So they showed us in trailer that joel says to ellie that you really think I let you do this on your own? And where was that in game? It was a big lie. I can't believe that they built a character and exaggerated her to ruin everything.     I don’t care about politics in games. Ignoring what people said about it, the gameplay is fun and graphics are one of the best in this generation. The main purpose of this game was to be a linear story driven title but fails at its storytelling with pointless characters and events occurring to give the story a purpose. There is no redemption from the plot.

    This is a spit game for all game fans. The worst part is Druckman can't be trusted with the game's plot. Everything was ruined and it hurt to play. I hope the purchased reviews won't save you. Throughout the game, I wanted to ask why I was doing this. Why make half the game play for this pumped woman.

Considering how great the original is and the time taken for the sequel, its comfortably the biggest disappointment in my history as a gamer. What happened to Joel was an absolute abomination and a disservice to the fans. I can't relate to the jackedup golf playing lunatic. Great mechanics and graphics are the only 2 redeeming qualities. Naughty dog really screwed the pooch with this, I simply won't buy anything they've had a hand in developing from now on.… Expand

I really enjoyed the part as only playing as Ellie and the way joel went out is absolutely pathetic .your telling me he went 30 years surviving the apocalypse to die like this by some shemale built like hulk and having him trust them no way would he be dumb enough to trust random ppl he met even though he knew ppl would come to kill him . Playing 10 hours as the shemale Abby is more of a waist of time then learning calculus 10 hours all predictable . Never less how the hell is tommy dumb enough to leave a map on the ground near 2 bodies of where they are staying straight bull . Para empezar fallaron en los trailer, mintiendo a sus fan, la historia se basa en la venganza pero al final se arrepiente despues de matar a todo el mundo, mostraron al personaje Abby como el todo poderoso eliminando a Joel que tiene mas experiencia, obligandole a volverse ingenuo y torpe, todo la historia forzado. La historia también da entender que los hombres no sirven y la escena del sexo de Abby esta demás,Espero que los demás juegos no intenten copiar este estilo por hacerle caer bien a algunos solo se pide un juego normal la política y los juegos no deben caer en lo mismo, el director debería renunciar, es una gran pena. No logre terminarlo me quede en la parte de controlar a Abby y realmente me mate varias veces con ese personaje y lo deje ahí no quise terminarlo, Pésimo pésimo… Expand

    WOW, everything still looks the same. This game just comes down to character development , story and emotions. I just did not see it in this game, how i saw it on part one. If you want to take out a legend/lovable character in the game you do it by story telling. Its like pretending it to be a Metal Gear Game and solid snake is dead early in the game..     The game fell so short, it shouldn't have been considered and/or released. Visuals - Amazing. It's a beautiful game. The landscapes, scenery, characters, infected, etc. look great. the artists did not disappoint. Story - It was terrible. Joel gets killed at the beginning by Abby.     Story - It was terrible. Joel gets killed at the beginning by Abby. I'm not upset about that as that helped me connect with Ellie again and want revenge!! But as I was well on my way in doing so, the creators felt I might want to know Abby's side of the story. I have to say, I couldn't have cared less about that at all. I wanted to kill her because of what she did. By the time I was returned to playing Ellie, I wanted to break the game. I was disconnected from her. It didn't feel like the game I started playing when I first loaded it. Feelings aside, Abby's story was interesting but it should have been made into an optional DLC rather than an interruption in the game. The LGBTQ pandering didn't help the cause either as it made no logical sense to inject the story with it other than to cater to the "woke" leftist mob (had to get the political stuff off my chest).

    Overall, the creators did a terrible job with the story. The break from Ellie and Joel to the forced story of Abby was the wrong choice. I can't think of a worse thing to do than to interrupt the story of the characters everyone bought the game for to play a character no one knows and who I personally didn't like (in the main story). She should have been a DLC storyline.    … Expand

The game becomes a chore due to this. I did not enjoy playing this game. I finished the game for the sake of finishing it. I would never replay this game as I did with the first game. The story is awful. The art of story telling is so important to me as a gamer. The bond between the characters and the consumer/user is broken and flushed down the toilet. I doubt I will purchase another game made by naughty dog ever again.… Expand

Whilst it has a message about identity politics, it has no story, or at least one the makes sense. It just meanders without any over-riding sense of purpose. The structure isn’t clever; in fact, it works against the faux narrative. It’s attempt to make you care about the character of Abbey is so obvious and poorly-executed that you’ll be yelling at the screen. In fact, I’ve spent too much time on this game already. The most interesting and well rounded character... I really didn’t want to play the game after Joel’s death. It sucked me out of the game quick. Then just the repetitive gameplay afterwards and the tiresome story between Ellie and Dina that I did not care one bit about. And the biggest negative was Abby! Why would anyone want to play 10+ hours as her. I rushed through that part because I did not care for her at all. I hated her and hated playing as her. I felt no sympathy whatsoever. And not being able to kill her at the end made this game even worse. The only positives were that the graphics were phenomenal and the stealth gameplay was fun for awhile but that doesn’t make up for a terrible story in a story based game.… Expand

But due to the games longer length the gameplay wears out it's welcome. The story took Risks which in the end didn't pay off for the damage it has done. But there is no way you can call art this superficial kind of story. Killing Joel just to create a plot is so „artistic“ and „inspiring“ as lunching Crash Bandicoot. Maybe a couple of hours having fun but it certainly didn’t worth killing the greatest franchise ever un gaming history. I wish they have never release Part II. RIP: The Last Of Us… Expand

    entiendo lo que naughtidog queria hacer, lo de la espiral de odio, violencia engendra violencia, etc... pero la forma de explicarlo, yo personalmente, creo que no es la correcta, el nivel de narrativa esta por debajo de la primera entrega, demasiadas lagunas y deuxmachina por combeniencia del guion. pese a eso la jugabilidad es buena e intuitiva. es muy dificil que este juego te cause unaentiendo lo que naughtidog queria hacer, lo de la espiral de odio, violencia engendra violencia, etc... pero la forma de explicarlo, yo personalmente, creo que no es la correcta, el nivel de narrativa esta por debajo de la primera entrega, demasiadas lagunas y deuxmachina por combeniencia del guion. pese a eso la jugabilidad es buena e intuitiva. es muy dificil que este juego te cause una sensacion neutra, lo mas seguro es que acaves en uno de los extremos, o lo odias o te encanta... yo personalmente tengo que decir que no me gusta, pero es unicamente debido a la direccion tomada por el argumento.… Expand

    This game should not have existed, its story is not necessary and you'll hate it, and the gameplay does not evolve or bring anything new to the table. The graphics and sound are incredible, but after 7 years can we ask for less? If you enjoyed the first game for its characters, story, pacing and world building, then skip this one and any other that comes after it.

    Seu predecessor foi algo tão grande... a ultima cena onde o Joel conta a mentira pra Ellie, tudo fica em segundo plano, inclusive a própria Ellie    Pegue os melhores gráficos somados a uma jogabilidade muito boa, somados as melhores expressões faciais já vistas em um jogo, somados ao melhor áudio design e melhor ambientação... Pegue tudo isso e queime.

    No primeiro jogo temos uma jornada de 2 personagens até o final, no segundo são inúmeros personagens entrando e saindo de cena, uma bagunça.
    Mataram o protagonista hétero branco malvado pra substituir pela mulher ultra empoderada bad ass tipo Thor e seu fiel escudeiro Atreus trans.
    E no final num tem vingança nenhuma, pois eles precisavam manter a dupla do próximo jogo.

    I borrowed this game from my friend and I can see why this game was hated. It is the WORST games in 2020 and a terrible way to end the PS4 era.

    Pros: Graphics and Gameplay (...that's it) Cons: Terrible story Terrible writing. Very limited crafting Terrible characters So many agendas that it turns me off and as someone who is actually gay, I find this game offensive and    I borrowed this game from my friend and I can see why this game was hated. It is the WORST games in 2020 and a terrible way to end the PS4 era.

    Pros:
    Graphics and Gameplay (...that's it)

    Cons:
    Terrible story
    Terrible writing.
    Very limited crafting
    Terrible characters
    So many agendas that it turns me off and as someone who is actually gay, I find this game offensive and homophobic and spreads message the wrong way.
    It's not fun.

    Neil Druckman should be ashamed. It took everything from TLOU1 and scraps it down the trash. I don't want to play a game that is depressing 24/7, I want to play a game that is fun. This game is not one of them.    … Expand

    Yes, Im a Fanboy of TLOU, but I can't nor will I ever except this piece of Crap.

    But firstly let me go on to the ''GOOD'' Points of the Game:
    - Exceptional Graphics
    - Nice Combat System
    - Beautiful designed Landscapes and Areas
    - Nicely Exhibit Bossfights

    And now to the ''BAD'' Points:
    - Utterly **** Story
    - Trash Story telling
    - Bad Charakter Development
    - Unexplained death of Joel; well not unexplained but with no **** Connection to the Game
    - No new type of Zombies
    - ''Jumpscares'', which aren't even scary just annoying
    - And... And... And...

    Well to shorten this up. The Good points are only the Graphics and the Beautiful Game design.
    Everything else ist just Bad. You feel how this Game is a Product of Bad Storywriting and no Love for TLOU nor for the Fans. The Start feels very refreshing. You see known Faces and some Story input. Learn the Basics and so on. Even after you played Abby and switch back to Ellie, it is all Good.
    Then it happens, Joel died, I was heartbroken, didn't play for 3 Days. But then I thought, if you get so heartbroken about a character, they did something good. They aren't idiots which would kill the ''MAIN'' character just to have a sequel, but MAN I was wrong. The Story pretty much started crumbling. It was just hatred and dark. No fun just going through, till I see a nice Landscape and enjoy the view a bit. After couple of hours I slightly started enjoying the GAMEDESIGN. And I only played it like a Game form the Genre: Zombie etc. . Here and there I got hocked by the story but nothing much.

    Then it happened, we have to play ABBY for 10 skin Hours. WTF!!!
    I was fuming but, thought about it and said, who know, maybe you see something you can relate about and aren't that pissed about here that she killed Joel.
    But no, every hour that passed I hated it. After 2 Hours, I started not to Loot, not to stealth and not to kill anyone. I just rushed through every Game''level'' and wanted an end. This Part I had to play in 5 Days. It felt like I was working or something, no fun, no nothing. It felt dry, with no love. Like the Producer threw in a Part written by some Frats, which partied 3 Weeks with no Brain or interest for TLOU.

    The End and where Abby looses everything, has no Context. It is just there.
    Tommy evolved into an **** at the End... I don't even want to write about it anymore.

    Im Happy that the Game End, I want my money back. EVERY SINGLE CENT. I want back the 77 years I waited for TLOU 2. I want back my hopes and Ideas I had for this Game. I want back every thing. I want to forget this miserably Game. Please delete it. Or bring out a Part 3, where you show that Ellie wakes up from a Dream and TLOU 2, was the BAD BAD Dream. And then you give us the real Story what happened. Im not even pissed that Joel died. It is just how and why he died.

    Looks great, but game play mechanics aren't the best they could have been, sounds are great, clickers are still scary to hear and not see. Story is where it falls flat, both new and old characters are just terribly written, and i found myself not caring for any of them in the end. Really lost interest in this series, most likely wont get the next.

The new monster looks like the one a saw at Inside game, almost a copy. 7 years waiting for a game, only to learn how to destroy a story. Days gone is much superior than this ridiculous game based in sexual issues. This games sold out because the first version was amazing. In some point i was expecting the umbrella guys appears...

The only good things I can say are the graphics were great, and the guitar was fun to mess around on. The gameplay, graphics, assassinations, details, AI, are all magnificent. Even for my 1st gen Ps4, man the game looked gorgeous. Now for the cons... I really wanted to love this game.... It’s a love& hate type of relationship... look I don’t care about the LGBTQ+ characters or woman agenda because that’s not the issue here.. the issue here is THE STORY... and how they executed it... they could’ve set it up to be a trilogy.. but what did ND do? They shot my beloved character’s leg off with a shotgun and beat the living snot out of him with a club... only to play as her for 10+ hours when the story climax was at its peak and bam! I’m playing as Abby on day 1? Do I see myself playing this game again? Maybe... I choked up when I heard Joel’s agonizing pain.. Now that I know how the game ends... it’s utter Bs...… Expand

    the entire game was pointless. The Last of Us did not even need a sequel. They could have taken the series in a completely opposite direction and avoided all the divisiveness

    Although the game play was fun and engaging, the writing and story are sub par. A lot of emotional manipulation is attempted at the player, but it fails in the end, as characters motivations and decisions seem hollow.

First off this game is absolutely gorgeous and the gameplay is awesome but when it comes down to what the human spirit longs for that this game painfully lacks, is HOPE. I don’t recognize the characters I once loved from the original masterpiece. Being forced to try and kill one of the main characters that I dearly loved after seeing the other one murdered left me feeling depressed. At the end of this game you are left feeling dark and hopeless, stripped of any joy and love left. The human spirit needs hope especially in a time where the world feels dark and uncertain. I say this with respect to the naughty dog team and appreciate my opinion being heard. I hope we get a better game from this amazing team next time around!… Expand

    Very politically charged and preachy. Very awesome moments in the story, but the convoluted timelines and the agenda the game doesnt subtly throw your way gets very exhausting. The main characters did not hold a candle to the main Character from the 1st iteration.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
