    This game is truly beautiful, I had such a blast playing it. Consider playing this game if you:

    - Appreciate art in games
    - Like a slow placed relaxed experience
    - Don't mind paying for a game that is only about 2 hours long and has close to no replay value

    If you do you don't regret it.

    amazing game, i absolutely loved it. its less than 2 hours long and i think that is perfect! Its visualy beautiful and even more beautiful sounds. Play it!

    This is a prime example of a good idea executed well. Beautiful visuals and music, good controls and a great gameplay flow. Would probably rate it even higher but it's so damn short - will take you about 1 - 2 hours to complete, depending on your playstyle.

    "Journey" es un videojuego exclusivo de "Sony" originalmente lanzado para PS3 y que en 2015 se adaptó a PS4. Se trata sin duda de uno de los mejores "exclusivos" de la década pasada pero que sin embargo es muy diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados por parte de los "exclusivos de Sony" (God of War, Uncharted...). Es un videojuego, podríamos llamarlo, de aventuras pero que sin embargo es"Journey" es un videojuego exclusivo de "Sony" originalmente lanzado para PS3 y que en 2015 se adaptó a PS4. Se trata sin duda de uno de los mejores "exclusivos" de la década pasada pero que sin embargo es muy diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados por parte de los "exclusivos de Sony" (God of War, Uncharted...). Es un videojuego, podríamos llamarlo, de aventuras pero que sin embargo es mucho más que eso. Está centrado en el disfrute emocional, sensorial y visual. Esos aspectos son los más destacables y hacen de esta entrega una obra de arte.
    La acción comienza en un basto desierto, aparentemente carente de vida y controlaremos a un ser extraño, de una civilización lejana. Nuestro propósito es abrirnos paso a través de ese desierto e ir descubriendo sus secretos, sus vestigios de una civilización antigua y poderosa, que poco a poco será cada vez más notable. Aparte del desierto, en nuestro viaje recorreremos otros entornos mágicos y delicados y nos enfrentaremos a peligros mayores. Poco a poco iremos recogiendo una especie de runas que nos otorgaran poder en forma de poder volar con mayor autonomía. Esto es importante ya que el tamaño de la "bufanda" del personaje depende de estas runas y cuanto mayor sea la bufanda más podremos volar y así superar obstáculos con mayor facilidad.
    El viaje en sí, en mi opinión, es el recorrido de la vida hacia la muerte. Empezamos siendo débiles, pequeños ante un mundo desconocido y enorme (hace referencia hacia la niñez). Después iremos fortaleciéndonos y adentrándonos en la acción, descubriendo el mundo que nos rodea (adolescencia) y ya cuando dominemos los controles y tengamos poder nos armaremos de valor para seguir (madurez). Por último, el frío de las altas montañas y sus peligros nos debilitarán y al final caeremos rendidos, sin fuerzas, para después iniciar el viaje final hacia una supuesta vida "postmortem" (vejez y la muerte).
    Es un juego hermoso, con bellos paisajes, artísticos en su mayoría y muy bien realizados, llenos de detalles y con cambios de escenarios. Además, la banda sonora es idónea para este juego, se adapta a las situaciones y escenarios, llenando de harmonía los paisajes.
    Otro punto positivo y llamativo a la vez, que además lo podemos asociar con las fases de la vida, es que podemos encontrarnos con otros viajeros (con jugadores reales y no NPCs) y proseguir el viaje junto a ellos, cooperar y hacer más fácil la aventura y hacerla menos solitaria.
    En definitiva, se trata en mi opinión uno de los mejores juegos que he jugado, bello y profundo, con una duración que variará según la rapidez de tu forma de jugar, pero que sin duda te llenará de emoción y te hará reflexionar al terminar tu aventura.    … Expand

    Quite a disappointment. As I love philosophical topics, I thought I would enjoy the experience, but it appeared empty and boring. I like the idea, but not the effect. I feel that the simplicity, that should encourage you to think and "enjoy the silence" has no actual sense in this case. No matter how hard I tried to like like the game, I felt it's meaningless. Two points for nice visuals

    It takes me a long time to finish games because I like to admire the beauty and scenery within the game, but even I finished this in under 50 minutes. But the length of the game isn't important, It's the originality of the experience and beautiful artwork throughout. Maybe now it's the new generation of consoles we'll see a full length version with the same elements of mystery scattered throughout...    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Journey is a short game but a wonderful one. You start off the game by mysteriously waking up in the sand, and as you go throughout the first level learning your controls like any other video game it shows the player what this world is like and what the goal is. Once you make it to the second level you find another character with you, that player 2 makes the game what it is. The player 2 of the game is any random person who is playing the game. This is amazing as you dont know who they are until you finish the entire game. The person you are playing with could be your long lost twin and you wouldn't know until you finish the game. This pushes the players to help eachother as the only way to communicate is by using a sound button, because of this they have to work together without speaking to eachother at all, which this is a great concept as everyone I have played with on journey has been nice and helpful during the game.

    The game also centralizes this working together statement even later on in the game when you are able to be attacked by enemies who take your scarf which is how you can fly. When playing through the game you may try and help your partner but then have to leave them behind. These moments are somehow able to convey entire emotions as you try to signal your partner to follow you but you cant talk to eachother.

    While Journey is a short game with little exciting gameplay it is able to make you connect with anyone and have fun for the 2-4 hour game. 5/7 it's a good short game    … Expand

    Com certeza Journey é uma experiência diferente de outros jogos, e por isso acho que é um jogo nota 10 para esse estilo de jogo. Eu tentei achar algum defeito notável no jogo.. Mas sinceramente eu não achei.
    A experiência que eu tive nesse jogo é única. O modo como o jogo se desenvolve é simplesmente único. Eu fui entendendo ele de uma forma muito natural: como o pulo funcionava, como que o canto afetava aquelas faixas voadoras, e etc. E o que eu acho que é uma das coisas mais incríveis é o sentimento que eu tive jogando com outra pessoa. No início, eu achei que era um bot que estava comigo, e que ele só me mostrava o caminho. Mas depois percebi que era um player de verdade, e por causa da utilidade que cada jogador tem como outro (como recarregar as faixas que fazem você pular e planar) e dos momentos que passamos juntos durante a jornada, foi criada certa relação de importância entre meu personagem e o desse jogador. No final, quando estávamos na tempestade de neve morrendo, eu senti muito isso. Eu senti que eu e esse jogador precisávamos um do outro para sobreviver. Eu nunca tive uma experiência assim antes.

    Foi uma das melhores "primeiras experiências" que eu já tive em um jogo. Nota 10/10    … Expand

    Don't get me wrong, it is a visual treat, and the music is good. It's also a neat idea to have a random companion join you on your, well, journey.    Journey is a beautiful game with great visuals and audio, and I can recognise it's artistic merit. It's interesting having that companionship there despite the limited interactivity. The final moments of the game are also really strong and act as a touching climax.

    However, beyond that, there's not much to Journey. It's a very simple and short game, which isn't a problem, but in the roughly 2 hours it took me to finish it, I never really felt affected by the game. There's not much in the way of gameplay and there's no challenge, so your enjoyment of a game like this hinges on whether or not it can engage and entertain you by other means. Unfortunately, I didn't find the wordless story or Journey's other elements to be super compelling. It has its moments, but I don't get the hype.

    It's a decent, very pretty experience, and I like some of its ideas. Artistically, it does have some value, but as a game, it's one I was a little disappointed by.    … Expand

    Trust me, Journey is worth playing and is overall a pretty good game, but I think is quite overrated. I expected so much more and in some aspects let me down.

You just walk from point A to point B in a desert, sometimes there are ruins around and a dude joins you to overcome the tasks (and by tasks I mean: WALKING). A complete joke! I got this trash as the free game of the month at PS Plus and even then I feel like I was cheated. Just another proof the "CrItIc ReViEwS" section is aWorthless game I've ever played in my life, I'm dead serious.     5 horas......as melhores horas que já tive em um videogame, pra alguns isso pode soar um exagero, mas ao embarcar nessa jornada eu senti mais do que em qualquer outro jogo, vivenciei momentos emocionantes com um jogador aleatório que pode estar do outro lado mundo...e isso é incrível, de mais não consigo nem expressar o quão pessoal e poderoso esse jogo é pra mim.

    Я искренне не понимаю, почему эту парилку игрой называют? Может я от моды отстал, но называть это "игрой года"?    Видал я дерьмо, но такое!

    I think that game can be one of the most amazing game in play in nearly all Pc's. Because it has GORGEUS graphics and without 2-3 scenes never down 60fps. Have very good musics and cutscenes. A game to relax and chill.(If my English is bad I'm sorry.)

    Finally got around to playing this. It centres on some interesting philosophical ideas. Satisfying and short enough to play in one sitting. Visually, it will hold up for a long a time due to its art style. Sound track fits perfectly and is well orchestrated alongside the gameplay.     Journey is a game that every player must experience once in their life. It is only 2 hours long so it can be finished in one sitting. For me it is one of the most unique experience I have ever had.

I really think in retrospect, this game made people look at Indie games more seriously and actually inspired many indie devs to go for ideas they thought wouldn't work or were afraid people wouldn't appreciate them.     It is not a game for those who just like AAA, it is much more contemplative and brilliant. About Platinum, it's very simple, you just need to find all the few collectibles and be lucky to find a player who finishes the game with you, which is very easy.

    Oh my God. Where do I start? To all the people that just don't get it, I genuinely feel bad that you cannot experiece what I just did. This game was literally chilling. My hair was standing up. I honestly don't know if a game has ever made me feel this way. It's a walking simulator, but on such a different level. It is hard to believe that so much beauty can come in such a small package. Bravo.

    This game would've been more enjoyable if I played it when it came out. I only played it recently and just didn't enjoy it much. It is a unique game. Maybe I will play it again and then I will be able to enjoy it more.

    The visual style is good, the soundtrack and effects are great, but the game is limited. It's more like an emotional experience than a story, like an interactive painting. Worth playing it at least once.

    JUGABILIDAD: El concepto de Journey es interesantísimo. Somos emparejados con otro jugador, del que no sabemos ni siquiera su nombre de usuario, y debemos hacer nuestro viaje con él o ella. Es extraño cómo el juego es capaz de crear un nivel de compañerismo tan profundo con alguien con quien no puedes comunicarte y que acabas de "conocer". Es extraño la fuerza del    Un Viaje Para Dos.

    JUGABILIDAD:
    El concepto de Journey es interesantísimo.
    Somos emparejados con otro jugador, del que no sabemos ni siquiera su nombre de usuario, y debemos hacer nuestro viaje con él o ella. Es extraño cómo el juego es capaz de crear un nivel de compañerismo tan profundo con alguien con quien no puedes comunicarte y que acabas de "conocer". Es extraño la fuerza del lazo que puedes hacer, en cuestión de segundos, con una persona de la cual no volverás a saber nada.

    En mi partida, la persona en cuestión ya conocía los "secretos" del mapa y tengo que confesar que dejarme guiar por alguien más, y el esforzarme por no "fallarle" a ese desconocido, ha sido una de las experiencias mas increíbles en mi vida como jugador. Si me lo hubieran contado no lo hubiera creído.

    Eso es lo mejor y lo principal, de ahí en fuera la jugabilidad es muy simple: en pareja, debemos explorar unas zonas hermosas en busca del santuario al que debemos llegar para seguir avanzando. Podemos avanzar con el joystick, saltar, volar durante pocos segundos.
    Hay un par de áreas que debemos cruzarlas deslizándonos por la arena, y han sido especialmente divertidas. En algunas otras seremos empujados por el viento, frenados por la nieve, o cazados por destinas criaturas. Todo, claro está, sin separarnos de nuestro compañero.

    GRÁFICOS:
    Visualmente deslumbrante, el juego presenta un estilo minimalista con una paleta de colores acertada. Todo está dibujado de tal forma que el mapa se siente gigantesco (claro que no lo es), y la exploración y el avance son un deleite, así como los juegos de luces y los escenarios en sombras

    La parte final del juego... wow.

    SONIDO:
    Una banda sonora de 10, todos los momentos están ambientados de forma espectacular. En éste juego en particular, la música juega un papel de gran importancia. A través de ella es que experimentamos los sentimientos que el juego busca transmitir, y creo que el soundtrack es en gran parte la razón de que desarrollemos ese lazo tan importante con el otro jugador.

    Una vez más lo digo: la parte final... wow.

    INNOVACIÓN:
    Journey es un juego único. ¿Podría haber ciertas inspiraciones? Probablemente, en lo personal me hace recordar juegos como SOTC, pero su concepto es especial. Muy especial.    … Expand

    Thoroughly enjoyed this game. I got it for free through PS plus a couple of months ago and my only issue with it is that I wish it was longer. I have played through at least 10 times since getting it and each time I am surprised at how easily I get sucked into the story.

    One word: masterpiece!
    The game is short (around 2 hours to finish it) but awesome. The music is beautiful, the graphics are nice, the story is deep and the ending is spectacular. We need more games like this!

    One of the most hyped games ever. There are not dialogues. There are games with better graphics than this game. It felt more like a walking simulator than an actual game. I do not understand the hype. I don't feel it poetic either. It's just a game where I had to walk for 2 hours doing nothing. May be others might have loved it, but, for me , personally, this game is way over hyped.!

    Magnificent journey. First time I've seen this game many years ago on youtube and fall in love with it instantly.
    It's really great and I'm glad they export it on PC so much more gamers can experience this masterpiece.

    One of the most surprising and delightful finds of my two decades as a gamer. Journey was a powerful reminder of the need for wonder, introspection and connection with others. The short playtime also adds to the experience in a way, I don't know how to explain it, its just remarkable and worth experiencing for yourself.

    Beautiful game that I can't help but always love. The seamless Co-op with people you have never meet and likely won't meet again is a wonderful addition. By the end I was a wreck while chiming away with a complete stranger who i hope also ended with the same feelings. Music and looks are top notch but my only gripe would be I wish i could play for longer in this fantastic world.

Its a fine little game you can play for 2 hours and definitely has it's moments especially towards the end. it does a great job with environmental storytelling and is artistically beautiful but it doesn't do enough in my opinion to warrant anything higher than a 7.     In my opinion not so great game, like all critics and players say. Yes, it is very beautiful in some moments, it is rather meditative sometimes, but there are nothing else. All this beauty and senses you have to find by yourself, and it is right, but i dont think that it's enough from game to give you only textures and music.

The multiplayer aspect of this game allows you to see other players also embark on their journeys towards the same goal. You cannot talk or interact with them, but you may choose to join them, and complete your journey together.
    The game is undeniably beautiful, and while playing I found myself pausing multiple times, simply to look around and take in the wide landscapes around me. Each level contains collectibles called Symbols, and secrets called Glyphs, which are a joy to find and collect. The reward for doing this is equally satisfying.

    Journey only sets out to do a few things as a game, but it perfectly nails all of those points. My only gripe with the game while playing was that it could sometimes be a bit tedious to walk long distances, to get from one side of a level to another. Especially in the third desert level there are some long walks that take some time. However, other than that, I do not regret my time spent playing this game in the slightest, and I look forward to revisiting it once more at a later time.    … Expand

    For me Journey and Inside are like the two sides of a coin. They have similar gameplay mechanics, great atmosphere, easy puzzles, a little platforming and they both focus on story.

    Not really my cup of tea. Wouldn't have played it if it wasn't for free. I have to admit is looks really nice, but it's very short and I don't see a way I would replay it. I can't find any satisfaction playing or finishing it. Not a bad game, but looking at the reviews, it is definitely overrated.

A bit like with 'Shadow of the Colossus' there's a reverence to this Playstation exclusive game that paints it as something truly special. I can appreciate the best things it has to offer. I liked the challenge of finding a co-op partner. I liked what that could mean in terms of trying to clear collectibles (as in they can get cleared before you get to them yourself). I appreciate that the game has ideas that do unexpected or untried things, for at least at the time. It's fine, but I can't honestly put this up there with the like of the best gaming has to offer during this generation, no way. I mean, this is a top 10 or 20 placing on Metacritic, right? It feels like this is basically a competent mobile puzzler / platformer to me. The rudimentary controls definitely suit it. And it's up to 2 hours at the high end/max to do a full run of the story.

    All that being said, it's not like I had to pay for this title as of writing. It came free through a Sony initiative for anybody with a Playstation. Generally though, this 'should' be very cheap as like I said, it could easily have been a strictly mobile gaming thing.    … Expand

    A brilliantly simple yet captivating game following a mysterious figures quest through various mini worlds. The online aspect is cool - you will be joined by another player but it’s non-invasive and definitely adds to the experience. Well worth a play through which will take roughly a couple of hours, a game to experience and reflect on.

    Game with an incredible artistic section, the truth is I am surprised because I did not know this game and I played it at once. To put a snag, I do not like to rate a game 'by weight' but it was too short. However, recommended.

    As a ultra-summary, it is a beautiful experience. I encourage anyone to give a shot to this game. In no more than 3h it completely engages you in the simplistic but at the same time gorgeous adventure.
