Aug 30, 2015The lack of content is an issue and some of the visuals and level design is downright poor, but this throwback to mid-tier Japanese video game development provides one of the year’s most pleasant surprises and a satisfying alternative to the collection of known quantities coming our way in the months to come.

Aug 27, 2015Some people might find it hard to understand that this is actually a good game, as long as you know what you're buying. If you do, Onechanbara Z2 won't disappoint you.
-
Sep 10, 2015Zombies, katanas and sexy fighters. Onechanbara Z2 Chaos is the best episode of the series... but it´s a repetitive hack´n slash with poor graphics. Only the Onechanbara fans will enjoy it.
-
Sep 10, 2015Onechanbara Z2: Chaos is a relatively stock standard Japanese fighting game with lots of virtual flesh.
-
Sep 21, 2015Onechanbara Z2: Chaos is an enjoyable, but weird and deeply flawed game. Overall it feels a lot like a budget game, the concept of which unfortunately had more potential than its eventual execution.
-
Aug 28, 2015Onechanbara Z2: Chaos never really forgets where it came from. As a result, it's mired in some pretty simplisitic gameplay and storytelling. If you're a fan of the series, then it's worth checking out. Otherwise, you're better served by games like Devil May Cry.
-
Jul 28, 2015Onechanbara Z2: Chaos promises two things: fan service and zombie killing. It delivers on that but not much else. XSEED's lively translation and the sheer fun of zombie killing make it an enjoyable enough romp, but low production values and repetitive gameplay really drag it down.
-
Jul 24, 2015Confusing story-line leaves you muddled, though there's plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and entertaining combat to enjoy amidst the head-noddingly cool soundtrack.
-
Sep 4, 2015Onechanbara Z2 Chaos owes almost everything on her sexy fighters. While touching a pass-fetched sufficiently, is a title too immature to be recommended without reservation.
-
Sep 4, 2015Low price, low pretension. Brainless history, but not a bad hack and slash. Maybe silly, need to play in hard level to take advantage of his combat and possibilities.
-
Aug 31, 2015I can clearly say I had fun with Onechanbara Z2: Chaos, because in the end, it just manages to bring shameless adult fun with a slap of fan service, but even though I liked my short time with the game, it clearly needs work on its issues to bring a Onechanbara game that is more than just a mediocre game with deep, stylish combat to butter up the overall package.
-
Aug 28, 2015It is fun but it is not always easy on the eyes and in terms of gameplay as thin as the next supermodel.
-
Aug 23, 2015A brainless slasher partially saved by a handful of good ideas and cathartic combat.
-
Aug 17, 2015Onechanbara Z2: Chaos doesn't transcend in the genre. After several titles, the franchise remains faithful to its indie roots. 100% focused on girls killing zombies in sexy outfits with a solid soundtrack, it happens to be grey and monotonous in other aspects like gameplay and level design.
-
Aug 12, 2015Onechanbara Z2: Chaos has tons of fan-service, but it's kinda fun. Despite being messy and hard to grasp, the combat system is deep and dynamic, and grants tons of fun and experimentation. The graphics and the technical side of the game are quite rough though.
-
Aug 6, 2015With the amount of detail put into the game, dynamic cast of characters, superb voice acting, and addicting soundtrack that’s sure to put anyone in a zombie slaying mood, Onechanbara Z2: Chaos can be enjoyable beyond the very two things it feeds off of.
-
Aug 5, 2015Chaos brings the most complete experience in the series with its first US release in six years, but is still held back by the repetitive gameplay and dull environments that prevent it from being a fully satisfying experience.
-
Aug 4, 2015Onechanbara Z2: Chaos is certainly unique. There isn’t much like it, both in terms of content and…well other assets.
-
Sep 14, 2015Onechanbara Z2: Chaos is a low budget game without any ambition of being great, and everything here is just an excuse to show girls using bikinis and katanas to kill monsters. The combat system is really fun if you have patience to unlock the hardest modes, but overall, is not very good.
-
Sep 3, 2015Onechanbara Z2: Chaos is the most comprehensive and polished episode of the entire (and rather puckish) franchise. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean that it's something we can recommend, unless you find it on sale.
-
Jul 23, 2015Onechanbara Z2: Chaos could have been decent, but it seems content to revel in mediocrity.
-
Sep 30, 2015Onechanbara Z2: Chaos is an easy, technically poor action game that that relies entirely on fan service.
-
Jul 28, 2015Although it boasts a fun and fluid combat system, Onechanbara Z2: Chaos is far too short on content and surprisingly bloated with superfluous ideas.
-
Jul 23, 2015It's not a totally brain dead release, but it's hard to recommend when it's launching on a console that already boasts several better action games.
-
Jul 21, 2015Onechanbara Z2: Chaos isn’t a terrible game, it just manages to be mediocre in almost every aspect.
