    Good to see a colorful game on PS4 and with an astonishing technical level. Insomniac prove their technical skill if it was necessary. If only Crash could come back to Sony and being developed by Insomniac .

    This game is a joy to play. Graphics are very nice and gameplay is class. Unfortunately it's way too short for its price tag. Definitely worth a purchase if you can pick it up on the cheap.

    Despite being a huge Jak and Daxter fan back in the day, this was my first Ratchet and Clank game. I found it to be a welcome return to the classic action platforming genre. Quite frankly, a joy to experience.

    Where I feel this game falls short of being a 10/10 in my books is the cut scenes. While fully animated cut scenes are top notch, in game cut scenes, such as when characters are talking, leave me a bit underwhelmed. Outside of the fully animated cut scenes, the characters' expressions look odd, and sometimes non existent. Ratchet and Clank is all about the characters, so when I see characters like Ratchet and Skid McMarx with somewhat... iffy expressions, it was very noticeable to me. Bosses are fun, story is good, filled with that special kind of humor that has always been a signature of the series.     Otro juegazo mas de Insomniac Games.

    Este Ratchet and Clank es una maravilla, nos sitúa en el primer juego de la saga que comenzó en la 6º generación de consolas, mas concreta mente en la PS2, una gloriosa época para los acción plataformas en 3D. El juego es continuista en todos los aspectos jugables de la saga, introduciendo al juego original las mecánicas que se vieron en los de    Otro juegazo mas de Insomniac Games.

    Este Ratchet and Clank es una maravilla, nos sitúa en el primer juego de la saga que comenzó en la 6º generación de consolas, mas concreta mente en la PS2, una gloriosa época para los acción plataformas en 3D.

    El juego es continuista en todos los aspectos jugables de la saga, introduciendo al juego original las mecánicas que se vieron en los de PS3, que hace que el juego gane en profundidad.

    El sistema de armas y mejoras tiene una extensa profundidad, cada arma tiene su árbol de mejoras para ir las consiguiendo con el transcurso del juego. Los coleccionables tanto como tarjetas, gitones o artilugios los iremos encontrando con el transcurso del juego, algunos de ellos obligados para continuar con la historia y otros algo mas ocultos que los podremos conseguir mas adelante.

    En cuanto a las batallas contra jefes, hay que destacar el trabajo artístico de esta obra, Insomniac a dado mucho mimo a este apartado del juego, tanto el diseño de personajes como de niveles, una experiencia inmersa desde el primer momento.

    Jugablemente es una gozada tomar el control de Ratchet y ponerse a disparar a los enemigos como un loco, los efectos de iluminación y sonoros hacen que sea increíble.

    En conclusión, toda persona que tenga una PS4 no se puede perder este titulo de gran calidad.    … Expand

    The game takes the best elements from the later games in the franchise, such as the jet-pack, combat mechanics, upgrade system, and tighter controls, and it feels fantastic to run around killing enemies. The game's problems start to show, however, when you realize that some of the level designs haven't matured along with the mechanics, as some of the levels and enemy designs are very similar to how they were inside the original game. The story also feels quite a bit weaker and disjointed since it's trying to tie-in to the story of the movie. A lot of Ratchet and Clank fans might be polarized by a lot of the levels and more adult dialogue that they cut out. It's especially jarring to have a Ratchet and Clank game without arenas and skill points, two major staples of later games in the franchise that are conspicuously absent here.

    Overall, however, this is still an extremely fun game and is better than a lot of the AAA games that have been coming out recently. While it's not the best in the series, this game does show that Ratchet and Clank can still be relevant in this age of video game realism and maturity.    … Expand

    Muy divertido, aunque me gusta mas la versión de playstation 2, pero igual este es un buen remake de la saga. Si tienes Playstation 4 y te gustan los juegos de plataformas, no dudes en adquirirlo :)

    R&C is a blast, it's a light hearted, fun, platform shooter. It doesn't take itself seriously, and provides great comedy and satire in places.

    It's a great looking game, colourful and each planet is varied. Lots of over-the-top weapons. Insomniac Games have also added a number of different sequences, so the game never feels dull, there's always something to keep you engaged, running    R&C is a blast, it's a light hearted, fun, platform shooter. It doesn't take itself seriously, and provides great comedy and satire in places.

    The script is playful and you'll find yourself smiling as you play this game. A great game for everyone.     Ratchet & Clank lucen de escandalo en Ps4, es un buen remake al que acompaña mucho el precio, os pongo mi caso, lo he comprado en Fnac, por 38€ y me han regalado dos entradas de cine para ver la pelicula cuando se estrene, y a mi me parece que he acertado con la compra, sin duda.

    El juego es super colorido, tiene un apartado de sonido bueno, aunque algo justito en cuanto a musica en la    Ratchet & Clank lucen de escandalo en Ps4, es un buen remake al que acompaña mucho el precio, os pongo mi caso, lo he comprado en Fnac, por 38€ y me han regalado dos entradas de cine para ver la pelicula cuando se estrene, y a mi me parece que he acertado con la compra, sin duda.

    El juego es super colorido, tiene un apartado de sonido bueno, aunque algo justito en cuanto a musica en la accion, mas bien me ha dado la sensacion de pasar muy desapercibida, casi ni sabes que esta sonando. Eso si, esta muy bien implementada en escenas como por ejemplo cuando aterrizas en un nuevo planeta, en cinematicas, etc, pero ya os digo que en cuanto a la accion y exploracion de planetas, no sabeis casi ni que esta sonando.

    El juego tiene muchisimas armas, muchas muy tronchantes, tiene un sistema de subida de nivel de las armas y otro sistema para mejorar las armas, bastante original por cierto este sistema de mejora.

    Las pocas fases de plataformas son entretenidas, las fases con Clank es cierto que rompen el ritmo del juego en cuanto a accion, pero tambien te hace cambiar el chip y calentarte un poco el tarro y eso es bueno, ahora donde no me gusta tanto es con los puzzles de los lasers, los odio. :(

    En cuanto a nivel tecnico, no hay mucho que decir, el juego luce muy bien, se mueve todo muy suave, apenas hay tirones de Fps, realmente es muy raro topar con alguno, creo que solo en dos ocasiones contadas me ha pasado y no me ha afectado a la experiencia de juego, es decir se juega muy bien.

    Me ha parecido un juego excelente, muy entretenido, con un sentido del humor buenisimo, algo infantil si, pero sigue siendo bueno. Un juego con variacion, no siempre estas pegando tiros, tienes que resolver puzzles y explorar planetas para conseguir objetivos secundarios, hay coleccionables, etc, es decir, que es muy rejugable, por dificultad y trofeos.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Es un gran juego. Tiene unos gráficos buenos y un sonido normalillo. Es un juego de acción muy bueno y con un narrador que es el superheroe que se ve al principio del videojuego. Una de las cosas que falla es a la hora de mejorar tus armas. Lo primero, es que, es un poco difícil encontrar fragmentos de titanita (debído a su escaces), que son los fragmento con los que podemos mejorar las armas o los acompañantes. Y lo segundo es que las mejoras no son nada del otro mundo. Cuesta un poco poder mejorarlas y no dan apenas beneficios al arma o acompañante al que mejoramos.
    Luego, los objetivos secundarios son escasos y apenas hay easter egg; aunque yo no le doy mucha importancia, lo quise comentar.
    También me gustaria destacar las cartas que hay de coleccionables, y que si tienes algunas repetidas, puedas cambiarla por otra que tú no tengas. Eso sí, por cada 5 cartas te dan 1. La verdad es que yo, no hubiera organizado de esta manera el tema de estas cartas, no se como, pero seguro de que así no.
    Simplemente le di un ocho por la mala personalización de armas (es una opinión mía que va sin ánimos de ofender a los fans de juego). Esto de la mala personalización de armas también incluye la haber tan pocos fragmento de titanita. Y también por la manera de organizar el tema de las cartas.    … Expand

    Este juego esta basado en una película, que a la vez es un reboot del primer juego. Si bien, esa idea no me parecía mala, puesto que el primer juego en mi opinión, era el que mejor historia tenia y viendo los gráficos en gameplays me recordaban mucho a una película de pixar, la historia de la película era bastante mala. Si vas a hacer un reboot, procura que tenga una muy buena trama queEste juego esta basado en una película, que a la vez es un reboot del primer juego. Si bien, esa idea no me parecía mala, puesto que el primer juego en mi opinión, era el que mejor historia tenia y viendo los gráficos en gameplays me recordaban mucho a una película de pixar, la historia de la película era bastante mala. Si vas a hacer un reboot, procura que tenga una muy buena trama que valga la pena! Sinceramente, no se por que no dejan la jugabilidad con Ratchet solamente... Es lo mejor que siempre ofreció la saga! La jugabilidad con Ratchet en este juego, al igual que los otros, esta super pulida. Los controles son cómodos y me gusta el nuevo sistema de mejoras con raritanio, al igual que los desbloqueables con guitones dorados, sin embargo, siento que la saga se esta tornando algo repetitiva, teniendo en cuenta que los problemas de los juegos anteriores siguen estando, como los minijuegos o secciones de Clank aburridas, una banda sonora olvidable y historia mala. Ademas este juego tiene algunas carencias inexplicables como el no poder adquirir armaduras o menos armas a comparación de anteriores juegos de la saga.
    A pesar de haber dicho muchos fallos, este juego me encanta, y definitivamente esta a la altura de la trilogia original, y en algunas cosas si la supera.    … Expand

    Sony is making a movie based on the Ratchet & Clank series and with that, they're making a game based on the movie based on the series and the game's getting released first to gamers overall, fans of the Ratchet & Clank series, and moviegoers to sneak for upcoming footage of the Ratchet & Clank movie. This is absolute genius from Sony. I hope the movie can be as great as the video game.

    I've never played "Ratchet and Clank" on past gen consoles. Also I'm not a action games lover, however, I've had a few very pleasant hours with this game. Game has pretty nice visual style and quite interesting story. Mechanics are not very difficult, there are lots of fun ways to destroy your enemies.
    There are two moments that hold me to give 10 points to this game: overpowered final    I've never played "Ratchet and Clank" on past gen consoles. Also I'm not a action games lover, however, I've had a few very pleasant hours with this game. Game has pretty nice visual style and quite interesting story. Mechanics are not very difficult, there are lots of fun ways to destroy your enemies.

    I can honestly say I literally kept my ps4 for this game alone, and it delivered. Cannot recommend it enough. Feel like i am replaying my childhood. Only slight criticism is the graphics but it is a console game after all. Game play is awesome which makes up for this.

    Este es el tipo de juego inprescindible para cualquier jugador de PS4. Este Remake esta muy bien hecho en cuanto a graficos y en cuanto a jugabilidad. Es una gran oportunidad para probar el Ratchet And Clank si nunca lo probaste. Un exclusivo importante para PS4.

    Having only played the original Ratchet & Clank and then recently watching all the cutscenes for the rest of the franchise on Youtube, I felt a special connection to this game. As I played through each planet I felt a sense of familiarity, yet at the same time my reasons for traveling to them all and the story I experienced were completely changed for the better. Not only did the story feel more organic, it better set up for the overall lore for their universe they would expand upon in later games with references to the Zoni, showing Quark was more dumb than bad, and even directly including Dr. Nefarious into the plot. Even the final level and villain were changed up which makes the game truly stand out as a new experience. This game also benefits from Insomniac's years of trial and error to find a place for this franchise beyond being a simple platformer, so the game is super fun to play with the weapons feeling very good to use and the mechanics being refined. Overall whether you're a returning fan, a new player, or somewhere in the middle like me, this game really does hit all the right buttons and I very much recommend it.… Expand

    * Too short
    * Too small/short/linear maps
    * Hoverboard races have cheating AI (rubber-banding)

    Overlooking the flaws, the gameplay is great and the graphics are awesome.

    In fairness I only played this 5 years after release.
    Was expecting a game just for kids but turned out to be decent.

    Funny and fun with good action and some wacky weapons. Narration gimmick is clever and sometime hilarious. There were a few points points that took several attempts to get through (damn swimming section!) which can really take you out of a light hearted adventure like this, but overall the difficulty was just about right.

    If you love ratchet and clank then this is a must buy. Don't see this as a HD remake, the game is completely new re-imagine of the first Ratchet game. The game is absolutely stunning to look at, looks like a pixar movie.

    I love Ratchet & Clank games and i love this remake, but really would love to see remake of R&C3 soo much more than 1. I could write same thing that everybody else, that this game has awesome graphics, great weapons, excellent gameplay but for what purpose? Just do Yourself a favour and try it out Yourself.

    There's one thing I really love about this game - it's the difficulty level. I'm playing on hard, and it feels like hard. Man, this game's good!

    I loved the game from beginning to end. The graphics are gorgeous and gameplay is very fluent. frame rate and frame pacing is very stable. the story is funny , pretty straight forward and predictable but great nonetheless The pricing of the game was also fantastic. This is one of those games that every ps4 owner should add to his game collection.

    La verdad es que en aquel entonces yo era fan de Jak & Daxter, empecé a jugar a esta saga porque siempre he sido muy plataformero. terminé por cogerle cariño y ahora con esta reedición asombrosa estoy disfrutando más incluso que antaño. Ver los efectos de las armas y los tornillos volar es una autentica delicia!

    I needed this game so bad, I haven't played a platform game this great since crash bandicoot 3. The way the game looks and feels is just out of this world. There are some puzzles in it, which i always love in games, and had some giggles with those whitty jokes. Every cent of this game was totally worth it. Thanks Insomniac and Sony. It's a pure masterpiece.

    This is the first complete game that I enjoyed on my PS4.

    And I have to say that it will be very difficult to get over this game.

    This game reached my standards on how a Plataformer/action game should be. Only other game gave me this lots of fun, and of course that game was Sunset Overdrive.

    Un juego divertido y frenético, me lo platine en 4 días y tiene linda jugabilidad, una historia divertida y grandes personajes. Los niveles están muy bien construidos y la diversidad de armas también.
    Se nota que tiene un lore muy grande, me gustaría haberlo visto más ampliado.

Even though being already an adult for more than a while, I was really excited about the PS4 debut and was not disappointed in the least. The game is a masterpiece with beautiful, colorful graphics and fantastic gameplay, story and dialogues, making it very difficult to put the controller down.     To start, the gameplay is fantastic. The controls are solid, the movement feels great, and the star of the games are the weapons. There are so many different kinds that the game never feels boring, plus there is an extensive upgrade system that allows you to constantly be improving your favorite weapons. There are also lots of variety in the enemies and level design, as nothing is truly the same.

    There are puzzle sections with Clank that are brief but fun along with some secrets hidden around in the world that are a joy to find. The only bad thing about the gameplay is the hacking mini game, which is really boring but thankfully it isn't often.

    The game is also beautiful looking as well. There isn't much about the game that looks bad, it really is an amazing looking game. 60FPS would have been nice, but I never really noticed it being in 30fps.

    The only real downside is some of the story. It's simple which is fine, and some of the humor and characters work, but when the humor misses the mark it REALLY misses the mark. Some of it is the worst I have heard, partly because of the jokes but also because of the delivery. Despite that, Ratchet, Clank and the Captain are all cool characters that I can't wait to see more of.

    There is also a New Game + mode which allows you to further upgrade your weapons, upgrade Ratchet's health and allows you face some new enemies at a higher challenge.

    This is really a must have for any PS4 owner out there. It is a relatively cheap game and there isn't any DLC or Microtransactions. You would be hard pressed to not at least partially enjoy this game.    … Expand

Lots of plattforming, jump and run beat em up and shooting elements in it. Very nice structured quests wich send you to the next planets when competed. The Graphics are absolutly gorgeus! Set in a world that doesn't take itself seriously at all, although sometimes it comes across as a bit cringey.     Ratchet and Clank is an exceptionally solid action and platforming game. A decade of iteration carries over into the camera controls, spacing and reliable character behaviors. Using Ratchet to carve a path of destruction through droves of enemies has never felt so seamless and comfortable. Likewise the level design is more far more accommodating to dynamic open combat than ever before, with smartly applied cover and vertical terrain. There is more opportunity to strategize and use your wits to plan ahead, which alleviates the long-time issue of feeling unfairly funneled into ambushes. The forethought that went into making every encounter feel balanced ensures this is the best moment-to-moment gameplay in a Ratchet and Clank game.

    Unfortunately, the narrative isn’t built on as strong of a foundation. The plot leans far too much on tropes from traditional adventure stories, while adding no unique exposition or character. For example, Ratchet in this rendition has no layers to his identity other than being an unstoppable engine of optimism. In contrast, the original Ratchet was actually quite smug. He could be sarcastic and even vindictive. Ratchet develops a good heart through the hero’s journey, but it was always tempered by interesting human flaws. This is why the new game feels so insubstantial in terms of storytelling, despite having countless beautifully crafted CG cutscenes.

    However, it is worth noting that the visual fidelity does benefit the overall product. Ratchet and Clank is one of the most attractive titles on Playstation 4. The asset detail is remarkable, regardless of its stylized appearance. Sophisticated lighting and reflections are implemented with painstaking precision, adding an unprecedented level of believability to the experience. Plus how the engine handles rendering so many enemies and explosions with minimal throttling is genuinely impressive. The only substantial criticisms to be lobbed at the technology is the annoyingly constant need for disguised loading and sub-optimal frame rate. Ratchet and Clank stays mostly locked at 30 frames per second, but can occasionally drop below 20 when scenes become absurdly busy. It is a shame Insomniac didn’t try for 60 frames per second, but is understandable given the sheer spectacle.

    Really there isn’t much to improve for the inevitable sequel. The writing certainly needs more depth, particularly to keep adults engaged. Similarly, the soundtrack should lean less on Hollywood bombast for its inspiration. Older Ratchet and Clanks had melodic and memorable tracks, some of which are still revered by the fanbase to this day. Insomniac simply needs to embrace more of the inherent weirdness of science fiction. Ratchet and Clank is a jewel to play and behold, yet it could stand to be a more substantial narrative experience like its predecessors.    … Expand

    I'd never played any of the original titles, so I can say that "nostalgia" factor is out of my opinion.

    This game surprised me. it has many of the aspects that most (if not all) the games in this genre have lost. It's been a while that I found an Adventure/Platform game so high in quality, immersing, diverse, funny and fast-based.

    The genre is revived with this one.

    An amazing reboot and a great throwback. One of the few modern console games that I adore and really feels like my childhood again. It was new enough that it felt fresh but the mechanics, the story and the quirky features such as collecting bolts and unlocking new masks/heads all made it feel like a real old school game.     The only real negative I can really think of is the boring chase instances when playing as Clank but I believe there are only two levels which have this feature so it really is not a big issue. Other than that I cannot fault the game in any way, it has to be one of the best, if not the best remake of an old school game. It really is like playing a PS2 game again, but modern, with smoother mechanics, a nice polish and reasonable collision. Hopefully more companies will follow suit and not necessarily remake old games but release games with that old school PS2 feel    … Expand

    Ratchet and Clank is very well written, funny, and a whole lot of fun. I got it for free from Playstation Plus and was very happy with it. I'm sure it's cheap now too so if you missed the free giveaway it's worth the few bucks that it sells for. It's 10 hours well spent. So it's a little on the short side, but I loved every minute of it.

    Pretty good. Graphically I expected more for 30FPS, and some aspects aren't actually as good as the original was, but still pretty good.

    Would hope for some PS3 ratchet and clank remasters of this level of quality. Either that or a real PS4 ratchet and clank.

    Just a fun game to play. I had never played any games in the series and enjoyed this game throughout.

    Pros:
    - Plenty of weapons that were fun to use and experiment with
    - Clank's puzzles were well done
    - Enjoyable story and made me laugh some

    Cons:
    - While the weapons were cool the combat felt ancient
    - Some of the track racing and other unique parts could be frustrating

    Graphics 10. Gameplay 9. Art style 9. Reminds me of my youth. Its funny. Has around a 8 hour campaign and can be replayed to unlock guns and weapons. Truly unique. I just clocked Titanfall 2 and this game is better.

    This game is what every remake should be! The graphics jump is just gorgeous! I hope this sets an example for all the other developers out there instead of just remastering the same exact game and re-releasing it.
    When we ask for a remake this is the prime example of what we're looking for.

    Es un reboot de la saga bastante bueno, con algunas alteraciones de la historia que hacen que sea nostalgico y nuevo al mismo tiempo para quienes disfrutamos de la obra original de PS2, tanto si eres nuevo en la saga como si no, lo podrás disfrutar.

    Got this game free on PS plus a while ago and i just recently downloaded it an started playing it, and freaking enjoy it, i did the story 3 times and got the platinum trophy, i finished this game under 2 days ( 12 hours each day) and still want to keep playing because this game is pretty fun.

    Simple but rich and beautiful world, with light story and characters.
    As I found out later, there is also a cartoon about this universe, so in total, this is a large well-developed world, which is interesting to dive into, as if it is a video format, or a game format.     A few words about gameplay - it is simple to imagine what to expect from games like this. Jumps, punches, shots, sort of puzzles - all simple and most common components. But in this game all this simplicity in the sum with world beaty give us such a great combo, that you just cannot not like the game.
    Another great part of game - cards and all other collectables. If you are a person who likes such thing, you will like the collecting of this game too.
    One of the craziest things also - weapon, its diversity and opportunity of leveling up. It made here better than a lot of other (more hardcore) games.
    So, if I ever want to play gmae like this, I will play this one.    … Expand

    Buen Juego, con una jugabilidad bastante divertida y con bastantes posibilidades para el combate lo cual lo hace variado. La historia está interesante aunque bastante corta para mi gusto, y un poco simple, pecando con un poco de clichés. Pero bastante recomendado para pasar un buen rato y divertirse.

    Fun, well executed, colorful game. The mechanics is pretty simple, so is shooting - which sometimes leads to a bit hard aiming. Overall, the graphics are great, gameplay very entertaining. I have completed it with all side-missions in around 11-12h.

    Playing the game in 2020 and just completed it today. Its a fun fun game it has no boring moments. Wonderful graphics, good character and nice story. The gameplay mechanics is a simple hack and slash with a simple progression system just enough for the game's short length. What i dont like is its outdated battle mechanics where in the hit animation to enemy regardless if you are using aPlaying the game in 2020 and just completed it today. Its a fun fun game it has no boring moments. Wonderful graphics, good character and nice story. The gameplay mechanics is a simple hack and slash with a simple progression system just enough for the game's short length. What i dont like is its outdated battle mechanics where in the hit animation to enemy regardless if you are using a flamethrower, a rocket launcher or a gun its all the same making its various weapon option less immersive and exciting. Still good though. I scored it fair 8 because in spite of its shortcomings and its short length, its still a fun game. Its difficult for a normal mode im not sure if kids can finish this game.… Expand

    Вполне себе добротная адвенчура, с широким ассортиментом оружия и возможностью его прокачать. Игра конечно очень детская, но на один раз сойдет.

Понравилась комбинация пострелушкк из самых разных стволов вкупе с платформингом в открытом мире.     Когда думал что говно, а оказалась конфента. Взял вторую часть по предзаказу, такую серию я поддерживаю, и верю в хорошие игры в будущем, уже на на 8, а на 9, посмотрим, что будет дальше.

    Ratchet & Clank looks and plays as well as it ever has. Fans will enjoy the nostalgic journey through familiar planets, while newcomers will appreciate the chaotic and creative weaponry. But for the ninth game in a franchise that built its name on unique weapons, it’s a shame that the arsenal just coasts on fan-favorites. Insomniac played it safe.
