With a few small hiccups along the road that can probably be easily ironed out, and as long as you have patience in abundance, The Blackout Club is a good time. With never ending levels and missions to complete, and the interesting Stalker mode, the replay potential is sky high. If you have a small group of friends to play it with, it makes things that much better. Overall The Blackout Club offers a genuinely scary experience that is not only intense, but equally fun. Honestly, this is cooperative gameplay, with a dash of horror, at its absolute finest.

If you’re an avid of Dead by Daylight or Friday the 13th player looking for a new challenge, you might want to spend the $30 and take this game for a spin yourself.

If you love the thrill and tension of stealth-based gameplay and going up against ever-increasing threats the longer you stay engaged, I think you’re really going to like what The Blackout Club has to offer. It took me a bit of time to warm up to the game and when it all eventually clicked, I started thinking that this might be the sleeper hit of the year.

Although Question still have a couple of bugs to iron out, The Blackout Club ultimately makes for a fun and engaging, if slightly clunky, experience.

The Blackout Club is an impressive design experiment, but with a very low budget production.

The Blackout Club is one of those games that is sadly not very fun to play if you lack a group of close friends with whom you could play. More so, the player population is currently very low, and the high amount of bugs present, especially visual ones, might deter new player from spending money on a title that has almost amateur-level glitches. Lastly, if you would like the game to look a bit more decent, you're better off buying the PC version. While the graphics may not be all that better, and improvement is an improvement.

The only thing that makes The Blackout Club a half-success is that if you have some friends to team-up with, you will have so much fun.

The Blackout Club manages to wedge itself into a crowded cooperative space with the use of clever tricks and an approachable atmosphere. But unless the developers build off this initial offering with new content to slice through repetition, it will soon get lost in the dark.

The Blackout Club is ambitious, but it doesn't have enough variety to make me care for that ambition. Thankfully, there are ways that players can make the game better on their own, filling in what the game lacks, but the game needs to back it up a little more.

With up to four players, it’s a unique structure for multiplayer action. As it’s a stealth horror game communication is key, and it’s best played with people you know. [Issue#166, p.89]

The Blackout Club is a a cooperative horror game that feels fresh and exciting, even if it's only for a few hours. The world building, easy to pick-up gameplay, and progression system are top-level for a game that only puts you back 20 bucks. If you've got some friends willing to take the journey with you, then buckle up and head to nightmarish suburbia.

The Blackout Club is a strong addition to the co-op horror genre. Enemies and gameplay are really well handled, and playing with friends is a brilliant experience. If the story was a little more in-depth and better paced, this might be considered unmissable. As it is, The Blackout Club is a worthwhile game if not an essential one.

The concept is great, but it’s not executed properly. The prologue is fantastic, but it’s not the representative of the whole game. The multiplayer is present, but it’s not great. Because of this potential and given the fact that it’s an only-online game, right now, I view it as a disappointment. I really hope that Question updates the game and improves it as time goes on.

The Blackout Club is what happens when a concept isn't executed well. Everything about the setting and lore should lead the game to be a surefire hit. But, with the lack of a main story path, painfully repetitive levels, and a torturously grindy progression system, The Blackout Club feels unbalanced, unpolished, and immensely unrewarding. The only thing saving it from being a complete waste of time is that communicating and working as a team, planning out your strategy can be enjoyable, although only in short bursts.

The game is guarantee for having lots of fun, the only con is that the game got abandoned, now they're working on south park game.

The attemptThe core of this game is fun and has a lot of potential. Sadly this game just feels way too unfinished and needlessly repetitive. The attempt at a live service game with so little content actually on offer is terrible. The game would have been much better with a handful of custom designed maps to create a fun campaign style experience. In the end it's a very weak attempt at a Dead By Daylight style live service game Full Review »
