***AN HONEST REVIEW FROM AN EPIC STAR WARS FAN - 6.5 STARS OUT OF 10***

While the cut scenes, storyline, exploration and detail of the game exceed all expectations, I find myself very disappointed with the combat and gameplay. What made SWTOR the fastest-growing MMORPG in the world was its amazing gameplay. People of all ages could quickly pick-up the game and enjoy the wonder and magic that was Star Wars. I don’t find that the case with Fallen Order. In fact, I was taken aback when my 15-year-old son lost all interest in the game in just 2 or 3 days, after looking forward to this game for months! When I questioned him about it, he said, the game is all about parring, evading and jumping, as well as split-second counter attacks, and I couldn’t disagree.

While fighting small groups of 4-7 storm-troopers can be fun. I just found the whole premises of combat in this game - to be honest - just completely ridiculous. I don’t like the fact that I am forced to wait for an opponent to throw a punch at me before I can kill them (with a split-second counter attack or parry). As a result, there were moments where I was just literary standing still, face-to-face with about 2 or 3 storm-troopers (for about 5-10 seconds), just waiting for them to throw a punch at me; so I could kill them with a well-timed parry attack. Given most storm-troopers have an incredibly powerful blocking stamina, its completely illogical to try and kill them in any other way; given a well-timed parry can kill them with a single strike. Furthermore, until I actually mastered parrying (or acquired some more Force abilities, such as Force push and pull) I found myself asking, why doesn’t Cal have a blaster or a sniper rifle? His lightsabre is about as useful as a baseball bat in a Zombie apocalypse; no matter how many times you hit a storm-trooper, they just keep coming back for more. Furthermore, attacking also leaves Cal open to an attack… So, parrying is really your only option in Fallen Order.

I was also a bit annoyed by how effortlessly Cal could fall off a cliff in combat. It’s very easy for Cal to accidently stumble down a cliff, or accidently jump, parry and evade off a cliff, or worse when Cal is accidently clipped by an enemy or critter. Where, in the old Zelda games, whenever you accidently fell off, Link would latch on to the end and quickly pull himself up again. As a result, given how effortlessly Cal can die in this game, he doesn’t come across as a very heroic character to me. Where in SWTOR for example, as a Sith warrior or Jedi knight, you could quickly leap-frog over to an enemy with a powerful lightsabre attack, rip into them with a powerful Force combo, dash over to the next target with another combo, and repeat the process until everyone around you was dead. Fallen Order should be based on this fighting style, not the above…

Beyond the combat, the storyline of Fallen Order is exceptional. I don’t regret playing the game. However, I would have liked to play the game again, but given how frustrating I found the combat. I won’t be. I tried to play the game again on Jedi Master but found trying to parry a group of 8-10 plus storm-troopers just too hard, if not stressful. In situations like this, the game becomes nothing more than a mad scramble of evades and jumps, trying to find the tiniest window of opportunity to parry a storm-trooper, which is really impossible, given you might have 5 or 6 storm-troopers shooting at you, another 5 or 6 chasing you with electro-staffs, and yes, another 2 or 3 imperial security droids trying to kill you as well, and somehow in the middle of all this madness, you’re supposed to find the tiniest window of opportunity to parry someone when your jumping all over the place. And, every attempted parry, ends up with you getting hit by one of the other 10 plus storm-troopers you’re not trying to parry. So, once the game stopped being fun, I just switched it off.

Anyway, I hope this review has been helpful... I might check out the next Fallen Order if the combat controls are different. But, in the meantime, I’m going to get back into SWTOR. Cheers!

Fallen order kicks off with an interesting story line, immersive environments and a good protagonist.

Antagonist unfortunately lacked that feel of 'power' which for a Star Wars game should be a must. there was actually another NPC who seemed to fit the role better.
Enemies were good, slashing through an army of storm-troopers is always going to be great fun. Boss fights could of been better personally, they were challenging in places but they did not feel like boss fights apart from one which I will leave for the player to find out for themselves.

I find endings important to every single game that I play, if the ending is terrible then it makes the entire game feel like an epic fail. Fortunately this game did not disappoint, in-fact if you are a star wars fan then the entire game is worth playing just for the ending.

So a quick break down -

Protagonist - Decent, not the best not the worst.
Antagonist - Pretty boring after first introduction.
Story Start - Awesome start for the game.
Story Middle - Slightly Loses interest but not entirely
    Story End - Fantastic.
Environment - Beautiful and out of the box designs.
Mechanics - not too bad, May be a challenge for some players.
Enemies - Great enemies, some were pretty challenging.
Sounds - Come on its star wars...

One issue I encountered was a low frame-rate in places of the game, fortunately for me something like that does not bother me but I know it can be annoying for some of you other players so prepare yourself for that.

This is a good direction for the EA star wars gaming franchise. There's none of that BS micro-transaction and live/ online service in this game. The game is a single player experience, its a mix between uncharted, tomb raider, star wars force unleashed and crash bandicoot. The game does have its flaws however.
    Pros
    1. good combat 2. no microtransactions 3. lots of customization 4.

    Cons
    1. environmental design makes it almost impossible to know what to do next, in certain sections of the game.
    2. blocking/ parrying is inconsistent
    3. no fast travel, easy to get lost
    4. bad map design.
    5. it feels like theres fragments of the story missing
    6. Certain sections in the game drags on too much ( gets very repetitive)

Controls, story and combat sucks. I really regret buying this game. 79 metascore? 7.7 users? What's wrong with you folks? Who is reviewing it? On PS4 pro the game has a problem with running. Continuous frame drops. Even a year after the game was released. Disgusting.

This game is bad. I mean really, really, really bad.

This game wants to be Tomb Raider. I love TR, they are among my favourite games of all time. But if I wanted to play TR, I'd play TR. I wanted to play Star Wars, be a Jedi, have several light saber fights, but instead, there is only one of the worst level and game design I have ever seen in my 21 years of gaming, it's amazing
This game is bad. I mean really, really, really bad.

This game wants to be Tomb Raider. I love TR, they are among my favourite games of all time.

But if I wanted to play TR, I'd play TR.

I wanted to play Star Wars, be a Jedi, have several light saber fights, but instead, there is only one of the worst level and game design I have ever seen in my 21 years of gaming, it's amazing how bad GD and especially level design are in this game.

The level design makes no sense at all. This game wants to be Tomb Raider but in Tomb Raider, you don't end up in front of a puzzle to start it, realise you don't have all the force abilities required to finish it, go somewhere else and then get back to the puzzle. I did not play for 2 days, when I got back, it was just a nightmare just to remember what to do, because the game does not tell exactly what to do, I don't want a game to hold me by the hand but at least be clear about the reason why we are here in the first place.

Everything is VAGUE, it's a nightmare. And there are like 3 or 4 light saber fight, what is this ? This is a suppose to be a STAR WARS GAME, light saber fights should be ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO DO IN A STAR WARS GAME !!!!!!!!!! NOT WANDERING AROUND IN A TOMB WITHOUT ANY REAL OBJECTIVE !!!!!!!!!!!!

I won't even talk about the story, what story? There's no story. Oh yes, there is a ex-jedi knight that decided to withdraw from the force (WHAT ??????????????? ISN'T THE FORCE SUPPOSE TO BIND ALL LIVING THINGS AND...OH NEVER MIND !!!!! )

I tried and tried and tried and tried to play this game, but now after 4 tries of more than an hour each, I just can't stand this game more than 30 minutes because of HOW BAD IT IS,

it's DULL, it's VAGUE, it's EMPTY, it DOES NOT KNOW WHAT GAME IT SHOULD BE, it's A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY, it's ONE OF THE WORST GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED.

The worst thing is that, I did not encounter bugs or any other stuff that could explain my reaction, there are no bugs from what I've saw but the LEVEL DESIGN IS SO BAD, you feel you are turning in circles all the time, you feel that you don't move FORWARD.

The second time I played, I realised after an hour that I had forgotten what my objective was, IT NEVER HAPPENED IN ANY OTHER GAMES I'VE PLAYED IN 21 YEARS and not because there is not a written indication BUT BECAUSE OF THE LEVEL DESIGN AS YOU ARE GOING BACK AND FORTH AND BACK AND FORTH AND BACK AND FORTH YOU END UP NOT KNOWING ANYMORE WHY YOU WERE HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE AND WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO DO IT'S INSANE !!!!!!!

This game should be taught in gaming school for its superiorly bad level and game design, it's full of mistakes, they have invented the Deus Ex Machina Gameplay concept it's INSANE.

Other things that makes no sense at all :

    - Ennemies respawn if you medidate ON ANY DIFFICULTY LEVEL , WHAT IS THIS ? WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA ???????????? It's immersion breaking and it's infuriating, you rest to get your life back ONLY TO HAVE TO LOSE IT AGAIN OHH WHAT A BRILLANT IDEA !!!!!!

    - The holomap is unreadable , it's as VAGUE as the rest of the game

    - The way the character remembers his abilities is COMPLETLY RIDICULOUS, it gives that feeling of a Deus Ex Machina Gameplay that I talked about before, IT'S THE WORST IDEA EVER.

The rule is pretty simple in game design : DON'T PUT YOUR PLAYER IN FRONT OF A PROBLEM THEY CAN'T RESOLVE YET BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE THE ABILITY TO !!!!!
THIS GAME IS THE FIRST ONE TO NOT RESPECT THAT RULE AND LOOK WHAT IT ENDS UP BEING : A COMPLETE WASTE !!!!

Great game overall. Fun exploration, and fun combat. The developers took ideas from several other games, and managed to create a fun and accessible Star Wars experience. Animation, effects, sounds, vibration and, combos which you use make a really cool fighting system. A mix between soulslike and slasher looks pretty not bad.
Also, I really liked exploring. Moving around the world is made very cool as well. Vertical and open levels are beautiful and give a good impression on the player. The only problem game has here is a very poor variety of enemies.
The design of the world is really gorgeous, but sometimes I could suspect loading textures(PS pro). Level design is also very smart and makes you come back to the previous places and explore it. The game doesn't have any microtransactions, all of the customizations you can get only by exploring the world.

The only problems the game have are:
    1) Optimization ( sometimes frames drop on PS pro on performance mode. Sometimes long loading screens)
    2) The story sometimes is pretty obvious and silly
    3) The game has quite a lot of content but I found this game very short.
    4) Enemies are very similar (You just got used to moveset of each of them and every next time you meet enemy you won't have any problems with fighting)

In conclusion, I want to say that Respawn made a really good adventure game with a lot of cool mechanics, staging and quite good graphics. Hope EA will continue doing games such a this Respawn entertainment makes strong belives.

I am dying for a game like starwars battle front 2 (2005). A proper starwars rpg set in the fallen order time frame would be ideal, like say cyberpunk 2077 but starwars if you get what i mean, how cool would that be! This game try to look like sekiro, but combat is much less responsive than Sekiro. If you think parry was bad on sekiro, here it is much worse. It is not harder, it is just not that responsive. Hit boxes of enemies are absolute magic. Dodging and rolling are bad too. This game is not interesting neither on hard, nor on easy. Enemies are just stupid rats half of the time, which somehow are stronger the jedi and quicker than jedi. Parkour is the worst part of the game. 1) Puzzles in game are boring and not needed. They are worst than tomb raider. 2) Parkour is just bugged. You often see some place where you should do some jump... and this jump sometimes happen from 10th-20th times. And not because you can't do it, but just because it is stupid and buggy and your hero is not catching everytime when he should. Or maybe because noone tested them more than once. Story is boring. Graphic is not bad, but nothing impressive. PS4 loading time are enormous. Better play it on easy, cos every death is 2-3 mins of loading time, anyway nothing interesting is there except trying to parry bugged hits from mele. Zones are extremely boring and empty. They are looking the same way as Dragon Age Inquisition. If you liked Inquisition, than you will like this game too. Loot in this game... it just doesn't exist. Everything you find are skins for various stupid things in the game. The only noticable is color of the droid and color of the lightsabber. Absolutely no other items exist.

I can't understand what is happening with EA single games. Why they are doing them at all if they have no clue what to do. Both Bioware and Respawn are doing some mediocre single player games. Than EA are saying that games as a service are more profitable. Of course... no one want to play such junks. Ubisoft are doing boring game too, repetitive sometimes, but at least gameplay is fine in their games and somehow games are completed and not looking as stupid demo. I don't want to blame that EA is the reason for stupid single player games, but somehow this is happening again and again and again...

PS I would advice no one to buy this game at least if it is not on sales. How it have that high score, I don't know. I don't want to say that people don't have rights for their own opinion, but if someone is saying that customizing skin of your lightsaber is interesting and give to game 10 out of 10, better don't believe. Except if you think that changing skin of lightsaber is the most interesting gameplay in 2019. I have some feeling that all 10s reviews are payed, because most of them are just pure lie, neither bugs are fixed, nor nothing. Vote with your wallet or at least than come and write review after you buy this game, because of someone who advice it to you.

Well what can I say....a Huge Star Wars fan and finally a company with a reputation like Respawn has done it proud. The gameplay is fluid, the combat well executed, the scenery and surroundings befitting something in a Star Wars Universe. Yeah its similar to uncharted in the way it functions, but its STAR WARS. Reason for a 9 at this point in time, a couple of crashes within the first 3 hours.

One moment you’re enjoying the excellent combat and the next moment you’re trying to figure how a Stormtrooper with a rocket launcher got on your an impossible ledge that is relentlessly blasting you with endless rockets while you try and find out where the ledge is so you can climb and jump around. I found myself spending way too much time climbing than in combat. Sitting too long in a temple trying to figure out where the ball goes than in combat. After 20+ hours in game I'm changing 10 to 7. While the story is somewhat good for SW it's not brilliant. The game is unpolished AF and it has some very frustrating moments (mostly sliding ones). There's almost no awards for exploring and very little sense of progress besides getting x2-x3 HP and becoming tanky.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is tedious much too overrated and exhausting to play... I will tell you why: Firstly, the storytelling and cutscenes etc. is really nice, it reminds me of typical star wars games the atmosphere is ok etc... BUT: at least with mouse and keyboard its about unplayable.. first there are only decent savepoints, and you have only small amounts of stim packs (healing), every time you fail you have to restart from 15 minutes ago, secondly, the movings and animations are annoying, sometimes, your jedi character moves as lazy as a 20ton truck, I don't know why, but some movements when pressing evade or parrying are just not recognised or coming too late. Its just so frustrating. Then, there is unnecessarey respawn of enemies each time you take a rest. Then, the game just does not tell you anything about game mechanics... once I came to a savepoint and I thought there is autosave, nobody told me I had to interact with the save point (aka mediation point) to save the game at this point! I thought it was not necessary coz I had enough health, but the next time I died, I started at the first savepoint at the beginning of the game earlier... its just soo annoying. You really see that people at lucasarts obviously had no intensions to fine-tune this game and test it till the end. You sometimes get the impression you are a stupid betatester. Imho, wait for the next 3 patches and don't waste your time on this frustrating piece of shi* Expand

    Gameplay: 4/10
The controls feel a bit awkward, and you can't adjust the controller sensitivity. Also, when the character moves through the environment, it feels like he's programmed to essentially be a straight line perpendicular to the ground, and when you turn, it just changes the angle of the line. It makes for an odd experience and it always feels like you're anchored to the ground and slave to some strange set of non-newtonian physics. The combat is alright, the respawns are painful.

    Presentation: 3/10
You'll notice right out of the gate that the graphics for characters are noticably worse than the environments/effects, particularly when it comes to facial animations. It looks like they hired all the animators from Mass Effect Andromeda. Faces look low resolution and lifeless on most humans, although the alien characters seemed to look much better. The only reason the Empire soldiers look good is because they're wearing helmets. Also, this is a light saber combat game that doesn't include full limb dismemberment, which is pretty weak. Textures in general seem to be hit an miss, but many of them look like they are from the ps3 era.

    Story 2/10
So for a single player game with so much source material to work from, the writing/dialog/story for this game is a steaming turd sandwich. You start off as a scrapper working with your buddy on crashed imperial ships from a recent conflict, oh but you're also a padawan, which you may or may not have been aware of, and your friend may or may not have been your jedi master, but it doesn't matter because he dies about 40 minutes into the game right as your starting to like him. Then theres a sith lord who couldn't tell you were a Jedi at first, despite their entire reason for being involved in the story is to find/hunt jedi's. So you run from this sith lord and while walking on top of some super futuristic monorail made out of metal grates, a ship flies up next to you, a bug eyed black lady opens the landing ramps, says she's your friend and she'll help, then that ship flies off. You reach the predictable end of the train level just in time to have that ship come and save you from certain doom. At this point bug eyed black lady basically reads you the cliff notes for the first several chapters of the games story. She's a rebel leader, and you know each other or at least she knows you, although its not explained why you would be working as a scrapper when you have contacts in the rebel alliance and you're actively being hunted. A talented writer would have written multiple nuanced interactions and dialogues that could have slowly brought you up to speed while letting you identify with, and become attached to these new characters. A talented writer was nowhere near this project. In about 5 minutes of exposition, Cera, the rebel lady basically just dumps out all the bullet points of who you are and why your here, and she does so in a way that's pretty painful. It looks like the same approach to the scripts for recent star wars movies was utilized for this game, which means dialogue is painfully simplistic and lacking any nuance or subtlety. It was written so that it translates easily to chinese and languages from other countries where Disney is trying to establish the franchise, and as a result, it has the quality of a script written by 5 year olds.

The 'professional' reviews for this game are full of **** This game, at best, is a 6/10 in its current state, and thats being pretty generous

    THE GOOD:
Excellent story, hard not to care about the characters with such a well done story. Great graphics and cinematic sequences, pretty good combat.
The BAD: Not enough role playing aspects. For example no stats, just skills, no equipment to change stats, all changes to light-saber are purely cosmetic, so are poncho and equipment changes. I would have liked a more traditional RPG

The problem with Soulslike combat is that you have to actually balance the enemies properly around it. I have yet to play a game not made by From Software that actually gets it right. Enemies in this game are *horribly* unbalanced for the combat system. Some melee enemies are literally impossible to hit through their massive guard and constant programmed parrying and trying to dodge and weave and hit from different angles doesn't do anything because they just snap in place to block you for some reason. Single or even two enemies at a time are fine, but when they start throwing in more than that and then enemies at range shooting at you with blasters outside your field of view or blowing you up with rocket launchers while the melee enemies constantly stunlock you the game becomes totally unplayable. I had to switch the game to the easiest difficulty and ironically that's when the enemies seem properly balanced. Anything above that and you're going to struggle, and not even because it's that hard, it's because the combat is clunky and unresponsive and they didn't even bother balancing the enemies for it. Later on you'll run into the Dark Souls 2 problem of having like 20 enemies on screen all attacking you simultaneously when the game is built for isolated engagements. It gets a bit better when you get the high end force abilities that allow you to just pick which enemies to immediately take out of the fight, but even then, it's a slog.

This is epitomized in the boss fights, which have got to be some of the absolute worst encounters I've ever seen in any game. They are so unbelievably unbalanced with some of them being unbelievably broken and unreasonably difficult. Many have unblockable attacks that for some reason track you even through rolls so you might as well just take it, the boss basically deciding it's going to take one of your heals away for no reason, and the melee bosses have the same cancer that the normal melee enemies do in that they're impossible to hit and can just super armor through your attacks to stagger you out of combos.

Also, can someone please tell me what the point of having a parry is when it does literally nothing? It doesn't open enemies up for attack since they just immediately block a followup, and it doesn't interrupt their attacks because they can just immediately start attacking afterwards as if you did nothing at all. There's literally no point in parrying in this game, it straight does nothing and you'd be better off holding your guard to avoid screwing up the timing because if you get hit you're immediately launched into stunlock hell.

That being said this is probably the best Star Wars game ever made. The story is your generic Star Wars fare, not being incredibly in depth or anything, but still being entertaining with tons of spectacle, and some parts did get me super hyped. I honestly would recommend people play this game on the easiest difficulty, because it actually makes you feel like a Jedi while at the same time rebalancing enemies to be less total bullsh**, and nothing is stopping you from employing the tactics the game says *should* work but straight up doesn't on the immediate higher difficulty for some reason.

However, to their credit, Respawn just made a game. Like, it's *just* a game. And somehow EA let them just make a *GAME.* And as a game I had a decent time with it, but moreso when I bumped the difficulty down when the game started throwing entire hordes or enemies to stunlock me to death.

Would be an 8/10 if it weren't for the horrible enemy balancing. I'm kind of hoping they release a patch that reworks the enemies or better yet add dedicated sliders to the difficulty options to perfectly optimize how you want the game to be.

Star Wars games made by EA have become somewhat of a joke at this point, only becoming memes of corporate greed rather than bringing anything new to the table in terms of gameplay. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order changes that.

Entrusting another studio with the franchise and solely focusing on a story driven singleplayer campaign is just what was needed. Fallen Order doesn't just succeed

Fallen Order doesn't just succeed in making a "acceptable" game, this is one of, if not the best Star Wars games out there at the moment.

I'll start with the best thing about this game. The feeling of being a true Jedi. Sure, when you start off as Cal Kestis, a Jedi Padawan in exile from the Imperial forces, your force and lightsaber abilities are very limited. You can block, attack and dodge. That's it. But as you progress through the game, upgrading and customizing your lightsaber, as well as healing and deepening your connection to the force, you gradually fight your way from a lost padawan to a wise and strong Jedi Knight. One gripe with it however is the difficulty. Sure, many people love challenging games, and while this is challenging in a good way, it sometimes take away from the feeling of being a true Jedi. For example dying against some powerful fauna instead of a noble fight against a dark side user. Wanting a challenging difficulty comes with some immersion-breaking costs. One of the few games I actually recommend playing on a lower difficulty for immersion purposes.

Onto the next strong point, the story. The story and characters are well written and intriguing, with satisfying story arcs and some great dialogue between them. I won't spoil anything, but I will say the ending is a fantastic and satisfying conclusion to the story, with lots of easter eggs and familiar things for fans of Star Wars.

Now for a couple of negative things. Even though I overall loved this game, there are some things to consider here before buying. Firstly, if you play on a standard PS4 like me, prepare for long load times and frame drops. Sometimes the game will freeze just to load in a new area in the middle of gameplay, which can be annoying. When loading saves, the game will sometimes have unloaded textures when you enter, which soon load however.

One more issue I personally have is the saving system. While I like the healing system of meditation spots which also respawns enemies, having these be the only saving points is very annoying. Games like these seem to forget the playing might a have a personal life that requires abruptly taking a break from the game. Instead, to keep progress you need to find a meditation spot. Thankfully however, there are many spread across a level, so it's not as big of an issue as it could be. Still it's a bad decision from the developers.

Overall though, if you're a Star Wars fan: GET THIS GAME. You will not regret it. Even casual fans will find much enjoyment.

Pros: Intricate characters, wonderful worldbuilding and environments, challenging yet very rewarding lightsaber and force combat.

Cons: Performance issues on PS4 Standard, inability to save where you chose.

I really loved this game. Personally, for me this game was a combination of a few games I really enjoyed. Starting the story, action, puzzles and the feeling of being a Jedi. Not too OP nor too weak.

Respawn Entertainment went hard with this game. They managed to capture both Star Wars and Soul-like fans. The removal of lootboxes was a huge win for gamers. I know multiplayer being absent was something celebrated but if we can have this game with a PVP saber dueling mode on top of the already insane singleplayer then this game would be an 11/10

Great game! Beautiful graphics and great star wars feel. At times a little to much jumping around, but overall a very entertaining game.

I was very very suspicious about this one! But it turned out to be quite good. Gameplay, story, music and characters are really well made. Level design is actually brilliant and the fighting mechanics are rewarding. So yeah, a really good game that I wouldn't mind a sequel. Feels more Star Wars than all the new movies!

Fantastic Gameplay! im mixed on the story, its kind of too simple and doesnt try too hard to be unique but for being the first single player story driven EA Star Wars game i guess they wanted to play it safe. (which is fine) For what the story was they did it in the best way they could. Mixed with the gameplay this surely makes an awesome star wars JEDI experience!

I'm not a star wars fan at all, but i really enjoyed this game.
    no macro-transactions
no live service crap only single player game !!! decent game play and game mechanics for me at least great soundtrack great story, not being bored this game is for people who missed great linear single player games and tired of multiplayer "bs" like battlefront 1/2 cons: it sometimes has a mini

Gameplay is poor and repetitive. The combat system is absolute trash.
Enemies are strong as in Dark Souls.
Save game is out of date. (Bonfire style included)
Good graphics but the story is simple, nothing special.

    2/10 waste of time

I have waited many years for this awesome experience. Very nice graphics, gameplay is blended of uncharted, god of war, force unleashed and some sekiro, as the others said. (I've never played sekiro yet, just watched videos 'bout that.) The game contains some kind of essential Star Wars, I mean the music, characters, maps, the Force and everytinhg is very well balanced. Just a blast of a game. Combat is fun and story is really engaging. Only cons to me is the wonky camera and bd's map.

On balance, the game is highly derivative and spends more time trying to channel the spirit of Tomb Raider and Dark Souls than it does evoking the spirit of the Star Wars universe. It fails at almost everything that KOTOR succeeded at leaving players feeling like they were trampled by a brand stamp rather than given a chance to participate in a fictional world.

Un juego pensado para los jugadores de antaño que aman las campañas en solitario, simplemente excepcional, mostrando la fuerza y la vulnerabilidad de un Jedi, lo amé.

If you get over a slower start without powers, we can assure you, that it will only get better and better. An entertaining mix of Uncharted, Tomb Raider and Dark Souls set in the Star Wars universe. You don’t have to worry; the game is worth its full price. [Issue#300]

As someone with limited time to play games, the shame of Fallen Order stems from multiple frustrations. It’s hard to fight and, worse, it’s hard to move. The game’s timing issues distracted me from both the story and the beautifully constructed worlds; I was too focused on simply staying alive. My many (many, many, many) deaths discouraged me from exploring worlds — all of them beautiful — as did the simple fact that traveling by foot (even a Jedi’s Force-enhanced feet) takes forever.

Respawn has shown us, and EA, that single player games are well enough alive and kicking and has set a bright future for the Star Wars franchise of videogames if they keep this up.
