog delivers, despite being a Ps4 game it truly looks next-gen.

    The performances are astounding, with an all-star cast of voice actors giving their absolute all. Gameplay is another place where the developers have improved, although it isn't top tier, it's serviceable and has a little bit more to it than it's    There is absolutely no denying the astounding visuals that Naughty Dog delivers, despite being a Ps4 game it truly looks next-gen.

    Gameplay is another place where the developers have improved, although it isn't top tier, it's serviceable and has a little bit more to it than it's predecessor. The fighting animations are improved immensely, with brutality brimming from each hit. Looting and scouring the world feels like it has more of a purpose to it, but for the most part it's the same formula, with some minor, but noticeable improvements.

    Sadly, this is where some of the issues start to pop up. We get some fantastic moments with familiar characters, but those drastically outshine everything else the game has to offer. Many people will end up feeling like this isn't actually a sequel to the first game, but more like it borrows the setting and some of the characters to tell a different story. The marketing comes off as a little deceptive, as it's made out to be more closely related to the original than it actually turns out to be. Aside from a few flashbacks and minor moments, the game is completely lacking the intimacy and charm of the first game.

    The Last of Us was all about the story and the characters, while the sequel improves on visuals and gameplay, the story falls so short compared to the original that it's hard to imagine it being created by the same people. Characters that were once flawed, but relatable take drastic shifts and if it hadn't been for the visuals, could have just as easily been replaced with a completely different cast. It feels as if the story was made without the characters in mind and they were later pigeonholed into the story.

    The most egregious part of this game is it's pacing. There are a lot of time jumps, which in and of itself isn't necessarily a detractor, but when parts of the game feels like hour-long detours from the actual story, it's hard to stay interested. By the time the main plot returns you're so far away and disconnected that it's hard to remember or care about what's going on.

    The game also comes off as being at odds with itself. The core message being something along the lines of "violence breeds more violence and revenge won't satisfy you the way you might think". This isn't an entirely groundbreaking idea, but it's an alright basis for a story. The problem is that the gameplay doesn't at all reflect this notion. The developers go to great lengths to make you feel bad about certain actions and feel bad for certain characters, but as soon as the cut scene ends you're supposed to murder 15 enemies without feeling an ounce of remorse, so it ends up feelings like the theme is fighting the gameplay and the cut scenes and the gameplay are separate things entirely. Things only matter when it's convenient and push the story in the direction that the developers want, which in the end cheapens the whole message quite a bit.

    The game is very selective about when you should feel certain things and when you shouldn't. It works hard to portray things as grey, not entirely bad or entirely good and where it ultimately lands varies wildly depending on the characters perspective. This is great, nuance is golden as far as I'm concerned. The problem is that certain things are portrayed completely as wrong or right, seemingly whenever the developer feels like it. It can come off as being told what to think, being told that this is right or wrong and disregarding any kind of nuance. It's nice in theory, but very poorly executed.

    The Last of Us 2 is a technical marvel that looks and sounds astonishing, but the story and characters are a complete mess at times. Where the first game felt natural, this game ends up stumbling clumsily in it's delivery of what truly matters in a game like this, the story and the characters. As a standalone game it might do fine, but as a sequel to something so refreshing and beloved, The Last of Us 2 completely misses the mark.    … Expand

    Beautiful graphics and amazing performances fall short of the abysmal writing, characters and plot holes. The attempts to pleaee SJW and Druckmanns self insert in the game are laughable. Easy to see a lot of effort went into this but no argument can defend this story, ultimately it is a massive disapointment if compared to its predecessor...

Já no primeiro DLC do game o estúdio foi reprovado pelo público, narrativa sem sentido , que aparentemente foi feito paraO jogo é muito competente no aspecto gráfico, isso não há como negar. Há algo muito estranho neste game, fica bem explícito que o foco aqui é uma agenda política , ideologia de gênero , crítica a cristianismo , liberação das drogas , aborto, ataque aos conceito de família tradicional . Os inimigos do jogo são uma alusão aos conservadores que não tem a "mente aberta". A história não se arrasta, agora o mundo pos Apocalíptico se preocupa com a sexualidade dos indivíduos , as questões do outro jogo parece não ter importância. Quando aparecem momentos que a lacração é deixado de lado somos tomados por uma esperança que o joga vai volta aos trilhos, porém logo voltamos aos questão importantes como aborto, homofóbia.     Pros:
    -insanely good graphics
    -Runs very smoothly with me havent had an issue with it
    -although gameplay zombie wise gets a little stale but overall it was good

    Cons:
    -Incredibly unfulfilling story
    -Game fills your throat with feminism and lgbtq stuff and stomps on your face until you swallow it
    -The game feels more like a political argument than an actual enjoyable game.
    -If i had to force myself to like or even understand abby i wouldn't be successful at all
    -The love/sex scenes were actually very very cringey and incredibly out of place

    Bad story telling, and in a linear game, THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT, IS A GOOD STORY! save your money and watch the cut scenes on Youtube or Pornhub, because you'd get **** by buying it. (if you REALLY want a good revenge plot, watch just about any western film, its better).

Игра на мой взгляд получилась ужасной.Сюжет очень плохой. Джоэла как самого главного персонажа убили, со 2 часа геймплея и игра почти не акцентировала на этом внимание. Honestly never played a story that was so hyped up and sold upon 1 character and you had him dead in the first couple of hours, i was thinking okay no problem lets see where this goes until you made me play Abby the most ununlikeablecharacter in gaming history just to go and beat the **** out of Ellie! Like wtf are you smoking ND??
    I was like okay lets see where this ends and you get this horrible ending with no justification what so ever are you **** kidding me? dont waste your money on this ****show and save it for something else

    Дорогие Naughty Dog, такой трюк вы сможете провернуть только один раз, в дальнейшем все ваши проекты навряд ли окупятся, вы заработали денег, но полностью потеряли репутацию. А игрокам я советую не покупать TLOU2, если уж очень хочется, то купите на вторичном рынке, это не игра, а убогий SJW высер. В этой игре нет ничего за что мы любили первую часть. Графика может и подтянута, но сам геймплей не изменился ни капли.

    Total injustice to the original game. Aside from the horrible storytelling all they added was a rope mechanic and larger areas to explore. Groundbreaking game i think not. Naughty dog are a truly big powerhouse company and to come out with this??! I waited years for this game and now i wish it didnt even exist. I cringed so many times playing this. Second, I used Google Translate to convert my text to English. Therefore, perhaps the literal meaning may be altered. During the course of history, a monotonous gameplay is perceived and unattractive to the players. Unfortunately this applies in the story too, through Ellie's "revenge" which seems to have totally changed her personality. In fact, ALL the characters in the first game are not really them. Ellie often in the game seems to have bipolarity (nothing against those who have), like for example: before going out with Jess to go after Tommy, Ellie said she would do anything to rescue him, but a few minutes go by. the same character sets aside Tommy's rescue to "kill" Abby. In addition to Joel, a man who spent more than twenty years in this apocalyptic world, learning not to trust anyone, was killed in a ridiculous way, simply for believing in a stranger (Abby) who was running away from several infected. I don't care if Joel died, the important thing was to kill the character in a dignified way. The worst part is that the game forces you to play with Joel's killer, they could launch Abby's gameplay in a future DLC, so it didn't force the player to control her. This culminated in a horrible ending, after killing several people does Ellie think that not killing Abby would end the cycle of revenge? After everything she went through, including the death of Jesse / Joel, the loss of both fingers, among others. The game could have the option of the player himself to choose what to do, it would be better.… Expand

    TLOU2 completely ignores its central plot about a fungal virus, what would of been an interesting talking piece in midst of a real life virus pandemic is now put aside in favor of character backstories and LESBIUNSSSS. There are attempts to make some kind of chemistry between these new characters but it    So we all know Naughty Dog are a master class at Graphics and Animation. BUT..

    There are attempts to make some kind of chemistry between these new characters but it almost always falls flat. I'm confused how even a sex/kiss scene fail to sell a relationship between them. Making a character gay, non-stereotype, big-nosed, ethnic, or a tomboy does not by default make them interesting.

    Some segments from Uncharted wouldn't be engaging if not for the banter between Nathan and Sully. This is relevant as a whole lot of TLOU2 are padded stealth sections that don't have the same kind of interaction to entertain you. The only genuine character relationship is put to an end early on with no worthwhile replacement. This is so evident by the few flashback segments with Joel/Ellie which make a museum walking simulator fun.

    Naughty Dog seem to have place its bets on the gameplay and new characters for the majority of TLOU2 and these are definitely not their strong suit.    … Expand

    This game has beautiful graphics and state-of-the-art animations. But the rest of it is just a soulless repetetive copy of the first chapter. The story is awful and the characters are unlikeable. Save your money and buy something else.

    I am all about story telling, and this game tries very hard to be realistic but the way it ends is like the opposite of realistic. I'd supposed the game director is right that many people will hate the game. I definitely hate it. Genuinely mediocre game, I thought throughout the first half it was a masterpiece and then the **** plot of "revenge bad" came up and the game tries to make you sympathize with a character that it just set up as a villain, rewriting the end of the first game changing the African doctor in a broken down and dirty hospital room who had questionable intentions to the white guy who saves zebras and just want to save the world in a super clean and sterile room.
    The previous game continually points to the Fireflies being incompetent terrorists but Joel needs to deliver Ellie even if it's not likely to get a cure. Turns out for some reason the Fireflies are so incompetent that they can't make a cure unless they kill her and neither she or her father-figure got told that. Joel would have had all his weapons and supplies taken and him being escorted to the edge of the city to fend for himself with NOTHING. Being unable to go on without her and having his daughter taken away from him the second time he couldn't handle it and saved her. I don't remember where but the game implies there were many other immune people who have already been killed by the Fireflies.

    TLOU2 made Joel's ambigous personal choice to save a daughter-figure after he couldn't save his own daughter into just Joel being the villian that ruined everything for everyone and he deserved to be tortured and killed infront of his brother and daughter-figure. And the worst part is Ellie never forgave Joel for lying to her, Abby's crew took away that from her and she's angry. At that point the players are emotionally invested in Ellie's grief and we're encouraged to get revenge, but nope halfway through you just stop playing as her and play as Abby for THE REST OF THE GAME, helping your enemy and the game throwing in random stuff to make you sympathize with her, playing with dogs, ushering children to school, taking care of a pregnant woman is all just cheap ways to make you like her.

    Manny is a womanizer who's banging 3-4 different women telling them he's the only one for them, and then starts hitting on Abby, Mel is just an **** in general making Owen cheat on Abby to be with her instead, Nora and the 2 other guys are ****s for trying to kill Ellie and so on and so forth.    … Expand

Joel and Ellie don't actually interact in the present storyline at all, only through flashbacks - which are the only decent sections of this mess, so fans of the dynamic from the previous game will be severely disappointed.

Quick run through, manly looking girl kills straight white male, lesbian goes for revenge, manly girl finds friendship in trans boy(girl to boy), then another straight male gets killed, another straight white male left unable to fight. Unable to decide if team lesbian or team trans should win, they decide we will take away the lesbians ability to do 2 in the goo 1 in the poo and let them all live because LGBTQ agenda plot armor. This game literally had some good parts but the clear female empowerment agenda is in this game. All men are jerks and bigots, and woman are the best. The 1st game was a masterpiece, this game just takes a load all over it. And no, no one wanted to play as the person that killed their main character from the last game, that is such a stupid idea. I get they wanted us as an audience to see the enemies point of view, but I'm sorry, I don't want to hurt or chase after the people I grew to love in the first game. Soooo, thanks for that... however, I did enjoy the idea of what happens when you become consumed in revenge you will end up with nothing. As Ellie, Literally lost everything, and was unable to have her closure with Joel because of Abby, but she had her chance, didn't take her revenge (because plot armor) that costed her to lose everything. Они намного круче коллекционок, и высылаются им бесплатно, вот и не подкуп ли это? В данном случае были бесплатно выданы, игра, премиум наушники сони стилизированные под игру, и стилизированный дуалшок. Если бы им высылали обычные цифровые стандартные версии не было бы таких оценок.

    To be honest, I watched the full play through before the game was officially released. After the "watch-through", I have my views on the story and characters but wanted to experience the gameplay myself to feel if the "game" felt good (I've already pre-ordered and I skipped a lot of the combat areas during the "watch through").

    about 10 hours into the game, I think I have a fair idea how to rate the game. The graphics and animations are excellent. The motion capture and performance, great. The gameplay however, is quite repetitive and not really different from TLOU part 1. The jump button is over-hyped.

    Back to the story. The story is mehhh. typical revenge story with an ending that will make you go WTF? Character development is weird.. And they became all so dumb and stupid in part 2. Why is Joel making bad decisions when he is a seasoned survivor?

    Basically, if you asked me, "Do you enjoy playing this game?" The answer is, not really.. It's brutal, repetitive and the story does not make me feel good. So how am I going to "enjoy" this game? Compared to FF7 Remake which gave me laughs, nostalgia, emotional moments and great combat, I enjoyed FF7 WAY WAY more. That game gave me a good time and TLOU2 didn't.

    Definitely not 10/10 like what the critic reviews are saying. Wanted to give it a 5 but the thought of how they killed off one of the characters pissed me the hell off, and it drops to 4    … Expand

This is not Eliie and Joels story again, this isnt even Ellies story. its just a story, and a bad one at that.

    New infected, especially the rat king feel out of place, it was actually in the concept art for tlou1 but they decided not to use it as they themselves felt it didnt feel very 'the last of us' and was more akin to the necromorphs of dead space, to me the lack of colour, the and design seems like it would be better suited in evil within 2 or one of the bad resident evil games. The shambler isnt as bad but still feels out of place, more like a l4d enemy.

    Character inconsistencies that straight up insult and tarnish characters from tlou1, that change personality as and when the plot demands it

    Very obvious that the characters were written around the plot.

    With a boring story, simple characters, not interesting gameplay and awful visuals and audio, The Last of Us Part II is probably one of the worse videogame experiences out there and it’s pretty easy to give it a bad score and call it a day. But honestly, thanks to the mild pace, lgbt and "stressful situations", it may not be for everyone.

    - The Matrix: Neo Wakes up and realizes the whole thing was a dream.
    - Inglorious bastards: What Hitler did was just a mistake, he won't do it again. They all become friends.

Imagine, if you will, the most beautiful cake you have ever seen, imagine a piece of it on your plate and imagine the perfect taste that it will leave in your mouth when you eat it. Now deal with the reality that you will only get one spoonful of that cake and the rest of the cake will be replaced by trash picked up on the side of the road. If you would have to rate the perfect cake, it will be a 10, but the whole experience was kinda dreadful, therefore a 2.

    So how did that happen? Well the graphics in this game are amazing, the atmosphere of walking through the world is breathtaking. The character animation is spot on, and there is even a scene where one of the characters removes a shirt over her head, perfectly without any clipping and perfect animation! This is insane! The music is just perfect and the sound design, from weapons to zombies to everything is truly great. Well what is the problem then? Easy: You are forced to play more than 50% of the playtime as one of the most unlikable antagonists I ever had to deal with. Bad writing in video games happens a lot, and I have learned to deal with it, but never have I been made to suffer through a bad story on the wrong side of the story. It is like getting bad with bad, and it is so bad, that at some point I just started running through the encounters because I wanted to be done with them. And this has nothing to do with Transgender or whatever. I couldn't care less about the Gender or lack thereof of any of the characters, I am talking about PERSONALITY here. I get what Naughty Dog was aiming for, trying to make me understand, trying to get my to sympathize, showing a different side to the story. But if the story is fairly one dimensional to begin with, it really doesn't help to force me to play it from a viewpoint that is so unlikable that I consider it a platinum trophy to just having finished the game.

    So with that in mind, I cannot bring myself to give any better score than 2.    … Expand

    Graphically stunning, its technically a masterpiece. But the story and political views and the way the characters develop are enough to destroy this game. I am in shock on how bad they made some characters story line. Definitely not the sequel I was waiting for .

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The last of us part 2 has a user score of 3.3 and no this is not only because of the leaks thats ridiculous! Many many many games have being leaked before!!! For example Uncharted 4...Furthermore is not everybody who gives this game a 0 or 1 ultra conservative, i know im not. And yes i have played the game for many hours now its a sh... show and the biggest gaming disappointment of my life! Im almost 34... game of thrones season 8 aint sh.. ladys and gentelman. This is how ET fans must have fellt after the release of the legendary bad atari game. To be fair the only good thing that i can say is that the world and the gameplay are alright! I have no problems with LGBT ppl what so ever but in this game its force feed! A true abomination!S: playing as Abby can only be topped by playing Hitler, Stalin or Mao Zedong ... you get the point… Expand

    Negative: the story, the new characters, the unsatisfying and stupid ending that devaluates everything you did in this game

    The fact that you are forced to play as A for 10-14 hours is insulting. I will NEVER preorder a naughty dog game again.

The game loop is incredibly repetitive, I am not sure how anyone is expected to play this game more than once. While I am only some hours in I am already tired of the same old hackneyed hide, grab, and stab.

    The major negatives...where to begin, I suppose the story should be first up. This game is depressing... like I would recommend people avoid it if they have any signs of depression or anxiety because it might push you into a really bad place. There is virtually no hope or joy in the world to speak of, and whatever might be considered joy is dashed by character actions.
    This segues nicely into character problems. I was not as enamored by the original TLoU characters as some people were, but their motivations seemed logically consistent. Honestly what the hell is even going on with these Ellie, Joel, Abby? Joel is completely out of character in comparison to the original game. Ellie and Abby's deathmatch over the course of the game has done nothing for me either as it seems as they will never grow into fully formed characters, rather they will just perpetually be in a juvenile state of vengeance to the end of the game. It has already been spoiled for me so I know what happens, but I am not sure I can last that long even though I am trying to make a review for the game. I was hopeful that this would live up to all the hype that surrounded it, but I have just been disappointed.
    As I said earlier I am not sure why anybody would give this more than a single playthrough, perhaps a completionist or someone who wanted to fiddle with the varied settings could get more out of it, I just don't see myself caring that much. There is nothing to care about in this game, it is brutal for brutality's sake, and the characters are two dimensional at best. It would be interesting to see how many of the critics who gave this a perfect score actually pick this game off their shelf to play it again now that they've reviewed it. Also, why take out the multiplayer from the first? Nothing gained from that loss.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
