EA have wrecked another game franchise, which is no surprise. Grinding to unlock crystals to unlock game characters shouldn't be anyones idea of fun, never mind the lootbox gambling and pay to win mechanics. Don't support this type of game, there are plenty of better games to spend your money on.

Way to go, EA. You killed video gaming. Pay to win is the future you have decreed. This means games are no longer games, by any reasonable definition of the term. Shame on you.

I expect this environment in free to play cell phone games like Clash of Clans but I don't expect this from a game I already have to pay 59.99 for. They need to take out all micro transactions. Ones that affect aesthetics could be acceptable even but don't base the entire game unlocks around it. I was dying to play this game however I will join everyone else and boycott it in hopes it sends a message to EA prevent this behavior. Expand

Pay to win trash. Those that pay into the loot crate system have an unfair advantage over everyone else in the game. Unless you're willing to grind for hundreds of hours, you need to spend another $100 just to stay competitive in the multiplayer. After dropping $60 for the base game, this is unacceptable. EA is ruining all of my favorite franchises. This example of detestable business practices is a preview of what Anthem will be, what the next Dragon Age will be, and what the next Titanfall will be.

I feel like buying some EA stock just so I can go to their shareholder meetings and tell them what a bunch of slimy f*cks their executives are.

infested with gambling boxes which ruin an average game. Disney should know better than to encourage gambling to children.

One of the worst Pay to win game yet. DO NOT BUY. Do not support Ea and Disney's attempt to get Minors hooked on this gambling simulator.

EA is an evil corporation that destroys beloved game studios and only cares about money. Don't ever buy a single EA game. This game is a repetitive grind fest full of micro transactions. Don't waste your money.

    - Preorder bonuses
    - Tiered pricing (Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, Deluxe Gold Edition)
    - Freemium progression system
    - Gambling System (aka Lootboxes)
    - Bad Campaign
    - Bad Multiplayer due to pay2win business model
    - Bad PR
    - 'official' Metacritic reviews praising this game to no end

    DO NOT BUY.

An abomination of free-to-play and pay-to-play. Not that the game would be any better if it was just free-to-play, the entire game is designed around getting you to spend real money to circumvent timers, buy lootboxes, and buy characters.

EA ruined it. This time for sure. Not a paricular good game itself. Bit the biggest problem is greed here. Lootboxes and P2W are evil. And gamers react accordingly. Simple and fair math, Don't be surprised, EA!

The game is great, gameplaywise and graphics are great.

But lootboxes in $60 game, which require about $2000 to unlock everything or over 150 DAYS of play time is BS.
Even worse is the fact that those lootboxes contain stuff that make you better, like 25% better turning on space ships and higher damage.

Don't buy this game to send a message to EA.

I can't believe the greed behind this game, and I can't believe Disney would support a game that offers gambling to kids. The whole game is ruined by EA and Disney's greed. They don't care about your kids, they just care about the almighty dollar. The game is junk without the upgrade cards and you can get them by spending more money. I love Star Wars but this game is predatory trash.

Single player. I felt this was not so much a story driven game as a string of demos thrown together to appease those complaining about lack of a story. I felt it was written by an 8 yr old. I felt it was written by an 8 yr old. The graphics in the campaign seemed dumbed down compared to MP. The HDR seemed turned off in the campaign in some places. Maps were way to tiny to enjoy the game at all. So linear that only small movement brought up an ‘out of bounds warning’ ruining gameplay. So with such miniature maps stealth and tactics is almost impossible.

No winter setting or Yoda in the campaign and no speeder bikes. Endor was so tiny and again that ruined the campaign for me. I felt the shooting was awkward and never felt comfortable with most guns except maybe a couple. Just way too linear and scripted for me to enjoy. No replayability at all.

Multiplayer. I paid A$99 for this game yet can’t use heroes of my choice until I unlock them? If I can I’ll try and get a refund. I don’t want to play MP with a character and weapons I don’t like and I think at least heroes should all come unlocked. Fair enough to earn abilities and weapon upgrades but characters are why we buy these games. Iconic characters like Rey and Yoda. Why do I have to play months to unlock them? Doesn’t my A$99 cover this?

Either give us what we’ve paid for or make the game freemium but what they’ve greedily done is make a full paid game with freemium in app purchases. This is nothing but CHEATING, LYING AND STEALING.

This is supposed to be a AAA title ONLY with ALL CONTENT INCLUDED but EA have created a AAA FREEMIUM game and they know it. They are pushing the boundaries to see just how far they can go.

How far the greedy gaming industry can go depends on YOU and just how much YOU stand up for your RIGHTS. For A$99 you are ENTITLED to a FULL GAME with FULL ACCESS to ALL CONTENT.

One day a group of gamers have to UNITE and file a LAW SUITE against these companies DOUBLE DIPPING to teach them all to back off and give us exactly what we pay for.

In the meantime DONT BUY any AAA tittles that charge AAA prices yet use FREEMIUM DOUBLE DIPPING MODELS TO UNLOCK CONTENT. EA laughably said they wanted us to feel pride we had earned our progress. What a lot of BULLDUST. All they want is $300, $400 from each of us for their games. Steve jobs started this IAP rubbish and I’ll never, ever forgive him. He’s ruined both the gaming and mobile gaming industry and turned it into a gambling casino.

ZERO FOR SINGLE PLAYER AND ZERO FOR MULTIPLAYER BASED ON GAMEPLAY MAINLY. way too linear, no speeder bikes. Where’s the snow? Very poor physics hardly any destruction. Can’t play as hero I like after playing A$99 is a rip off. Too many ‘out of bounds’ areas. Some maps seem to have HDR and others not. Cannot play MP as cannot play hero OF MY CHOICE after paying A$99 and I’m not going to play 40 hours to get the hero I like. I ALREADY PAID THE PRICE FOR ALL CONTENT BUT HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT.

EA seems determined to destroy all games and franchises with their greedy corporate practices. Gamers are happy to give them their hard earned money if they just give them what they want. Unfortunately while we still have morons out there pre-ordering games I am not sure this will change. If you pre-order games please take a good long hard look at yourself.

Loot boxes are a cancer. And now EA wants to push this and connect this gambling to progression? No. Loot boxes should ONLY give cosmetic stuff, live Overwatch does, for instance. The game should NOT be locked behind a loot box system that almost forces you to pay real money. This practice must not be supported.

Battlefront 2 could have been such an improvement over the last one; great graphics, great characters, fun multiplayer. But corporate greed can't help but take all this and turn into sh*t. Sad, sad thing.

This game won't be getting my money, I tell you that. WE NEED TO TAKE GAMING BACK!!!

Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
