    What an amazing reboot to such a FUN game. Excellent 3D platforming, truly funny humor, gorgeous graphics, and tight gameplay. I cannot wait for them to do a new one on the PS4, this improved upon the already-excellent original in every way.

    Fun factor,graphics,innovative,addictive,polished. Finally somebody made a great game this year and past... It is one of those games, that you can sense that everything went right while creating it.

    I love this series, so I was thrilled to have it back.

    Now this is a remake/reboot, so it does follow the broad strokes of the initial game way back in 2002. But it does so having incorporated 14 years of progress in gameplay, graphics, and storytelling to punch up the narrative. Plus, it's only $40! When was the last time a Triple A studio dropped a trademark game for less than $60 (or    I love this series, so I was thrilled to have it back.

    Now this is a remake/reboot, so it does follow the broad strokes of the initial game way back in 2002. But it does so having incorporated 14 years of progress in gameplay, graphics, and storytelling to punch up the narrative. Plus, it's only $40! When was the last time a Triple A studio dropped a trademark game for less than $60 (or more with DLC)? It is absolutely worth your money, especially if you love any of the previous games in the series, clever platformers, or quirky Pixar-esque humor.

    I played the original 10 years ago but everything seem new and fresh. Just some amazing gameplay that is so rare these days in games. Lots of collectibles that will keep you busy if you want.

    FANTASTIC game - it is so refreshing to see an "E" rated game that is so well polished and fun to play! This is on par with Nintendo and Pixar - well done, we need more of this on Sony and Xbox platforms! 10/10

    Nunca tinha comprado Ratchet & Clank, é uma série que nunca me disse nada, mas este jogo está fantástico e o factor diversão é enorme! A nível gráfico...OMG...do melhor que já vi nesta geração de consolas. Um grande jogo.

    Great Game, Pixar is here!!! A nice Re-imagining of a classic game. Great job Insomniac. I am still enjoying it like i was 12 lol!!! The best game so far in 2016!!

    This was the game that PS4 needed for the console lunch instead of Knack (aka i want to be Ratchet and clank so badly........). That said, its a fantastic game on every single aspect. Beautiful, Funny, lenghty and gameplay is great, very polished product and what is shocking is........ price is just 39.99 !!!!

    The characters, as always, are as heartwarming as ever and the humor still reigns supreme. The pacing through the challenge sequences is perfect and just keeps the sense of satisfaction blooming with every kill and every level completed. There's just something so wonderfully addictive about pulling in the gush of bits and bolts after enemies and crates are dismembered....it's fun running about, after a stage has been cleared, just to smash every hidden crate and vacuum up every stray cog. The weapons with their progression trees are easy to use yet both diverse and creative..just a riot! The gunplay itself is superb, though perhaps a bit cup-cakey if one is a hardcore shooter fan, I'm guessing. I love shooters as well, but by no means consider myself a pro. I'll never turn up my nose at a casual shooter if its done well with artfulness and skillful execution. R&C is excellent in this regard...a class act.

    Highly recommended for anyone looking for a spot of refreshing color after grinding through the darkness of DS3 for hours upon hours. You know who you are ;) Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this little gem    … Expand

    Running, gunning, flying, diving, racing, exploring, puzzle solving, etc. there is just so much to do. And even better: Every gameplay mechanic is so well executed, that it never feels like it should not be in the game. It's a nice throwback to days when games were more about creativity and not so much about realism but it feels fresh and polished as well.     After a long time without a proper Ratchet & Clank game i was waiting so long for this, and boy does it deliver.

    It feels just like the old PS2 R&C games which is more than i could've asked for. The humor is still there and at its best, gameplay is fun, smooth and feels great. Love the weapons and gadgets plus the upgrade system is great.     The cutscenes are amazing and the graphics are outstanding, this game just looks beautiful. Seriously this game is so good that i forget its a remake/reboot. Insomniac and Nintendo are some of the few publishers that show not every game needs to be realistic and serious, it's the goofiness and colour that makes this game unique.

    I don't often leave reviews but Insomniac...you hit the ball out the park with this one! I played the original and the reboot just felt so fresh, new and improved it felt like a brand new game with some adjustments but familiar in a good way. I'm giving this game 10/10 as it pretty much nails every aspect you'd want and expect in a next-gen platformer. So well balanced, extremely fun andI don't often leave reviews but Insomniac...you hit the ball out the park with this one!     I'd just beaten the original "Ratchet and Clank" on the PS2 when this game came close to release. I'd pre-ordered it ahead of time, because the series really intrigued me and I wanted to support the reboot since I grew up with Insomniac (since the Spyro days) and they make really great games. Finished the first game, loved it, and then picked up the reboot, and it's just as great, if notI'd just beaten the original "Ratchet and Clank" on the PS2 when this game came close to release. I'd pre-ordered it ahead of time, because the series really intrigued me and I wanted to support the reboot since I grew up with Insomniac (since the Spyro days) and they make really great games. Finished the first game, loved it, and then picked up the reboot, and it's just as great, if not better than the original!

    First thing's first, the game looks GORGEOUS on the PS4. The amount of detail this game has, especially in areas like Metropolis, is astounding. The controls are fluid and really easy to get used to as well. While Ratchet felt a little slow in the first game, he's a little more speedy here. If I ever fell off a ledge, I was the one to blame for bonehead moves, it was never the controls or Ratchet's traction or anything like that. Clank feels good to control in his segments too; again, he was a little slow in the original game, but it feels good to control him here.

    The structure of this game is very similar to the original, but there are new elements that weren't in the original game that will keep veterans on their toes and newcomers entertained. The characters are all likable, even the ones that are going to be in the upcoming film. They're introduced here so that we get to know them; that way, when we see the movie, we'll know who they are, which is a really good move in my opinion.

    The self-referential humor is actually really great; most of the characters are aware they're in a game (and a reboot, at that), and the jokes that come from that are pretty funny. There are even some other jokes that serve as subtle references/cheeky nods to the first game, like the mechanic from the planet Novalis covering up his -ahem- "plumber's crack," which is something Ratchet made fun of in the first game. Little references like that are great.

    All in all, I am so glad Insomniac decided to return to this franchise and reboot it for today's generation of gamers. It, like many well-done reboots, serves to bring in newcomers to check out the series while satisfying long-time veterans, and as a veteran of only the first game in the series, I for one have to say Insomniac did a phenomenal job with this game. Seeing as the big platforming icons like Crash, Spyro, Sly Cooper, and others haven't been around for quite some time, this game serves as the ultimate example of "You can in fact return to an old platforming franchise and revitalize it for the current generation of gamers and it WILL sell." Of course, if you return to an old franchise like the ones I mentioned, you'd have to handle a new game in their series right, or else, well...let "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" be an example of what happens when you DON'T handle a new game in an old franchise with care. It's obviously not a platformer, but it's a poor excuse of a skating game in general, let alone a THPS game. But returning to my original point, this "Ratchet and Clank" reboot is amazing, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who's a 3D plaformer junky, whether you know the franchise or not. Hmmm, with this game in mind, maybe later down the road we can possibly get a new Spyro platforming game in 2018 for the purple dragon's 20th anniversary? Wink wink, nudge nudge?    … Expand

    If you love ratchet and clank then this is a must buy. Don't see this as a HD remake, the game is completely new re-imagine of the first Ratchet game. The game is absolutely stunning to look at, looks like a pixar movie.
    The are familiar planets and characters but they all have been tweaked for the better in my opinion. Could take you even more if you backtrack to collect all the stuff, if not then there is new game+ called challenge mode where your weapons and bolts carry over.

    Very rarely do I play a game all day long... but that's what happened with this one. This game has a ton of personality, weapons, upgrades, tactics, and level variation. The attention to detail is astounding, from game play to level design to the graphics/assets. Incredible for exploration as well, with lots of secrets you have to hunt around for.

    Ratchet & Clank is amazing game ever i playing.. beautiful graphic, great gameplay and story is great.. Ratchet is cute and Clank is also cute too. i don't understand why people rate this game very lower like 3 to less but they probably are troller on this game. i hope Insomniac Devs will make sequel game for Ratchet & Clank on ps4 soon as possible ..     One of the best Ratchet and Clank games to date. Ratchet and Clank on the PS4 is simply a masterpiece. Bright, beautiful graphics, with great particle effects, and varied environments. This game looks amazing, every time I travel to the new planet I am sent into a state of Nostalgia, and mouth watering admiration. Each planet is incredibly varied, both in terms of detail, and gameplayOne of the best Ratchet and Clank games to date. Ratchet and Clank on the PS4 is simply a masterpiece. Bright, beautiful graphics, with great particle effects, and varied environments. This game looks amazing, every time I travel to the new planet I am sent into a state of Nostalgia, and mouth watering admiration. Each planet is incredibly varied, both in terms of detail, and gameplay scenarios. Gameplay is fresh and exciting, with tons of weapons old and new. My personal favorite weapon is the pixelizer. Which turns enemies into 8 bit sprites, while making game over noises and turning them 2D. The dialogue is funny, clever, and the game manages to tell an interesting new story, even though it is a re imagining of the first game. To sum it up this is a game every single Playstation 4 owner should have. Whether you are a fan of the series or a newcomer, if you are young or old, this game is amazing. This game shows that you do not need any of the modern game mechanics such as micro transactions and what not to have an outstanding game that fans will love. The graphics are absolutely stunning, the dialogue is very funny, and the game play is a breath of fresh air. This game staysOh. My. God. This game was incredible. As a die hard fan of the series, this is absolutely what I wanted.     The most fun game until I got Uncharted 4, it's literally a playable Pixar movie, the game is so valuable that if it was for $60 I would be totally fine with it.

    one of the best exclusive games for this generation(so far).It has great voice acting.It has great graphics.It has great weapons and gameplay.It has a great story and the fact that its being sold for £30 is a must have for anyone with a PS4.

    Great game for both existing and new fans of the series. Visuals are stunning, gameplay flows very nicely, with a good set of weapons available, along with a nice story based on the original game. My only downside is I wish the story was longer, however I still got a great amount of playtime with my value for money and with the challenge mode I can come back to it and start over with myGreat game for both existing and new fans of the series.     Fantastic, I haven't played a game like this in years. It's funny, well paced, and very fun. At the price there selling this game at ($40) it is a steal.

    I am on my third play through and am STILL having a blast! Awesome maps, sweet enemies, fair and amazing gameplay, the list goes on and on . AND it looks stunning! This is a must buy for PS4 for only $40

    La verdad es que en aquel entonces yo era fan de Jak & Daxter, empecé a jugar a esta saga porque siempre he sido muy plataformero. terminé por cogerle cariño y ahora con esta reedición asombrosa estoy disfrutando más incluso que antaño. Ver los efectos de las armas y los tornillos volar es una autentica delicia!

    I didn't think they'd be able to do it but Insomniac has exceeded all my expectations. They've managed to turn a classical game into a legendary one. The gameplay flows like butter, the writing is exceptional and the platforming wow!

    Do yourself a favour and just get this game. It's like being wrapped around a warm nostalgia blanket.

Как и все сонивские Эксклюзивы она просто идеально оптимизирована, игра в честных 1080P и 30фпс(но такие, что ты не ощущаешь что она в 30 идет,очень гладко),она очень быстро грузится(5 секунд примерно),круто переведена, переработано управление,Кому не нравилось в переизданиях, что не добавляют контента, вот сони решили ответить на этот вопрос. Новые Боссы, новое оружие, новые враги,планеты,повествоание сюжета тоже изменилось(хорошо написан, куча шуток, начало игры ломание 4 стены),игра начинается по другому, в игре сюжета больше чем в оригинальной игре и его дополнили(показали с другой стороны).Игра просто сделана с 0 просто переработано все, как за ремейк 11 из 10.Если у вас есть PS4, то не поиграть в Ratchet and Clank

    I needed this game so bad, I haven't played a platform game this great since crash bandicoot 3. The way the game looks and feels is just out of this world. There are some puzzles in it, which i always love in games, and had some giggles with those whitty jokes. Every cent of this game was totally worth it. Thanks Insomniac and Sony. It's a pure masterpiece.

    Game is very fun and you spend hours and hours playing it. It's good that kind of game consoles on Sony because today - nowadays - it's hard to find anything like that and good. Certainly they managed to get the whole essence of the previous games and put that game. I recommend for fans of this little hero and for those who like platform games.

    This game is a must buy for any fan of the series. Fantastic graphics, smooth controls, great atmosphere. Ratchet and Clank is a top notch platformer plain and simple.

I wasn't able to get everything my first run through with the game, although on my second run through I did. You just need to search carefully to find everything. The sound in this game puts the player in the mood that this is going to be a great game, and gives the players who already played this series a lot of nostalgia. Granted that there r some flaws here and there but they are MINIMAL that nobody will even recognize them because they r not a burden in the game. There is EXCELLENT value here guys, being a $40 price tag this is an instant buy no doubt!… Expand

    This game is one of the few games I've played recently where I can say it's just flat out *fun*. While there technically isn't much replay value, I'm on my third play through and still loving every second of it. So far it is easily my favourite game of the PS4.

The story is an amazing, fun-filled, witty little tale which keeps you entertained from start to finish. The characters are well written with bits of nostalgic nerd humour present in almost all of them.     Story/Characters -
    In my opinion this was the most improved upon aspect. While the original games story wasn't bad it was super bare bones. The characters (at least the ones that get screen time) are way more likable and relateable now, hell I even liked Qwark and I hated him in the original, yeah he got more likable in later games but in the first one he was just annoying. The story also feels more grand and epic than in the original. Seriously I cannot stress how well this was handled, they kept just enough the same to make it feel familiar but added just enough to make it feel new. Honestly I would like to see this re-imagined story continued with more games but we'll just have to wait and see on that one.

    Visuals/Sound -
    I know others have pointed this out a lot already but my god, the visuals in this game are STUNNING, it seriously feels like I am playing a CG film from Pixar. That is how good this game looks, yeah its not hyper realistic but its not meant to be and as far as cartoony looking games go this is easily the best looking I have EVER seen. The sound effects are all really well done and the music is super fun and catchy as well.

    Gameplay -
    Honestly this is the most fun I have ever had with a Ratchet and Clank game. It brought back some classic elements and blended them together with more modern ones (like raritanium upgrades) to make what I honestly feel like is the best playing Ratchet and Clank game so far. Not to mention new fun systems like Holocard collecting. The weapons, both returning and brand new, are all really fun. One of my favorites is the Pixelizer which turned enemies into highly detailed 2-D sprites and when they die they fall apart into a pile of Pixels, the amount of work that must have went into that one weapon is impressive. The Groovitron is also really fun as always ;) Movement (running, jumping, and thrusting) all feels really smooth and natural. The controls just in general are super responsive.

    Verdict -
    This game is AMAZING. Seriously it is pretty much perfect and I would honestly love to see them give this same treatment to Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal. The Story is vastly improved over the original, the Visuals are absolutely jaw dropping, and the Gameplay is (in my opinion) the best in the series yet. They weren't kidding when they said this isn't a remake, its a re-imagining, because this blows the original out of the water in every aspect. If you are a Ratchet and Clank fan or even just someone who wants a Nintendo quality E rated game on your PS4 then you NEED to pick this up.    … Expand

    It really is amazing, as a fan of the series I am glad to have its return on the ps4. The graphics are great, and really show the difference of the ps3 and ps4. The gameplay is not innovative, but highly refined from the previous ratchets, controls are alot better. And for a 40$ AAA game, its definitely worth it!

    One of the best exclusive ang just a game which came out in April 2016 and which I consider to be one of the most decent game released for PS4. First of all, I liked the style, the gameplay, the music, etc. Really, it feels fresh if you are not familiar with Ratchet and Clanck franchise. There's no doubt that you will dislike it.

    I have never played another game in the series but decided to pick this up and I have to say I was not disappointed. The visuals are amazing, the gameplay far exceeded my expectations, the story and narration both top notch. I would really have to dig deep to find anything negative to say about this game.

    As a newcomer to the Ratchet and Clank series, this immersive platformer has proven substantial, addictive and a lot of fun. The large environments are a treat for the eyes with the game's beautiful graphics engine, the puzzles are challenging and the gadget and gun based combat is kept fresh with exciting upgrades and customisation.

    Game is super fun, funny and absolutely gorgeous with pixar level graphics. I havent seen anything like this in any other game. A perfect reboot to one of the best franchises on playstation.

    I'd never played any of the original titles, so I can say that "nostalgia" factor is out of my opinion.

    This game surprised me. it has many of the aspects that most (if not all) the games in this genre have lost. It's been a while that I found an Adventure/Platform game so high in quality, immersing, diverse, funny and fast-based.

    The genre is revived with this one.

    An amazing reboot and a great throwback. One of the few modern console games that I adore and really feels like my childhood again. It was new enough that it felt fresh but the mechanics, the story and the quirky features such as collecting bolts and unlocking new masks/heads all made it feel like a real old school game. On top of it all it is a brilliantly looking game.

    The only real negative I can really think of is the boring chase instances when playing as Clank but I believe there are only two levels which have this feature so it really is not a big issue. Other than that I cannot fault the game in any way, it has to be one of the best, if not the best remake of an old school game. It really is like playing a PS2 game again, but modern, with smoother mechanics, a nice polish and reasonable collision. Hopefully more companies will follow suit and not necessarily remake old games but release games with that old school PS2 feel    … Expand

    Before I react to this, i wanna say this, Ratchet and clank deserves to be a good game for the playstation 4. it proves that there's life on this lombax and his robotic pal...
    they should also piut this game on the psvita...
    this game is fun and a must have for every playstation 4 gamers...

    Ratchet & Clank looks and plays as well as it ever has. Fans will enjoy the nostalgic journey through familiar planets, while newcomers will appreciate the chaotic and creative weaponry. But for the ninth game in a franchise that built its name on unique weapons, it’s a shame that the arsenal just coasts on fan-favorites. Insomniac played it safe.

    Insomniac Games did not just remake this classic platformer. They boldly bombarded it with ideas and then rebuilt it pixel by pixel using methods unknown 13 years ago. The result is magnificent. [06/2016, p.50]
