    Pros:
    Nice graphics, when it's not bugging out
    Nice animations, when they are finishing properly and not clipping
    Nice sound design

    Cons:
    Graphics is buggy - frequent shimmering of reflections, visible LODs, sometimes textures do not load in hires for minutes, occasional props made from literally 3 polygons, breaks immersion all the time
    Animations can be very unnaturaly canceled when transitioning to one another, models sometime cant let go of objects from previous animations
    Gameplay is still same from tlou, NPC is still dumb, you can deal with every encounter by sitting in one corner and "stockpiling" bodies cuz dumb enemies just go straight to their dead allies without flanking or waiting for help, all my death was to scuffed controls (like looting box instead of grabbing enemy)
    Worst part is the story, its full with bad character development, awkward phrasing, plot holes and out-of-character moves - Dina moves from "first kiss" to sex and " i will go on a suicide mission with u" in ~48h? Joel risks his and brother lives to save some stranger? Tommy forces Elly to go on a suicide revenge trip twice? Secnod time in very rude manner & while Elly has family? Etc. Some small things, like Elly never mentions death of hers horse, which was wtih her for at least 4 years? List goes on ...

    Ending is garbage - "right/good" act cant be truly appreciated without freedom of choice, wich developers could done with ease, not to mention that this sudden change feels strange and out of place

    This game is probably 4/10, but i give it a 0 to compensate for 1010 fanboys and out of contempt to misleading marketing wtih Joel in every trailer and "CINEMATIC COMBAT WITH SMART OPPONENTS".

    Better stay away from this game if u value your money and time, good games dont get review-bombing.    … Expand

    It’s a redemption arc about how revenge is bad, but the person who gets revenge walks away free and with a loved one while the one who gives it up because it’s bad loses everything.

    Terrible writing creates an irredeemable character you are forced to play as and there is an unneeded graphic sex scene involving a trans person.

    Just skip this unless you get off to wokeness or hate money.    … Expand

But good god the story direction, taking a beloved character that was built so well in TLOU1, guarded, necessarily cold but loving, an expert survivor who could pick out an ambush from a mile away - turning him into that? Hes not even the same character. That scene set the tone for the whole game and to make you play as Abby after the fact for a solid portion of the game? Its honestly so dejecting - and not in the way I felt when Lee in the walking dead died or Dom in Gears of War. It was a pointless death forced in the first 2 hours by a character you want us to sympathize with when we have no prior experience with them. It's hard to complete the thought at the moment but its just saddening that a story beloved by so many was used to push an agenda that it now has only hurt.… Expand

    The graphics, world, gameplay, acting and motion capture is second to none! The expertise, polish and attention detail by the technical and performance staff should be highly commended. It’s the story which completely lets all that hard work, be completely overshadowed and destroyed. The behaviour of “some” involved at Naughty Dog and Sony has been disgraceful as well.     Apart from the graphics, there is little to the game I actually enjoyed. If you loved the first game do yourself a favour and skip this one. I can't imagine that this franchise could possibly continue after this game it really tarnishes the legacy that much.

    They killed the franchise, still i can't believe what they've done.
    I've almost cryed for the frustation on the bad ending, on the disrespect for the characters, ruinning the best story of the past decade.
    Trating Joel like he was a little innocent kid, and killing him in one of the worst deaths ever on any videogame. the story is fuc*ing s**** and isn't TLOU.
    Forzing the player to empatize with Abby and then forcing to kill Ellie, this is not right, and is unnacceptable
    The gameplay was very good anyway, the new mechanics added fine to the game. we got more exploration zones, some kinda very easy puzzles, and big scenaries. However was a little bit repetitive fighting against humans, or undeads, again and again

    Conclusion: Don't waste 60 euros on this, please...    … Expand

    The Last of LGBT II - good story to kill series forever. Druckmann wanted to surprise us; he succeeded. The whole game was accompanied by a persistent sense of disgust and nausea.

    Horrible story. Weak ending. SJW filth. Stop destroying franchises with politics. The First one was an iconic story with a badass protagonist. This game was just boring and a disrespect to all us gamers who enjoyed the first one. Thank God I got my money back. Sold it on Facebook marketplace

    If you loved TLOU1 for it's story and relationship between Joel and Ellie, Then do not buy this game. The gameplay and graphics are phenomenal and amazing but the story is complete garbage. Waited 7 years for this **** to come out. **** Neil Druckmann. I recommend a sale if your going to buy this game.

    I did my damndest. I tried so hard to give this game a fair chance, I heard the horrible rumors and I wrote them off as fake leaks to get people talking about the game. It's The Last of Us part 2, it doesn't need fake controversy, The Last of Us was just that good. Ellie doesn't act like Ellie anymore, shes some cartoonish depiction of a dark, brooding, tumblr teen now, her love interest could be replaced with an overly flirtatious 2x4 and the plot wouldnt be affected at all, the leaks were right about Joel, and nothing about the story is redeeming of any of this. I dont know why this always happens, professional reviewers praise the game as the second coming of Jesus riding on a Buddha, while the fans take massive runny dumps all over it, but its gotta stop. Full disclosure, I made an account today for the sole purpose of reviewing this one game, not because I'm a troll or a bot, but because I feel legitimately guilty that some poor loser out there might have seen my defense of this dumpster fire in a forum or in a YouTube comment section and might have been persuaded to give the game a shot. Well I'm fixing that today. I'm going back and following up on all of my comments warning people to stay away from this garbage. There is no retribution for the sins I've committed, but maybe I can right that wrong just a little bit like this.
    The more intricate level designs, parkour, rope puzzles, and enemy additions in the form of dogs, and the Scars were kind of cool, I guess, and they do help get your mind of the trash plot for a moment or two, so it's not a straight 0, but TLoU wasn't well known and universally loved for its gameplay, it was loved for its relatable characters, realistic development, and compelling storytelling. Take that away and evidently your left with nothing but trash.
    Again, I feel legitimately embarrassed for defending this game. They should have just done a prequel about Joel, or Tess, or Marlene, or Tommy, or Bill, or literally anything else, Christ you've got a built in 20 year gap at the beginning of the first game! You should have let the audience decide what the future holds and explore the past that's already set in stone. The series should have chronologically ended with that last powerful moment.     Game play and story are what i look for in games i play. Graphics have never been something i look for but can be a nice edition. I loved Last Of Us story and multiplayer. Last Of Us 2 takes the first game and throws it in the garbage. The only thing this game has going for it, is that it looks great graphically. The only thing this game has going for it, is that it looks great graphically. If your someone not into the story of a game you will probably like this. And also, Neil can receive some kind greetings with different languages from all over the world, and maybe, a termination letter from Sony.

    Graphics and gameplay are a 10/10, but story is a 0/10, so, this is pretty much a 4/10 game.
    Why not a 6/10? well, the team behind this game said several times they didnt want to make a "fun" game, and that the main focus should be the story, well, if the studio considers the story so important, then it weights more than the graphics and gameplay.

    The game looks amazing..... and that’s it, the story and gameplay are super boring and the plot twists are just angering and not exciting. It seems like naughty dog just had some ideas for the game and threw boring infected fighting in between the short and bad story

Joel doesn't even trust his soul, and so does Tommy. You are forced to play as this individual who has bigger muscles than Arnold Schwarzenegger, i mean are you serious naughtydog, this is the best you can give us, the story is an absolute joke, the ending makes no sense, and you clearly kill joel for no reason. You guy's literally made me sell this game on offer up as soon as I saw what happened to joel, I got so mad at the way he was executed that I ejected the disk and immediately went into offer up, 3 days later nobody has throw me a bone nobody wants to buy this game, you might as well spit in our faces… Expand

Yes, the visuals and gameplay is solid, what’s expected from Naughty Dog with what they have on their backs (Uncharted franchise) Some parts of the story is solid too, the flashbacks of Ellie and Joel are heartwarming and heartbreaking as well. Now that I got the positive out of the way, the game is overall garbage. How is the developer going to kill a beloved and meaningful character in such a sad and distasteful way? Joel dying part of the story? Okay. But at least make it memorable, poetic, or heroic. Don’t just kill him off by pinning him down and having no hopes of survival. Story plot fail to deliver completely. Imagine you’re gonna go watch a spider man movie or a captain America movie and right from the start they kill them off? That’s exactly what occurred here. Now with that out of the way, okay Joel died now what?     However Naughty Dog has only gone and destroyed its legacy with this dumpster fire of a game. Don't get me wrong, this game has definitely lived up to the visuals and physics I was expecting of the second iteration of The Last of Us. Though these are important, the story of this new game is horrible. The fact they killed off one of gaming's favourite characters as if he was a side note or a character with no personality. Due to this, the game felt more like a lackluster cliché revenge flick. I am highly disappointed by this title. Naughty Dog messed up badly and they definitely need to fire the entire writing team for taking the outstanding concept of The Last of Us and turning it into nothing more than a psuedo-emotional wreck.    … Expand

    Abiertamente puedo considerarme un fan de la primera entrega debido a que adquirí en su momento la versión de ps3 con the last of us y no solo eso también adquirí el ejemplar remasterizado para ps4, una maravilla para ser sincero pero esto no lo absuelve de cualquier otra critica positiva que esperábamos que las minúsculas carencias del primero sería solventadas en este segunda entrega,Abiertamente puedo considerarme un fan de la primera entrega debido a que adquirí en su momento la versión de ps3 con the last of us y no solo eso también adquirí el ejemplar remasterizado para ps4, una maravilla para ser sincero pero esto no lo absuelve de cualquier otra critica positiva que esperábamos que las minúsculas carencias del primero sería solventadas en este segunda entrega, pero oh sorpresa con lo que nos encontramos es con una narrativa totalmente carente de sentido alguno empezando con el primero error garrafal de haberse desecho de un personaje que se tomó un excelente trabajo construirlo en la primera entrega como lo fue Joel el cuál nos había transmitido una empatía innata con respecto a su decisión de salvar a Ellie debido a que a lo largo de su vida a partir del brote del hongo que volcó al mundo en caos padeció perdidas muy importantes y en este momento en el que pesaba sobre sus hombros la decisión de que vuelva a pasar por esta situación decide salvar a Ellie como un mensaje de que no se puede salvar la humanidad perdiendo la propia humanidad y que el mismo joel que en una secuencia del primer juego es precavido debido a las condiciones hostiles que los rodean donde pueden ser sujetos de ataques por la supervivencia este mismo Joel sea burlado y humillado de la manera en la que lo hace este juego simplemente demuestra que antes de entregarnos una buena historia estaban priorizando enfatizar cierto mensaje muy forzado casi agobiante a lo largo del juego y que justifiquen todo tipo de criticas con el argumento que somos personas con mensajes de ¨odio¨solo demuestra la carencia de vergüenza para/con los usuarios que somos el público a el cual está dirigido su producto, en todo sentido debieron haber priorizado al usuario antes que satisfacer cualquier tipo de agenda política y que pese a este error abismal de narrativa al final de toda la historia, después de a lo largo del trayecto de la misma en el cuál hemos perpetuado asesinatos de diversos tipos, de las maneras más atroces me quieres impartir un mensaje que todo lo que acabo de hacer dentro de este juego fue en vano? Dejando ir a la causante de la ira de la protagonista...... ira por la cual asesinó a todo quien se le cruce en su camino de venganza. Aquí único que no tiene sentido alguno definitivamente es la existencia de este juego, no descarto que el apartado gráfico sea muy increíble y que la jugabilidad me guste tanto y me traiga un efecto nostalgia del primero, pero lo que hicieron con la saga de The last of us en esta entrega es simplemente decepcionante.… Expand

I beat it once on moderate with about half of everything and 23 hour playtime. I had not watched a single thing about this game besides the one trailer shown 2 or 3 years ago. I'm not homophobic or transphobic or whatever else about this game has people riled up. I beat the first game as well and it still has a place in my heart because of how good it was. I want to start off by saying this: A lot people are mad that Joel died but what makes me angry and upset is the execution of said event, and what it meant in terms of story. It's a story about revenge, but it is taking a backseat to tedious gameplay and boring story points. The gameplay is the same as last of us 1 but even worse because that game came out 7 **** years ago and no improvements or changes have been made, besides adding melee combat as a more viable option. You'll be using your brain only to think about how bad the story is because the gameplay can be simplified to go behind enemy, push button, wait, repeat. Except 3 occasions, where you fight a boss or miniboss. Except two of them are the exact same thing, so there is only one unique boss encounter in the game. Braindead gameplay and a boring looting loop with an option in accessibility that basically loots for you as it pings every god damn resource take center stage as your characters talk about meaningless garbage. The story is bare bones, rarly elaborating on anything until up to 2 to literally 15 hours later. Your not shown any repercussions for your actions until so many hours later you either forgot or it's such an insignificant detail it makes no stupid difference. Like on day 2, you kill this girl who was playing this game, and on day to of abby's timeline, its revealed her name was whitney, and she said one line of dialogue, and you can buy her **** model in the extras screen on the main menu. Its trying to preach to you that revenge is bad, and it only leads to making te situation worse, but nobody **** cares the bastard killed MOTHER**** JOEL. He was one of my favorite video game characters and this game ruined that for me, because he also is a rare one that was in an awful situation and had a mostly happy ending. The best moments in this game are the flashbacks as ellie, especially the one at the museum and the one that happened after dina kissed ellie. Im not one who cries during video games, but when ellie apologizes to Joel and says she wants to be closer with him I was right with Joel tryna hold in my tears. It feels like all the effort in writing went into these flashbacks with Joel, because th writers knew the main person people wanted was Joel. I'm not saying they're didnt deserve the effort, the former hero deserves this treatment, but comparatively, the games average writing is mediocre at best. I'm also going to say it was to lokg and the whole playing as abby section really bugged me. Your playing as the bad guy your also lead to hate, and if you hate the character your playing as, you dont want to play the game. This whole section frustrated me to all hell as it goes on for longer than ellie's section did, if you didnt **** around for to long. I resorted to running by a majority of human and infected by the time I got to abby, and it was still 2 hours longer than my ellie section. I'm not going to say anything more because I could rant for longer if I could, but i want to talk about the endings. It should have stopped at the farmhouse, with ellie refusing Tommy's pleas and having to deal with the trauma as punishment for killing and torturing people. That way, it could have still gone along with the game policy of revenge bad, acceptance good. But no it doesn't and "that's fine I guess because it can be finished right?" I thought. If I get to kill her, then I'd be fine with that ending to. But nope. This is where the choice should have come in. You could kill her or spare her. If you killed her, the prisoners would find Lev, help him back to health, and he would hunt you. If you spared her, the ending that happend would happen, but dina would be home waiting for you to return. But no the game is ass and doesn't do that. I have ranted for long enough have a good day and dont buy this game.… Expand
