Aug 29, 2019The Blackout Club manages to wedge itself into a crowded cooperative space with the use of clever tricks and an approachable atmosphere. But unless the developers build off this initial offering with new content to slice through repetition, it will soon get lost in the dark.

Sep 17, 2019The Blackout Club is ambitious, but it doesn't have enough variety to make me care for that ambition. Thankfully, there are ways that players can make the game better on their own, filling in what the game lacks, but the game needs to back it up a little more.

Playstation Official Magazine UKAug 27, 2019With up to four players, it’s a unique structure for multiplayer action. As it’s a stealth horror game communication is key, and it’s best played with people you know. [Issue#166, p.89]

Aug 2, 2019The Blackout Club is a a cooperative horror game that feels fresh and exciting, even if it's only for a few hours. The world building, easy to pick-up gameplay, and progression system are top-level for a game that only puts you back 20 bucks. If you've got some friends willing to take the journey with you, then buckle up and head to nightmarish suburbia.

Jul 29, 2019The Blackout Club is a strong addition to the co-op horror genre. Enemies and gameplay are really well handled, and playing with friends is a brilliant experience. If the story was a little more in-depth and better paced, this might be considered unmissable. As it is, The Blackout Club is a worthwhile game if not an essential one.

Jul 29, 2019The concept is great, but it’s not executed properly. The prologue is fantastic, but it’s not the representative of the whole game. The multiplayer is present, but it’s not great. Because of this potential and given the fact that it’s an only-online game, right now, I view it as a disappointment. I really hope that Question updates the game and improves it as time goes on.
