    The first part of the game had an exciting plot. I empathized with the main characters. In the second part, for some reason, the developers made an lgbt theme - where one of the characters falls in love with a lesbian woman with unshaven armpits. It's disgusting! Giving my hard-earned money for the game, I don't want to see this on the screen. This spoils the whole atmosphere andThe first part of the game had an exciting plot.     A slap in the face to all of the last of us fans who were eagerly waiting 7 years for the sequel only to be backstabbed by the director of the game himself. The story is horrendous, absolutely terrible considering it relies on shock value which ultimately falls flat.     I cannot begin to disagree more heavily with the score given to this woeful excuse of a game. Please understand that I am, and always will be, a fan of the first The Last of Us and Naughty Dog in general. That being said, I was HIGHLY disappointed and disturbed by the lack of story, depth and feeling this game had for the its fans.

Please understand that I am, and always will be, a fan of the first The Last of Us and Naughty Dog in general. That being said, I was HIGHLY disappointed and disturbed by the lack of story, depth and feeling this game had for the its fans.

    This was a slap in the face to fans and an overall disgrace to play. It was beyond disturbing, violent with no purpose or reason. I won't spoil anything but the expectation of feeling for certain characters after their behavior made me physically ill.

    My advice, watch it on YouTube then forget about it. End of story and I will consider the first game a masterpiece and live by the thoughts of what I think should have happened after the ending.    … Expand

    The game-story destroys the characters from Part 1 and forces you to play as a character you don't want to play (because it is the antagonist who is hated for killing a character you already have a relationship to). As a player you get a bad feeling while playing it. Sadly. Part 1 was great. It had a better story writer.

    Gameplay is solid enough Graphics are good. The plot and character development abysmal. I've played as villains more likeable than the new protagonist and what happened to Ellie and Joel just didn't feel like natural progression from the first game. And no as some defenders of it say I'm not sulking or hurt over manner of what happened to Joel. I felt what they did to Ellie was far worseGameplay is solid enough Graphics are good. I had no problem with Ellie been a lesbian it was everything else the writers did to a character I grew to adore from the first game that prevented me from enjoying the game and made have to grit my teeth to finish it out. No playing as her was the last thing we wanted. Nobody felt bad for her to beat joel with a golf club. Worst sequel ever played. And I remember when you deleted bad comments thats so mature. Yoy can't have a site where to review games that are bad or good and not allow bad comments. Just to get a game to have good reviews thats bull.     Plot of the game is a mess and unrelatable. Director and script writer fail to deliver the game because of their unprofessional of plot handle.
    Other than that, everything is fine and well done especially the art and modeling of the game. Scores of 3 points for the hard work of art, 3D and battle mechanism designer. Just for them.

    This game is a mess, it wants to be unpredictable at the cost of stupid acts. The gameplay and graphics are decent, but the narrative is what totally destroys the experience, from the prologue you can see how they dispose of one of the important characters from the first game in such a horrendous way and the supposed lesson Ellie learns in the ending doesn't make any sense.

After having seen an unknown person brutally murder one of the main characters we are already familiar with, we are then forced to play as this very person. I cannot even imagine why someone would want to do a trick like that. I got so repelled and disturbed by the scene of Joel’s death that I couldn’t sleep the following two nights. And now I have to play as his murderer. I do not think this is a contribution that matches the first part. Brilliant design and graphics, I admit that. But the plot truly disappointed me.… Expand

    Probablement la plus grosse déception depuis longtemps. J'avais des attentes très élevées. L'histoire est fade et sans imagination, le gameplay est très ennuyeux. Même les graphismes loués sont décevants. J'ai vraiment laissé tomber la balle ici.

The writer is underestimate his fans cuz he thinks adding a little bit of left-wing narrative is ok, but nahhh we're not that stupid. When I finished, I didn't know if I liked it or not—a mixed feeling. I talked with two first, and they had a distinguished opinion. one hated the story, and the other loved it. I look for more opinions on the reviews on Metacritic, youtube videos to have more substantial base arguments. I look for all the reviews, and I often agree more with people who didn't like the game than people who loved it.
    The gameplay was magnificent. The quality that naughty dog has presented and has us used to. I had fun killing zombies and other enemies, 10/10—especially the fight against rat king.
    But the story wasn't that pleasant to watch. The way they decided to tell was a complete mess. I was uncomfortable playing with Abby and fighting Ellie, and the game was forcing me to do that. The same went when Ellie was almost killing Abby.
    Also, I don't condemn the decision of killing Joe; for me was a risky move, and the naughty dog had the guts to take it. If the story were rewritten, I would understand if Joe dies at the end. What I condemn and don't understand is the way that he died. It looks forced and out of character for Joe to trust random people like that. If naughty dog forced a little more, they would **** themself.
    One last thing, just me or Isaac was a waste of character?    … Expand

    The worst game of the year became the best game. Dumb critics. Game graphics and gameability are really good. As expected, it is said that it is a game of Nutty Dog. However, the worst story is the worst of the worst that I can't think of the value of the game.

    The biggest letdown of a sequel. Terrible narrative, a story that drags on and on, terrible depressing pointless ending, no multi-player this time around , tricky marketing for the game, and horrible pacing issues. Would never buy a part 3.

What I liked about the first game was tasty there was genuine character growth and love between Joel and ellie. Even though the world was dark, there was hope. I really cared about the characters. Now in this sequel, they torture and kill a character I really cared about while his daughter grows and begs to stop it from happening. And then I have to play as the sadistic torturer and murdered (who Joel risked his life to save when she first met him) for hours. It was like the game was punishing me for caring about Joel. I didn't care about abbie one bit. But I still had to play as her to finish the story which I paid for. I swear I think they made her unlikable on purpose. Even her interactions with her teammates seemed psychotic. It was just too bleak and dark without any of the best that was present in the first game. I wish I could get a refund.… Expand

Todos sosos, aburridos y que encima la gente defiende la muerte de joel porque "es un tipo malo", loco, es una pandemia mortífera donde reina la anarquía y la desesperanza a cada esquina, en serio vale la "moralidad" en estas circunstancias?. Si estuvieran al tanto de la historia del primero se habrán dado a la humanidad que por más que las luciérnagas consiguiesen la cura en serio pensarían que se las iban a dar a todo el mundo sabiendo que es una organización paramilitar que atenta contra toda corporación global, desatando guerrillas con militares y demás supervivientes cada 2x3? Piensen un poco, ninguno en este juego es un pan de dios, así que poner a abby (un personaje más plano que el papel) el papel de "buena" me parece de lo más estúpido en este contexto-… Expand

    The ending of the game it tries to teach you "revenge is bad" yet all the people you kill to get up to part is ok? Also in part I Joel was all about being hidden and part 2 they were like throwing parties and oh come to our spot etc. Finally the part where abby is shown is such a stupid way to add in their own agenda to the game. On that eradication of the fireflies base you're telling me that "thing" survived all that? BS.    … Expand

    Graphics: 10/10, Beautiful Story & Plot: 3/10, There is a story but you're not gonna like the characters, or the plot points. Gameplay & Mechanics: 8/10, The best I've seen but not utilized in an open and more experimental manner well. Characters: A Neil Drunkman/10, I don't even know how this happened.     I am not looking forward to Part III, Unlesss Part II was an alternate universe or a dream.

    I've played the first game couple of times but can't imagine a second playthrough of TLOU2. Although the gameplay and graphics are nice, the story feels like a slog and difficult to get through. Even though I can't put it words, I can see the plot is poorly written and was such a shame that this was what we got after waiting for 7 years.

    The game has great graphics, gameplay, and features a nice golf club to make you feel like Tiger Woods himself. However, the story is just ridiculously bland. They've destroyed what made the series great. This was a major slap to the face for every fan waiting 7 years for this sequel. I only played to get my money's worth because I cannot get a refund.

    This game needs to be remade again from scratch.
    I'm never touching a game from Neil Drunkmann otherwise.
    I won't spoil the game...but probably everyone knows already the story.
    Just don't buy this game and promote bad writing from people that all they care about is money. Very disappointed... I sold all the last of us colection I had.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
