    Um bom game com excelente gráfico, história bacana, um pouco repetitivo, porém o jogo lhe causa uma imersão devido aos ambientes retratado no mesmo, que chega a ser viciante visitar todos os ambientes do game.

    Car combat and the car it self just gives you that power fantasy in this open world apocalypse. Unfortunately the story it’s self had a 3 dollar budget and that is all the developers and publishers fault . The busy work is fun . Great environmental story telling . But it holds your hand way more then most true gamers want . The game is dirt cheap now and with all the crap coming out this game shines like head lights in the vast desert. Do your self a favor and give this game a try . Not perfect and some very frustrating decisions made but the developers. The gameplay is to fun to ignore. And as we all know gameplay is king !!!!

    Some of the negative press reviews inspired me to write my own. Only 4 hours in so far, and while the game is a little rough around the edges, it is a LOT of fun to play, and that's what matters.

    There is definitely this more is better attitude in sandbox games such as AC: Black Flag, Far Cry, and Shadows of Mordor. This game follows the same principles, and there's a lot of repetition    Some of the negative press reviews inspired me to write my own.     There is definitely this more is better attitude in sandbox games such as AC: Black Flag, Far Cry, and Shadows of Mordor. This game follows the same principles, and there's a lot of repetition to searching each area, reducing enemy threat, and conquering bases. I can already see signs this game is slightly more tedious than the others, but I'm okay with that.

    Controls are a bit unusual. The jump is mapped on L2 which feels really weird and the jump is super anemic. There are a lot of objects that you should be able to climb up but can't. There are shipping containers all over the place, some partially submerged in sand, but the only way to get on them is if there is the magic yellow markers on one side. There is a context sensitive button to refuel your car while holding a gas can. However if you aren't inside the tiny space, you'll light the gas can on fire instead! Shooting defaults to the circle button, but that can be swapped with L1.

    Melee Combat is a bit simplistic and quite easy. Although in Assassins Creed, you can be surrounded by 5 or 6 guys and just wait until the "parry" icon to show up and counter indiscriminately. The parry is super forgiving and you are basically immune, making melee combat pretty trivial. There are guys that throw projectiles, and flame throwers etc, but overall, not challenging enough. And no difficulty level to adjust. On the plus side, it is super visceral and fun to crunch bones and perform extravagant finishing moves.

    Characters and dialog are okay -- not quite on par with the other games I've listed. Your sidekick can be a little too verbose and annoying, but he's a great sidekick.

    Vehicle combat is quite fun and visceral and probably the best balanced. Takes a little getting used to at first, but once you get your grapple, you can get in front of cars and grapple out the driver. Side and frontal rams are also super fun, as is grinding once you get that upgrade. Getting speed upgrades is valuable to keep up with the initially super speedy enemies.

    Directly comparing this game to Assassin's Creed Black Flag is best. You have an upgradable vehicle and hero. Assassin's Creed has far better level design and person combat. And pirate ship combat was also super fun, but I'd tip my hat to Mad Max for having a more fun vehicle combat system, because it's fast paced, and everywhere nearly all the time. Assassin's Creed was also a much more colorful game with varied locales. There's only limited things you can do with post-apocalyptic desert, though they have varied it quite a lot with lots of derelict ships, lighthouses, and shipping containers in a dried up sea area. Still early and haven't see other areas yet.

    Overall I think Black Flag was a slightly better game, but I do not regret getting Mad Max and am thoroughly enjoying it.    … Expand

    Finally my childhood dream came true. If you aren't into Mad Max there are probably better open world games. Focus on car combat and brawling with very little shooting.

    I wanted to like this game when i bought it, and I really do, I think they did a lot of good things with it. Driving around the waste land if fun and there is definite beauty in the barren wastelands. IThere is definitely a lot borrowed from other games in this game, primarily the combat and balloons used to uncover things on the map, etc.,. but overall i still find it a fun game toI wanted to like this game when i bought it, and I really do, I think they did a lot of good things with it.     My biggest problem with the game however is variety, as there are a lot of rinse and repeat things such as tearing down scarecrows, scavenging locations, or the worst of them all, minefields, if you choose to take them out to complete everything. I am about halfway through the game now and it has become quite a chore and would be nice if some different activities were brought up as a change of pace.

    Anyhow that being said I would say this game is about a 7.5 in my opinion, so I'll just round up to 8.    … Expand

    I am really having fun with this game, and have been surprised about the medicore reviews it has been getting. The game world is huge, but still filled with a variety of locations and environments to explore. I especially liked the mystery surrounding the Dunes and the nostalgia of seeing more remnants of the old world around Pink Eye's territory. Car combat is perhaps the highlight of the game. It is fast-paced and not too difficult to pick up. The story is interesting enough to keep you playing.

    However, the game is not perfect. It lacks the sheer insanity that Fury Road had.The game needs proper war parties, not just convoys of 8 cars max. It needs ways of jumping from car to car, sabotaging and hijacking as you go. Just Cause 2 had this done pretty well, so I'm not sure why it isn't present here. Also - the soundtrack. I know the game isn't a movie tie-in but it would have benefited greatly from the film's score. The music in the game isn't bad, but it adds little.    … Expand

    Well made atmosphere, only negative thing i say that missions are repetitive after some point but overall, worth the price. A good surprise from warner and interactive studios.

It introduces new and exciting game-play ideas and is a nice fresh of breath air in a market saturated with true, tried and tested ideas .

Места поживы можно было сократить, разминирование вообще убрать, пугала, уничтожение катапульт, автомобилей со взрывчаткой вообще не интересно выполнять, раскопка лома и прочее не нпсишные задания то же, все это очень сильно утомляет.     Лучше бы сосредоточились на классных лагерях, которые довольно интересно исследовать, если бы еще и лут был, кроме лома и построек, было б вообще отлично. Боевки не хватает разнообразия, стычкам и мини боссам вариативности.

    Есть ряд бесячих моментов, типа того где не отмечен желтой краской проход на вышку, или ночная миссия которая не берется днем, мне пришлось ждать час реального времени, пока солнце за горизонт не уйдет. В наличии пропадающая миссия Призраки прошлого, если ты вместо сюжета, зачисткой занялся и убежал, и пещерка с погребенной тачкой не откроется. Еще баг с непроходимым заданием по уничтожению машин со взрывчаткой все еще на месте, это с финальным патчем в игре 2015 года окей. Во второй половине игра немного подтормаживает, а шторм такой громкий что каждый раз приходится убавлять громкость.

    Но оценка все равно высокая, ибо атмосфера и клевые виды, интересное исследование и собирашки, боевка генерит зрелищные моменты (пока вы от них не устанете), кататься врезаться и взрывать машинки то же прикольно(пока вы и от этого не устанете), немного напоминает Кармагедон и Твистет Метал. Прокачка тоже мотивирует. Сюжет и персонажи колоритные.

    Вообщем не ожидал что на игру уйдет 80 часов. Думал будет что то похожее на Средеземье. Вообщем понравилось. 8 из 10.    … Expand

    This is a really solid and fun game. If you like open world games with lots of content and you liked the latest Mad Max movie you will almost definitely like this game. If you want a professional review that's on the money, check out IGN's review.

    Car combat has never been done better and every car you see you can drive. Explosions make the payoff of destroying your enemy oh so    I really, truly enjoyed this game. The early hours are a bit of a slog while you level up your max and the opus (Car). After getting used to the vehicle controls and the on-foot combat controls, exploring the devastated world of Mad Max becomes a joy.

    Car combat has never been done better and every car you see you can drive. Explosions make the payoff of destroying your enemy oh so sweet.

    The on-foot combat, while at first seems sluggish and clumsy becomes a brutal dance once you're used to the controls and level up Max a bit. I found myself attacking outposts just so I could watch the awesome animations of Max clothes-lining some fools.

    I've beaten the main story and am still wandering the wastes in search of that precious scrap. For what this game is going for now (Around $30) you really have no excuse not to try it. And even if you hate it at first, give it an hour or so to settle in. You wont regret it.

    One thing to note on the technical side. During certain driving sections I had some of the worst frame rate drops I've seen on the PS4. So much so that it affected gameplay. Only happened a handful of times, never had a hard crash like I've had on other open world games.    … Expand

If you liked the most recent of the Batman games you will very much enjoy this game unfortunately I believe that the game has suffered review wise as it has released the same day as Metal Gear 5 (which is fantastic) and many reviewers have compared the games which is unfair.     Even though I still haven't finished this game(constantly getting sidetracked but other gems) What I played so far about 60% in I really loved. The car action was fun! Combat was fun but sometimes the camera angles messed me up.     I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would. Better than Shadow of Mordor for me (which everyone compares it to). The fighting is repetitive and simple its true, but yet it is still strangely satisfying as many others have said.

    This game and the reviews its been getting have once again shown that Users scores are much more important than the critics.     Mad Max is a GOOD game but could be better. It has a very big world which is great but the world feels small since the player can drive everywhere in a fast car u like most open world games that you have to run everywhere. The feels smaller and smaller the more upgrades you put into your car to go faster. There is even fast travel wich does not make sense in this type of game. The story is average but the gameplay is great. There is so much customization to do for your car and you can earn skill points to upgrade max to become a better fighter, have more health, regenerate more health from food, as have more stamina when fighting. This is definitely as must have game for gamers who love open world games that they will play for opt least 250+ hours.… Expand

    + The camps are all different, and feel really cool to explore (not repetitive at all in my opinion)

    - Dodgy graphics / textures in some points of the game
    - Really bad performance issues with framerate drops that last quite a while

Fun vehicle and hand to hand combat, large open world, upgrading Max and your car is also very fun and addictive. I have already invested over 40 hours, and none of it have been boring. Story is not too shabby, but the gameplay is what matters more in a game.
    Not to mention, the PC    What's with all the above average scores from the critics? This game EASILY scores at least an 8 out of 10. Fun vehicle and hand to hand combat, large open world, upgrading Max and your car is also very fun and addictive. I have already invested over 40 hours, and none of it have been boring.     Not to mention, the PC version is an great port; runs at butter smooth 60 FPS on my mid tier PC(i5 4690, R9 280) with all MAX graphical settings! (no pun intended)

    Having to live off of small water pumps, maggots, lizards, and dog food.
    Offering yourself to stronghold leaders in return of some help to continue your quest.
    Mad Max is a massive open world with well over 50 hours of content.
    The good or the bad is that this massive world is just that.. a massive world that stays the same, keeps the same rules from beginning all the way til the end.
    By the rules of the game staying the same since the start, the world feels even more as one,
    you’re introduced to everything that the game is going to throw at you very early on
    but the downside of this is that it’s easy to feel repetitive…. After a while you’ll realize, wait a minute…
    No matter what I do, I’m really just going to location after location and picking up its collectibles and killing all of the bad guys there and doing it over and over and over until the credits roll.
    A side mission, a main mission, scavenge locations, it doesn’t matter, it’s the same thing.. collect scrap, kill everything there.
    Luckily though, you have to really concentrate on the repetitiveness to notice it, because while the world of mad max is one giant collectathon, the locations are surprisingly unique considering the game takes place in a desert.
    I actually loved exploring the open world, it never felt to me like the design team got lazy.
    If you stop to just soak in your surroundings, you may actually find them to be quite beautiful.
    Even the devastation and destruction is beautiful.
    Without warning you’ll see a dark cloud approaching you, and you know you have to find shelter fast,
    The skies are about to get dark, the wind is about to pick up, and lighting is going strike the ground around you.
    The storms are terrifying, but bring so much excitement to the game, really adding a layer of immersion to an already super immersive game.
    After a storm has passed you can set out into the world to find scrap crates it blew around or get back to looting.
    While this really is just a game about map cleaning like assassins creed has become, there is reason to the mad maxness.
    The scrap is used for upgrades.
    You get scraps from exploding enemy cars, from scavenging, upgrading strongholds, and constantly like a bank system by claiming enemy camps, which is done by clearing them of their leader, fighters, or by destroying their pumps or tanks inside.
    You can freely upgrade max, your weapons, or your car as you level up and decrease the threat in each territory.
    You decrease threat by eliminating snipers, claiming camps, pulling down scarecrows, taking out convoys, and defusing landmines.
    and You level up by completing combat, environmental, and car based challenges.
    Leveling up really happens for the most part naturally.
    Car combat is surprisingly fun, you can rip off doors, tires, explode tanks, or just ram into opponents until they explode or run away.
    Hand to hand combat is a less satisfying version of the arkham games.
    Mad max on foot and in combat feels very stiff. So think skyrim in 3rd person but with batman style prompts. The camera doesn’t pull out like in batman, which can lead to some hits that feel pretty cheap since the enemy is off camera.
    enemies do die quickly in hand to hand, so weapons aren’t all too necessary outside of completing challenges and luckily neither is your shotgun.
    And I say luckily because you can only hold 2 shotgun shells with you in the beginning until you upgrade yourself to being able to carry a whopping 7
    Making the shotgun really only useful for hard to reach collectibles.
    But then there’s the racing, the sections that if you’re like me you’re not going to enjoy even a little.
    They’re cheap, luck based, physics don’t exist, your car seemingly has no weight, and handling in this game sucks, there’s a particular spot in the game where you die almost instantly from the never ending enemy cars in this quote unquote race that seem to do nothing but hinder you and are given a laughable 6 minute time limit to try and take out a larger truck.
    And for some reason when you’re about to deal the killing blow, you will start locking on enemies behind you instead.
    Mad Max breaks in the spots it needs to work most.
    The racing in general and this section sprinkled into the main story really ruin what otherwise is a decently fun and relaxing experience.
    It becomes a frustratingly cheap ps2 era time trial out of nowhere.
    Luckily races are optional…but the one I had issue with the most unfortunately isn’t
    While mad max stays the same game from hour 1 until hour 80, you’ll find yourself enjoying every second lost in this desert world claiming it for your own as you set out for a bit of revenge.
    The racing sections though, not so much.

    Great take on the Mad Max franchise. I don't really understand the hate! Is this game fun? Yes. Is it rewarding? of course! Car combat is sweet and the weather effects are incredible. It's not perfect but it's a lot better than what the critics are saying. 9/10

    All in all great fun, but a bit repetitive. Lovely graphics on the ps4. Max's voice is badly done but gameplay is very good, could do with better traversal technique. Glad I bought it though

    Do not be duped into thinking this is a average game! I think the problem with some reviews are that they're coming on the back of playing MGS so have different expectations. If this game had launched earlier then I think reviews would be higher.     My biggest complaint is the HUD. As of now you cannot remove it or even mute it until it's needed. Mad MAx is such a good looking game the HUD elements kind of spoil the atmosphere. Here's hoping for an option to adjust it in a future update. This is also just mu opinion.

    If that was fixed then I'd elevate my score to a 9. Only other thing that I'm finding is a lack of a handbrake in the car. There's a shunt button but I'd love to be able to drift the car better. Apart from those two things I'm loving the game. Strong combat, lots of upgrades for Max and the car and tons of stuff to do. The map is gigantic so if it's value for money you're looking for this game will easily last you a couple of months.    … Expand

    This is a great game and it's a shame a lot of people will probably overlook it but they should have picked a different release date. Trying to compete with MGS 5 was a very bad move.

Set in an open world, you have many optional missions as well as the mandatory story missions. Max is, understandably, quite selfish through most of the game, though does show a shred of consideration to some of those he meets - although this is usually for personal gain. Just part of his character, I suppose.

    Combat has been done very well, and the need to scavenge for basic materials such as fuel, water and food add an extra element to the game which doesn't go unappreciated. I would recommend Mad Max to anyone who fancies a good, open world, post apocalyptic environment with solid gameplay - yet doesn't care so much for a story or for the Mad Max series as a whole.    … Expand

While this game may be similar to other WB games, this game is far better than Batman, but not quite as good as The Witcher 3. If you like games that offer a decent story and tons of things to do that are challenging and fun, I recommend this game as at least a rental if not a purchase.     I have only had Mad Max for about a day now and have not really gotten very far, but i can tell you this game is by far the most fun I have had in a long time. The car combat is satisfyingly brutal, the hand to hand is fantastic and with every blow I feel like I am crushing their bones with my fists. The landscape is vast and beautiful on the PS4 especially.     Did you enjoy Fury Road? Do you like open world sandbox games? Well then this game is for you. Especially if you're looking for an alternative to MGSV. It can be a bit repetitive and the driving takes a while to get used to. Overall, very solid game and worth your time

    for £20 at the time i bought the game it was worth every penny .,., a sort of sandbox with an arcade free ,., not the longest of games took about a week or less to finish ,., but it was solid fun from start to finish .
    Upgrade your car but exploring & fighting through the map then beast down the remains of the highway in the wasteland in your new automobile ,., pretty good indeed

    Its an unbelievably fun game, the car combat, superb.
    The fighting, a very brutal version of the Arkham games.
    The gunplay, bloody as hell.

    All these things are better in some other games, but all of them mixed together seems to make an epic mess that I can't stop playing.

    This is a game that is far from perfect, but it is bloody brilliant. Even if the story aint that great.

    Graphics: People who say a game sucks because it lacks colour should keep their mouth shut, though it is true that it is better to have a varied pallet over the same bleak colour I would rather take a well made desert over poorly made areas any day, the thing that makes mad max different in its setting is how well it's done, the desert looks bleak and depressing which is what I expect from a desert but it also looks really nice, the lighting gives you feel of being in a real desert and the world actually looks varied in the terrain rather than the colour. 9/10

    World: The world of Mad Max is a desert, there's not much to say about that. At times I felt that even with the cars, the world felt too big, while every sandbox game boasts the largest sandbox available I think they should instead do what Shadow of Mordor did and just make the world large enough so you can explore it without the tedious to and fro you get from the likes of Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3. That said, the world looks beautiful and there is plenty to see and do but the size makes it a drag from time to time. 8/10

    Story: Now people have constantly said this game doesn't have a story but I find that to be untrue, the main story by itself is very, very bare bones but the side quests given to you supplement it, this is a true RPG where the side quests matter to your experience instead of just being a check-list item, I found myself more engaged with what was going on when I took the time to do things for these people. The story is also in the locations and collectibles, giving you a reason to explore and find artefacts. 9/10

    Gameplay: Harkening back to Shadow of Mordor, the gameplay is very similar to Mordor and Batman Arkham with regards to the combat minus the stealth mechanics which suits the style of the game. While the gameplay is clunky compared to Batman Arkham and Mordor it does everything right for the most part, the parry system could be more responsive but that's a given. The driving is actually up to par with what I expect from a real car, with different vehicles actually handling differently forcing you to adapt to them but I can't figure out why this game doesn't have a hand brake available which would make car combat less tedious. 8/10

    Things to do: Mad Max has plenty of stuff to do but it isn't very varied, Wasteland missions (side missions) are good when you get them but there aren't that many with each Warlord giving you about 2 or 3 at a time, reducing the influence of Lord Scrotus is 90% of what you do by destroying scarecrows or raiding camps, which can get tedious but never boring. The best part is when you raid a Boss camp, while the bosses could have been more varied in their design (they are the same guy just re-skinned) the way you fight them is interesting as they all have their own weaknesses from being weak to bladed weapons to fury mode but an upgraded shotgun can make it a bit easy especially if you have the maximum ammo upgrade but despite that they're still the highlight of the game. 8/10

    The tipping point for me about this game is that it is more Mad Max than the movie, while Mad Max: Fury Road was a good action movie, it wasn't a good Mad Max movie with its not so subtle messages while this game is just drive and kill Mad Max style.

    Overall, Mad Max doesn't bring anything new to the table but what it does bring is tried and tested gameplay that is both parts challenging and rewarding making it a better game than most blockbusters that come out these days.

But after a fairly mediocre and rushed opening, Max makes a mortal enemy: Scabrous Scrotus, the ruler of gastown. After getting his car stolen by said ruler, Max makes a friend: chumbucket, a wasteland mechanic. Together, they must build their ultimate ride and escape to these plains of silence.

    The story is actually pretty good. It was interesting and engaging enough to want me to see it through to the end. Along the way, you meet many interesting characters, half of which are group leaders, whose strongholds you can use as a base of operations. But one thing i didn't like about the story was this one character named Hope, a slave bounced back and forth between masters throughout the game. She and her daughter, glory, are just not interesting characters, and what makes it worse is the shoehorned in love story between her and Max. It just doesn't work.

    The gameplay is split up between driving/car combat, and ground combat/scavenging. The car combat is so much fun, slamming into cars, shooting at them with explosives and shotguns, lighting them up with side-mounted flame throwers, and literally pulling off their armor and wheels with the harpoon. I always had fun when engaged in car combat. The overall driving mechanic is really solid too. Ground combat and exploration is fun as well. the combat is reminiscent of the batman arkham games, except with many major tweaks (not to mention more violent!)

    The wasteland may be the best open world I've experienced in a video game. Which is ironic, an open world that is meant to be empty feels so alive and full of personality. In this world, you'll tackle side objectives, which consist of toppling intimidation towers, taking out Scrotus convoys, partaking in vicious death runs, and taking up many jobs from the stronghold leaders. While some of these tasks get repetitive, others, like the convoys and camps, are really fun.

    Now i'm going to get into some of my major gripes with the game. Boss fights being one. There are mainly two types of boss fights, big guys that swing huge sharp things, and small fast guys that flail around dual shivs. These get repetitive. There are also several graphical quirks, such as glitching models and framerate slowdowns. And the thing that made me the most angry, was a bug that prevented me from continuing the game, forcing me to restart the entire thing. Thankfully this was early on.

    Overall, i really did like Mad Max, 8/10.    … Expand

    Dark punish tone in its story parts and very fun car fights in beautifully designed wastelands let you oversee the generic button mashing against human enemies and the "collect-all-you-see-on-the-map" tasks meant to distract you from its core pureness.

    Not groundbreaking nor time-eating, but entertaining fun just like the latest cinema piece.

You have a few weapons you can use but it does feel a bit restricted in parts. The car combat is fun and the difficulty is nice. You'll have some cake walks and then get your butt kicked. It evens it out fairly well. I'm a fan of the series so just being in that universe holds my attention. Others might not be as appreciative of that. Unless you are a Mad Max fan, I'd wait until the price drops a bit but it is a good buy!… Expand

I've spent the last 5 hours just messing around in blackmaw alone which takes up less than 5% of the map. this size can be a downside though, while there's a ton of stuff to do, its all a variant of the same handful of things and good controls, a pretty landscape and fun combat isn't going to save the tail end of the game getting repetitive for completionists. on top of it all the game boasts plenty of random events that add some uniqueness to how you have to play, all in all the game is solid, its definitely worth taking a look at. it takes a lot to not cower in the shadow of a titan like metal gear solid but i think max does it and does it well.… Expand

    The combat system, while familiar (Batman Arkham series and Shadow of Mordor share the same basic elements), has its own brutal flare and subtle changes.

    Vehicle combat is very exciting. Clever use of the bullet time effect helps while aiming weapons at enemy combatants, while making the usually awkward aim while steering part of vehicle combat less of a draw back.

    This game suffers from what many other open world titles suffer from toward the middle to end of the game. Aside from the story missions you really don't get anything new once you reach a certain point. Being the completionist that I am, that doesn't bother me as much as it might some people.

    I am stilling enjoying my time with this game, it has tons to do, and the story so far is decent.

After beating it I got the crave to finish all the side missions, which I hardly do in other games.     The graphics in this game are beautiful. Sand is constantly being kicked into the air by convoys, random sandstorms engulf you, and each base is it's own unique maze surrounded by scrap of all kinds. You can wander the wasteland however you want, and I mean however you want.

    This becomes the downfall of Mad Max. It's so open world that there feels like a lack of progression, or any desire to progress (in terms of the main storyline). I spent 30 hours of my time aimlessly completing whatever I pleased (taking bases, scavenging, finding parts to upgrade strongholds and destroying Scrotus' control of the wastelands). I spent 10 hours beating the storyline... I wasn't expecting a huge story (I just beat Witcher III about a month earlier), but I wanted more. There was a lot of missed opportunities in character investment and story (there are side missions "wasteland missions" that you complete for stronghold leaders) by making these side characters like a business transaction. There is a lot of darkness in the wasteland with the possibility of telling that history through side characters. Even Chumbucket lacks a sense of depth.

    To be fair, it does fit the tone of the wasteland. Nobody gives a rip about you and Max responds in kind. However, we don't learn a ton about Max either. Again, it left me wanting.

    I've played through Mad Max and tried out pretty much all the game has to offer, and i liked it a lot. Its a fun game with lots of killing, driving and looting. If you like these and/or Mad Max in general (if you've seen the movie/s), then you should definitely pick it up.
    The game runs really well on the ps4, graphics are impressive, the audio is stunning and the scenery and lighting    I've played through Mad Max and tried out pretty much all the game has to offer, and i liked it a lot. Its a fun game with lots of killing, driving and looting. If you like these and/or Mad Max in general (if you've seen the movie/s), then you should definitely pick it up.
    The game runs really well on the ps4, graphics are impressive, the audio is stunning and the scenery and lighting adds to its beautiful atmosphere!
    Rich content, great gameplay (car combat is awesome and fist combat is brutal!), but kinda weak story (basically just: build a car...), and the game could feel a bit repetitive after a while.
    The absolute best part about the game, where it shines, is the driving. This is something that I think many games lack, but in Mad Max it just feels so good.
    Avalanche Studios delivered a decent and intense action-packed game, and I hope to see DLCs and possibly a sequel.

    A game the height of the Mad Max series, breakneck combat both on foot and in vehicle direction. Beautiful graphics and landscapes that yield good pictures. Live and intriguing universe. Although some physical errors and short story , the game provides hours of fun and worth every penny. Recommend!

    Mad Max features a big open world packed full of missions and explosive action. There's a lot of fun to be had and a lot of satisfaction through upgrading your Magnum Opus, capturing outposts and upgrading strongholds. My only negative is that the game can get a bit repetitive 8/10

    the game is long, level progression feels very smooth. I love the upgrades new cars etc. etc. graphics are good enough to please your eyes. I love it's rustic theme and bad ass enemies.

    it has a great feeling to it. fiighting is so much fun, driving around using your harpoon and kill some enemies feel grear. Very underrrated game i think it is brilliant.

You then meet a Black Finger (mechanic) who says he can help you build a new car and restore it to your previous cars glory. Max's main goal is to go to gas town and get a V8 engine for his new car so he can go to The Plains of Silence where he believes he will finally find peace in the wasteland.

    The story was meant to fit in with the current movie that was just released and does so to a degree. Both personalities that we see in game and in the movie are completely different. The main thing that troubled me as a Mad Max fan is that when he reflects on his family it shows visions of his wife and daughter (who seems to be 10 or so). Which threw me off (Max had a wife and a son no more than 2 years old) and made me think that Max isn't THE Max, but just a man in the same situation. It did not take away from the game, however it was a disappointing moment.

    Gameplay:

    When you first get your car it starts out as just a frame, but not to soon after you get to choose a car body that will depict the type of driver you are based on attack, defense and speed. If you want you can change your car body afterwards and you also find more car bodies in the wasteland.

    The vehicle customization is the best part. In order to gain parts for your vehicle you need to acquire "scrap" which is found throughout the wasteland and is a foundation of the game. Ever part you add changes the states for better or worse. For example, you can have the best suspension, however if you add to much armor your handling will go down. Other elements and added parts affect the type of vehicle you will have. There is also what they call Archangels which consists of different vehicle builds and are body specific. They also require specific parts in order to complete. Archangels do not add anything special to your car, but are merely just specific car configurations. I personally found this feature useless and unnecessary.

    As mentioned before "scrap" plays a huge role through the whole game. You pretty much need to ever bit because not only do you need it for your car, but for Max as well. You can upgrade his signature jacket, turns his double barrel shotgun into a quad barrel and give him wrench knuckles. It can also be used to teach Max special moves like disabling enemies and breaking limbs. Without these special abilities the combat itself is mediocre

    The wasteland is massive. It is incredibly vast and is exactly how you would expect it to be. Out in the wasteland you have multiple objectives. These include raiding convoys, taking down scarecrow towers and varies other objectives. These must be done if you want to free various territories from Scrotus's control. This I found very rinse, wash and repeat because you will be doing this the whole time you play the game and it really never changes except for the Bases with Oil Rigs. The mini bosses all have the same armor and same weapons and attack the same way.

    I left this part for last on purpose. The car battles are fantastic and give you a pretty good adrenaline rush. At first it will seem like everyone is kicking your ass, but eventually you get to kick everyone else's ass. With the Black Finger on the harpoon you have the ability to rip of tires, doors and even pull people out of their cars. The man is a true ace. Smashing into everyone's vehicles is fairly exhilarating. This is the true Mad Max experience and the main reason to have this game.

    Graphics:

    The world of Mad Max is exactly how I would of expected it to be. Lots of sand, but it has its own charm and beauty. The Peaceful Wasteland NPC's in the world are very poorly polished, but you do not see enough of them to really even care. Explosions look realistic and the cars look fantastic. Sometimes the PS4 would stutter, but not enough to really bother me.

    Issues:

    I had some issues which could be easily fixed with a patch, but I had one major issue that crushed everything for me. My map would not display when I pressed the touch pad. The map is a crucial element and I was not able to access it after 30 hours in. I tried previous saves to try and restore my gameplay, but the only way to fix it was to reinstall the game and start over. After 30 hours of doing essentially the same thing over and over I just never attempted to continue it.

    Final Result:

    This game is Mad Max. It lives breathes and eats it. However, it can get very dry and repetitive lacking some elements that could change it up. It is worth the buy and should not be counted out if you are a Mad Max fan.    … Expand

I feel like more aggressive or reckless enemy drivers would have made for more intense road combat.
    hand to hand combat is simple but satisfying, with combos being rewarding with neat fishing moves including a German suplex (my favorite). get used to rolling though, because later game enemies will dish out a lot of unblockable attacks that can really mess up those who have only mastered the parry.
    all in all, I'm satisfied with Mad Max and would suggest it to fans of the movies or those looking to scratch that car-combat itch.    … Expand

    The game is a complete fan service has lovers of movies , I played many hours and 100 percent complete and really loved it, but has to have come down frame rate and some repetitive missions and really would have liked a better story, but the game is good, like I said if you like movies you'll love the game

    Overly dramatic at some points, but still doesn't take away from how fun the open-world action is. The average player may get very distracted from the story considering how much driving their is, but the weapons bring you right back in. Childish fun, but definitely recommended.

    Yes the game have some glitches and a lot of people is b"#"$ing about it, but remember when you play with a cartridge and the game have glitches and there where not patches or updates. This is a great game, great fighting mode like Batman Arkham Series, and is rewarding you unlock thing while you play and complete special missions. And if you are a REAL Mad Max fan you should play it

    I really don't understand the hate. It's a beautiful and entertaining game in a gloriously wonderful universe.

    Sure, there a repetitive moments like any open world game but at it's core the vehicle sections are phenomenal and the combat is on par with the Batman games.

    I traded Arkham Knight for this game and I'm not sorry. The fighting is great, the Opus Magnus is fun to drive and do stuff with and there are a log of character/car/base upgrades. Plus 15+ hours in game I don't find it at all repetitive.

    Don't really understand the mixed reviews of this - this game was immensely fun and the attention to detail of George Miller's world is just outstanding! It's visceral, brutal and the driving mechanics are brilliant! Some of it can be rough around the edges and the story isn't all interesting but the amount of technical heart that has gone into this makes it worth a recommendation.

    I waited to play this game until a price drop due to some of the low scores and also because other games being out such as The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, etc.However, after playing this game for several hours I had to create an account on metacritic just to give my opinion and maybe help others decide to buy or not buy.

    The good:
    Graphics are beautiful; I have never seen a wasteland look more amazing (sorry Fallout 4).
    Story is actually really good once you are open to the idea of this being a "Mad Max" world and setting. It's goes along with all of the movies setting the tone where it should be.
    Soundtrack is also great which sets the tone for the game.
    Characters in the game are insane, crazy, and completely out of their minds, which is perfect for this setting.
    Car and character customization is a really nice feature that allows the player to step back and see their progress and character development.

    The Bad:
    Sometimes the repetitive missions within the vast open world can feel a bit to much at times.

    Overall, this is a must own game for anyone who is a fan of Mad Max or an open world fan. Sure this game isn't as vast and expansive as the The Witcher 3 but I found it to be better than some of the other games out right now that are getting a higher score than this game. I really don't know why the critics rated this game with some of the low scores, it just doesn't make any sense?    … Expand

    It´s a O.K game, technically on consoles sometimes struggles, story wise, very short and uninspired. Final Boss Fight is Horrible. I litterally had more fun looting, finding scrap and invading campaments. My score is based on secondary missions if i had to give a score to the main story it would be a 5/10. My recomendation, buy used or on sale.

    You won't find a better game for cruising around the wasteland than this. Even though the locations often have the same muddy colors, they are still memorable and have their own identity. And when you take out the main car with the artifact it's damn satisfying, especially seeing the explosions. The main story is straight forward with some great cut scenes. And the last act with Scrotus'es convoy as final boss is something I will remember for a while.

    I don't know how big budget had Avalanche Studios for development of this game, but some details feel a bit sloppy. In the game you have to meet a lot of random NPC's, they'll say a few sentences and then either you continue your journey or you two start digging for no damn reason. All the top dogs have slight changes of color and weapon texture, but act exactly the same. Most of the time you defeat those top dogs near a wall and most of the time you see the same animation of max beating the defeated top dog through the wall texture. Some of the collectibles feel very unnecessary, for example relic with personal pictures. Mostly they seem like private pictures of developers. Something else I would like to mentions is appearance of some characters that after the final are not supposed to be in some strongholds. Some might blame it on the game budget, but some minor details are likely just a lazy work by some developers.

    The worst part for me in the game was the fighting system. They were approaching the flow system of the Arkham series, but it felt clunky and more often frustrating, as a result. When the counterattack button appears on the screen I felt like it show too little too late. Some times NPC would attack max in the middle of a fight scene, other times they wait til he finishes off the defeated NPC.

    It might sound like a mixed bag, but for the money right now it's a cheap grab. The cons I mentioned are so significant for the overall of the game. I strongly suggest to try it out, especially if you're into car combat games.    … Expand

    Open world game, map is pretty big. Game level pretty high. Besides racing, it included on foot battle as well. Invested time on finding loots to upgrade gears. Combat style is similar to batman arklum series, which i think there is more room for improvements.

    I have seen this melee style of combat done before and better in Batman Arkham games. It takes a lot to get me into a third person and/or driving games these days. The scenic driving and car combat was fun. The melee combat worked, but nothing woo hoo.

    The overall game was a lot of doing the same stock stuff over and over again, but with more added intensity the further I progressed. I personally never got bored, because I was always seeing new locations when doing the same stuff. The map is huge and for a desert it had many a new nook and cranny to explore. The scripted end game BS was kind of annoying, but they wanted to push that cinematic look.

    Some small bugs and a few annoying glitches which led to very cheap deaths. Poorly optimized at times on the legacy PS4. With very bad slow downs in the frame rate when several cars are on screen. I had a lot of fun with this game, but the technical problems do effect the score.    … Expand

Programmers of GOW shoudve played MM 1st 2 see what really is a open world game. it should be reverse GOW 65, Max 94. I'm really asking myself why I didnt played MM before until it was free on PS+.     Good game. It's a shame, there won't be the second one because the gameplay is strong and visuals, while not technically ideal, are artfully and immersive. We would only need a bit better story and a little more complication in fighting and looting (f*cking scraps...). Kudos to people who had developed it. You were just unlucky with unfair reviews.

    Everything about this game is great except for how repetitive it is. Doing the same missions over and over again mad bored of the game halfway through. The car combat was suprisingly great and the other gadgets the car had were impressive and plentiful.

The gameplay is really fluid and smooth. I also really enjoyed the graphics and the unique vibe this game has. I would say that Mad Max is easier than most other PS4 games I played before. It means that this game is not frustrating (especially if you don't rush the main story and complete a few strongholds in order to upgrade properly).

    However, there is an important lack of diversity in the different strongholds that appear on the map (they all look the same). So, I can't recommend a 100% playthrough but I would say that if you complete the main story and do..let's say...half of the optional quests, you should have a great time with this game.

    We can easily compare this game to Far Cry and Assassin's Creed because of the open world design.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A really fun game. The graphics and physics simulation on the cars are great. The hand to hand combat moves also are a pleasure to learn. I really enjoyed the leveling system too.

    The one negative thing about the game is that at a few key places you’re forced to act in a way that’s pretty inconsistent with 95% of the way you played up until then. That felt kind of terrible and to happen at the end when you’ve invested so much was kind of really sucky.     Juego de mundo abierto muy entretenido, gran variedad de enemigos, armas y habilidades, el tema del coche juega un papel importante, adolece de varios defectos como algunos bugs, ralentizaciones y ciertas mecánicas que se nota que es de principio de generación, pero aún así muy entretenido.

    It´s a pretty good game based on the mad max movie series, highly recommended to those who are fans of the saga (sometimes the game feels a little bit empty when you go around the wasteland, but nothing really awful or to take care about)

    Davvero un bel gioco.....le esplosioni, la guida e soprattutto i combattimenti sono il punto forte di questo gioco, e anche la storia non è male. Anche se purtroppo a lungo andare è ripetitivo lo consiglio a tutti, soprattutto a chi è amante dei giochi open world.

    Not a perfect game but a lot of fun although quite repetitive, looks beautiful on ps4 pro but sometimes suffers ridiculously from frame rate issues but the good definitely outweighs the bad, unfortunately for mad max though it was overlooked that year but definitely worth a purchase.

    Mad Max used its imagery well, and as a sandbox game, it's thematically pretty coherent. I actually liked this more than GTA V: driving around is more exiting, and Batman-style fist fighting is more fun than Gears of GTA -cover shootouts. [Oct 2015]
