    Un Viaje Para Dos.

    JUGABILIDAD: El concepto de Journey es interesantísimo. Somos emparejados con otro jugador, del que no sabemos ni siquiera su nombre de usuario, y debemos hacer nuestro viaje con él o ella. Es extraño cómo el juego es capaz de crear un nivel de compañerismo tan profundo con alguien con quien no puedes comunicarte y que acabas de "conocer". Es extraño la fuerza del    Un Viaje Para Dos.

    JUGABILIDAD:
    El concepto de Journey es interesantísimo.
    Somos emparejados con otro jugador, del que no sabemos ni siquiera su nombre de usuario, y debemos hacer nuestro viaje con él o ella. Es extraño cómo el juego es capaz de crear un nivel de compañerismo tan profundo con alguien con quien no puedes comunicarte y que acabas de "conocer". Es extraño la fuerza del lazo que puedes hacer, en cuestión de segundos, con una persona de la cual no volverás a saber nada.

    En mi partida, la persona en cuestión ya conocía los "secretos" del mapa y tengo que confesar que dejarme guiar por alguien más, y el esforzarme por no "fallarle" a ese desconocido, ha sido una de las experiencias mas increíbles en mi vida como jugador. Si me lo hubieran contado no lo hubiera creído.

    Eso es lo mejor y lo principal, de ahí en fuera la jugabilidad es muy simple: en pareja, debemos explorar unas zonas hermosas en busca del santuario al que debemos llegar para seguir avanzando. Podemos avanzar con el joystick, saltar, volar durante pocos segundos.
    Hay un par de áreas que debemos cruzarlas deslizándonos por la arena, y han sido especialmente divertidas. En algunas otras seremos empujados por el viento, frenados por la nieve, o cazados por destinas criaturas. Todo, claro está, sin separarnos de nuestro compañero.

    GRÁFICOS:
    Visualmente deslumbrante, el juego presenta un estilo minimalista con una paleta de colores acertada. Todo está dibujado de tal forma que el mapa se siente gigantesco (claro que no lo es), y la exploración y el avance son un deleite, así como los juegos de luces y los escenarios en sombras

    La parte final del juego... wow.

    SONIDO:
    Una banda sonora de 10, todos los momentos están ambientados de forma espectacular. En éste juego en particular, la música juega un papel de gran importancia. A través de ella es que experimentamos los sentimientos que el juego busca transmitir, y creo que el soundtrack es en gran parte la razón de que desarrollemos ese lazo tan importante con el otro jugador.

    Una vez más lo digo: la parte final... wow.

    INNOVACIÓN:
    Journey es un juego único. ¿Podría haber ciertas inspiraciones? Probablemente, en lo personal me hace recordar juegos como SOTC, pero su concepto es especial. Muy especial.    … Expand

    For me Journey and Inside are like the two sides of a coin. They have similar gameplay mechanics, great atmosphere, easy puzzles, a little platforming and they both focus on story.

    As a ultra-summary, it is a beautiful experience. I encourage anyone to give a shot to this game. In no more than 3h it completely engages you in the simplistic but at the same time gorgeous adventure.

You cannot talk or interact with them, but you may choose to join them, and complete your journey together.
    The game is undeniably beautiful, and while playing I found myself pausing multiple times, simply to look around and take in the wide landscapes around me. Each level contains collectibles called Symbols, and secrets called Glyphs, which are a joy to find and collect. The reward for doing this is equally satisfying.

    Journey only sets out to do a few things as a game, but it perfectly nails all of those points. My only gripe with the game while playing was that it could sometimes be a bit tedious to walk long distances, to get from one side of a level to another. Especially in the third desert level there are some long walks that take some time. However, other than that, I do not regret my time spent playing this game in the slightest, and I look forward to revisiting it once more at a later time.    … Expand

    One of the most surprising and delightful finds of my two decades as a gamer. Journey was a powerful reminder of the need for wonder, introspection and connection with others. The short playtime also adds to the experience in a way, I don't know how to explain it, its just remarkable and worth experiencing for yourself.

    Beautiful game that I can't help but always love. The seamless Co-op with people you have never meet and likely won't meet again is a wonderful addition. By the end I was a wreck while chiming away with a complete stranger who i hope also ended with the same feelings. Music and looks are top notch but my only gripe would be I wish i could play for longer in this fantastic world.

    I think that game can be one of the most amazing game in play in nearly all Pc's. Because it has GORGEUS graphics and without 2-3 scenes never down 60fps. Have very good musics and cutscenes. A game to relax and chill.(If my English is bad I'm sorry.)

    Went into this blind. Was a bit confused at first as people who got thrown in with me would do the puzzle for me. Once I got past that, WOW what a stunning game. Soundtrack is incredible, especially near the end where it nearly made me tear up. Very uplifting experience.

    A beautiful game, which although short is really enjoyable throughout. I have completed this game multiple times just because I can. To complete the game you are looking at roughly 2 -3hrs and it's not challenging which means you can look at the world that has been created and enjoy it.

    This brings my to my only real criticism of the game - your companion is a random person who is also playing at the same time as you are. you can only communicate via chimes. I would love to be able to add friends from my friend list and to play with them as my companion

You will see other players also on their own journey, but you can't communicate with them. As you play you will soon figure out that you need to "activate" seemingly dull pieces of cloth, into vibrant colourful ones. You will collect things that will allow you to jump, and almost fly for short periods, you will run along desert landscapes, and then find yourself almost surfing down the other side of a hill. When I say it is hard to describe, it really is.

    You will explore ancient caves, as well as activate those aforementioned pieces of cloth, that will allow you to reach high up ancient structures, which in turn allow you to activate relics, that allow you to progress through the area.

    Although the game is relatively short (a few hours at most), there is a feeling of wonder as you traverse through the landscapes, if anything this feels more like an emotional experience than a game. When you finally reach the mountain, it truly does give off a feeling of wonder and accomplishment.

    I won't spoil the ending, and I have been careful not to give away too much, as this really is a game that you should experience.

    The Good
    The graphics are stunning, the soundtrack is beautiful. And if you were lucky enough to add this game to your account during Sony's "Play at Home" promotion, then you really do have a classic on your hands. I say this, as I did just that, back in July of 2020, Sony made a couple of games available for people to download and keep for free. I added the game to my account and then forgot about it, and only now have I started playing it. And I am happy I finally did, but annoyed I never played it sooner.

    The Bad
    The game is quite short.

    Overall
    Not many games can be sold on the experience it gives you to play, the emotion it provides, this is one of those games.
    It has won countless awards for being great, and I will also lavish praise on the game, a true classic I score 9/10    … Expand

    One of the most unique and breathtaking gaming experiences one can have. Clever mechanics, puzzles, and controls combine with beautiful music amidst an incredible art style. The cinematic nature makes this brief title somewhat hard to replay, but this doesn't affect much. Everyone should play once.

And it's as if this game depicted the beginnings, the highs, the lows... and of course the ending. I won't rate it a 10 because in my opinion it's not that much of a game, more like an interactive experience. But totallyVery unique game at a very cheap price. The game is gorgeous and it can very well be a metaphor of many things in life. Any goal, any adventure is a journey. Life itself. And it's as if this game depicted the beginnings, the highs, the lows... and of course the ending.     Very simple, very beautiful, and very well made. It's also very short, but that's a minor complaint for a game that you can pick up for a few quid. Well worth a few hours of you time.

    Great game, really enjoyed it on the PS4. Beautiful, immersive, graphics, music and game play. I would have given it a 9 or 10 if it had been an hour or two more of content.

    The game is visually and aesthetically stunning. All this single tint colors work perfect. Also, I like the general arc of the story and the way they incorporated companions (it can be frustrating sometimes due to lack of communication, but the point devs are trying to make is cool).
    However, gameplay wise it feels a barebones version of Uncharted game without shooting. Which sometimes    The game is visually and aesthetically stunning.     Also, stylistically the game isn't coherent enough. It's a mesh of Shadow of the Colossus, Zelda Breath of the Wild and INSIDE. And all this other games felt much more fresh and directed in their design.
    So, whatever. It's a great 2-3hr game. Which doesn't overstay its welcome. And at peaks it transcends to pure joy. But 50% of the game you can see a gamedesigner's work through stitches. It's still a product of love.    … Expand

    This is a prime example of a good idea executed well. Beautiful visuals and music, good controls and a great gameplay flow. Would probably rate it even higher but it's so damn short - will take you about 1 - 2 hours to complete, depending on your playstyle.

    It's difficult to define Journey, it's so different from anything else. I can understand people who say it's overrated / boring, because it's so unique. Players who just play shooters / action action games might not enjoy this gameplay since it has absolutely nothing to do with most games. It won't provide the "adrenaline", fast paced intense action.

    Definitely it's a short game but every minute is completely enjoyable. It's not about story or action, its about simple gameplay and enjoy graphics, sound, music; everything is artistic; it's a JOURNEY in which you can also meet online players randomly, i tought they were IA (PC). If you love art in games, you must buy this game.

    A great game to be remember forever, for being diferent what we are used to play, nice experience. This game surprise, a diferent way to play, that make me feel happy, we get boring some times from shooter games as Call of Duty or GTAV, this one catch me because of that a diferent way to play, awsome graphics and many things to explore.

    DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

    As of writing, August 27th 2015 this game is broken. I've gone through 13 crashes during this 2 hour long game forcing me to restart chapters (one chapter I had to do 6 times before I could complete it without the game crashing) I tried deleting and reinstalling the game which did not work. After suffering through the crashes, and replaying chapters over and over    DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

    As of writing, August 27th 2015 this game is broken. I've gone through 13 crashes during this 2 hour long game forcing me to restart chapters (one chapter I had to do 6 times before I could complete it without the game crashing) I tried deleting and reinstalling the game which did not work. After suffering through the crashes, and replaying chapters over and over that loved to crash near the end of the chapter, not the start, or beginning, but the bloody end. I have to say the game is stunning, it's nearly a masterpiece for what it is, a journey, albeit a short one, but a beautiful one that should not be missed. That being said, until there is a patch and the issues are resolved, save your money so you can experience this game start to finish without issues because it does hinder the experience. Not only that, but developers who release broken products and do not fix them in a timely fashion do not deserve your hard earned money. Research first, make sure the crashes are fixed, if not.     Es un juego precioso, se que es un remaster y no llegué a jugarlo en PS3 pero a mi me ha gustado mucho tanto los gráficos al ver como se ve la arena, el ambiente, las ruinas, todo y su banda sonora que te mete dentro del propio juego. Es interesante ver que te encuentras con otras personas online, es decir. que sigue habiendo gente que lo juega aunque hayan pasado muchos años y es originalEs un juego precioso, se que es un remaster y no llegué a jugarlo en PS3 pero a mi me ha gustado mucho tanto los gráficos al ver como se ve la arena, el ambiente, las ruinas, todo y su banda sonora que te mete dentro del propio juego. Es interesante ver que te encuentras con otras personas online, es decir. que sigue habiendo gente que lo juega aunque hayan pasado muchos años y es original ver a otros que te acompañan en este juego. La jugabilidad es andar, saltar, encontrar coleccionables e ir pasando niveles a base de puzzles o con algo de habilidad e ingenio, un juego que tenéis que jugar si lo tenéis aunque es de poca duración es bastante rejugable.… Expand

    Journey is a masterpiece of art and emotion, but I do not think it hit me as hard as other people. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was great to sit down for 2 hours and play through a game start to finish and feel so much for the character in such a short amount of time. I found myself doing a lot of smiling and I felt very into the world I was travelling through. I personally however did notJourney is a masterpiece of art and emotion, but I do not think it hit me as hard as other people. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was great to sit down for 2 hours and play through a game start to finish and feel so much for the character in such a short amount of time. It also didn't help my play-through that the other players I came across kind of ran off and did their own things. The art style is beyond beautiful, and very appealing to the eye, and the game play is fun and simple. I would recommend this game to anyone.

    I don’t even think this counts as a “game”. After 5 minutes I thought it was complete garbage. I decided to play it through though as I knew it was a short game. After I was done, I wanted to play it again. The aspect of meeting a “companion” and journeying together is an interesting concept.

All this story tells you is that I can't say that Journey impacted me the way it did to that many players back then, but even then i have to commend the developers for making this incredible experience, even if it is short and not very replay value apart from trophy hunting. The game looks absolutely amazing, the sounds, music, everything just sort of fuses together. I remember comparing Abzu to Fantasia, and that doubles for Journey even more. I can say if you have the chance play this game, it is a very fascinating experience, even if you get to it late like i did, sometimes, the "Journey" is worth it.… Expand

    No doubt Journey is a great experience, but it's his biggest flaw too. The gameplay is too simple and there is not much to do apart going from point a to point b. Journey is more about an emotional experience and it is where it truly shines.

    Very nice indie game. The multiplayer is awesome, you dont know who you're playing with, but you feel a connection with this person. The scenarios are very beautiful and the gameplay is simple and fun.

    This is game that i really enjoyed in the similar way that i enjoyed flower. Great relaxing game with interesting art style but don't play it if you want more traditional gaming experience because for this game you need to be in the right set of mind.

    Pretty good game. Nice story, nice interactive, nice physics, and difficulty. At the same time, I didn't feel anything special about the game and no attachment at all. Probably it's a one time entertainment.
    The game also reminded me of Prince of Persia 2008.

    A brilliantly simple yet captivating game following a mysterious figures quest through various mini worlds. The online aspect is cool - you will be joined by another player but it’s non-invasive and definitely adds to the experience. Well worth a play through which will take roughly a couple of hours, a game to experience and reflect on.

    -It is just an audio/visual experience so there is no story and characters.

    Journey is a game that every player must experience once in their life. It is only 2 hours long so it can be finished in one sitting. For me it is one of the most unique experience I have ever had.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Journey is a short game but a wonderful one. You start off the game by mysteriously waking up in the sand, and as you go throughout the first level learning your controls like any other video game it shows the player what this world is like and what the goal is. Once you make it to the second level you find another character with you, that player 2 makes the game what it is. The player 2 of the game is any random person who is playing the game. This is amazing as you dont know who they are until you finish the entire game. The person you are playing with could be your long lost twin and you wouldn't know until you finish the game. This pushes the players to help eachother as the only way to communicate is by using a sound button, because of this they have to work together without speaking to eachother at all, which this is a great concept as everyone I have played with on journey has been nice and helpful during the game.

    The game also centralizes this working together statement even later on in the game when you are able to be attacked by enemies who take your scarf which is how you can fly. When playing through the game you may try and help your partner but then have to leave them behind. These moments are somehow able to convey entire emotions as you try to signal your partner to follow you but you cant talk to eachother.

    While Journey is a short game with little exciting gameplay it is able to make you connect with anyone and have fun for the 2-4 hour game. 5/7 it's a good short game    … Expand

    Great examples of games as art. The atmosphere and artistic vision of this game is absolutely astounding. The multiplayer is great. The soundtrack is exceptional, and the level design is solid.

    The aesthetic is incredible. It's mysterious and beautiful and atmospheric. Gameplay is straightforward but fun. Star is the drop in drop out multiplayer, which created some unexpectedly emotional moments. Downsides are length and replayability.
