    Largely Uncharted set in the Star Wars universe, which to me is a great thing. Good story with excellent characters and voice acting, fun game mechanics, beautiful sets. Combat is a step above what Uncharted is, as it should be, for a game so dependent on lightsaber battling. The animations are phenomenal. The sound design was excellent, although that's just meeting expectations for a StarLargely Uncharted set in the Star Wars universe, which to me is a great thing. The music was also amazing, surpassing my expectations even for a Star Wars game. It has a memorable theme of its own and the atmospheric music throughout fits perfectly in Star Wars canon. This may just be the best Star Wars game to date. KOTOR may have been more impactful in its time, but I don't think it would hold up today.… Expand

    I can almost say EA nailed it this time.. I never thought the would come when I play a game from EA and not be feel disappointed, and cheated!

    Hope all their future games will be on the same level as this one.

    If you really liked Dark Souls , uncharted and dont care about Star Wars universe, i suggest you pick this when the price drops.
    EA mixed some elements from those games that i mentioned but did it lazily.
    Decent game at best. 6/10

    The combat is excellent, which is because it’s literally reskinned dark souls/sekiro combat. That being said they probably should have done something that makes more sense that the “bonfire” mechanic, in dark souls it makes sense to die a lot within the story... here it doesn’t, they should have just had save points.     Llevo alrededor de 5hrs jugadas jugando en la maxima dificultad es una mezcla de varios juegos, en cuanto a gameplay es lo mejor del juego ya que los controles funcionan excelente mecanicas y tecnicas excelentes acompañado de unos gráficos de 10, la dificultad esta bastante bien si no realizas un parry o esquivas algo fácilmente puedes perder la mitad de la vida o muerte instantánea, hastaLlevo alrededor de 5hrs jugadas jugando en la maxima dificultad es una mezcla de varios juegos, en cuanto a gameplay es lo mejor del juego ya que los controles funcionan excelente mecanicas y tecnicas excelentes acompañado de unos gráficos de 10, la dificultad esta bastante bien si no realizas un parry o esquivas algo fácilmente puedes perder la mitad de la vida o muerte instantánea, hasta el momento lo único que le encuentro que le falta es mas contenido rpg, en conclusión se muere bastante y el gameplay es de 9/10, optimización excelente para mi ya que juego en ultra en un pc de hace 4 años, si comprar el plus de Origin se llevan por 15 dolarucos pedazo de juego y muchos mas xD!… Expand

    Recomendable al 100% para todo fan de la franquicia y para todo videojugador que haya disfrutado de Tomb Raider, Uncharted, los juegos tipos Metroidvania, se cita a los juegos tipo souls en entre sus principales inspiraciones, y a un que esto no es del todo mentira, no siento que sean un problema para los que no tenemos experiencia en los juegos de From Software.

    Es ist ein super Star Wars Spiel! Es ist nicht perfekt, aber es ist wieder mal echt schön ein Star Wars zu spielen was erstens fertig ist und zweitens eine gelungene Geschichte erzählt. So kann EA gerne weitermachen!

    Si eres un fan de Star Wars te gustará ahun siendo una historia muy muy paralela con un par de pinceladas vistas en las pelis. Pero como juego es algo repetitivo, con un backtraking.... realmente horrible. Enemigos muy repetitivos y una historia que no deja de ser sencilla y unos personages que no dan muchas ganas de conocer y explorar sobre ellos.     Definitely the best Star Wars Game I’ve ever played.

    It combines the best elements of games like Uncharted (Tomb Raider), Dark Souls (Sekiro) and Metroid Prime. If you like these type of games and if you’re a fan of Star Wars I’m pretty sure you’ll endore this game!

Unfortunately, where I feel this game falls flat lies in it's combat and polish. Its gameplay takes from the likes of uncharted and dqrksouls, with bits of rpg sprinkled in.     - poor level design. you will genuinely struggle to know where you are meant to be going - this becomes a particular problem once you're about half way through the game and you return to earlier areas but with new objectives - the planets are surprisingly large areas, but are very convoluted and it is not always clear how to approach your next objective.

    - the save mechanics can be frustrating as they will at times result in you re-spawning far away from where you died, with all enemies returning. there is no automatic save, you have to use meditation points in order to save progress

    - terrible FPS drops to the point where you lose boss battles because you literally cannot see what is happening when game temporarily drops to 10fps for 2 seconds.

    - art work makes characters look like mass effect andromeda...

    - only a limited amount of force abilities meaning there is no lightning, Jedi mind trick, or force choke in the game. Yes you play as a Jedi on the light side, but its still lazy not to add these let's be honest.

    overall this cant be higher than a 7 on PS4 given the terrible FPS drops and some frustrating aspects to the gameplay... at present it is unplayable in some sections due to FPS drops, and the only way to progress is either being lucky or changing the difficulty to story mode.    … Expand

    Fighting 3/4- Good fighting system with a lot of potentials. Nevertheless, it takes a long time before you would feel that you are actually playing for a Jedi and not some dude with a lightsaber( but I think it is only a problem when you play on high difficulty levels)

    Story- 2/3 If we talk about the story I will say that there is nothing special( I think if the same level of storytelling will be in the sequel I will give 1/3, but for the first try it plays it role)

    Graphics 2/2- same nothing special, but some times we see great backgrounds.

    Music 0/1 - For me as a Star Wars fan music plays an imported role in the games especially in a Star Wars game. At the end of the game, o couldn't remember any good soundtrack, and in addition, you barely hear any during the game.     Lo más importante a decir de este juego es que es MUY DIVERTIDO jugar, que al final es de lo que se tratan los videojuegos.

    Es verdad que no es lo más puntero en gráficos, aunque los paisajes que verás mientras te desplazas por él son espectaculares. Pero no es sólo que sean bonitos, es que los mapas están muy bien pensados, y resulta muy interesante ver cómo están interconectados y    Lo más importante a decir de este juego es que es MUY DIVERTIDO jugar, que al final es de lo que se tratan los videojuegos.

    Es verdad que no es lo más puntero en gráficos, aunque los paisajes que verás mientras te desplazas por él son espectaculares. Pero no es sólo que sean bonitos, es que los mapas están muy bien pensados, y resulta muy interesante ver cómo están interconectados y balanceados para que siempre tengas algo nuevo que descubrir si quieres hacerlo.

    Por otra parte, el combate es muy gratificante y está bien equilibrado. Es un gustazo partir bichos con el sable láser o hacer uso de las distintas habilidades.

    La historia está bien, sin ser excelente, ya que es bastante delicado hacer una que entre en el canon de Star Wars. Es complicado porque no puedes representar nada que signifique "cambios para la galaxia" ni que afecte a las películas u otros productos del ya mencionado canon.

    Y la música.. Oh la música! La banda sonora es espectacular. Algunas de las piezas que no existían (porque también encontraremos alguna que nos suene :p ) son más "música Star Wars" que otras de las últimas películas.

    Está claro que el juego toma mecánicas de otros: metroidvania (en cuanto a los mapas y la necesidad de ir desbloqueando habilidades para acceder a nuevas zonas), souls-like (sistema de hogueras, pérdida de experiencia y combate), e incluso juegos tipo uncharted (la manera de moverte por los mapas escalando, etc); pero no lo tomemos como algo malo, sino al revés: son buenas mecánicas, que generan buenas dinámicas y que al final están muy bien unidas y mezcladas con el universo de Star Wars.

    Si no tiene un 10 es por: 1 - su duración, que se puede quedar algo corta si sigues la historia sin desviarte nada, unas 10-12 horas (aunque el juego llama a explorar y lo normal es que se te alargue a unas 20-25 horas). 2 - El rendimiento (hablo de PS4 normal): algunas bajadas de frames en ciertos puntos incluso llegando a congelarse la pantalla durante 3 segundos o más en algunas situaciones.

    Para terminar, valoremos también la iniciativa. Por fin EA nos da un juego con una campaña para un jugador y sin micro-transacciones o políticas abusivas. Un juego a la antigua usanza, en el que el contenido se desbloquea JUGANDO. Apoyemos está corriente que es a la que debería moverse la industria, y no la contraria.

    En definitiva, si te gustan los juegos de acción/aventura y eres fan de Star Wars, DEBES JUGAR a Jedi Fallen Order. Que la fuerza te acompañe!    … Expand

Maybe there is one connection to uncharted. Uncharted 1 - You do multiplatforming, then some enemies, then some puzzle -> repeat. But they forgot the atmosphere, better character and better story.

    I play this on PS4 pro and even if i have performance mode, I get lags, freezes, loadings.

    My recommendation is to not to buy this game, and if someone gives you the opportunity to borrow this game, say no thanks.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is my favorite video game of 2019, my favorite Star Wars game, and my 2nd favorite video game of all time. The visual effects were exceptional and beautiful and they are the best I have seen in a video game that I have played. I love all of the cool, cute, creepy, and awesome looking creatures and alien species. The writing and story were phenomenal but I did think the story was a little to short. The gameplay is so much fun and is the some of the best gameplay out of all the games I have played. I love all of the customization options that you get and how you get to change your Lightsaber, outfit, BD-1, and the Mantis. I loved how you get to find seeds and plant them on the Mantis. The acting was outstanding especically from Cameron Monaghan, Debra Wilson, Daniel Roebuck, Tina Ivlev, Elizabeth Grullon, and Liam McIntyre. The music was excellent. This is a for sure A+ video game.… Expand

Cualquier mínimo roce con el Joystick hará que tu personaje salga del juego, valla a la luna y vuelva. UNA PASADA y no se soluciona reduciendo la sensibilidad. Otro punto que no es del todo negativo, pero tampoco positivo, es la duración. Considero que podría ser más largo (sin alargar artificialmente), si no más historia y seguiría estando bien, pero bueno en definitiva, es un juego recomendado si no tienes otro juego en prioridad.… Expand

    First human character you will meet is a strong black female, Stop pushing your woke agenda in video games. Not only was she the most hideous designed thing i ever have seen in a video game. It made me delete the game without hesitation. Thank god we got it with ps plus and i can skip part 2 as well. Go woke go broke

    My brother loaned me a physical copy of this because he knew there was no way I would get it on my own. It is very challenging and the story is probably better than the recent movies with better acting shout out to Forrest Whitaker. The beginning is a little strange getting used to and I recommend switching to auto climb because the climbing can be weird.     Wow just wow. The over paid suits at EA with no clue, better wake up and see that this is how you make a video game. This game is 100% better than the trash Star Wars movies that Disney pushed upon us and brings us back to what Star Wars should be. Congrats to Respawn for making this.

    The light saber style is awesome! I loved every moment deflecting blaster shots back at the Storm Troopers. The game is not exactly what I thought (definitely more difficult) but as I play (about 6 hours in) I can feel the sense of power growing. I do feel like this game could've used 6 more months in the oven due to some weird glitches, and tightening up on the platforming controls.

    It's a very good game with some serious issues. Respwan times are ridiculous (a minute) for a game that is suppoosed to be punishing and where you will die a lot. There is no fast travel and later missions becomes really tedious. It has some glitches and performance is not great but that did not bother me much. If they fixed the first two issues I mentioned it would easily be a 9/10.

    Pleasantly surprised by this game, which is certainly doing a better job telling a Star Wars story than the horrible films are doing! Gameplay is reminiscent of uncharted which isn't, in my opinion a bad thing at all . My only gripe is the veery long load times, the save points (or lack thereof) and the Respawn mechanic, which is just frustrating and annoying. Otherwise very good so far.

I have replayed the story mode at least 3 times now, and each time it still feels incredible. The combat system feels a bit clunky, but it also feels very real.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I knew it was too good to be true when i heard EA was giving us a full story based offline Starwars jedi game. This game starts great with exciting cutscenes and some thrilling platforming, problem is it all goes downhill from there. It really looks like the devs were not able to finish the game. Things like texture/lighting issues, no real character customization (different colour ponchos/Outfits), the seed collecting makes no sense and after my 5th ingame lootbox it is not exciting anymore either. The story feels rushed too, a good example are the bosses, the only boss with a bit of a back story that gets explored in the game is Trilla Sunduri, the others like the 9th sister and Taron Malicos get minimal introduction. The writers even try to make Taron somewhat mysterious but after 2 cutscenes we already get to kill him, we never get to explore him as a character, this would be fine if we had more of these bosses to fight in the game. by the time i get all my powers the game is finished, sure i can explore the nooks and crannies of all the planets to max out my skill tree, but for what? I cant fight a boss anymore, there are no DLC planned where i can use my power and i cannot duel against my friends. I already played it on the highest difficulty so there is no point in playing the game again.

    It simply feels like EA wanted to shut us up by giving us what "we want", but with minimal effort/investment so they can say, "See guys, sales are not great so we were right in saying games dotn want story based offline games".

    The things i do like are the combat system, the slow but steady skill tree progress, the feeling of movement and the sounds and music are amazing.

    i was expecting to be let loose in the starwars universe, with shops, ships and cantinas but it feels more like a extended Demo than a triple A game.    … Expand

    I don't mind that this game borrowed a lot of great aspects from other games. The jumping, sliding, climbing, and swinging remind me of Uncharted. The combat is most similar to Sekiro. The map design is exactly like Doom (2016). The puzzles are like the puzzles from Breath of the Wild. Unfortunately, the main character is the only character I actually care about.     Most important factor of this game is the combat and the save system, this game copies those of the dark souls franchise and it works out very well. Most satisfying is the parry, it gets you on your toes and if you miss it you don't lose a lot like in dark souls. And it has interesting characters best example is BD-1.     I never watched any of the star wars movies but I gotta admit, the story was engaging and easy to understand. The lightsaber is such a cool weapon and the gameplay overall is top notch. The only thing holding this game back from a 10, is that it is easy to get lost in these planet. You've got to memorize the maps inch-by-inch.

    Big deception for me.. its more "puzzle" than fight game. Maps are like labyrinth and you have no teleporter. Charge time is damn long and .. I wouln't buy this game if I could know

    It could have been a really nice game but terrible controls during agility parts (jumps etc) were just killing it. I have not played a game of this type that would be so terrible with executing acrobatics. It is well overrated, some levels are nice but half of them is totally repetitive. Game lacks soul and really coolleveles like in uncharted series

    A Star Wars game, which we haven't had before. Actually, it is "The Star Wars Game". Nice story, brilliant level design, game mechanics which never appeared in Star Wars games before, but damn it, it is so good! I hope there will be a sequel.

EA has brought down all our expectations of Star Wars games so low that this game is getting praise that I don’t believe it earns. Regardless of my disappointment with the ending of this game (Cere should have jumped in the way of Vader, letting Cal AND Trilla escape. The after credits scene should be Cere becoming an lnquisitor) the rave reviews are a result of our low expectations in Star Wars games. In reality, this game relies far too much on already established places such as Illum and Darthomir. For me, the stories lack of creativity puts a ceiling on the quality of the campaign. I would have preferred to see the story take place 5 weeks after order 66, not 5 years. That would have given an entirely new feel to the game and made it far more unique. It’s gonna take much more than this one game for my opinion of these new Star Wars games to change. Maybe if they remaster KOTOR I’ll forgive them. Fallen Order is still worth a play. The game bolsters beautiful graphics a great combat system and good voice acting. but buy it used.… Expand

    I would've never expected a Star Wars game to be a mix between dark souls and a metroidvania but here it is. Jedi Fallen Order is really well executed thanks to Respawn who took the time to make it right. This game is fun to play, rewards exploration and has a quite good story.
    And they did this despite EA ... well done.

    I'm torn between 9 and 10. Most fun Star Wars game yet! Only problem I have is that my original PS4 will drop an occasional frame, especially when transferring between gameplay and cutscene (which it mostly does smoothly)

    This game basically takes the exploration from Metroid Prime, the combat from Dark Souls, and some action mechanics from Uncharted and combines them into a cohesive, satisfying experience set in the Star Wars universe. It may not be for everyone, but it's right up my alley and I'm having a great time.

    I'm not a Star Wars fan but this is so great game ,first soulslike with level pick difficult.Im play on ps4 pro on 4k tv and graphic is very good mayby no God of war but way better then evry souls game (dark souls , nioh ,sekiro).The combat is amazing similar to souls game , good story telling with diffrent world to explore for me is one on the best game on 2k19.

Мне же, вспомнив то, что я писал в начале, сложны были лишь два последних босса, на которых я в сумме потратил столько же попыток, сколько на первого босса в дс3. Полоска "прочности блока" довольно помогает таким, как я, в ситуациях, когда не можешь подловить тайминги для удара, проще выбить врага из равновесия и сделать несколько ударов по беззащитному. Простое скопление мелких вражин оказывается в этой игре сложнее боссов, к примеру, 4-5 оживших шустрых сестер оказывают намного большее сопротивление, чем девятая сестра. Сюжет довольно простой, как мне показалось: голограмма тебе говорит, куда идти, и ты идешь.… Expand

    Sehr gutes Spiel. Gute Star Wars Atmosphäre, schöne Spielwelt die durch Abwechslung und Rätselpassagen glänzt, stimmiger Soundtrack, gutes Kampfsystem welches an Dark Souls erinnert aber nie dessen Niveau erreicht.
    Das Spiel ist technisch nicht perfekt. Es kommt ab und an zu Rucklern.

After completing 1/3 of the game, I just really like it, the thing is, although it’s quite linear, you can go back to planets and, after opening shortcuts, those planets become pretty open-world-ish, I.e. you can indeed tool around and slash enemies with your lightsaber and discover stuff. I know a lot of people complain about the platforming, and yes, there is a bit too much of that.

    Think of it as less an open world game (although it’s open enough at a certain point) and more of a puzzle game. Think of it as more Arkham asylum than Arkham city. It feels like playing sudoku with a lightsaber— not something you thought you wanted, but fun and rewarding.

    I thought they did a good job with the story. It’s G rated stuff, but your friendship with BD1 is objectively heartwarming. The story isn’t like Oscar-worthy, but it’s a compelling adventure.

    The combat is fun although, to be honest, the controls feel a little sluggish. The controls aren’t as crisp as Star Wars battlefront 2. And that’s certainly a negative, but I will say that I think they’re going for a more “rhythm” feel to combat than brute force. So, ultimately, your lightsaber feels weaker than in battlefront. But then again, you’re a weaker character than Luke or Obi wan. But there’s more nuance to fighting, and you get more nuanced force powers, too.

    It’s a really solid game. For comparison, if I had to give grades, I’d give Arkham knight like 8.7, Spider-Man a 9.3 and JFO, like 7.8. The puzzles are challenging but fun, there are enough “rewards” (e.g. new skills/cosmetic lightsaber saber and upgrades) to keep momentum going.

    I do worry about replay-ability because, as others have noted, theres no new game plus. Hopefully they’ll add something like that.    … Expand

    It’s a pretty good game. It can get boring or repetitive at times, but I still love it. The story is great, and the main menu theme is just so good. I could listen to it for hours. Overall 8/10 game.

    If you get over a slower start without powers, we can assure you, that it will only get better and better. An entertaining mix of Uncharted, Tomb Raider and Dark Souls set in the Star Wars universe. You don’t have to worry; the game is worth its full price. [Issue#300]

    As someone with limited time to play games, the shame of Fallen Order stems from multiple frustrations. It’s hard to fight and, worse, it’s hard to move. The game’s timing issues distracted me from both the story and the beautifully constructed worlds; I was too focused on simply staying alive. My many (many, many, many) deaths discouraged me from exploring worlds — all of them beautiful — as did the simple fact that traveling by foot (even a Jedi’s Force-enhanced feet) takes forever.

    Respawn has shown us, and EA, that single player games are well enough alive and kicking and has set a bright future for the Star Wars franchise of videogames if they keep this up.
