    Oh my God. Where do I start? To all the people that just don't get it, I genuinely feel bad that you cannot experiece what I just did. This game was literally chilling. My hair was standing up. I honestly don't know if a game has ever made me feel this way. It's a walking simulator, but on such a different level. It is hard to believe that so much beauty can come in such a small package. Bravo.

    Magnificent journey. First time I've seen this game many years ago on youtube and fall in love with it instantly.
    It's really great and I'm glad they export it on PC so much more gamers can experience this masterpiece.
    "Exclusive" games suck.

    This is one of the best games I have ever played. It isn't long. It will take you a little bit over one hour to complete your Journey or maybe you could stretch it to three hours if you want to observe every single corner of the world. It has no text or any speech at all, yet, it deliveres a beautiful story accompanied by a nice orchestral music.     A while ago I thought about which game is my all time favourite. I have always said that that game is either the last of us or red dead 2, but I actually think that it is this game. I like everything about it, story, graphics, music, feeling, the gameplay is very simplistic but it works for what type of game it is.     Journey creo que más que un juego, es una experiencia, y muy buena además. Como empieces a jugar, probablemente juegues hasta acabártelo. Es tan atractivo y bonito este juego que es un placer pasárselo. Hoy, 9 de febrero de 2022 me lo he terminado y ha sido una auténtica gozada. Felicidades a los creadores porque ha sido inolvidable.     One of the best games ever made imo. I really think in retrospect, this game made people look at Indie games more seriously and actually inspired many indie devs to go for ideas they thought wouldn't work or were afraid people wouldn't appreciate them. Journey is such a beautiful experience that is created with love and care. It has one of the most beautiful OSTs to ever be written forOne of the best games ever made imo.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Eu comecei a jogar Journey sem saber de nada sobre o jogo. Nada. No começo eu já vi como aquele ambiente no deserto era lindo. O jogo tem cenas simplesmente incríveis.
    Com certeza Journey é uma experiência diferente de outros jogos, e por isso acho que é um jogo nota 10 para esse estilo de jogo. Eu tentei achar algum defeito notável no jogo.. Mas sinceramente eu não achei.
    A experiência que eu tive nesse jogo é única. O modo como o jogo se desenvolve é simplesmente único. Eu fui entendendo ele de uma forma muito natural: como o pulo funcionava, como que o canto afetava aquelas faixas voadoras, e etc. E o que eu acho que é uma das coisas mais incríveis é o sentimento que eu tive jogando com outra pessoa. No início, eu achei que era um bot que estava comigo, e que ele só me mostrava o caminho. Mas depois percebi que era um player de verdade, e por causa da utilidade que cada jogador tem como outro (como recarregar as faixas que fazem você pular e planar) e dos momentos que passamos juntos durante a jornada, foi criada certa relação de importância entre meu personagem e o desse jogador. No final, quando estávamos na tempestade de neve morrendo, eu senti muito isso. Eu senti que eu e esse jogador precisávamos um do outro para sobreviver. Eu nunca tive uma experiência assim antes.

    Foi uma das melhores "primeiras experiências" que eu já tive em um jogo. Nota 10/10    … Expand

    Thoroughly enjoyed this game. I got it for free through PS plus a couple of months ago and my only issue with it is that I wish it was longer. I have played through at least 10 times since getting it and each time I am surprised at how easily I get sucked into the story.

Es un videojuego, podríamos llamarlo, de aventuras pero que sin embargo es"Journey" es un videojuego exclusivo de "Sony" originalmente lanzado para PS3 y que en 2015 se adaptó a PS4. Se trata sin duda de uno de los mejores "exclusivos" de la década pasada pero que sin embargo es muy diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados por parte de los "exclusivos de Sony" (God of War, Uncharted...). Es un videojuego, podríamos llamarlo, de aventuras pero que sin embargo es mucho más que eso. Está centrado en el disfrute emocional, sensorial y visual. Esos aspectos son los más destacables y hacen de esta entrega una obra de arte.
    La acción comienza en un basto desierto, aparentemente carente de vida y controlaremos a un ser extraño, de una civilización lejana. Nuestro propósito es abrirnos paso a través de ese desierto e ir descubriendo sus secretos, sus vestigios de una civilización antigua y poderosa, que poco a poco será cada vez más notable. Aparte del desierto, en nuestro viaje recorreremos otros entornos mágicos y delicados y nos enfrentaremos a peligros mayores. Poco a poco iremos recogiendo una especie de runas que nos otorgaran poder en forma de poder volar con mayor autonomía. Esto es importante ya que el tamaño de la "bufanda" del personaje depende de estas runas y cuanto mayor sea la bufanda más podremos volar y así superar obstáculos con mayor facilidad.
    El viaje en sí, en mi opinión, es el recorrido de la vida hacia la muerte. Empezamos siendo débiles, pequeños ante un mundo desconocido y enorme (hace referencia hacia la niñez). Después iremos fortaleciéndonos y adentrándonos en la acción, descubriendo el mundo que nos rodea (adolescencia) y ya cuando dominemos los controles y tengamos poder nos armaremos de valor para seguir (madurez). Por último, el frío de las altas montañas y sus peligros nos debilitarán y al final caeremos rendidos, sin fuerzas, para después iniciar el viaje final hacia una supuesta vida "postmortem" (vejez y la muerte).
    Es un juego hermoso, con bellos paisajes, artísticos en su mayoría y muy bien realizados, llenos de detalles y con cambios de escenarios. Además, la banda sonora es idónea para este juego, se adapta a las situaciones y escenarios, llenando de harmonía los paisajes.
    Otro punto positivo y llamativo a la vez, que además lo podemos asociar con las fases de la vida, es que podemos encontrarnos con otros viajeros (con jugadores reales y no NPCs) y proseguir el viaje junto a ellos, cooperar y hacer más fácil la aventura y hacerla menos solitaria.
    En definitiva, se trata en mi opinión uno de los mejores juegos que he jugado, bello y profundo, con una duración que variará según la rapidez de tu forma de jugar, pero que sin duda te llenará de emoción y te hará reflexionar al terminar tu aventura.    … Expand

    The gameplay - the gameplay in the journey is very simple and fun, the game lets you use only two buttons - holding X will make your character fly, a short press on a circle will make the character make sounds, and holding a circle will make the character make a big sound that will attract pages The character's flight (yes the character has limited flight) and illuminate everything around him, the sounds the character emits when you click on a circle are like a light to the world of the game. To sum up the gameplay in the game is very basic but it does not need more than what it offers, because the story and adventure that you go through in Journey is the main and most important thing in the game.

    Final score - 8.5 / 10

    The story - the story in an amazing game, the adventure you go through is very fun, exciting, and touching. Without making you spoilers for the game, because this game is very short and the story is the main thing in the journey.     It's meant to be short and simple. There's nothing wrong with that, and I think this is the best kind of that game I've ever seen. Replayability somewhat exists in the achievements and the experience of meeting different people (although it's pretty dead now.) Almost cried at the end.

Todos os cenários apresentam características únicas, o que faz o player sentir que está progredindo na jornada. Já é a quarta ou quinta vez que eu zero, e duas delas eu joguei com um companheiro aleatório. Journey consegue mudar as emoções do usuário de forma impressionante, principalmente na queda do personagem naquela vala sombria; antes de cair, o jogador fica relaxado com horizonte, mas depois isso troca bem rápido para um estado de medo. Outra coisa interessante é como o co-op tem seu papel importante. Jogar sozinho é uma experiência totalmente diferente, então recomendo zerar single e multi. Um jogo de duração pequena, mas que merece uma nota grande. É uma obra de arte completa… Expand

    Oh man. This is definitively in masterpiece category, but I understand that it is not for everyone. Its very "arty" and soul moving, exactly what I like, but not what everyone likes. If you like art to touch your soul, you have to give it a try!

    Nossa jornada, objetivo que leva o nome do jogo, é chegar em uma montanha essa que teria "cuspido" de seu interior palavras, conhecimento, logos, fala, que dão poder ao mundo e as criaturas de Journey. Sendo assim a montanha é algum tipo de    Journey controlamos um protagonista sem nome, representante de uma raça, esse está andando por um deserto sem maiores significados e objetivos.
    Nossa jornada, objetivo que leva o nome do jogo, é chegar em uma montanha essa que teria "cuspido" de seu interior palavras, conhecimento, logos, fala, que dão poder ao mundo e as criaturas de Journey. Sendo assim a montanha é algum tipo de metáfora para algo divino.
    Nosso personagem encontra esse mundo já devastado, tornado por deserto e ruínas de um antes glorioso lugar.
    Journey conta a história de uma forma lúdíca e através observação mas não é um jogo sobre a história, não, mas muito mais sobre a experiência que essa jornada faz você sentir, uma experiência intima, sensorial, emotiva, onde você pode cruzar sozinhos ou encontrar outros players que seguirão a jornada junto a ti.
    Joguei pela primeira vez no PS4 e lembro de ter terminado o jogo em lagrimas!

    Remember that this game was made in 2012. This game is not meant to surprise you with its amazing graphics or game play. The game is simply beautiful in its own way. It may be boring or short, but it was only made as a piece of art. The visuals are by far the best part of this game, and surpasses a lot of other games.

These games had some nice ideas but were essentially little more than tech demos. Despite its difficult development their third title is however something special indeed.

The details and textures in the game are simply drool-worthy. It’s a technical achievement in so many ways. It’s some of the best graphics, if not THE best graphics ever seen in a downloadable game for any console.

    Overall, Journey delivers on an epic scale. The buildup getting to your final destination is exciting and once you’re there it just feels glorious, it’s very emotional to say the least.     So I started to play. Taking in the visuals, the sound, the atmosphere and suddenly it clicked. Journey is what it says on the box, a Journey. It's not about anything more than reaching your spiritual destination and taking in the wonders along the way. The game is a build up to a beautiful and mesmerising last act complemented by a haunting and moving soundtrack that (if invested in the game) can bring you to tears by the end. The sound track builds from calm flutes and woodwind instruments to a beautiful flowing and powerful crescendo using a wide variety of classic western and eastern instruments. The soundtrack as a standalone is worth purchasing.

    Journey really is a special experience.

    Journey is a piece of digital art, an experience. A small bit of escapism from reality. It is a relaxing experience, refreshing and thoughtful. Many modern games are all about stress: fast reactions, battles, violence and explosions. Journey is a rare break from the norm, a moment of relflection and peace. After playing I felt content, happy and warm.
    Along my Journey I met other players in the world I traveled with some for a while and simply sat down and reflected with others, one I communicated with through sounds, it was a very unique experience.

    The graphics are stunning at times, they are simple but the use of color and lighting add an artistic depth to the imagery that leaves a lasting impression. At one point the camera changes to a side angle while sliding down a sand dune into an ancient building, the sun is setting and the light shimmers off the ground making it look like water, if you took a screen shot and printed it, it would make a gorgeous framed picture.

    As a game, it's basic, there's no skill needed but that's not the point, it's more like an interactive piece of art, the trophies are annoying, It's unfair to throw in silly trophies like finding 10 creatures or a desert flower. It breaks the experience and I didn't want it to be broken for the sake a boring collection trophy.

    Journey needs to be judged different to the normal game type. That's why I can happily give the game a 9. Compared to masterpieces like The Witcher 3 or Dark Souls this may seem strange to rate a two hour game a 9, but in it's own category it achieves brilliance.

    Journey will be one of those games you will mention when discussion games as art and will stay with you as a a great gaming memory.    … Expand

Now the story in Journey is really what puts it together, as you go from area to area, you will unlock more of the context surrounding your "journey" to the top of the mountain, but this is very much a story that you have to piece together and perceive yourself. Once I got to the end of the story and discovered what lied atop that mountain, I felt things inside me that few video games can draw out and that is what makes this a truly special game. I felt Loneliness, wonder, curiosity, all until the end. Journey is a short game, measuring for me at about 4 hrs, but those were 4 hours that I enjoyed immensely. If you liked flower, you will LOVE this, if you like things that are a little different then you will be blown away by this. Even though the plot of this short game is very mysterious and definitely requires some digging to piece together, the sheer experience that this game delivers without a single line of spoken dialogue (A lot like Brothers, actually) is incredible and needs to be praised. Buy this game, or at the very least rent it. You won't regret it.

The blinding sandstorms, the windy currents, the flashy reflection of the sunlight in the golden-like sand, the coldness in the dark caves, the freezing blizzards, and above any natural interpretation, I could stand adoring the harmonious magic that surrounds you when flying the skies!
    Journey is a passive game which doesn't demand that much tactics or awareness, it's all about enjoying the views. I didn't know that until too late when after a couple of tries I was frustrated on the peacefulness of the setting. At the middle of the game I paused (which you actually can't, the character just sits down staring at beautiful place in which he/she is) and breathed for a moment, accepting the fact that this game isn't for speedruns, neither accomplishments. "It's all about enjoying the view" I repeated myself.
    I finally reached my destination, amazed by the conclusion, it couldn't end better. This is when I realized the game has it's purpose, to make the player seek the mountain because he's/she's commended too, but at the very end of the game, each one of them had his/her personal reasons, making all the game an analogy in which everyone seeks "his/her mountain".
    Another big surprise at the end of the game [NO SPOILERS] was the message after the credits saying: "Players met" and then I realized I wasn't there alone, those anonymous characters showing up randomly where actually people online playing aside me! I was astonished .
    If everything I just said isn't enough to grant this game a solid score, I'll leave my impression open to discuss. I started hating the game, criticizing reviewers by their lack of objectivity by thinking "maybe they were all high", by the end of the journey I proved my self wrong, this game has a long-run crescent satisfaction, full of surprises that you may not even notice until you are dinning, or working, or reviewing.
    Games like this remind me that guns, wheels and game balls aren't the only genders out there. There should be more devs interested in representing life as its own, as beautiful as it is, as beautiful as Journey is.    … Expand

The obvious downside here though is the value for money with the game only being a 2 hour experience. I have to deduct a least 1 point for the short duration and relatively high dollar-per-hour cost.

    *A 9.5 from me, as the PS4 version doesn't seem to take full advantage of the PS4's technical capabilities, but still an outstanding game that stands the test of time. You'll not regret playing this if you've missed out on last gen's.

    I generally like artistic games, and I did like Journey...just not as much as I thought I would. Maybe I built it up in my head too much. That being said, it is a beautiful game. The true beauty of the game comes after you beat it, when you start to think, "what was that?" I would really recommend reading what some theories on it - especially the "dying/death" one.

Its definietly not something you are going to sink a bunch of time into but at this point the low price point and low demand of time i'd recommend everyone with a ps3/4 give it a try. I really enjoyed my time with it and look forward to going through it again sometime in the future.

    8.7 из 10. Очень хорошая игра, учитывая, то что я её взял на халяву. В ней шикарно все. Графика, саунтрек, гемплей. Хорошая кооперативная игра, где ты должен бок о бок ходить за своим напарником чтобы не помереть.

    Beautiful and atmoshperic piece of art with great soundtrack and interesting story. You have to play it.

    This game is truly beautiful, I had such a blast playing it. Consider playing this game if you:

    - Appreciate art in games
    - Like a slow placed relaxed experience
    - Don't mind paying for a game that is only about 2 hours long and has close to no replay value

    If you do you don't regret it.
