The definition of overhyped, this game is ok up to a point, then it gets super boring. Often it's ridiculously frenetic and not always fair. It's too easy to get overwhelmed by enemies, so you die, then come back in a totally different room that does the same exact thing. I honestly don't get what everyone was raving about. To each his own, I guess. (Please don't say this isn't helpfulThe definition of overhyped, this game is ok up to a point, then it gets super boring. Visually different but not much new in the game mechanics but with a very weird and unsettling plot. A mentally ill mother who listens to a voice in her head that she thinks comes from "God". This voice tells her to kill her own son. He manages to escape the abuse by going to the basement. From then on the child becomes more and more disturbed and dark. Really strange. From then on the child becomes more and more disturbed and dark. Really strange. The gameplay is old school static screen puzzler with few new twists; clear room, use bombs, find keys. This quickly becomes boring and repetitive. It's not all bad as the power-ups were quite fun as were the different outfits that represented them. That said these outfits add to the unsettling nature of the plot. They chart the toddler's decent into various mental disorders. Expand

What an awful soundtrack, along with the sound effects these were the only steps backwards from the original. The soundtrack, by the uninspiringly named artist “Ridiculon”, is distractingly annoying and is at best generic.

By contrast, the game is incredibly fun with the addition of new items, enemies, bosses, rooms, and even a whole new floor. The original game has been greatly expanded within a new engine and, while I generally disapprove of pixel art, the graphics are adequate for the scope of the game. For me this was a day one purchase, this game is definitely capable of providing 500 hours of gameplay.

I tend to judge my indie titles differently. This game is a ton of fun, without a doubt. It's a bit dull story wise. Actually, very dull. But it makes up for it quickly. The real fun begins when you unlock characters. Once you learn how to play this game, you'll have a great time with it. The sound is pleasant, and fits in perfectly. The design of each room is very well, and at times challenging. But the highlight is the bosses. While the boss mechanics are easy to grasp, you'll find your self in a heap of trouble if you move left or right at the wrong second. Expand

The Binding of Isaac Rebirth is my go-to game when I want something familiar but new. Detach yourself from the subject matter and it's great dungeon-crawler with lots of replayability.

Answer: 75 characters is between 10 words and 19 words with spaces included in the character count. If spaces are not included in the character count, then 75 characters is between 12 words and 25 words.

The Binding of Isaac pulls off everything it tries to do, and very well. The story is interesting, the gameplay fantastic, and the art and music are wonderful as well. The only things I found wrong with the game were that the bosses were repetitive and the challenge mode was lacking fun.

A horribly addictive roguelike that spawns endless invention while never forgetting to deliver disgusting thrills or unhinged humour. An essential indie experience. [Jan 2015, p.95]

It’s the Watership Down of videogames, and I can only mean that as twisted compliment.
