    The whole game makes us chase one goal, only to plug the plug when ur about to complete said goal. That to for the most **** reason ever. Truely a sad state of affairs and a pathetic send off to much beloved characters

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I waited 5 Years to play this game. It breaks my heart to see how they ruined my absolute all time favorite game. Part 2 is absolute trash. Naughty Dog ruined a Masterpiece. The game is more disappointing and bad than i was expecting. I didn't want to play anymore but I forced myself to end this game. In the end, it wasn't worth it for me to buy this game because i'm more disappointed than satisfied. The end of part 2 is horrible and a huge flop for me. There are more negative than positive things i could say about Part 2. This definitely ruined my day and life.… Expand

    The graphics are superb and the gun/fighting is fun and the exploration is refined.

    ...thats all.

    Now for the bad:

    The story has no weight in it, in the first u had the all humanities future in ur hands and in this one u have NOTHING u get the feeling of wanting revenge, thats for sure but 2 hours in u loose it.

    The AI of ur partners are soooooo god damn stupid, most of the time i was trying to sneak kill some guys and Dina or Jesse would just block my way, since u cant push them or ghost them (pass through them as air) it often ended in my death.

    Sometimes you play as Abby which is the main villain, the thing is that she is so bad of a person that u FEEL BAD for playing her, she does very very bad things.

    There is alot more **** to complain but i have to go play lifeline on ps2.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's legit so sad how they ruined an incredible franchise just with a snap of fingers. I hate everything of it. People that defends this game just because of the graphics are indeed stupid. Graphics don't make the game, storylines do, mechanics do, etc.

    Not even 3 hours of game and they just kill Joel, with a freaking golf stick. He at first saves a member of some group and after that the hole group goes to a house, which Joel never have been there before! In the previous game we see how Joel is never confident about his location, he never feels comfortable, always doubting about everything, being always one step ahead about all situations, he is savage. But now, in this game, it's weird how a smart man transformed into a neglected man. He deserved better. Or even a honorable death if it's the "only" way to continue a story. A man that we all cared about, and we see his death in this miserable way, it hurts to see, to be honest.

    They also did false advertising in the trailer, putting in a lot of moments Joel, making it seem like he was going to live all along. But that of course didn't happen.
    Later Ellie looks for revenge, wanting to kill Abby (the person who killed Joel). Abby (no one knows why) left Ellie and Tommy escape (yep, they both watched the death of Joel... Well, Tommy was knocked out so... I guess just Ellie did), afterwards she goes after Ellie. They have a mini confrontation, and then when Abby had the opportunity of killing Ellie, you guessed it! She leaves again.
    Ellie is now going absolutely after her (Abby), in the process of getting to her, Ellie kills 4 (or more, sorry if i counted wrongly) of her friends.

    At the end Ellie finds Abby like like a Jesus model in a wooden stake. She saves her of the stake, Abby gets a friend that was on the same situation, they go to a boats that where at the shore. Before Abby and his sleepy friend leave on the boat, Ellie then decides to fight... Punches there, punches over there, ok. Ellie is about to kill her by drowning her, the moment we all expected, the revenge we were all looking for through all the game, this revenge was the aim of the story... But well, you know how this turned up... Ellie is about to kill her, but a flash of Joel playing the guitar appears, and for some reason we can't really understand, Ellie stops drowning her and she let her go leave, the main purpose of the story was to finish her. Why? That doesn't make any sense. If this was real, if you get a flash of someone you love and you have the person who took that other person from you... Wouldn't you get even more pissed off and kill her at the instant? This thing of "killing is bad" doesn't make sense because you just killed a bunch of people just to get to the main objective, you can't use the moral when you want, because that's not hoe it works! It just looks too forced.

    Another thing is the orientation of the protagonist, Ellie. The problem is not that she is homosexual/bisexual, the problem is that they don't normalize it, even at the start they talked about how she kissed a girl... Like, we don't care, is fine if you like whatever you like, but don't put it every time in coalition. If Ellie was a heterosexual girl, probably we wouldn't see a lot of conversation at all over her oriented sexuality. I really think they use the topics of the LGBTQ+ topics just for marketing.    … Expand

    I loved the first game, i thought it was a masterpiece. After not believing any of the leaks i still went out and bought the game. I am shocked by the fact that they totally altered the story to ensure all people playing the game have an opinion (they like) on gay stuff, as a gay i do not care about other peoples opinion on my sexual orientation.     No spoilers. Story is terribly unplayable. I cannot relate to anything that's going on and after waiting so long for part 2 , going back and experiencing part 1 and having that band with characters is definitely not in part 2

    Story line is written by a 3 year old,the graphics are good as expected but naughty dog needs to remember what made last of us 1 so good is the perfect storyline. this game KILLS all of the characters you meet and then they come back from dead even when they take a headshots

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I loved TLOU and went in this game blind and didn’t look at any leaks. I also didn’t believe how bad the Story was based on the leaks and fan reactions. That is how much I loved TLOU. I gave every benefit of doubt to them believing that the master piece they made will continue I mean uncharted never disappointed me.

    But. First a little rant before the review.

    Joel dies in the first hour of the game. The man I waited to play as for this long was denied to me. The man we all fell in love with in TLOU. But His death serves nothing but a shallow plot line of revenge which could have been anyone else but Joel and it would still have worked. I mean just kill Dina she served no real story reason in the game. The story.

    The story was very shallow and full of plot holes. It’s about Ellie looking for revenge for Joel’s death. That’s it. And guess what, she does not take revenge for Joel’s death at the end by letting go of the person who killed Joel for no reason. Yes half way through the game you will change too play as the killer Abby for around 10 hours trying to show the bond with the group that “really hated” Joel which you won’t see in this story. You then go as Abby to do a side quest saving some children which again serves no actual meaning for the overall story as they become irrelevant the moment they were introduced. But when it changes back to Ellie, only the player experienced the 10hours of game and story with Abby, there should not have been a change of heart for Ellie to suddenly not take her revenge! She has nothing on Abby, she literally met her for 10 minutes and then decided killing her was not right. I would also like to point out that Joel’s death was very out of his character trusting some random stranger out in the woods which he made very clear he never did in the first game. I really hated the story, abhorred it. Two female leads with one that was forcibly shoved to our face even though we never asked for it. I could go on how bad the story is but there are reviews that go much more in-depth than me so I’ll leave it there.

    Gameplay.

    The gameplay feels exactly the same as the first game. Yes some upgrades are done to the gameplay. But, the overall experience is exactly the same. It is still very hard to aim properly with your gun, the hand to hand combat is still as shallow button mashing with occasional QTE prompt to dodge. They added a jump button which also serves no purpose as all the actual part that need navigating is still very automatic. You can’t grab higher ledges cos of you jump, you can’t jump over stuff because you can jump . I pretty much forgot about the jump button Zero minutes into the game and was surprised half way through the game when I accidentally pressed the wrong button and jumped whiling fighting a horde clickers. Oh yes. The enemies do not change much. I can’t remember exactly what 1 had but this game still has the same trope with some dogs and new silent enemies introduced. Doesn't change the 25 hour experience in much anyway.

    There is jarringly a lack of environmental puzzles also. So the game revolves around getting from A to B with not much in the middle. Some small areas are more opened up for you to explore but by the time your hoarding the Nth house, it also gets boring and you realize very fast that there is only so much there is in any building that’s not in the main road. A water bottle, tape, pills and the same thing again.

    I did get bored half way through the game and just wanted to rush to the end so I was finished with the game and this kind of experience is awful to have in a game.

    Graphics and sound.

    This is where it shines. The environment and sound is absolutely gorgeous nothing to say about this much. You will love it if it’s for the music or graphics. It is probably the best looking PS4 game to date. I’m surprised they could make everything so detailed.

    Conclusion.

    This game made the worst fears of fans into reality. They kill the main protagonist and shove some random person to force you to like with very little character development (forgot to mention the whole game goes through only 3 days ingame time). Your struggle is irrelevant through out the game as the ending denies all that you were playing for. If this is what SJW stands for in gaming I’m afraid for the future of gaming.     The game looks great and I do love the wide variety of accessibility features they added. On a mechanical level the gameplay itself is decent, but it's nothing you haven't seen before in similar games. But in a story driven game like TLoU2 these things are just footnotes at best.     Characters that were cunning killing machines in the first game were turned into bumbling baffons. The game is full of shallow dialogue unmemorable characters, who are forgotten as soon as they leave the screen. The climax of the story only works if you care about both of the main characters; sadly the game doesn't provide anything meaningful that would make you actually care about Abbie.
    We get so see a few beautiful Ellie-Joel moments in flashbacks (Ellie and Joel in the museum is easily the best part of the game). Sadly these flashbacks don't make the player feel better about TLoU2, since they only serve as a reminder of what this game could have been .    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game is beutiful, no other way to say it. Seattle looks amazing truly gives you the feeling of being in a city that is almost fully reclaimed by nature.

    Gameplay hasent changed much from the last game which i find pretty sad. After 7 years I was hoping for some improvements especially to those clunky aiming mechanics. They also had almost no enviornmental puzzles like in the first game which dident help much with giving the gameplay loop some variety. You pretty much just sneak around while stealth killing people for most of the game which does get pretty boring after a while.

    The story was the most disappointing part of the game. I never played the last of us for it's gameplay for me it was always about the story. The first game is probably the most satisfying story in any game that I have played so far so I had high hopes for this one but sadly it did not deliver at all. The pacing feels at times really wonky and parts of the story just appear really forced. Joel's death felt very hollow, instead of a stark emotional moment it felt draining and did not really make me want to play more of this game. I was sure from the beginning that at some point joel would lose his live somehow but I did not expect this to happen in the first 2 hours of the game. The last of us 1 was so amazing because of the interactions and chemistry between Joel and Ellie. The little conversations they had while you traversed the world made it feel so much more alive while in this you mostly walk around alone talking to yourself from time to time but that is about it.

    The second half of the game just feels like a giant poorly written sidequest where you get to play as Abby the person who murdered Joel. Naughty Dog tries to humanize the people you are hunting down with a 10 hour side adventure. I feel like this part could have been much shorter and in the end was a bit unnecessary. From the beginning I was sure that Abby's group where also just normal people like everyone else that had a good reason for hunting Joel but some of their characters are just written so shallow that you still dont care about most of them in the end.

    The end of this game just feels like a cop out and I still wish they would give you the option to just drown Abby. They try to throw a final gut punch by showing a flashback of Joel where Ellie decides to try and repair their relationship shortly before he died. This could have been shown at the beginning of the game to give some depth to Ellies quest for vengeance since they make it appear for most of the game that they had been estranged at the point where he was killed. This feels like a sad attempt to get an undeserved emotional response from the player since the ending is anything other then satisfying.

    All in all this game has been a big disappointment, it lost most of the charm that made the first last of us such a unique and wonderful experience. You will barely interact with Joel except for a few flashbacks even tough the trailers make it appear as if he has a bigger part in the story which I found such a waste of a great character.    … Expand

    I do not like this game, i can't accept the dead of Joel in that way from the daughter of a PNG of the first TLOU, i can't accept impersonate the hateful character of Abby, i can't accept the vapid ending.
    The story of TLOU ends in the first game, there was no need for a sequel, don't buy this garbage.

This game achieved nothing bar outdoing any sequel failure to date. Not only have you made something atrociously ugly it casts a murky shadow on its predecessor.

    The Last of Us Part II is everything you didn't want to be in the sequel. Hope druck will leave the company because he's a terrible storyteller. This is a great game with the weakest story and characters with stupid decisions and motivation. Tries so hard to disconnect itself from its predecessor that it ends up disconnecting itself from the player

Un gran juego con grandes gráficas, gran jugabilidad fácilmente puede ser el mejor juego de PS4, pero no lo es por su historia floja y sobre todo mal ejecutada, la idea de matar a Joel es buena para el arranque de la venganza tanto de Ellie como la del jugador, la brutalidad que muestra es excelente y por eso intento matar a cada enemigo que se me cruza, tengo tanto odio hacia Abby que ni me interesa su parte de la historia solo quería verla muerta y también a ese niño de mierda, y que al final no puedas matarla es una patada a los huevos, si querían dar el mensaje de que la venganza no deja nada bueno era de otra forma, que Ellie mate a Abby y al niño de mierda y que después de eso al volver a casa esté sola, incluso después de vengar la muerte de Joel la persona que más la quiso en el mundo, se de cuenta que nunca más podrá ver a Joel de nuevo y así sintiéndose triste, sola, vacía y para terminar con el ciclo se hubiera suicidado y así cerrar la historia de nuestros primeros personajes y dejar el tablero limpio para una posible tercera entrega.

Political correctness agenda definitely felt throughout the story. The story itself while trying to carried a great message was poorly planned and executed The fact that they killed the beloved MC from the first game, Joel in the very beginning did not help to win over the fans. The death of your old main character did not matter if the story was well written, which is not in the case this game. The ending was awful and left a lot to be desired. The game mechanics and control felt clunky and showed little to none improvement from the first game or the last Naughty Dog games, Uncharted 4. The AI is decent but felt a little bit like a downgrade then the previous title. The only redeemable side of this game was the graphics and the design. I'm glad that played this game using my cousin's digital copy from his account because this game is not worth my money.… Expand

    Overall they should of just made a prequel, now what kind of f up things Joel and tommy did to survive as it was implied in the first game. Give us a closer look on Tommy and the fireflies war against the army. Joels story how he turned the way he is.     После я чувствовал себя пустым, можно сказать находился в депрессии.
    Нам дают возможность поиграть за Элли, Джоела (вначале) и Эбби. Убийство Джоэла просто вызывает чувство, что вот Элли то отомстит, но какое-же нас ждет дальше разочарование.
    Если кратко описывать сюжет, то половина игры, когда мы играем за Элли, выглядит довольно-таки неплохо. Но когда дают сыграть за убийцу Джоэла( этакую почти бесчувственную машину для убийств) тебе не хочется ей сопереживать вообще. И разработчик такой, лэээ сопереживай там, да. К моменту прохождения, на 12 часу тебя просто тошнит от игры, даже если ты смотришь ее на Ютубе.
    2/10 и только за тот рабский труд, о котором все забыли. Было очень много сканадалов на эту тему. Что ж Псы теперь корпорация Зла, надеюсь геймдевы когда-нибудь поймут насколько все это СЖВ вшитое говно губит игры. И да я всегда нейтрально относился к меньшиствам. После этой игры - мое отношение крайне негативное, спасибо куколду Нилу и его поехавшей фемке. Надеюсь за 6 лет его подлизываний, Анита наконец даст ему понюхать ее вареник !

The gameplay what okay, the graphics was also good, but this is a game that focuses heavily on the story, if you **** that up, then there’s no point of playing.

And the gameplay while being nothing special is still pretty good, if you like the gameplay of TLoU 1 you will like 2. But aside from a few other superficial positives that's about it. The cons on the other hand are devastating, I get what they were going for with their anti-revenge narrative but they completely counteract that by having you mercilessly kill dozens of people to find Abby without a second thought only to say violence is bad when you find Abby herself. In the end the point comes across more as it's okay to kill all of the people around the person who wronged you or a loved one, but that person themselves is off limits. Because of this ending the player is left unsatisfied as nothing was ever really accomplished during the game.… Expand

    They planned something completly different and ended up with this somehow, probably because they lost 70% of their employees and some idiot wanted to push his own ideas.

    joel wasnt meant to die that early, there was clearly a journey planned for both him and ellie, but they removed it, also abby wasnt supposed to look like that at all, if you watch the old trailers, she didnt have that kind of steroidblasted body, which doesnt even make sense for that kind of world by the way.

    ND took a huge risk with abby and completly failed, she is not likeable at all and they **** try so hard to make you like her.
    The game thinks the best time to tell Abbies backstory is when the game hits its climax, like what the ****

Now, The graphics are amazing, gameplay is still pretty much the same and voice acting is very good, now for the truth. The game is an absolute mess story sucks, the leaks were true, you don't even get enough time to settle into the game until Joel gets taken out its because of that stupid decision the Devs made that really took me out of the game and made want to jump out of my window (I didn't.) But this game literally leads to nowhere. Abby lives because Ellie let's her go?! Really?! I'm glad I didn't buy the game and was able to switch it out for a better game.… Expand

    I am very sad to write this... The part 1 was more than a game, it was the experience of a lifetime. The part 2 was the greatest dissapointment i ever had. Games are supposed to be enjoyable and unfortunately this one was not. I just hope now i can forget it ever existed.

    We have waited 7 years for this game... Almost everything in this game is great. The graphics, sound design and somewhat the gameplay.

    But the story just doesn't make sense. The intro and the ending of this game are just so unsatisfying und bad/pathetic.

    Do not buy it but rather watch some gameplays and look for yourself.
