    Very great graphics, it's a real big next step in the gaming industry. But man did I dislike the story(no it's not about Ellie being gay or all the other gender stuff for all the SJW out there) The Story was a complete mess, the timeline was bad . The way they did Joel justice was horrible imo. The way they force you to play Abby was very annoying to me.     But what about the others? They try so hard to make us feel bad for killing abby, but they failed so hard that have a lot of videos named “Killing Abby”

    Gameplay is the same as the first and the scenery is great. The storytelling and the portrayals of characters is disappointing. I was left dismayed and questioned Naughty Dogs point of direction in this game.

    This is a bad game.
    The game is trying to teach the player to show mercy when the player got no reasons to do so.
    Although the gameplay and art style is great, the story itself is bad, very bad. It is like Gordon Ramsay trying to make a dish with **** it just won't work.

They Try to make a deep and emotional game but they fail. Evrything that ame the Last of us 1 amazing was Gone here. One thing i must say is that the Gamplay was amazing and at least half of the game were you play as ellies was good... but then you get to play as Abby and all goo downhill fast. They try soo hard to make ellies looks bad and abby good and yet they even fail again and again. and the nerve to force you to play as Abby the killer of one of the most loved characther in gaming is mindblowing for me........… Expand

    I remember how excited I was to get this game me and my dad pre-ordered the game when we got the game we were very disappointed I couldn't beat the game because it was so bad we traded the game in the next day

    OVERALL REVIEW: so I have completed the game and now I can say that I have played the worst game ever. They could have made it so much better but they went full drunk with this one. Almost half my gameplay was searching for the resources and collectibles. They have made it so bad that I don't think I am ever going to buy a naughty dog game again. The game is very very very slow. Sometimes it start to feel like they have needlessly stretched the gameplay just to make the overall game duration longer. I got so bored by this game I had to force myself to complete it for just knowing the ending.
    The ending was very bad.
    The overall game is very bad. I think this is the worst PS4 game ever.

    Can't believe that i waited 7 years for this game, it's not just the fact that the rhythm of the plot make no sense at all, or the poor evolution of the characters, this game feels completely artificial, tries to be interesting with political stuff and moral lessons, but it fails miserably for being pretentious.

The ways Naughty Dog manipulates and forces you to do things you would never do is a huge let down. The ending will depress the hell out of you and leave you not ever wanting to pick up this game again. I honestly wished Part 2 was never madeI really hated the game. More specifically the narrative.     Visuals & gameplay is great, but can't stand the abysmal storywriting & joyless character arcs. Much like StarWars8 - established characters are underdeveloped and behave out of character to try 'shock&awe' but just feels hollow, whilst focusing on new characters that lack any charm or charisma. Just ruins the playing experience despite the solid gameplay

    A highly anticipated game for so many years by so many people. Including me.

    First off, we all have seen the trailers. It was hyping us all up for the sequel. Looking back now i see how they have lied and falsely markedet this game. Should be illegal.

    The story is decent, not good but decent. And by that i mean the plot is understandable. But it is not okay for this game. As the first game was my favorite game of all time. The sequel just takes a huge pile of **** and throws it all over you and spits on you. Thats how it feels. For the story is where this game fails. I must say credit where credits due. The game mechanics in this game is very much improved from the first installement. Its fluid and feel really good, but thats all there is of good things i have to say about this game.

    Years and years of waiting and anticipating this game. We get it, now i wanna be reasonable when reviewing this game. But i can’t be reasonable with how this game is.

    How can someone in their right mind decide it was a good idea to kill a such beloved charachter like Joel in such a disrespectful way. And topping it off make us play half the game as the person who killed your most loved character in a video game. It baffels me. You want us to feel for this Abby? No way. How you can write a masterpiece of a game, and follow up with this disaster.

    You might feel at times the real Naughty Dog is held at gunpoint after you complete the game. Like this aint Naughty Dog.    … Expand

    A huge fan of the first instalment and waited 8 years for this game, but to only feel like i did when the credits rolled in game of thrones S8 & disney Starwars trilogy. I will go straight to the point in this review:
    The good:

    The bad:
    - Story: The obvious is the storytelling that doesn't compare to the first game, i do understand it is a bold move by Neil but having social agenda and shoving such themes to gamers not only break the immersion/realism of the flow of the story but also creates unnatural events which i can only say to subvert expectation of those who play it. Of course i won't spoil, but the game tries to pull a red wedding moment without any build up and utimately just reminds me of the the 'iron fleet' plot hole in Game of thrones S8.
    - Characters: The game forces a femenism agenda that utimately fails to portray them as strong and independent characters (the game seems to insult more than portray femenism in a positive manner). I know anita sarkeesian took some sort of contribution or influence on druckman in writing some of these characters, and it shows with all female characters taking all the glory and moments that are not earned while the men are seen as 'bigots'. Now there are heaps of games and movies out there that do illustrate the natural earned independent female role for example THE LAST OF US PART 1. All characters have flaws, fears and weaknesses which most of these notions must be overcomed in order to develop throughout the game and thus creates a realistic and likeable characters. This game however provides you characters with titles and assume that will be enough for you to either symphathise or like these characters such as 'pregnant lady going to the frontline', 'bastard child that is on roids' & 'transgender daughter living in a viking esque society'. These characters could have been explored more in dept and had a potential to build a connection between the player with these characters but the writer just chose to list and shove as many social agenda message as possible. Worst part is all characters we know in the first game are completely written off with actions and dialogue that do not make any sense with their personalities such as Tommy for example. Again this can be compared with the poor writing in GOT S8 with daenerys who spent 7 seasons building up trust with the people and hopefully applying the same method in westeros... and we know how that went.

    Gameplay: The game is essentially the same as part 1 with only a few new infected class, an ability to prone/jump and human AI having different weapons according to what society they belong to. There are less puzzles than the first game such as the rope and rubbish bin to get you to places which is a disapointment. As a linear game it's expected from you to get from point A-B, would of been cool if they could introduce different branches that could provide different experiences to players and would increase the replayability.

    Overall as a standalone game it is a 5/10 and a wait for a massive sale (85%-90% OFF) as there are moments in this game that you can get enjoyment out of. However my score is a 1/10 for many reasons that is more related to the developer (Naughty Dog) and the director (Neil Druckman).
    Reason for the main score:
    1.A disgusting amount of cencorship to many honest critics and people who voice their concerns with the game (not able to take constructive critisim? not going to last long in a capitalistic society mate).

    2.Bullying reviewers and journalist who either mention any negativity of the game or it's development (which moves to my next point).

    3. Treatment of their staff: force to overwork their staff and have the audacity to hold off their checks after their contract has been fulfilled unless they fill an agreement form to not speak of how they are treated while employed at Naughty Dog. I know 'crunch' culture is a thing, but there is a fine line when you stripped not only their freedom at work but also their voice.

    4. Using bots/fans/followers to write negative reviews on well made games such as Ghost of Tsushima. A really coward and desperate method in trying to increase your rating for PS4 exclusive.

    Overall i have lost faith in Naughty dog and Neil Druckman and my only last sentence sums up what they have become. "A shamful display"- Shogun 2    … Expand

Killing a beloved character a couple ours into the game was just awful story telling and for a reason that doesn’t make sense to Joel’s character and then for an ending that doesn’t fit the story. Gameplay reminds me of how Mafia 3 feels where gameplan becomes repetitive and boring. Visuals were amazing but that’s about the only complement I have for it. Wouldn’t recommend.… Expand

    Imagine buying that most awaited concert ticket where the lead singer will only play a song and what follows doesn't sound at all like the band you knew and halfway through they swap the group altogether.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I would’ve liked this game if it were not for the fact that playing as Abby doesn’t go anywhere. It would’ve been good to start the game playing as her right in what are currently and basically flashbacks before Joel has a huge impact on her life. We would play her story until we hear Joel’s familiar voice, but without showing his character model to leave some secrecy. We then play what is the current beginning of the game until we reach the same point of Joel and Abby coming face-to-face and we go back to Abby’s perspective until Abby kills Joel. This would give her story the proper introduction and a satisfying conclusion. Then we play as Ellie as is currently in the game all the way through to the end. This would solve the unsatisfying gameplay conclusions. However, there is still the problem of the story shoving positive interactions from Abby and negative interactions from Ellie in order to attempt to make the player like Abby. This is manipulative and shows the developers knew that the character would be unlikeable due to the story thus far. It’s lazy and shows how little thought was put into the story. The gameplay and graphics can only do so much to bandage a game that has no multiplayer and is thus relying on it’s single-player story.… Expand

Se muita gente está reclamando do jogo porque não tem nada a ver com o primeiro isso é única e exclusivamente culpa da Naughty Dog e dos roteiristas, não das pessoas que supostamente "não entenderam o    ***SPOILERS DO COMEÇO DO JOGO***

    A maioria das análises falando bem do roteiro do game não leva em consideração o marketing com propaganda falsa e o "Parte 2" no nome "The Last of Us". Se muita gente está reclamando do jogo porque não tem nada a ver com o primeiro isso é única e exclusivamente culpa da Naughty Dog e dos roteiristas, não das pessoas que supostamente "não entenderam o propósito do jogo".

    TLOU1 é o jogo favorito de MUITA gente que esperou 7 anos pra jogar a continuação, é compreensível que estejam putos. O Joel morre precocemente em uma cena MUITO forçada (que joga no lixo uma das principais características dele, desconfiar de tudo e todos), e depois você é obrigado a jogar METADE do jogo inteiro com a assassina dele que tem 0 carisma e nem sequer apareceu nos trailers, esses mesmos trailers que baitam na cara dura que o Joel teria alguma participação na história, onde acharam que isso daria certo?.

    O jogo foi vendido como se a Ellie fosse a protagonista, todos os gameplays eram com ela e a Naughty Dog nunca mencionou que você jogaria 50% do jogo com outra personagem que nunca foi introduzida antes; e qual é o problema?, bom, a grande maioria das pessoas ignoram spoilers, gameplays e vazamentos antes de comprar o jogo, então muita gente se arrependeu de ter gastado 260 REAIS quando viu que era completamente diferente dos trailers. Propaganda falsa? Nah.

    E eu nem citei o casal Ellie Dina, que parece que existe só pra Ellie ser lésbica. Elas já começam o jogo se gostando e isso faz com que o relacionamento delas seja totalmente whatever, zero química e zero construção de personagem.
    ---"Ah, então você não quer lésbicas em jogos né? homofóbico incel".
    A DLC de The Last "Left Behind" tem a Ellie se revelando lésbica ao beijar a amiga dela, isso fez total sentido dentro da história e teve uma construção bem feita pra acontecer. Eu fiquei surpreso positivamente quando aconteceu e achei que o casal teve muita química, adoraria que desse pra elas continuarem juntas.
    Muita gente pensa o mesmo, veja a reação positiva do Pewdiepie ao beijo do Left Behind e veja como ele ficou totalmente indiferente à todas as cenas com a Dina em TLOU2. Tem a ver com roteiro mal escrito e relacionamentos colocados apenas com o propósito de agradar um grupo ao envés de agregar na história, não com preconceito.

    Eu daria um 8/10 pro roteiro de TLOU2 se fosse apenas uma fanfic, eu diria que é relativamente bem escrito, a ideia de "vingança" é algo que se distancia muito da história do primeiro jogo e se mostra algo muito raso como fator principal da premissa, mas funcionaria em uma fanfic, que quase sempre tem como ideia principal fornecer algo diferente pra quem está lendo sem manter um devido padrão de qualidade e congruência com a história original, afinal, é feito por fãs, e não escritores profissionais. O problema é que TLOU2 não é uma fanfic e tão pouco uma obra independente de outra, é a "Parte 2" de um jogo que definiu uma geração e é considerado umas das maiores obras primas nos videogames, então essas incongruências e problemas de roteiro em relação ao primeiro jogo não podem ser ignorados e a história não deve ser analisada como algo singular.

    Concluindo, mesmo com todos esses defeitos é bem possível que você goste do jogo se você se interessar pela Abby, mas, caso isso não aconteça, você vai jogar metade do jogo sem vontade pra ser recompensado com um final horrível e broxante (O final ser ruim/medíocre é um dos poucos consensos entre quem gostou e quem não gostou do jogo). Repetindo, é um personagem que nem apareceu nos TRAILERS.

    L’histoire est nauséabonde, incohérente, ennuyeuse et crache sur l’héritage du premier.
    Les nouveaux personnages sont insipides et on ne reconnait pas les anciens.
    Le pire c’est qu’il faut jouer la moitié du jeu avec Abby, personnage antipathique dont on n’a rien à foutre. Et pour terminer la fin improbable avec sa morale merdique au relent de religion : « la vengeance ce n’est pas bien et ça ne résout rien ».
    C’est le plus grand foutage de gueule du jeux vidéo !

    Ha nivel técnico el juego se ve bastante bien, la IA me ha parecido muy floja ya que tiene los mismo fallos que el primero y no mesa han solucionado.

    I disappoint the wobbly ones, very easy to kill, I prefer the chubby that scares me the most.
    And the last thing I did not like, was that they did not include the trophies for difficulty because when I started playing the game, I immediately played it in a difficult way to obtain that trophy and the others with less difficulty and in the end I was surprised with Know that in the second installment they did not include those types of trophies.

I'm rating this game low because the plot of this game and character development is garbage. While the graphics are beautiful and they did improve some of the game play mechanics, I didn't like Last of Us as a series for the gameplay. It was all about the characters and their adventure. They totally ruined that by killing off characters you care about. They make you dislike characters, then play as them. They kill off characters left and right where you literally like no one and don't have fun playing. The worst part is the ending. Wow. Such garbage. There is no payoff. I didn’t have a problem with the lesbian relationship, but the transgender character is a joke I think that your “gender identity” is the last thing you should be thinking about during a zombie apocalypse there are bigger problems to deal with.     Agency is constantly taken away from you and the story dishes out some unbelievably frustrating sequences that are ridiculous. Bad enough as a frustrating cutscene but even worse as a sequence where you have to press the buttons, but those button presses are totally pointless as that outcome will still be the same regardless.

    There was a moment where I actually believed it was going to let me craft the outcome decide what the resolution should be, I was genuinely excited I stopped pressing Square thinking maybe that way I could give up and let the world serve me justice, even at the expense of not seeing all the game. But no no don’t be silly you have to play there 30 hours movie, they know best.
    It’s not for you to expect to make some choice that has a consequence, to choose your own path.

    Ellie is the real monster more so than any character across both games. It goes on for far too long with no extra benefit. It has no final message other than the world lets bad people off if they are precious to the writer as the player should have no choice its not like its a game after all.

    It could have been so so different it could have been put together where you could make choices and feel like you had an impactful personal journey.

    ND next time just make a movie and save be about £38 points and 28 hours of my life.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Don't waste your money with this game. If you want to maintain a positive perspective of this series as a whole, DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME!!!! The established relationships and concepts of the first game are completely undermined in this game. From Joel dying, to having the player play as the person who kills Joel for 11 HOURS STRAIGHT!!!     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
