    It was a great game 6 years ago but now it became a revenge game and there is plenty of them .
    We used to love the last of us for the story and the chemistrie between the caracters and now there is non so i ll say good bye to a great game RIP

The gameplay is decent at best and is similar to the first one with a couple new things added. The storyline is what really kills the game in my opinion because it is literally a revenge story without the revenge. I also didn't like how we had to play as Abby since, she killed Joel and throughout abby playthrough they try to make us like her and make her seem like kill torturing and killing Joel was the right thing. Honestly the only reason I gave this game a 3/10 is because of the graphics and the OK gameplay.… Expand

TLOU2 logic: you go all over the country killing people without regrets, they kill the person who was almost a father to you, they beat him and leave your girlfriend almost dead, they kill your Chinese friend, they shoot your uncle in the eye, And when you manage to reach the person responsible for all this, he gives you the beating of your life but allows you to live by the work and grace of the holy spirit.
    You keep killing people across the country, you kill the boyfriend and you kill his wife who was pregnant (double kill), you end up killing almost all of his peers, and when you go back to someone who made your **** life, you are willing to murder and avenge yourself of all the **** she did to you, but in the end you let her live because "revenge is never good, it kills the soul and poisons it".

    Fallout 76 is a more interesting and engaging game. Naughty dog succeeded in the impossible task of one-uping Bethesda in making a horrible game and spitting in the face of the fans and players.

    ive waited 7 long years for this game and i think i still waiting. This game that naughty dog released looked like last of us but it didnt feel like last of us. The graphics and game mechanics were great however the story was a mistake. The story of the game was a disaster. Ellie never accomplished her set goal she didnt kill abby to get her revenge for joel being killed by abby. Oh beforeive waited 7 long years for this game and i think i still waiting. In the second half of the game, when they try to make you empathize with them, there is a desire to just quit the game. Another point that makes this unplayable is that the developers have made a bet on an outdated gameplay that has not changed much since 2011.

    Well, I got to the point where two characters were laughing at these stupid porn parody titles of previous ND games and smoking weed and when called on it they rebuked the assertion that they were being immature and shirking their duties to protect a town that was relying on them was when I began to think that maybe the writer was a teenager.

    The more I played the more I realised that every single surviving character in this game is unlikable. They bounce between smug, unreasonable and preachy and at the four hour mark I put the game down and won't be coming back to it.
    I don't know if they changed which team handles the game or changed lead writer but it feels like everyone who wrote this is clinically depressed. The alternative is that they wrote this to be as horribly depressing as possible with no hope spots to speak of.    … Expand

    Joel killed everyone to save Ellie, but Ellie let Abby, Joel's cold blooded killer go scotfree after going through a 30 hours campaign. What a **** disrespect to Joel's lagacy and a big **** you to the player who spent 30 hours trying to kill this thot.

    As a long time fan of the original, I never thought I’d be so dissatisfied with this game to the point where I feel like it wasn’t worth the money. The story never met the standard that the last game set. Gameplay elements were improved upon, and the game looked great, but the story that I bought this to experience was nowhere to be found. It had a redundant and trope filled story that lacked the originality that I expected. I went in with an open mind despite everyone telling me it was a waste, only for them to be proven right. The people in charge of this story should’ve never touched The Last of Us. I would honestly rather have had no sequel than this blatant disrespect of the original characters. This doesn’t even deserve to be called a sequel. I was literally forced to play as a character that I felt a rich hatred for, and the people she encounters, for what? You could have showed her reasons for going after Joel and ended it there, and pick up with the version of Ellie that you left until the end of the game. Instead, you shove characters that I care nothing for down my throat for at least 10 hours, and throughout the game, most of the characters lack any real development. You even try to pull that “maybe we’re the real monsters?” crap. I see what you tried to do, what you think you succeeded in, but it just resulted in mass disappointment. Don’t look at low reviews and assume it’s just haters, many of us are real fans that hate that we have to review the game like this. We genuinely care, unlike whoever wrote the plot line. Даже после смерти Джоэла я впал в отчаяние но мне все ещё нравилась эта игра. Пускай немного растянутая, пускай с дурацким впихиванием меньшинств и волосатых подмышек Дины. Пускай! я все это могу для себя в голове объяснить тем что это постапокалипсис, все люди делятся на группы друг друга ненавидят, но не суть. Всё началось во второй половине игры где нас за каким то хреном заставляют играть(или смотреть как играют) за Эбби. Я лично проматывал и мне жаль тех кто играл в саму игру и не могли просто пропустить этот момент. Naughty Dog, если вы хотели чтобы люди посмотрели как их самого ненавистного персонажа дерут в жопу то у вас это относительно получилось только в буквальном смысле. А потом уже началась концовка игры из-за которой я собственно и сгорел и пошел писать это ревью. ИГРА ПРО МЕСТЬ БЕЗ МЕСТИ! ГЕНИАЛЬНО НАХРЕН!     It is a movie. It is not a videogame anymore, but a movie that has videogame parts scattered between the narrative's interludes.

    Remember the doctor you had to kill? Well this game is going to spend all the time with you battling that doctor's kid. What a coincidence. It is a post apocalyptic world bereft of technology in the slightest sense, but you keep running into the revenge kid. You go back and forth killing each other's friends, but those friends are really aggravating so I never felt sorry for any of them dying. In the end, none of it matters because neither Ellie or the kid dies, they go away into the sunset with I guess some anomalous moral lesson given to the audience about revenge?

    The story's contrivance makes sense when you realize that it is purely a vehicle for Druckmann's liberal political posturing. That posturing was present in Last of Us 1, but it wasn't suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome and therefore I could empathize with it. In the Last of Us 2, turn one corner and we are lectured about the Torah, and another we find the Holocaust, and then another we realize that in a post apocalyptic world of extreme calorie scarcity, women magically become androgynous, steroid shaped body builders capable of snapping heads off of bodies like twigs. There is also this strange obsession in the game with pregnancy in the game. Pregnancy is simultaneously trivialized with all the weirdo "romantic" contradictions of everyone screwing everyone else, but it is also worshiped as something really good you can't do anything bad to because, who knows?

    Consistency doesn't exist in LOU2. The game is like some liberal college student got really angry and started screaming into a camera about whatever emotional triggers affected them at the moment. Besides that, the narrative itself is one of the most contrived things I've ever witnessed. Every plot event moving you forward is build on a convenience. One more thing, there is a huge dose of melodramatic sentimentality in this game. For example, when you could have stabbed "Abby" to death at the end of the game while she is crucified, you instead let her down, lead her to her escape boat, but then suddenly decide, "no, I am going to fight you and kill you honorably women el womano." Was this just stupidly sentimental or was it an epic subversion of manliness? Hard to say, this stuff is beyond parody.    … Expand

    İ played this game by ignoring all the prejudments and propaganda stuff. First half was really great but the second half of the game shows that all those negative reviews are not all that incorrect they are pretty much on point for the most cases. If i gave 4 for this game it is only for its gameplay nothing else

    Acabo de terminar el juego y decepción total. El juegonpaso de ser una historia de supervivencia a una relaciona lesbica donde te meten la inclusión por todos lados, desecharon al personaje principal que era joe como si fuera basura para darle sentido a lo políticamente correcto. El juego no está tan mal, si quieren jugarlo se los recomiendo comprarlo cuando entre en rebaja

    Naughty dog you can buy "professional reviewers" but you can't buy your player base. So disappointing that such a beautiful looking game is trash. This was just a FU to the fan base just for the sake of it. How many people waited for this game? How much money did you spend in this game just to have it ruined for a bad story?

    Absolute garbage. Naughty Dog is going to "Get Woke Go Broke" as a result of this dumpster-fire. Your fanbase now feels betrayed because of your pandering. I'm sure this game will sell tons of copies ... only to be discarded for the trash that it is. We'll see how well ND games do going forward.

And don't say that Ellie broke the cycle of revenge by letting Abby go since she killed countless characters in order to get to Abby, characters who most likely have family members that want to avenge their deaths. Plus somehow Ellie getting her fingers bitten off and having a Joel flashback influenced her to save Abby instead of wanting to drown her even more??? Like wtf, really Druckmann??? Whose mans is this??? and why did Naughty Dog let go of Amy Hennig instead of this fool???? The gameplay is aight tho, but canon story ended with the first game. TLOU Part 2's awful storyline completely ruined the game for me. Why did Joel and Tommy trust a stranger and tell Abby their names when they knew Joel is probably getting hunted by the fireflies? Why did he then go to a stranger's outpost instead of hiding from the Infected elsewhere? I understand if Joel had to die but not like this, he's basically an oblivious buffoon in this game and written completely out of character. And death by golf club??? Are you serious??? This is supposed to be TLOU, not a Mortal Kombat/Mario Golf spinoff =-(. I could go on forever and write a college thesis on why this game is trash but I get angrier the more I write. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! If you must play this trainwreck for yourself, make sure Naughty Dog doesn't see a cent and rent it! The game is worse than the leaks!!!… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
