    They ruined the saga by producing characters without charisma and forcing you to play with characters that it is impossible to empathize with, and if I only wanted to kill zombies and armed people I would play the damn call of duty black ops.

    Played the game till the end, and i regret every second of it. why play a story driven game when the story is complete trash, i mean yea the gameplay is fine but that doesn't matter with these types of games you don't play TLOU 1/2 for the gameplay.

    Part 3 could be about The rabbit that Ellie killed.
    A revenge play for the rabbit's family to kill Ellie.

    Thank you, you really hit the energy of 2020 and made it a nonsensical s....show. The critic reviews being all positive shows how deep these nerds are in the pockets of the developers. The actual user rating reflects how much of a slap in the gamer communities’ face this game is. From the deeply immersive, emotional and exhilarating the wonderful adventure we got to enjoy in the first part. Now it plays on bland revenge without any emotional depth and a non captivating narrative.

    Silly and childish love triangles with focus on sexuality and confused spoiled halfgrowns. No news on the virus, the cure, improve the characters we got to love from the first part, but u decided to butcher them. I am beyond sad.    … Expand

    I have been waiting for this game for many years.
    This game has a completely messy plot. A lot of uninteresting flat characters that do not bother you. The story is trying too hard to show you: “Look, these characters are good with dogs! Do you still think they are bad? Look how good they are with the kids! And one of them is actually pregnant! ”
    But this does not work at all.
    The ending of the story is so bad and completely meaningless. You kill a lot of people to avenge the death of someone you love, except for the damned killer. The player has no connection with the characters, because they behave so stupidly.
    What is the message of this story? Is revenge bad? So, why did a character who did not take revenge lose everything, but a character who actually took revenge got a damn new family?

    if this is a TV series or movie, I think it's fine, but for a game, you have to control a character who is give you strong negative feelings one second before then you have to control that character, no matter what happens next, this kind manipulate really disgusting.

    This game is an utter disgrace to everything that the first game stood for and established. Such a letdown. We waited years and years for an extension to a game that was loved for its story and characters. Playing it was like a kick in the balls. It was a big fat drag, and every time I played a certain character I lost my will to live. The game is pretty much just trash, I admire the graphics, mechanisms, and realism, but the story itself was just horrible, disgusting, and a salty taste to my mouth. Joel dies in the first 2 hours of the game, amazing right!? Not only that, imagine manipulating the game trailers to make it look like you play as Joel and Ellie to only see Joel die as soon as the game is starting quite literally. I waited for several years for this to be hugely disappointing. You can save yourself around $60 to $100 dollars by not purchasing the game! The game itself is also very slow-paced and does not feel like the first one, eye-catching and appealing to the player, it feels slow and just depressing. I also would like to point out how it is such a scam to review this game a 95 and game of the year, Imagine paying others to get a good review. The problem with this game too is that it isn't what us the real fans expected, Joel and Ellie, just a mediocre game.… Expand

Then you get to play as the man looking woman murderer of your main character for more than few hours and have some dry sex with the self insert of the plotwriter. However, as a game it falls flat: animation that is not scripted seems stuk in the 90's. The idea, promise, characters of the first part are simply buried. Half of the game you are forced to play for an absolutely vile hero, trying to show two sides of the coin. But it does not work!     they ruined characters from the previous game with strange decisions that made no sense for that character

    bad new characters that i couldnt invest myself in or care about (every single character in the abby storyline)

    weird pacing where they kill a character and then make you flashback to see who that person was

    the biggest blueballs moment i have ever had from the horrible ending

    torture porn near the end of the game for no reason (ellie gets impaled on a tree branch and this does nothing, they just wanted to be edgy i guess) and just strange things for shock value that do nothing story wise

    but seriously this game is not the 10/10 that those cave men said it was. they ruined the last of us and i dont believe that this game is canon. it felt more like a fanfiction than a last of us game. like the writing in this game was nowhere near as entertaining and believable than in the first game. like listening to dialogue between bill and joel is so entertaining but nothing ever comes close to that level in this game. that coupled with the horrible new “characters” made it even worse. they are just random people and their only character traits are that they either make jokes sometimes (dina) or they were loyal (jesse) just overall an awful experience because half the game you play as a horribly written character that nobody cares about. this choice was a horrible gameplay choice as well because it completely resets everything and gives you a new weapon set and upgrades and things. it felt so bad to restart everything and i hated everything about playing as abby.    … Expand

Despite all the rumors spread before the release of part 2, I still have faith on naughty dog, one of the best game studio ever existed . However, naughty dog disappointed me badly this time ,part 2 has great graphic feature, good combat system , and a disasterious story telling . Joel , a survival expert , a killer machine, who survival countless deadly events, can smell immediate danger in front of someone who pretend to be injured and try to kill joel . And joel just revealed his truely infamous name to bunch of unkown people , surely he just saved that **** but this is post-apocalypse story，he can't be that naive to trust someone just because he save her life. If I were the scriptwriter of part 2， I would rather let Ebby kidnapped Elly as bait to lure joel out，and joel get seriously wounded before getting Elly out of prison. Parents would do anything insane to save their child, that's how joel act inprudently and get himself killed. Also thanks for the lesson in gay sex and synagogues, I'm really glad that was in my game about a zombie apocalypse. The Israeli director couldn't help but force his ideologies into the game, not very surprising. I'm literally never going to buy a western game again because of this. Every game today is so **** pozzed and horrible. It's like watching movies now, all the magic of video games is gone.     Music, graphics, system... All of them is amazing except story.
    The writing of this game just ruined everything else.
    I wouldn't feel disgusting like this if players can choose endings or it just change the way to tell this story.

Most of us don't care that the lead is female, nor that she's gay. The reason is that the story, writing and dialogue is awful. As someone who played and loved the first game, I was left dumbfounded how the everyone from the first game felt so out of character. After their stupid decisions gets Joel killed, the story devolves into this bland revenge plot, with the moral being 'revenge is bad'. And the story is all this game has, as the gameplay is nearly unchanged from the original despite it being released a whole console generation later. If this game wasn't a sequel to this beloved game, I would give it a mediocre 5/10, which makes it sting even more: a continuation of one of the best tales in video games is just mediocre. Niveau gameplay à part l'ajout des chiens, c'est exactement la même formule et le même game design que le premier ...

    De manière générale je trouve que ce jeu n'a pas 1/10ème de l'impact et de la qualité de narration que le premier avait, je sais pas ce que Druckmann a fumé quand il disait avoir fini plein de fois le jeu et pleuré à chaque fois, car perso je n'ai ressentis absolument aucun attachement à l'histoire et aux nouveaux perso et j'ai trouvé certaines scènes tellement clichées que ça me faisait lever les yeux aux ciels

    J'ai peur du futur d'Uncharted quand je vois ce qu'est devenu cette licence, le studio qui a crée ce jeu semble être totalement différent et à l'opposée du Naughty Dog qui a fait les jeux avec lesquels j'ai grandis qui ont marqués mon adolescence et dont je me souviendrais toute ma vie    … Expand

    •Joel dies in the most stupidest way, and is portrayed as a dumbass, same with Tommy.

    •The game forces you to play as an unlikable character that you will NOT want to play as, that killed Joel all because of "being woke".

    •The rest of the time where you're not playing as the BS character, and you play as Ellie, it's either in flashbacks or a BS storyline that turns out to be totally pointless.

    •The old characters either end up dying, injured or alive but stupid AF, same with all the new characters, it's like ND grabbed people that really didn't want to act there part.

    •The ending is **** Ellie goes on a killing rampage where she murders hundreds of people for revenge, only to get to the person responsible for all her pain, what does she do? Let's her go. The whole entire plotline (or lack thereof) revolves around revenge, yet she doesn't get revenge.... huh?

    All in all the only thing I can give them credit for is animations, sound track and visuals.

    The gameplay is the same, and the story is a massive crap on what was a 7 year period to wait for what should've been a perfect game.    … Expand

After an amazing first part of The last of us 2 that mainly talked about the relationship between Ellie and Joel between father and daughter that is the main thing we liked about Tlou .We liked the story, game-play, dailogue between the charactars, emotions etc....
    But if you told me that Tlou2 will be excluded from all of that i would have not believed you but after i played the game .i saw how poor the story is. Joel being killed a painful death shows how the devolpers really does not care about the main charactars and putting some agenda like Ellie being a lesbian and making the game in the hands of woman that does not make any sense at least make a balance between men and woman in the game not because feminism and this things that bring views and easy money you run after them! unfortunatly naughty dog ran for the fashion ,naughty dog ran for the thing that brings money and joel being killed is not the problem the way he dies is the problem the way the does not make any sense also the game unlike the first part. tlou2 talks about revenge .A renenge for a main charactar being killed by abby i know how the game wants us to hate abby for what it did to joel but not like that not with a story that does not make sense but the gameplay is very good the way Ellie can squeeze through tiny place makes the game fast and amazing in terms of the gameplay . you can choose your approach stealth using your bow or suppressor guns or variety of guns where you can upgrade or exploring new places where you can find things that may help you throughout the game and where you can control every thing in the game from the colors of subtitles and health of the opponent and and where zombies can listen to you etc... in the end i can only say that this game is very very very disappointing and I am real sad about what they did to the game    … Expand

    So before anything i'm telling you all right of the bet that i'm really pissed off about this.
    The last of us ll, One of the most if not the most anticipated gaming sequel of this year, it takes apart a few years after the original one (The last of us l) from 2013, where we see Joel and Ellie take of together the unknown.
    Now you might be wondering why the 3/10 score if this was such an anticipated sequel, well let me tell you why, in order to give a 10/10 review like most of the so called professional reviewers out there a game/book/movie/series needs to have certain characteristics that sets it apart from the others.
    Most of the reviewers gave this game a 10/10 review which is already weird because normally there is always some negative and some neutral reviews and if you played the game you will get to the same conclusion that many of us have because this is not sequel material. They presented us with a game shouldn't even have been release but why?
    Well the graphics are amazing and that's truth and i wasn't expecting anything less from naughty dog and that is the only reason that im not giving the review a 0/10 and a 3/10. Why a 3/10?| you may ask be asking... well because the graphics of the game should never be the reason why a game as a 5/10 or even a 10/10 review which normally is the reason that people who play games casually gives it to them. So now the real reason why i don't give anymore credit to the game, well for starters this game is a sequel and sequels normally tend to follow a path set by the first one, and what i'm trying to say is that this game has nothing to do with The last of us l in terms of story development and character development. Naughty dog literally takes a piss on what fans loved about the characters and what the characters were and completely remakes their whole way of thinking and acting, Joel is not actually the Joel we met that was bitter towards strangers (i guess 5 or 6 years really change someone's perspective of the whole world even in an apocalypse), Ellie goes on a killing spree out of revenge for Joel's death (which is the whole point of the game, getting a revenge...) just so that in the end she doesn't even get's her revenge after killing maybe hundreds of people because and let me emphasize this BECAUSE killing is not a solution (well Ellie the why the killing spree what did the other ones did to you to deserve it?). That's the biggest problem with this game, this history ... a revenge history isn't something that marks the players it just isn't something that you enjoyed watching and playing it doesn't stick to your memory because it's just a normal story just like the other, there is literally nothing different from this history and the one from some indie game with a overall rating of 3 or 4 a game with a rating of 10 needs a compelling history that will stay with you for years, this might be a game, but just like movies and series you can have pieces of it with you for the rest of your life they can be lessons or experiences that sometimes might even change you. So now that the biggest problem with this game is addressed i'm going to speak about the secondary problems with it.
    The gameplay itself, we were promised a revolutionary gameplay but what we really got was empty promisses, the gameplay it's almost the same as in The Last Of Us l, now don't get me wrong they did changed it, they added dogs! i mean what's there to not love about it?
    We all loved the way the game was meant to be played in 2013 but where is the improvement? you still craft items in the same way as you did before so no improvement there, the looting system is the exact same one so nothing new there either they may have add some new animations to the fight's but in overall despite the change in graphics the gameplay stayed pretty similar the on in The last of Us l.
    So in conclusion i'm giving this game a 3/10 score    … Expand

    Cons:
    - Story. Oh gods the story. It tries to be an edgy revenge story but falls soundly flat on that because there is no payoff. It forces you to play a character where it's made clear early on that you're supposed to hate her and tries to make her seem more 'sympathetic'. Honestly how they thought they could pull this off is a joke. For the ending I thought nothing could top Mass Effect 3 for a horrifically bad end but this game does it by a clear margin.
    - Mis-advertisement ND uses Joel to promote the game. Joel barely exists in the game and virtually all the promotional imagery wasn't in the game or it was doctored.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Before the haters hate, yes I have played through this game to completion and no, I am in no way against the LGBTQ+ community. Now that is out of the way, let's begin and spoiler alert by the way.

    Well, actually... where do I start with this mess. Look, I am a massive fan of the first game - so much so this was my most anticipated game of the past 4 years since its announcement. Firstly, lets start with the story/plot, and where it goes wrong in so many ways but also what it does right.

    Okay so, this "sequel" follows Joel and Ellie again right? ... Right? Well... No. Joel, my personal and I know a lot of other fans too, favourite protagonist in a video game EVER is killed off within the first 2 HOURS of this 25 hour game. Now this COULD have worked, however the way they executed (no pun intended) this was HORRIFIC. For starters, it just straight up makes no sense as to why Joel and Tommy would wonder in to a room full of strangers after 25 years of building a natural survivors instinct. Furthermore, the way Joel inevitably is killed is so inhumane and spiteful to a character we've grown to adore of the past 7 years, a character we were told we would be following in a new adventure but were unfortunately lied to by an incompetent marketing strategy.

    The game then follows Ellie, our new protagonist and god damn she is great and we can't wait to get sweet revenge on Joel's murderer, Abby... Right? RIGHT!? Well... No. Half way through the game, the developers decided it be a good idea for us to play as Joel's murderer, for her to not be an antagonist, but a second protagonist. This is where the game falls flat in many ways, I can't count the amount of times I intentionally had Abby's throat ripped apart by a clicker, or fall from a great height to her demise, finding satisfaction in seeing this character die in the meanest fate, something I as a player genuinely believed she deserved. Any attempt at making us sympathise with Abby is in vain as we unfortunately already know what she has done and myself as a player only wanted one thing and that was for Ellie to avenge Joel's death.

    Anyway, in short, we go back to playing as Ellie and find Abby after a short time has passed. And we're about to get our sweet, sweet revenge... Right? RIGHT!? Oh for fuc...    … Expand
