    There was no consistency with the first game. characters like Joel did things he would NEVER act as he did in part two (I am trying to say no spoilers). this is not a game, it is more like a guided movie. nothing about this game was "tasteful." a perfectly good story was butchered.     Si se llamase de otra forma, fueran otros personajes, sería un juego con una mala historia, con mecanicas de la play tres pero con buenos gráficos. Pero no es así. No hace falta cagar en tus propios personajes para eso pasa años y simplemente matalos, es mejor.

    Incredibly disappointing. The gameplay remains mostly unchanged from the first game. Which is fine considering I really enjoyed the mechanics of the first game. The story however is MASSIVE step backwards from the first game. Expected more from a studio that I loved.

    The disappointment I have with this game is unimaginable. The story isn't just bad, it's horrendous because of the way the developers spat in the faces of fans. 5 years people have been waiting for the game, and unfortunately Naughtydog simply didn't give a **** The Last of us 2 is and will forever be a shameless cash grab and nothing more. Justice for Joel.

    A really **** story backed by a really crappy enemy ai system. Enemies are as dumb as they were in the 2013 game. Really disappointed on the way they treated joel in this game.

    As a huge fan of the original game, and more importantly the original characters, this game is just so bad. The graphics are a amazing, the gameplay is about the same, but the story is god aweful, and in a game all about story that just breaks its very foundations hence the score of 0. I honestly wish I had never play it.

I'm giving 6 because first playthrough I actually enjoyed it. But after watching people's reviews about it and telling what's wrong with the game, I finally opened my eyes... The atrocity that was supposed to be one of the greatest games, goes down as one of the worst forms of media entertainment I have ever experienced! They kill off Joel, in the most juvenile way, then make you play 80% of the game as his killer. Then with that character you have to fight Ellie. They made Ellie and Joel complete bad guys and what you to fall in love and side with this Abby character, who has no depth or likeness to her at all. Not to mention she beats Joel to death within the first hour of the game but we are just supposed to side with her and care about what drives her? And to care and understand why she killed him? We are here for Joel and Ellie, to experience the amazing bond and story between them! Not to mention that Abby is terribly written. I did not care at all about her. And the ending Ellie lets her go.. kills everyone else. But let’s the main character who **** up her life go and be happy. Joel, Ellie, and the huge community behind the first last of us, we all deserved better. Neil should be ashamed of himself.… Expand

Hi everyone, I am a big fan of the TLOU Pt1 it’s one of the most emotional games I’ve ever played and I was really excited to see the 2nd part, the beginning of it was ok, but after Joel’s death it became too difficult to play it, it’s like you got hit or slap in a face, I felt emptiness and sadness during whole game.... 2nd part ruined all positive and warm feelings about Joel’s and Ellie’s relationship, there are too much misunderstandings from Ellie...it’s horrible...how they could do that to him...after all this years of waiting...what they were thinking about???...what the hell?!?!...I just want to forget this piece of crap!!!

Although, the story is very lacking in terms of how good it is and compared to the first game, this is piss poor. For someone who played the original over 10 times, this just isn't it. (SPOILER) Seeing one of our most beloved characters in a franchise (Joel), be treated in such a way by a very STUPID and UNNEEDED character (Abby) is beyond me. They even went as far as to make Joel and Tommy seem like they have never had experience in an apocalypse, these 2 would never walk into a room with a bunch of strangers, let alone save someone without at least questioning them first. I'm not sure what went through the writers' heads at Naughty Dog, but this just isn't The Last of Us for me. Game play, physics, lighting, and visuals are really the only positive thing about this game. If you're a hardcore Last of Us 1 fan, don't buy this, it will ruin everything you loved about the first game.… Expand

    It's trash. Pure trash. I don't know what Druckmann was thinking. Years and years of hype and THIS is what came of it. It's heartless, cynical, boring, and at times quite sadistic. There was a clear agenda when this game was made and NONE of it was out of love and affection for the player, the key person who is paying for this garbage.

That kind of story telling is really tacky and lazy. The world was good, the graphics were good even with a few glitches here and there. The game play and some mechanics were fun. For me, Abby taking revenge for her dad who was one of the surgeons was just a bit boring. I wasn’t interested in playing it after a while just because the story line wasn’t keeping my attention. Beautiful game& graphics but the story ruined it so badly. Also, the new shambler is literally identical to a bloater?     However, as a game it falls flat: animation that is not scripted sewms stuk in the 90's. The graphics are wonderful, the gameplay is very good although similar to the previous installment, but the story is one of the worst of this year: The writers take the content very bad especially because the ending was very bad, do you really kill half the world and you forgive the antagonist? That message they wanted to give us is a total contradiction. A lousy narrative with a message that is not convincing. If you are true fans, this game is going to make you mad.

    I want to preface this by saying that I have no problems with the diversity of the cast. With that said, this game is miserable. The original Last of Us was a game about hope and a broken man learning to love again. This game takes those themes and butchers them.

    I played through the original Last of Us probably 5 times, it's the only game of the previous generation I did that with (I normally don't even finish games). I can't imagine picking this game up ever again, and honestly I wish i'd never played it. I'm sure this game will sell like gangbusters, but I think if the developers ever try their hand at TLOU3, they'll quickly find how many of their fans they left behind with this entry.    … Expand

I'm a huge fan of the first game last of us, I enjoyed playing as Ellie nd partnering with Dina :) but the last of us 2 was dreadful while playing as Abby after she killed Joel and Jesse it was sickening nd forcing me to fight nd brutally defeat Ellie making her the villain WTF cringed more than half the game :(… Expand

    The game’s audio and visual body of work is amazing. There is 1 good scene in the game and it is a flashback. This is a clearly visible sign the main story is weak. Absolutely horrible storytelling and they took constant cheap shots at you.

    It butchered an already developed character (pun intended) and has a sub par plot riddled with identity politics. Its a game that feels nothing like the 1st: -5 points.

It kept crashing and saying error 500 and noticing the high reviews are being legitimately bombed to save this game it's just unreal . There is less bombing and more actual opinion about the game on the negative reviews scores than the overrated ones. I notice how the majority of the reviews for the game being amazing do not point out it's flaws. Whereas the negative reviewers give reasons and also explain why the game is goos. So unfortunately I have lost faith in the gaming industry and seen it's true colours even on metacritic. Regardless here's my review. Joel's character is weaker and his demeanor is smaller and not so interesting. The new character Abby also has little interesting points. In the first game Joel gave us meaning to be interested he lost someone close who was innocent. Ellie also is innocent and being chased and protected which is interesting. In this game Abbie's father was not innocent so no one cares if he dies. They made a clip of him regretting the surgery but it doesn't make you like him. There wasn't any scene that makes you like Abbie in a way you want to help her agenda knowing the first story. And the creators make you play this very lake character for hours. Sex scene was disgusting and unrealistic. Graphics great but I buy a game that is made for the story for the story and the story was over the top violent and sexual in a lesbian or gay way. Which is fine. But way too focussed on it to be enjoyable.… Expand

    After the first part I expected something especial, something gorgeous. And finally I got a beautiful candy at the first sight. It has delicious package outside and a piece of s h i t inside. Actually, it's not a game, it's the piece of the LGBT propaganda masked as post-apocalyptic survival game. Thank you, Naughty Dog, it was the last your game I bought.

    Been watching a lot of people’s gameplay. I’ve noticed that once the “golf scene” happens, people tune out or they just aren’t the same as when they started playing. This game just isn’t it.
