An improvement in nearly every way to the original. It is a fun, highly addictive, and immersive experience that will grip you with its unique design, tight gameplay, high replay value, and compelling cast of characters.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is the perfect version of The Binding of Isaac, with more content, more blood and more mom.

The Binding of Isaac pulls off everything it tries to do, and very well. The story is interesting, the gameplay fantastic, and the art and music are wonderful as well. The only things I found wrong with the game were that the bosses were repetitive and the challenge mode was lacking fun.

A horribly addictive roguelike that spawns endless invention while never forgetting to deliver disgusting thrills or unhinged humour. An essential indie experience. [Jan 2015, p.95]

It’s the Watership Down of videogames, and I can only mean that as twisted compliment.

Rebirth is the very antithesis of cautious design. [Issue#251, p.76]

As you delve further into Rebirth, you begin to realize that almost every facet of the game has been improved.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is an even greater version of a already amazing game. Rebirth addresses the frame-rate issues of the original and adds new items and bosses to shoot your tears at.

It is a spectacular, affecting journey, even if its destination is perhaps the creator's alone.
  10. If it’s not the best indie game of the year, it’s pretty bloody close to it.

A great re-release of one of the biggest surprises of the last few years. Yes, the music was better in the original and the graphics are not that different, but the huge amount of items and combinations make up for that. Rebirth is a lot smarter and extended than that Flash game that started it all.

It's hard to see why this game is unique if you don't play it. If you already know what it is, now it is bigger and better than ever; if you don't, this is the best moment to discover it.

As an enhanced and "beautified" remake, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth can also conquer those who have already spent tens (if not hundreds) of hours with the original version that came out three years ago.

Between the different characters, morbid and disturbing story, and intense, action-packed gameplay, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is definitely a game all PS4 and PS Vita owners should have.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a fast-paced and fun twin-stick shooter.

This is everything that was promised by the developers. If Binding of Isaac was the king of Action Rogue-likes (with countless "clones" made after it) this is the **** EMPEROR.

Despite the new pixelated graphics, the graphics are BETTER. The soundtrack is amazing, it makes you tingle with horror and excitement at the same time. The controls (although mouse was not implemented) are flawless everything responds exemplary. The content ... well the content is ... I have no words for it ... other than godlike in every aspect.

Crap-loads of new items (it will probably be weeks before you can memorize what they all do) with brilliant interactions and new mechanics, each game plays differently ... and when I say differently I mean it almost feels like it's another game entirely.

Support the developers and buy this game! This is too good ... you will be playing and enjoying it a lot more that whatever else 15$ or your local equivalent can buy. I guarantee it.

It's been a while since I played a game when it can be beaten in under an hour; it reminds me of the 3rd Generation days of gaming.

The change in art direction is a bit off-putting but the lighting, sound, and weapon varieties are all strong points of this game. Being that the original game is over 2 years old, it's very gratifying to see this as a PS+ game.

If I had a PS Vita, I would be playing the bulk of the game on it, considering it is the ideal platform to play this game on.

It's like an HUGE add-on with more of everything, I'm already addicted again and really thankful for this remake. And best of all: there is finally an Hard-Mode for all the Isaac speed run veterans out there!

I'm really looking forward if there are new endings, maybe we finally get to know what really happened to Isaac!
