I liked what I played of this game- except one major thing. When you lose all your health you go clear back to the beginning of a large level. Did this twice on me- last time when I was just about through the level. I threw my controller and deleted the game. The gameplay itself is pretty good- action/adventure- kind of like Uncharted. I just hated the dying mechanic. Wouldn't really recommend.

The best Star Wars game I've ever played, and one of the best titles I've played recently. I live to play games like this one. Kudos to the great team responsible for this, I'm already hoping for a sequel!

Summary: It a great Star Wars game with the music, atmosphere and story that captures the adventure 80s fantasy feeling of the original trilogy. The metroidvania linear adventure with action packed scenes and souls like combat is a great combination for this title. But the execution is just ok and technical aspects are a downside.

The game captures the magical feeling of 80s fantasy and the adventure. It is much closer to the original movies than any of the films from the sequel trilogy. The plot combines the adventure of the journey through the unknowns of the far far away galaxy and the tale about restoring the secret once great order of the Jedi. The story has everything that stereotypical 80s fantasy should have: an obvious villain, an obvious hero and his party and the mystical ancient goal. It has jungles, deserts and ancient tombs. And it has magical weapons – lighsabers. The music is inspired by the wonderful work of John Williams. It captures the adventure/fairytale feeling of the setting. As a fantasy fan I couldn't ask for more.

I love the mix of gameplay that this game presents. Exploration is linear metroidvania style experience with lots of abilities that unlocks a new paths and collectibles. The souls-like combat fits really well. The action packed sequences and platforming sections keeps you engaged if you are not here only to slice things for the lightsaber.

The problem is, that the execution of all this elements is just ok. The combat is difficult and satisfying but sometimes it gets frustrating. When I saw I'm too weak for the boss fight I wanted to go back and gather something that will help me and game just locks you with the enemy and leaves you no choice but to try until you rage quit or lower the difficulty. Platforming can be bugged and you will have to repeat each section a couple of times because you have fallen to your death during a slide.

The level design is a plus. The verticality of the levels combined with agility of the character gives more depth to combat and maps. What I consider a downside are the larger planets without any shortcuts or fast travel. This can be painful at the end of the game when you are trying to gather all the collectibles, and you just have to traverse the whole planet multiple times because the an unreachable cliff or a slide blocks your way back. And speaking of collectibles, they are worthless. Unless your are planning to earn a platinum trophy, don't bother with them.

As to the technical aspects: I have never seen a game on PS4 that is a year after the release and still has so many bugs, glitches and frame drops.

Fallen Order is a good game, but frequent glitches mar the experience.

The level design can be flawed. When (optionally) revisiting planets, it can be difficult to find your way back to specific areas. A number of paths are one-way only, which the in-game map doesn't tell you, and some areas have a distinct lack of shortcuts, making them feel labyrinthine.

Lara croft meets dark souls combat (if you crank the difficulty up) meets star wars theme. I enjoyed this game quite a bit but they were absolute taking the piss with how short it is. Even if you're an absolute completionist, you'll struggle to squeeze more than 20 hours of content out of it. At a £60 price tag, it needed to be be 50-100% longer.

First how it was made, like, maybe it's me, but I was expecting an open world, something at least in the range of AC (where you can explore and visit, interact with people, have side missions...), and I ended up having a basic platform game (jump, grab, open a door...). And then I was disappointed in how much it was lacking content, it was really NOT starwars-y at all! All the planets felt like a basic platform game set in the middle of nowhere where you sometimes bump into random creatures that could be straight out of Crash Bandicoot or SuperMario or any other old game... where is the SW lore, the characters, the atmosphere? Dathomir is basically set in hell, Kashyyk is a random jungle, Illum a random ice world... I don't see any Star Wars, except when the characters refer to something every now and then. It's a real shame. Expand

I was certain this would end up one of my top favorites and was even excited with the sequel being released in a month or so, but sadly... things didn't work out, and that's due to absolutely idiotic controls that are unable to handle the overly challenging terrain. Bosses-wise the game is not hard, it's very entertaining on the contrary, but it's overly arduous when it comes to wall running, double-jumping, rope climbing with the ambiguous controls the game offers. Mostly the problem is you don't have a clear control over jumping/double-jumping, whereas you have to overcome climbing challenges that consist of cascades of the aforementioned techniques, and, sadly, most of the time you masterfully perform some perfect set of moves just to go to waste with the final jump that you fail, not because you're a bad gamer, but because you're not fully confident how the Goddamned jump works here. Whoever were responsible for this part should be immediately fired as they completely ruined my experience with Jedi: Fallen order.

Before buying this game, do keep in mind, that for people who have acrophobia (fear of heights) this game will seem like the Sekiro of climbing games and a true nightmare. Sekiro I platinumed, but I refused to play by the idiotic control rules set by this game's developers.

Again - very good story and level design completely undermined by the horrid controls.

If you decided to go for a platinum, be prepared for pulling your hair out.

The game misses the Indicator Bar, so you don't know where to go, every games has it, but this game misses it, you need to go into the menu, and then check the point where you have to go, but in different levels, with the indicator map would be an enjoyable game, otherwise I didn't finish it.

It could have been a good idea that it could change your habilities or powers in doing so. About difficulty I soon changed it to history mode because if not it's quite difficult (even the history mode could be a bit tricky for beginers). I don't want to spoil anything but I didn't like the how ended (the last scene). Honestly, I think this game wouldn't deserve more than a 7 or 8. I hope some day someone makes a rpg of the Star Wars universe because that for sure it woul be great. It takes about 17 hours.

I give the game a golden medal for some of the best lightsaber duels ever put in games, Souls-like combat fits here perfectly, and creates a wonderful sense of progression from a weak, pushover padawan into a full-blown Jedi knight who is a force to be reckoned with. The atmosphere of Star Wars with it's sounds and visuals is unmatched. I love this universe. Great game!

This a average/good game, it has exploration but it focuses on it a little too much as you explore more than you fight and you are supposed to being chased by the empire. The combat feels really great but only if you play it on Jedi Knight or above, otherwise it is too easy. The Jedi abilities are too simple and you don't even use some because you can win everything only with combat skills and basic force power. But when you have all the skills and you use them, it makes you feel like you are an awesome Jedi.
The planets you visit are very simple and empty, there are structures for exploration like in tomb raider and enemies just enough to unlock skills.
The story is the weak in my opinion, there is only a one moment of excitement and is at the end and also that moment is a wasted opportunity to have an amazing combat. And the ending is extremely lame. There is not a single dramatic moment that can make you feel worried for the characters.
There is one part where x character says it will help you in your journey but does nothing and there are parts where you would expect the main character to say anything or have a reaction and is dead silence.
There are only like 2 or 3 "boss" battles and is a wasted opportunity because their names imply that there are many of them.
The characters that help you on your journey don't do a single thing apart from tellling you where you should go and take you there.
And the game presents many frame drops even during exploration parts where there is no fight, which is weird becasue during combat I didn't notices frame drop.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the game, specially the combat mechanics, it's a good/average game. It does well what it does but thats all, it doesn't take risks, it uses the Tomb raider formula with a simplified Sekiro's combat. So don't expect a Star Wars game with explotions, high emotions and overwelming excitemen. This was to me a try it once and move to another game, so my suggestion is to wait for a price drop before you buy it.
I really hope they can do much for the next installment (if there is ever one) because this game is well done and Respawn is an awesome game developer company

An advice I would give here would be to swap the jump and dodge button, as you would be using the latter much more frequently in combat. The checkpoints are also exceptionally poorly placed, causing a ton of repetitive and meaningless game play if you die. Though this gets much better in the late game, perhaps from the experience gained from combat. Once you get the hang of it, the combat becomes significantly more fun after ~2 hours of play. Btw, block and parry is useless, so learn how to time your dodge and punish. Expand

I usually agree with the general consensus when it comes to big, AAA franchise games, but I can't for the life of me understand why Jedi: Fallen Order has gotten so much praise. Yes, its a single player game and yes, there are no micro-transactions, but the PS4 version is riddled with bugs, glitches, and clunky performance issues that detract from the experience significantly.

Maps for each planet are confusing and poorly laid out - so much of this game consists of backtracking, trying to understand where exactly you're located on a bewildering holomap system, and running through repetitive areas over and over. The majority of your time spent with Fallen Order will involve climbing walls, swinging from ropes, and sliding down long stretches of terrain with little control.

Rendering is dodgy and I fell through the map several times. Combat can be satisfying but is very demanding and requires precision, which is tough to do when the game's always dropping its framerate or bugging out. The characters themselves are decent enough and the story is fine, but Jedi Fallen Order seems to take the best elements from superior titles and mixes them together in an under cooked final product.

I can't help but feel that much of the positivity around this game has come from the sheer surprise that EA didn't give us something totally exploitative or awful. This isn't a terrible game, but it's by no means great. I was really excited to play through this one but have come out feeling underwhelmed and a bit gutted. Hopefully Respawn will patch up many of the stability issues in the future - the game sorely needs it.

Story is good, the concept of linear open-world and returning to planets works well, graphics are very enjoyable, soundtrack is great (especially on Bogano). Fallen Order is like if you mixed SoulsBorne with UnchartRaider which is great!
The combat can be a little overwhelming at times like when you're facing a mid/strong enemy and you're attacked/shot by Troopers at the same time, it's a very "stick and move" type of game...

    2. The game is too easy on regular difficulty to have the same "risk/reward" feeling of a souls game. I never once lost my progress and there is a checkpoint around EVERY corner making the shortcuts useless.
    3. The wall running/swinging and sliding are fun at first but overused and felt tedious at times. There was no challenge there it felt like filler after a while.
    4. A couple of the puzzles are obnoxiously unclear what to do. I ended up looking them up and thinking to myself "I NEVER would have known that is what I was supposed to do!"

Overall its pretty good, but I feel like a lot of the game was just extra filler and it could have been so much more.

The combat is an absolute joke. Taking on more than one enemy at a time is a complete nightmare! By the time I was done with the third planet, I had enough of this turd. The boss fights on any difficulty above normal are so insanely unbalanced. Sometimes the dodge doesn't work at all and your stupid robot friend doesn't heal you when you press the corresponding button. The animation also takes far too long when you're desperately trying to survive. On top of all of this, the game just has you randomly doing chores on each planet with far too much backtracking.

Do not play this. If you do, be sure you don't pay more than 20 bucks. You'll thank me. The professional reviews were bought.

The Force adds a lot of creative things you can do as you unlock things like Pull, Push, and the double jump. The progression is actually meaningful, and helps you go through the main story, and not only that, it also lets you go back to areas you might not have been able to get to or access, and find new things or maybe a boss you haven't fought yet.
Saber combat itself is also really good. It has more of an emphasis on blocking than dodging, and while that caught me off guard from usual soulslike games, i got used to it.

The story is basic, but it works. You get to know the characters, their motivations, and their place in the universe, and you get to see a really cool thing at the end, as well as witness your own character's growth and survival. The planets you visit are really interesting, especially Dathomir(The hardest planet), though I recommend you only go there when you're ready considering everything there is designed to end you quicker than you can scream.

Some of the puzzles in the world require some quick thinking and big thinking, while not all of them, its still a nice touch, and the puzzles generally hold worthwhile rewards.

The game does suffer from some issues though. The movement is clanky sometimes, and sometimes the enemies or you have pretty janky hitboxes, but overall I didn't struggle, even when I encountered a weird or funny glitch.

I think it's worth a 9. Even if some of its aspects are basic, and it suffers from glitches here and there, it's still one of the smaller amount of triple A games that focus on a singleplayer story without adding all these microtransactions or forced payment for power.

I never thought i'd type this but....good job EA.

The story is solid and the only thing keeping me engaged, although not enough to make this an enjoyable experience. It starts off strong, then loses itself in the monotonous and frustrating game until pretty much racing at break neck speeds at the end. But since this is a game and not a movie, this doesn't come close to making up for the rest of this train wreck.
The game is generally boring with ridiculously easy obstacle courses, puzzles and upgrades that you're usually given without much ceremony or reason other than now it's time. Then you travel between the same 4 or 5 planets (i was so checked out for most of it, i just finished and don't even remember) retracing your steps to access small new areas with those new abilities. Most of the game just feels like they were to lazy to come up with anything to do, so this was their way of stretching out the time. If you're a completionist like me it works, because it made the game a lot longer than it actually is.
The worst part in all of this is the combat, it's awful. Just frustrating, clunky, kind of boring, and bad. So, so, so bad. The only thing that will stick with me is the annoying asf target lock, and the garbage game camera. There's no feeling of being a jedi, no cool abilities, it feels like they just did the most basic things. When you fight groups you can only focus on one, or not lock on and fight more against the camera than the enemies. But if you lock on you can only attack that enemy, and switching between enemies frequently doesn't work. The blocking of enemies and lack of attack options means that there is no flow of combat, you end up just randomly dodging and jumping around waiting for your openings. Fights against one opponent can be fun, but it's not enough. Especially the issues with the game camera ruin it. It is challenging, but more the challenge for the "git good" gamer culture. With the challenge stemming from awful game mechanics.
The load times are unacceptable, the traversal is slow and has no real flow to it. Tons of graphics glitches or models not loading properly. This is a complete failure of a game.
I love star wars, and this kind of scratched an itch. Like a drug addict that's nearing rock bottom and wondering what I'm doing with my life, and why i keep wasting my time with something i don't enjoy.

    CONS
    ---------

    - Gets buggy at moments and frame rates can drop
    - Long load times (but not the worse I've seen)
    - Some parts in the game don't explain where/what exactly you should be doing, so sometimes you can spend a good 5 minutes on something that should only take 5 seconds.
    - Annoying backtracking (worse on harder modes). This also ties into no manual saves at any point, you need a meditation ring to save.
    - Bad, bad, control feel when 'sliding' down obstacles.
    - Bad 'Holomap' layout, the 'Holomap' gets confusing to look at as all of the levels of the map mesh into each other creating a blurry look, although it is authentic looking to the Star Wars aesthetic, it is sometimes confusing to reach your objective.
    - Takes elements from 'Dark souls/Bloodborne/Nioh/Uncharted (I know, I hate to say it, but it's true!). Not to say this is bad! It's just not overly original and doesn't add anything new or innovative to a blockbuster release.

Overall, I thought it was a really good game. Definitely frustrating at moments, yet also rewarding when playing on harder modes. This game has a learning curve for players unfamiliar with the fight mechanics, but delivers a satisfying punch in the end with a little practice/experience with the game. It's also cool that the story is original within the Stars Wars universe, and not a rehash of an older movie/story. There are a lot of worse games out there for 60 bucks, if you're looking for a good Triple A release, I'd check this one out.

The experience would have been a lot more smoother and less frustrating.

The world traversal experience for me was a total nightmare. Sliding down the icy slopes was broken to the core. It slides too fast leaving you not enough control to maneuver Cal just in time for the turn and he'd fell off a whole lot of time. The combat is very inconsistent with some of the most random attack coming from the enemies. Some happen way too fast which leave you no time whatsoever to anticipate and counter back.

The deflecting mechanism is outright appalling. It's really bad. Sometimes it works and you get an idea of how to make it work but when you'll face a boss, it stops working like you thought you understood it. Just because you're a boss doesn't mean I don't get to deflect your attack. Even the blocking mechanism is horrible. Blocking an enemy drains your stamina far too quickly leaving you no time to hit back. The animations of the game feel rough and lack fluidity. At times, it feels extremely heavy to move Cal around in combat.

Besides that, it can be a fun game at times when everything is working like you think it should be working, like the game trained you. It's a very well written game that makes you genuinely care about its characters and plot. The characters are interesting and feel very real. The game would have been a masterpiece it they took the time to stabilise everything but hey, it's the first time Respawn Entertainment is handling such a project. Also, gotta give some credit to EA for not infesting the game with micro-transanctions. Fallen Order is okay.

SW:JFO has given me faith again in the franchise. The look and feel places one right there in the universe. The voice acting is not perfect, but is quite good. Also, I say with no shame, I am Team BD-1 (the droid that accompanies our main character)

I couldn't give the game a 10/10 because there are some puzzles where it is completely impossible to figure out if you're on the right

I couldn't give the game a 10/10 because there are some puzzles where it is completely impossible to figure out if you're on the right track and often it becomes a matter of luck and not logic that the puzzle is solved.

The controls are fairly comprehensive, but the parrying system is weak and lackluster. There is no sense of weight to the attacks. The best game in recent memory that has a sense of weight and satisfaction to an attack is Batman: Arkham Asylum. For those who've played B:AA, you know exactly what I'm talking about. The attacks in SW:JFO are just too light and feathery and do not match the excellent animation.

Fallen Order is all about the narrative. Discovery and character interaction is king in this game. So if you're looking for non-stop, breakneck action at every turn, this is not the game for you. But if you're looking for a standalone story in the Star Wars universe that tells a tale of a lone Jedi trying to keep the faith, this game and story is for you.

The developer of this game, Respawn, has officially put to rest any doubt from the likes of EA that single player games are dead. Respawn has loudly and proudly affirmed that single player is alive and well by thumping their chests and saying 'Let us show you how it's done!'

Star Wars is back on the menu, boys!

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is the best Star Wars video game ever made. Yes, I'm completely serious. Yes, I'm completely serious. Even taking into consideration the 40-years of Star Wars video games we've received, this one stands out as being the absolute best from a gameplay and story telling perspective. Perhaps most impressive is how in the age of Disney-owned Star Wars, Jedi Fallen Order manages to capture that unique magic spark that made most pre-Disney Star Wars fell like, well, Star Wars.

Jedi Fallen Order's gameplay can be best described as being what you'd get if Star Wars, Dark Souls, and Uncharted had a baby; it combines the technical and methodical melee combat of the Souls games with the deep exploration aspect of the uncharted games and wraps them in Star Wars wrapping paper. In this game you will acquire a large amount of jedi skills and techniques to take down an impressive array of foes ranging from your run of the mill stormtroopers to giant boss enemies that practically fill the entire screen. You must carefully time your attacks, parries, and blocks in order to take down all enemies in this game, and failure to do so will likely result in a quick death. When you die in Jedi Fallen Order you are respawned back to a Jedi Meditation circle you last saved at, much like the bonfires in the Souls games. You must then find the enemy that defeated you to regain your experience you were carrying since the last time you used it to level up your the main character, Cal's abilities, again much like using your souls to level up in the Souls games. While making comparison to souls, it should be said that Jedi Fallen Order is a much more forgiving game than any of the From Software Souls games, which might be a good or bad thing depending on your experience with that franchise. As for the Uncharted gameplay elements, you will climb cliff sides, slide down sheets of ice, and wall jump to get to where you need to go throughout the game's various planets and settings. As you gradually learn more abilities via experience and in-game events that tie into the story, you will be able to return to previously unreachable sections of the game in order to collect new items, lightsaber upgrades, force echos, and several other cool collectibles that should satisfy any completionist. The final result of marrying these two gameplay elements together makes for an incredibly fun and addictive experience where you'll constantly want to find out what's on the other end of a massive canyon, or make you think twice about facing off against a particular deadly looking alien in order to explore a certain area.

While the gameplay is very enjoyable, the story and characters is where this game absolutely shines the brightest. Jedi Fallen Order takes place 5-years after the events of Revenge of the Sith where we play as Cal, a former Jedi apprentice who is now hiding out on a scrap planet where remnants of the Clone Wars are literally being broken down in order to fuel the expanding galactic empire. When Cal is exposed as being a former Jedi, he is thrust into a situation where he must find and protect information essential to future of the Jedi Order as him and his companions are chased across the galaxy by the empire and some Inquisitors that seek to get to this information before Cal. Each character in Jedi Fallen Order is very well written and voice acted, making many parts throughout the game very emotional and impactful in their own way. There are so many references to other pieces of Star Wars lore including the films and TV Shows that you will be constantly bombarded by fan service throughout your time with the game.

Visually the game looks gorgeous. The game perfectly captures the look and feel of Star Wars down to a T, with various levels looking downright stunning. Character and enemies look excellent and authentic as well to the Star Wars universe. Main character facial expressions are motion captured to really capture the essence of each respective voice actor that each character is visually based off of as well.

The audio in this game is great as well, borrowing a lot of the soundtrack from the movies, as well as adding some of its own tracks as well. While some of these original or remixed tracks aren't the greatest, all the music does a very good job at complementing everything that is occurring in the game around you. Voice acting is wonderfully delivered and sound effects will sound right at home in a Star Wars property.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is an experience that all Star Wars fans need to play. It's story, characters, and levels make this feel like some long forgotten Star Wars film on the same level as the better films in the franchise. This game is perhaps the best, most genuine Star Wars experience since Revenge of the Sith was released in 2005, which is saying a lot for an original story within the Star Wars universe. Whether you're a diehard Star Wars fan or a casual gamer, this game will satisfy you.

let me start with the good. I loved the story and Cal was fantastic with his party. the interactions were fun and interesting and made me want to speak with them and see what happened to them probably the best part about the game. The combat was fun and intuitive making it feel like i earned my victories by being smart. The force abilities were also great and fun to use and very useful. I loved using force pull and push and taking out several enemies before the others make it to you. I liked the cosmetic things you could find around the worlds you explore and regaining the jedi abilities were really great and made me feel like i was regaining my abilities from before the purge.

that being said this game had a lot of flaws. The platforming felt very clunky and ropes and walls were one time grabs. I think the control design is very flawed. the controls were really overly tight every wall run to every jump fell way too tight and needed some loosening up. Also they should have just given us a heavy attack button that used stamina instead of linking it to the force meter. It made me rarely use it because the force powers were way better anyways. I also wish lightsaber switching was on a better button because taking your hand off the stick to switch was really invasive.
the combat also felt somewhat clunky and suffered from the stiff controls and the blocking precision was way too tight and Also parrying felt very difficult to maintain its easy to compare it to ghosts of tsushima where parrying an enemy never felt difficult and made it easy for an opening and felt welcome when doing it. my biggest problem with the game is no warp feature where you could warp to an area which made backtracking not fun and made me not want to do it at all and the map was way to complicated and difficult to really navigate with good precision and i wish there was an item that showed you where missing items and chests are because that would have helped very nicely. I also think in general having a looser movement and flow would reduce a lot of movement and combat issues i felt were in the game.

Although this game was very flawed, i had a lot of fun with it and enjoyed what it had to offer. Its a solid game compared to its predecessor and i enjoyed it and its story. They should take some lessons from ghosts of Tsushima control wise if they do a sequel. This game is a 7.5 its not perfect by any means but its still a solid experience which i enjoyed. my advice to the developers would be use ghosts of tsushima as an example on how to have a character control simple yet tactical.

Fighting feels very dark souls without the tight controls. Too much pointless platforming and puzzles and not enough lightsabre battles. It's not a bad game but I would wait till you can buy it in a sale.

If not for some slight scratches here and there this game can be a 10/10 contender. Some difficulty peaks, smaller glitches and (for my liking) too much backtracking made me consider giving Jedi Fallen Order a 09/10. Read on for more details.

Tech-wise the game delivers extremely well. The sound supports up to 7.1 surround sound and brings it perfectly onto the stage. No matter if stuff explodes, laser swords swing or enemies howl, the sound in this game is absolutely on point and fantastic. Its a clear 10/10.

Graphics are extremely well also, yet there are some texture pop-ins here and there, even with a PS4 Pro SSD. Also there are minor glitches with AA implementation and sometimes the map. Also I realized some sequences where the frames get chunky. Gladly most of the time the game delivers very well for its peak graphics.

Loading times are not optimized. Even with SSD some deaths can be painful, also there are lots of transitional elevators and such, probably the high level complexity and good graphics took their toll here. Riding between planets again takes time. I dont have a base PS4 but I might think that the status there is way worse and might give users some patience education.

The gameplay in Jedi is by war outstanding. Game progression is very good and even without level systems, loot or better weapons you feel growth in your powers. The skill system is capped by progress but feels nice. I have to say that the level design was very impressive and considerably even one of the best games ever. The variety is great and innovative, shortcuts are used to reduce backtracking and increase progress compared to games like Dark Souls/Bloodborne.

Even for not being a Star Wars fan I liked the story. I enjoyed the characters, even listened to the story. The final especially might be a candy for many people, no spoilers though ;)

Another disappointment the game provides are sometimes very bad save points especially before hard bosses. You have to cross areas and fight mobs over and over or try to pass by without getting damage. It is furiously outraging and very frustrating on higher levels. Also it is a waste of time with no benefit to the core loop. I wished they would ve chosen a different path here. Finally the game difficulty feels not very balanced. The beginning has a learning curve but feels hard on higher difficulties. Then you have a peaking mid where you have next to no problem with progress but the end strikes hard and brutal.

Over the course of my journey I felt this game had to be a 10/10 because I enjoyed it so much but being fair to some of the negative aspects it is somewhere between 8.5 and 9.5. I would definitely recommend this game. Might be picking up on one of the regular sales and you have a worthy grab for up to 15 to 25hrs of playtime depending on style, skill and game choice.

May the force be with you!

This wasn't a particularly exciting game. Lack of Star Wars feeling is overshadowing, boring maps/worlds, repetitive and strange enemies. Reminds of the Mad Max game at most. Worst of all, it's a technical nightmare - even almost a year after launch. The sliding mechanics are just poor executed and the game crashed a fair amount of times.

As someone with limited time to play games, the shame of Fallen Order stems from multiple frustrations. It’s hard to fight and, worse, it’s hard to move. The game’s timing issues distracted me from both the story and the beautifully constructed worlds; I was too focused on simply staying alive. My many (many, many, many) deaths discouraged me from exploring worlds — all of them beautiful — as did the simple fact that traveling by foot (even a Jedi’s Force-enhanced feet) takes forever.

Respawn has shown us, and EA, that single player games are well enough alive and kicking and has set a bright future for the Star Wars franchise of videogames if they keep this up.
