    This game is really fun. If everyone had to review this is a vacuum, it would have fewer low scores. People hear negative things from others and they get hyperfocused on what they hear and espouse the same negative commentary. It's not quite as good as RE2 remake in the same way that the original RE3 is not as great as the original RE2. But it's a great game and superior to certainThis game is really fun.     Horrible.... Why Capcom why.... I was awaiting this game, hoped it would be good but no....

    They removed all puzzles, replaced them by yellow colored locks and chains. Alot of content is missing, clocktower, park, multiple endings, mercenary mode. Nemesis is just a walking trashbag. Hes is boring as he gets, 1 granade finnishes him off...Atleast in the orignal game he was    Horrible.... Why Capcom why.... I was awaiting this game, hoped it would be good but no....

    Nemesis is just a walking trashbag. Hes is boring as he gets, 1 granade finnishes him off...Atleast in the orignal game he was something to be feared after he killed off Brad, would you fight the monster or run, not knowing when he may apear next?... Instead Jill trashes him like some ordinary zombie.

    Why does Nemesis need weapons to kill Jill? He can just grab her and crush her head.... but no, that won't happen, lets change it into boring action fights instead. Nemesis can smash a concrete wall with ease, but a door stops him, what the hell?

    Jill acts like a feminist, not needing help of any man. Her original outfit is replaced by a boring casual outfit, her original outfit atleast looked interesting and unique.

    Carlos hair looks stupid.... why change it....

    A missed opportunity to make the game as good as the RE2 remake, alot of dissapointed fans, shame Capcom, Shame....

    Buy on sale if your bored out of your mind and got nothing else to play...    … Expand

    I personally really enjoyed the game as there really hasnt been alot of good horror games latly, with most studios opting for the cheap and boring walking simulator approach to horror.

    I have some complaints, Nemisis was irritating at times, it was a bit short lived and a bit more combat would have been good. A few sections where you are focused on clearing zombies would have added to the length and satisfaction overall. As the gunplay in RE3 R is perfect, your not OP and always on the back foot making the wins feel very relieving. Its just as Survival horror combst should be. This game has received alot of critisism and most is fair, I guess the floors are wirse for some than other. I liked it.    … Expand

    Не смотря на то что, визуально и геймплейно игра основана на 90% с RE2, получилась совершенно полноценная и самостоятельная история, с классной героиней и крутым антагонистом, Немезис настоящее украшение игры, крайне злобный, отлично нарисованный, с интересными боссфайт механиками.

    Визуальная часть прекрасна, дизайн локаций проработан, в мир зомби апокалипсиса веришь и легко    Не смотря на то что, визуально и геймплейно игра основана на 90% с RE2, получилась совершенно полноценная и самостоятельная история, с классной героиней и крутым антагонистом, Немезис настоящее украшение игры, крайне злобный, отлично нарисованный, с интересными боссфайт механиками.

    Even if they made some questionable changes to the game, I found this to be a pretty faithful re-imagining of the original game. As most of the reviews for this have been saying, it just lacks the depth of RE1 & RE2, but it was the same during the original run. It is very linear compared to those games and jut never had the same impact.     Judging by how poorly users are reviewing this game, I was expecting a massive let down, but to be honest, I had a very good time playing it. However from a fan standpoint (myself included), I could see why so many people are upset about how things were changed up.

    The previous RE remakes sure weren't exactly the old games but now good looking (thankfully). Some elements were added or completely revamped, but fans could still relate to the original works from where they were based on, whereas RE 3 stumbles by going too far on the premise of reimagining things almost killing the nostalgia factor by removing much of it's iconic elements. The new take on Brad's death is underwhelming, no clock tower (now is just background scenario), no raccoon park and no Nemesis at the Police Station. Unexplainable...but if you could overcome (or don't care about) the lack of love for nostalgic hearts, there's still a very enjoyable game to play, but sadly a short one, it last as about a single campaign from RE2 remake (5-6 hours). I do not enjoy overly long games, but it ends too soon. If they kept Clock Tower and Raccoon Park it would probably be just fine.    … Expand

    Jogo muito curto e com partes excluídas do original. Zumbis reciclados do RE2 remake, porém com problemas de colisões. Jogo preguiçoso!

    Instead of running through the game in one day, I took my time playing it. I explored everywhere I could. This game is great. Granted I didn't finish the original RE 3 because I got too scared of nemesis when I played it ( I was maybe 9 or 10). I still believe this remake is a great way of modernizing the original game. There is no sense of dread like in the previous remake, I'm just running around in circles shooting explosive barrels. Maybe i had high expectations, but i still feel that this game needed more time.     The game is great in all aspects. But if you are looking for a clone or exact remake form the 99 version, this is not for you. The duration is about 5 or 6 hours (just like the old Resident Evils)

    It feels like capcom is focus on online game so I suggest a discount for single player.

    I liked it a lot, in about 6 hours I completed the game in normal mode with all the locks open with the pick, I have explored the entire map without leaving anything. The story is good even a little better and more interesting than RE 2. The gameplay is the same but it incorporates the dodge, something that comes in handy in dangerous situations and the fighting is very frenzy with the bosses.

    Excelente jogo, apenas bom Remake. História muito mais desenvolvida que no original, com mais profundidade aos personagens, porém a retirada de vários momentos icônicos do original são muito tristes, fora a duração do game ser curta.

    I enjoyed this slick action-leaning survival horror game. I've been playing Resi games for 23 years and can happily say this is a good one. While it suffers from coming in the wake of the wonderful experience that was the RE2 remake, pretty much offering more of the same, it is definitely worth playing.

    The locations are memorable (especially the streets, power plant and the hospital)    I enjoyed this slick action-leaning survival horror game. I've been playing Resi games for 23 years and can happily say this is a good one. While it suffers from coming in the wake of the wonderful experience that was the RE2 remake, pretty much offering more of the same, it is definitely worth playing.

    The locations are memorable (especially the streets, power plant and the hospital) and it was good to switch between Jill and Carlos. I thought the boss battles were decent and varied enough. I really liked the return of the Hunters as well. It was also nice to have a siege defence sequence, a rare treat in a RE game. I would have liked more use of the mine grenades, which made a brief cameo appearance.

    There are a huge amount of complaints going on about the length, but in fact there is pretty much the same amount as RE2 remake. It just doesn't have as much backtracking like in RE2's police station. And the dodge mechanic and plentiful ammo mean you can blast through very quickly, hence the embarrassingly quick speedruns. But that's not how you get the most from the game. Yes, I wish it were longer, but all the classic RE games and their remakes are pretty short.

    There were a few disappointing things. Apart from near the start, and 4 boss battles Nemesis, is limited to Uncharted style scripted chases with collapsing platforms and dodging of rockets. I didn't enjoy them much.

    It's a big shame they cut the clock tower and the graveyard boss. And there is nowhere near enough open exploration of Raccoon City. It's pretty much what you get in the demo. Also the main human antagonist must be the weakest and most forgettable in the series. Wesker he ain't.

    Overall i enjoyed it a lot, it has some great locations and combat, and will play through again on the tougher difficulty levels.
    For non-obsessives of the RE series it might be better to wait for a price drop.    … Expand

    Simplemente bien... Poco rejugable... si, otra vez la misma historia con mas dificultad/enemigos en otro sitio.... No es LeonA - Leon B - Claire A - Claire B.... Es el 2 remake pero con 3 cosas nuevas y poco mas. Un poquito decepcion. Ahun así es un buen juego sin ninguna duda.

    Only positive point is Carlos and Jill, just them, Nemesis is a joke, the lack of puzzle is ridiculous, the duration of the game is ridiculous, the lack of iconic scenes from the original Resident Evil 3 is ridiculous, I loved RE2 Remake, but this one is hard to swallow.

    in the span of 15 hours i beat the game about 5 times already, coincidentally it's the same amount that average Jill fan beat his meat to semi-erotic fan arts on re3 community page. Seriously, The time it took to publish realistic looking nude mode can only be rivaled by the re3's campaign length. In any case, my only two complains are: 1 - Nemesis changes into dog like creature on 1/3 of the playthrough and i think it's kinda lame, cause it doesn't really impose the same threat in the new form. 2 - infinite rocket launcher is too easy to obtain which nullifies the difficulty on any level.

After the first hour or so you will find that it feels more like a trimmed down RE2make. All the aspects of RE2make which made it shine have been dulled down.    And all that could have been.

    Resident Evil 3 remake feels like a rushed cash grab off of the curtails of RE2make's success. As you play you just cannot shake the feeling that it could have been so much more than what it is. After the first hour or so you will find that it feels more like a trimmed down RE2make. All the aspects of RE2make which made it shine have been dulled down. With Nemesis you never feel that you are being tracked down and hunted like you did with Mr. X. He appears in staged "events" and is gone almost as fast as he appeared. Many of the same locations from RE2make are seen again and they feel more like fan service than plot progression, answering questions no one asked.

    Graphically speaking it does not look bad. But, it also does not look that much improved over RE2make. Many of the assets are identical to those found in RE2make. You will be fighting the exact same 6 zombies you fought in RE2make over, and over, and over. The later iterations of Nemesis do look awesome. And I really do like the look of the hunters. But just about every other enemy feels like a rerun.

    The story and presentation feel like Michael Bay and J. J. Abrams wrote/directed it. It is all bang and flash eye candy with little substance and a heavy dose of the "just so happens." No matter what situation you find yourself in the solution "just so happens" to be not far away. The plot is thin and predictable and never captivates the player. There are no twists that you won't see coming a mile away. Ultimately, and quite possibly the biggest sin, it gets boring and derivative.

    As far as game play goes there has only been a couple tweaks to the RE2make formula. The addition of the dodge is nice as well as the knife no longer having durability. But, it feels like the damage the knife does do has been reduced when compared to the durability knives from RE2make. If you are a fan of the puzzle aspects found in the original Resident Evil trilogy you will be sorely disappointed. If there are puzzles they are so mundane and trivial that you will not even recognize them as a puzzle.

    The package as a whole feels more like a larger DLC content patch than it does a stand alone game. So, Is RE3make bad? No, not at all. It is playable and even enjoyable. But I can't help feeling disappointed when I think of what re3make could have been.    … Expand

Sencillamente geniales y que para un título de estas características soy de la opinión de que cuanto mejor se vea, más creíble es y mejor es la experiencia. RE3 Remake cumple con las expectativas.
    Música
    - En el apartado musical y efecto sonoros. Nos encontramos de la misma forma que con los gráficos en un entorno inmersivo, Que nos proporciona esos picos de tensión y esos momentos de calma. Las armas y los zombies también suenan geniales. Todos los elemntos auditivos que se pueden encontrar en el juego contribuyen notablemente a la fluidez del juego, acompañan a la tensión y a la acción de manera simbiótica perfectamente orquestada.
    -
    Multijugador
    - El multijugador es de aquellas cosas que si bien no molesta que estén, tampoco habríamos notado su ausencia. RE Resitance es muy descafeinado. No aporta, faltan personas en el Matchmaking, es poco creíble. En definitiva es un apartado que en mi caso no me ha interesado nada pero tampoco hay ningún elemento que me invite a seguir jugando al multijugador. No es atrayente.
    Duración
    - Es un juego muy corto, de ahí el intento de incluir el multijugador. Al tratarse de un juego de mucha más acción que el 2, con mucho menos componente de exploración y más frenético. Te pasarás la mayor parte del juego corriendo. No quiero decir con esto que por ser un juego corto sea malo. En absoluto es malo si bien es cierto que se siente una vez terminado que falta algo más que apenas te has puesto con él. Entiendo que aumentando el nivel de dificultad aumente la duracción, pero en puzzles y exploración seguirá siendo un juego pobre en este apartado, aunque el original tampoco destacaba por ser un juego largo precisamente.
    Traducción
    - El juego viene doblado completamente al castellano y además está muy bien doblado. Las voces acompañan en todo momento a los personajes y a sus roles. Nada que envidiar a otros doblajes. es un gustado sentirte inmerso en la atmósfera de RE 3 remake en todos los aspectos, incluía tu lengua materna. Jugabilidad

    I didn't get to play the original game so I'm really glad i was able to play it now.
    I absolutely enjoyed every second playing it. Would highly recommend it to anyone how love horror/action game.

    The game is outstanding and is probably the Resident Evil title that benefits the most from a remake. Both Jill and Carlos are fantastic and the dialogue lacks any of the cringe of the RE2 remake (looking at you, Claire). The knife, dodge, and zombie action are all improved over the previous remake. Liked RE2 better? Yo, no one cares. Did you finish the game quickly on an easier difficulty setting? Next time, read (or have someone read for you if you are incapable) and choose the difficulty setting that will match your expectations. Upset about the omission of the clocktower? Uh, that was absolutely the most tedious part of the original release. The story in this game is tight, to the point, and does not include any frivolous exploration that frankly has no place in a story about an outbreak. All of the players that wanted to slowly creep around, get upgrades, and plant a garden or whatever have something wrong with them. If you are influenced by them and their inability to understand that quality always trumps quantity, then there is something wrong with you.

    So don't be a dunce. Buy Resident Evil 3 and have an outstanding time. Hell, play the game on nightmare and inferno modes and have a true S.T.A.R.S. experience. And if you know someone from the church of RE2 remake, wait until the end of the pandemic and throw something messy (but safe!) at them.     It was decent if a little short, RE2 was better so it was a bit of a downgrade. Cut content from the OG. The characters were well performed and captured though, all of them. While I was playing it I struggled to put it down so was left craving a bit more, Resistance is alright but it is let down by laggy games almost everytime. The main game is lacking though, especially on costumes

    At times I really enjoyed it, the characters, Raccoon city atmosphere etc, it looks great and is slick but is very short, has a couple of clunky unenjoyable battles with hunters and excludes content from the original, clock tower, the water works and the park. Great to see Jill back however!!! Jill Valentine IS resident evil!

That's roughly twice the price of a standard DLC pack which is essentially what it is. At least 50% of the content is recycled, even the animation for the vaccine machine! If I had paid £60 I'd be asking for a refund. That's why my review score is so low. Redeeming factors are Jill, Jill's ass during prone scenes, Jill cutscenes, Jill and Jill. Nemesis went from awesome to ridiculousness in less than an hour. If he can survive being actually disintegrated in acid he better be coming back in a later game after being nuked. Also considering the fact it was an air detonated nuke and he was underground in a lab that's just poor writing. I actually found 1and 2 believable. I can't excuse 3, maybe 22 years ago? Now now, and certainly not for £60. I have to rate this at it's RRP not what I paid. 4/10.… Expand

    This was hard for me to rate because it’s a good game and is enjoyable the issue is they took so much out from the original game and turned this from a horror game into a survival game instead so it lost the original spirit which is why I fought between rating it a 6 or 7.     I am 35 years old. I have playing Resident Evil (RE) games since Resident Evil (PC) in 1997. I prefer the RE Survival Horror games. And this RE3 presents a perfect balance between Survival Horror and Action. Every single second of action has been justified by the plot of the game.

    I did my first play-through on Hardcore. My score was 10 hours and 33 minutes. I played relaxed, in the dark with headphones, exploring the scenario, looking for collectibles (I found the 20 Mr. Charlie, the 56 files, the 10 weapons and its upgrades), and enjoying the survival horror experience. I have been truly amazed by this game, and if you know how to play and, specially, how to enjoy this games, you will have the same feeling.

    Certainly, the game is short. But all RE survival horror games are short. And this game has the average length of a RE survival horror game. I would even say that this RE3 is slightly longer than Resident Evil 3 Nemesis. A game that was planned to be a spin-off of RE2, Code: Veronica was going to be the third game, and only has one campaign.

    And this is important. When people are saying that RE and RE2 are longer, we must remember that booth campaings in RE, Jill and Chris, are exactly the same with a few changes like Rebecca and Barry as secondary character. Besides that, nothing different.

    The same with RE2, besides Sherry and Ada, the game is the same for booth characters. So when we are talking about longer games, we must be fair and see that booth campaigns are 95% identical. So at the end, we are playing in the same scenarios and facing the same enemies and final bosses over and over.

    Once this said, I will start with the review:

    Graphically is stunning. Improved from RE7 and RE2. Probably, the best face animations in video games. Certainly, the gore has been downgraded probably due more assets on screen However this game looks stunning i all aspects

    The sound is PERFECT. Great atmosphere combined with a refined remastered selection from the best pieces of the original game. The sound effects are realistic and the voice acting is accurate.

    The controls are the same from RE7 and RE2. Fun, intuitive and grounded with the addition of the dodge movement. Once this is controlled, a huge need in higher difficulties, the comfort is just maximum.

    Several things have been improved from the original. Better narrative, with a deeper detail on story, characters and its relation among them. The pacing has been increased with remarkable results.

    Probably, from the nostalgic point of view, this game has 2 sins. The first one is Nemesis. The redesign and the new character is better. But certainly has been severely under used. Probably, to avoid the stress and the frustration of those who are playing on easy and super easy difficulties.

    In the other hand, a few locations and enemies have been cut off from the original. Despite the graveyard and the park, where we were less than 5 minutes, I think that the Saint Michael Tower (Clock Tower) and the Grave Digger would be included. Besides the nostalgic factor, would add a few minutes more of gaming experience.

    Nevertheless, new areas have been included and others have been severely expanded. The new NEST 2 and the Hospital are good examples. This also affected to the characters and the story. We have new ones, the existing ones are deeper and allows the player to know better some aspects from Jill, Carlos, Tyrrell, Marvin and Nicholai. This one has been emerged as the new main villain of this new edition of Resident Evil 3.

    In conclusion, Resident Evil 3 is an excellent game that will make happy booth, new and old fans. However, the old fans must have in mind that this is not just a remake, it is a re-imagination. A completely new experience.

    My advice, in special for those who think RE3 is easy and short:

    1. Play the original game before
    2. Play on Hardcore
    3. Relax and enjoy the experience exploring and discovering the secrets.

    The game is not bad, but it's rushed and it's visible. Super short, without the gimmicks from 2-remake, with the cut story. It's still fun to play once you find it on the sale because it's a solid game. But it's definitely weaker than the previous remake, unfortunately.

    Yup. It's an AWESOME remake. The cancerous fans of the original RE3, should understand what a REMAKE means. This is not a remaster.... IT.IS.A.REMAKE. So they removed clock tower and some other areas, but they added new areas and expanded some other! I really enjoyed the game from A to Z.

    Так, что буду судить об игре, как человек видящий её впервые.
    Ну, что можно сказать, игра сделана, судя по всему, на том же движке, что и Resident Evil 2 Remake. Так, что визуальных различий между ними минимум. Не отличаются они и геймплейно, та же баллистика, тот же вещмешок и всё, всё, всё.
    Это комплимент игре, если что!
    Мне не очень, ё моё, вообще не понравился главный, ё моё, единственный босс игры. Бои с ним скучны. Какая, никакая тактика, появляется только в финальной битве.
    К тому же в игре, практически не разъясняется, кто такой, такая, короче, такое этот Немезис. И главное, почему он гоняется именно за нашей бабой. А также, почему он не может её никак убить, если выносит на раз, не хилых таких, статистов. В макулатуре, можно кой чего найти, но ничего конкретного.
    Теперь о вонючем. Ну куда ж мы, без плохих русских. "Русских" антагонистов, американцы видят исключительно жадными, подлыми, лживыми, самолюбивыми идиотами. Короче такими, какими являются сами в реальной жизни. Ведь сама суть США, зиждется на деньгах. Все последние войны, америкосы начинали из-за бабла, нарушая договоры, обманывая всех пробирками, называя себя исключительными! У меня есть деньги - значит я прав! Это их девиз. Я понимаю, что игру делали японцы, но для американского рынка и я думаю, янки их сильно "консультировали".
    Если кто сомневается в подмене понятий, обратите внимание на последнюю Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 года.

The soundtrack and ambience are perfect, which makes it a shame we can't explore more of Racoon City. This game isn't actually shorter than most Resident Evil games, it just feels that way because classic locations like the clock tower and park were not included, making fans of the original feel that this game is missing something. Not including the park especially is a missed opportunity because it would have been refreshing and gorgeous in the RE engine. The park and clock tower helped the original RE3 standout because they were unique locations that contrasted the series typical oppressive indoor environments.

    Objectively, this is still a fantastic game though. There is a lot to love here, it's just too bad Capcom cut a few things they shouldn't have because this game easily could have been as good as the RE2 remake or better, but that is a high bar to hit. This is still a very good game and it is a loyal improvement over the original in many ways, just not all of them.    … Expand

    The game is way better than RE2 remake, unlike RE2 difficulty is very balanced in RE3, you couldn't find any ammo (even on standard difficulty) in RE2, MR.X was so annoying in RE2 and would chase you everywhere. But nemesis is very balanced and its only in some specificed locations, gun play is way more better than RE2, graphics are way better than Re2.     I'm a huge fan of the resident evil series, played the 3rd original one when i was a kid and replayed it recently, but this remake was a huge disappointment, is a "decent" game but a bad remake... They took the word Remake and didn't consult what would be the meaning of it, a shame what they did, they ruined a game that I love so much. managed to leave the game less than the classic Resident Evil 3 of the 90's, a shame. I carry a deep regret just imagining what good this game could have been, but this company managed to let me down, expected an expanded and totally revamped story like Resident Evil 1 Remake, and paid my money for a shallow story, missing a lot of scenarios and totally lazy.     Many people rate this game short. I kind of agree, but its not that short! If you play it with pace, it will take you a while to finish it (I finished it in 9h50m). Its a good game, with great graphics. Nemesis isnt as scary as Mr. X, and if we compare this game to RE2R, there is a lack of puzzles here. ThIs game is an action oriented game. Its a good game overall

    Resident Evil 3 is better than Resident Evil 2. Capcom corrected the excess light in the fire that was in Re2, the dodge is really cool to make, the characters are more interesting, the game is the right size, the cyrscenes are incredible , the battles against Nemesus are great, it's a great action game. I still prefer Re7's atmosphere of terror. I am 41 years old and I played Re3 inResident Evil 3 is better than Resident Evil 2. With a fairly decent runtime and may I say also a nonstop, edge of your seat action and thrills campaign. Also brings a worthy and added fun time with friends via online component multiplayer; Resistance, really adds more flavor and bang for your buck.     i didn't play the og re3 so the "cut content" didn't affect me one bit
    i played it 6 times already but im always replaying it
    replay-ability is there ppl who say otherwise are WRONG
    no matter what you must buy this game its a 10/10 masterpiece

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Definitely a step back from RE2, the lack of fear and danger it's very noticeable, and the intense moments fades away really fast after the first act.
    Although, they did get a bit lazy with this one, cutting so much content from the original game by making it 4 hours long and not adding any extra content (despite some unlockables that can be used in-game which will probably be enough to keep the replayability fun for while), the game still has it's flavor and enough content to be deserved of a good rating.
    Nemesis, being the most high expectation enemy deliveries it's imposing presence really well in the begining of the game, he doesn't deliver the same fear and frustration that mr. X did, and he's definitely less present, but he's still an awesome and interesting enemy to face until he gets mutated, and that's where the boss fights with him and his character overall becomes really boring and sloppy.
    Despite being a scripted character that unfortunately couldn't beat mr. X's performance, without him the game wouldn't have got the same spirit, but they definitely could have done a better job.
    Anyways, it's awesome, fun, but quite disappoint in some ways, Capcom definitely decided to take a more action routed experience instead of a scary one.    … Expand

The original had side stories that further made you feel invested into the game such as Dario’s story in the beginning where he lost his daughter, the awesome cutscene of the battle between RPD and the zombies, saving Brad from the zombie and then his death, the Nemesis mostly keeping his form and character until the final battle, and I always thought the room at the dead factory where you fight the final nemesis form was awesome where you see a bunch of dead mercenaries and T-002 tyrants signaling a major battle took place there (that would have been an awesome battle to explore). Rather than providing us with that sense of wonder, we get a generic story with cliche characters, and the Nemesis is watered down. I did not understand why the change to make Nemesis into a fish creature and then a blob as that was already done with Birkin. I’m disappointed that this game could have been so much more.… Expand

    But, i miss the gore that RE2R had, i miss the city exploration that was a big thing in the original one. I miss a lot of references, the stars yell from nemesis and the locations.     It really pains me to give this game so low of a score, as I was expecting to have this be my new favorite game of all time, but this game really broke my heart. The original RE3 from -99 is my all time favorite game and I was soooo looking forward to seeing how they've remade it, especially after the fantastic remake of RE2.

    -The game looks great, which is honestly and sadly the main driving force for it in my opinion.

    -I think Jill was remade quite nicely (as are the other characters), though as much as I like a determined, bad-ass antagonist, I think she kind of overdid it. It took much of the respect and terrifyingness away from Nemesis when Jill kind of trash-talks at him. Best example of that is how Jill just throws out the iconic "you want stars? I'll give you stars." at him at the beginning part. It felt more like a meme for loss of better words here.

    -The pacing feel off and hollow. Why does the same Nemesis that smashed through the wall of my home be stopped by a pile of rubble blocking the doorway. And especially the same Nemesis now armed with a rocket launcher stop his pursuit when a sliding door is shut in front of him? The scripted chase sequences feel like they stop to a wall when they are over. At the beginning when Jill had just escaped from Nemesis in her apartments, instead of continuing to run away she just stops by to chat with Brad right in front of the same apartment where Nemesis is.

    -The gunplay, even though it's quite good, but why doesn't it feel as satisfying as in RE2 Remake? Did anyone else notice how the enemies feel less responsive to getting hit, and also like the ragdoll effects feel lesser too. I swear I saw many zombies fall down exactly the same and kind of "wrong" after being shot down. Anyone?

    -I absolutely hated to new UI additions. The large icons showing above items when you get near them looks really awkward, I think. And also the X-button (PS4 here) pressing sequences that show up here and there. RE2 Remake had a really gorgeous and quite minimalistic UI which I liked.

    At this point I'm seeing how I compare this so much to RE2 Remake. But I don't think it's too far-off to had hoped that this entry would have been at least equal and not less than it's predecessor. Especially considering they were being developed side by side.

    -Imagine how cool it would have been to have the already existing groundwork of Mr.X's AI from REmake 2 mixed with the fantastic design of Nemesis. That would have been the best! Instead we got a handful of scripted sequences with him. Like come on, he's such an iconic and central character to the whole story. Why is he so downplayed?

    -Also about Nemesis. To be honest, I really loved his redesign here. Meaning his first form of course, becase what the hell is up with his second form? Suddenly is he a dog or something? For me the essence of Nemesis has always been this unstoppable hulking monster, like Terminator. Now suddenly he's running on all fours and leaping around cars and walls? His second form was so great in the original and I couldn't have waited to see how he would have been in a proper remake.

    -Obviously the huge amount of cut content. What the hell happened? Did the development team honestly cut like 80% off the original areas for any good purpose? And also if cut, what did they replace them with? Nothing? The places that we got here barely resembled the source material. I read another review here which pointed how Raccoon City looks more like Las Vegas with it's over-blasted neon signs now and I agree.

    -Dead Factory from the original was such a cool, creepy place and they decided to cut it and replace it with a generic Resident Evil movie-esque laboratory. Don't get me wrong, NEST from REmake 2 was awesome, but this NEST2, come on. Firstly, what's with the name? Why is it 2? Is it because it's the second laboratory we see. But that doesn't make any sense. Also it really felt like a forced in RE Resistance add. The sequence with Jill running around the laboratory warehouse searching for fuses while Nicholai monitors here makes absolutely no sense and felt ridiculous and out of place.

    -What was up with the whole antivirus plot they did in the end part. Who was Jill trying to get the antivirus for? As far as I saw it, everyone in Raccoon City was already turned or dead by then. What use would have an antivirus had anymore by then.

    Gahh, I'm just going on and on... Geez, I'm just so bummed out. I would have really loved to love this game, and I think we all would have deserved a proper remake of such a magnificent classic game. Oh well, now I'm looking forward to the future and a chance for a proper remake of RE3, done by Capcom's Division 1 with the same love and care that they showed to RE2, and NOT by M-Two anymore, please!    … Expand

    Even though it is a very successful game, you will feel a little disappointed. Compared to the remake of the second game, this one often loses its pace and it is impossible to get rid of the impression that there could and should have been more to this game. [Issue#303]

    After a stellar remake of an arguably the best Resident Evil game ever made, Capcom has let down our expectations by giving us a more scripted, more linear survival horror action game that will probably be forgotten like so many sequels that have gone the path of less resistance when it comes to game design. RE3 make feels more like a DLC than a full-blown game.
