    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I loved this game. The graphics, the super powers, and the story are just tops. Stop reading this review and go play it (and First Light) right now.

    Why I gave it 9/10 despite the above:

    1. I wish there was more to do after the last boss (if you haven't already cleared all the districts like I did);

    2. I think the difficulty spikes too much for certain bossed; and

    3. You get the fourth elemental power really late in the game ... like at the last boss.

    REAL SPOILERS BEGIN:

    Like it's predecessors, inFamous and inFamous 2, this is a game where you're dropped in a sandbox (or open world if you prefer) and have super powers to level up and bad guys to kill. You have to uncover the plot of some unscrupulous super villain.

    The characters are done well here too. Like Kessler, Augustine is of the mind that the ends justify the means and it works perfectly. Reggie is always protecting his brother, and I was sad when Reggie died even though I already knew he would. Fetch and Eugene even get mini-arcs of their own. It's great. Delsin's maturing throughout the game doesn't feel forced, but rather a natural response to his circumstances.

    As you go there are technically two enemy factions - the DUP and some drug dealers. I suppose there are also the police if you play on "evil karma", but I only did the good karma path. The drug dealers don't have much personality, but the DUP and their conduits are really good antagonists.

    I love that each encounter in this open world - aside from some story missions - can be done anyway you want. Lots of bad guys? Maybe just start from on top of a building and slam down. Or take out the cameras first.... or switch powers because maybe video is better here than smoke or neon.

    An improvement from inFamous and inFamous 2 is travelling and traversal. You can basically fly in this game if you level up and time your jumps. It makes getting around town - or running from enemies - really easy.

    The powers are also cool - you have 4 to choose from, smoke, neon, video and concrete. Each is unique and better for different things. I preferred neon to the rest, but that's just a preference. They all feel balanced.

    The only complaints I have are more like nitpicks:

    1. I have the habit of clearing out all available side missions and districts BEFORE taking on story missions. So when I got video - there was only like 5 missions to go. I didn't get to use concrete at all outside of the last mission because the game was done when I defeated Augustine.

    So I wish there was more to do for someone like me. I did download First Light and that has more of an end-game in the arena challenges, so I scratched that itch, just not with the main game.

    2. I didn't like being given concrete at the last boss and then having to master it on the fly. Last bosses should be the culmination of everything you learned, not just some new mechanic introduced that needs to be mastered immediately. I played the whole game on normal, but lowered the difficulty to easy for the last boss because of this weird difficulty spike.

    3. Further to #1 I didn't get to use concrete much because I literally got it at the end of the game - because of the way I play.

    But those are blips in what was otherwise I really fun experience.

    It makes me wonder why developers don't make more games like this one. It's 10-20 hours of quality, replayable with different karma/powers and feels complete.

    Ah... back when games weren't just grind fests trying to suck money out of your wallet.... Seriously in 2021 it's a breath of fresh air to finally play this and First Light (the DLC).

    Infamous is a series I’ve always wanted to get into but was never able to due to me not owning a PS3. One day I’ll play the first 2, but I got to experience Second Son and I loved it. The story is pretty good too, I played it safe by being a Hero but I’d love to do a Evil playthrough someday since villains always get the coolest powers. It kinda bugged me how you only had 3 powers to play with for the whole game and only get the 4th after the final boss, it’s a pretty OP ability though so it made the post game a cakewalk. This game isn’t afraid to kick your teeth in at times though, especially at the beginning I was struggling a lot. But if you play smart, you’ll be rewarded, and that’s my favorite kind of difficulty. One that dances on the line of don’t be stupid and you won’t die stupid deaths. Overall, it’s a great exclusive to experience.… Expand

    Playing this for the first time, using a ps5. It's an OK game. Controls feel kind of floaty, and the lighting makes it hard to see. The powers are kind of underwhelming and odd (smoke, neon, video?).

    As a game that is basically free these days, it may be worth a few hours dabbling, but I quickly grew tired of it after probably 10-15 hours, and am probably not going back

    One of the first games I played for ps4 , its hard to remember but I remember the game being cool but it wasn't anything to write home to mom about it was cool but could have been better

    The game is so fun to play. Story is cliche but good. Characters are fine. Gameplay is so much fun. Graphics are still amazing. Open world is not bad. Side activities are same.

    Unforgettable gaming experience.

    A really great and unique game.
    I played this game when it came out over 7 years ago, and still remember the fun I had whilst playing it.
    I really can't think of anything negative to say about this game.

    That's why I definitely recommend you to play this game, if you haven't already.

    This game is nothing like infamous !!!!!! Garbage textures , poor shadows even though my brightness is set to highest! , repetetive full of stupid side missions!!!!!! Really bad game and i mean it , frustrating gameplay. Slow upgardes ,No good city design , no skycrapers like the 1st infamous (the prison) so many unused abilities , game feels mixed with stuff that doesn’t fit the storyThis game is nothing like infamous !!!!!!     Falta alguna misión secundaria con un poco más de peso, con algo de historia. Una pena que uno de los poderes más molones lo consigas tan tarde. Si no fuera por estas 2 cosas, le daría un 9.

    Боёвка, ну она оригинальная, для серии, и просто не надоедает до самого финала. В игре можно стрелять, прыгать, летать, телепортироваться и т.д.
    Сюжет мне тоже понравился, особенно если рассматривать его вместе с дополнением First Light. Повествование так же не линейно и от него зависит окончание всей игры.
    В игре запоминающиеся персонажи с очень хорошей лицевой анимацией. За них переживаешь, а это главное для атмосферной, сюжетной игры. Есть также и романтическая нить, но увидеть её можно только проходя игру определённым образом.
    Атмосфера, да она здесь есть, в игре, как я уже говорил, очень приятно находиться.
    Прокачка персонажа мне тоже очень понравилась. Новые способности получаешь по прохождении боссов.
    БОССЫ! Да в игре они есть! И они мне очень понравились. Единственное, что меня не порадовало, это то, что не дают поиграть в сюжет с последним полученным умением, его можно использовать только после окончания сюжета, в открытом мире. Кстати, об открытом мире. В нем всегда есть чем заняться, нет ощущения пустоты. Даже после прохождения основной истории.
    Прошел игру дважды с разными концовками. Единственное, что огорчило, ёлы палы этого мало! Мне хочется еще таких красивых, бесшабашных, весёлых, удобных, да просто офигенных игр, ещё, ещё, ещё!!! Очень хотелось бы продолжения, но если оно и выйдет то уже на PS5, а не на PS4. Есть схожая игра: Sunset Overdrive, но на других платформах.
    В общем, игра великолепная, тем более как эксклюзив PS4, обязательна в коллекции любого владельца консоли!    … Expand

    Strong ps4 exclusive. Gameplay is very pleasing and basically drugs you with new experience of infamous games. Story is very intresting but some missions may be a little difficult for Sunday players.

    Good game for early generation has great graphics and good gameplay. The story is cool but superficial the characters are well built. The game plays a lot in the repetition.

    Powers galore! its so dope how Delson equips his powers. the combat is so entertaining to use and very distinctive from each other plus they come with their own SUPER finisher move thingy. the story is lengthy and world is very detailed and feels lived in and overran by the D.U.Ps. boss fights are unique as hell and a bunch of side activities to do. PS4 seller for sure.

    It's more like a flashy game with colourful abilities than a brutal game that it used to be.

    Sin duda de los juegos más infravalorados de esta generación, es de lo más divertido que puedes jugar, es muy bueno en todo lo que pretende lograr, si no jugaste los Infamous anteriores no te preocupes, la relación es mínima

Мб мне не заходят игры от Сакер Панч (в отличие от игр Ноти Дог), мб просто конкретно эти две игры (инФэймоус и Призрак Цусимы) немного не по мне, и одна или две маленькие детали портят мне экспириенс от игры. Мб в более хорошемВ общем, примерно через 7 часов игры мне надоело, и я не думаю, что смогу пройти эту игру. Боёвка неудобная и бессмысленная, сюжет так себе, Сиэтл унылый.     I liked the game. It was fun and enjoyable to play. I can't say that the story really hooked me. But playing was not boring and the main character did not irritate me.
    Overall a good game. I think if I had played it in 2014, I would have been much more impressed.

El hecho de que podías tomar tus propias decisiones que afectaban al gameplay se sentía bastante profundo, acabe el juego como 5 veces y nunca me aburrí. Otra cosa que me encanto fue que cada vez que avansabamos en el karma el símbolo de la espalda y la ropa cambiaban. No puedo esperar para que salga un próximo juego de la saga.… Expand

    Infamous: Second Son feels more like a spin-off to Infamous 1 & 2 than like a sequel. The main character is a loser that takes no responsibility for his actions (whether you gain Good or Bad Karma doesn't matter). Delsin Rowe gets himself and others in danger repeatedly, and only thinks short term. He's the definition of a Millennial. Unfortunately, neither the villains or "Good guys" in this game have much of a brain, well except for Reggie.

    The previous games choose to have a cartoonish look to them, trading in realistic graphics for art style. With this entry it is mostly gone in favour of more realistic graphics. At times it looks beautiful, but i don't see the point. Shadow and black in this game is so dark that it will block your view, followed by flashing you with very bright light. It's rather uncomfortable. Without the art style from the previous games it is also harder to see what's happening on screen, and it feels more tame. What happened to the colour full monsters?

    But gameplay wise, Infamous Second Son does entertain. The better you get, the more you will use elevation, environmental objects and different powers. At Hard it feels like enemies are spamming you a bit too much, but it is manageable. The climbing system feels rather broken though. Delsin jumps on objects very inaccurate, and usually doesn't grab ledges that are right under his nose. Once you get Neon you won't have to climb anymore thankfully.

    I do hope that some studio returns to the Infamous franchise someday, but rather from an angle AGAINST the conduits. I would like to see more DUP soldiers that have genuine motivations to hunt the conduits, even if they might be conduits themselves.

    A fun game, but a bit of a tame and dumb game as well. It is a good game overall, and i give it a 7/10.    … Expand

    Achei repetitivo, mas o jogo é divertido e visualmente bonito, a historia é nota 6 medíocre porque não surpreende em momento algum e não tem grandes plots, o jogo não é muito memorável mas é divertido

    Just a great game overall and great graphics still to this day with cool power effects like the neon colors. It doesnt do anything amazing or special but good average open world game with decent story and cool concept with powers and looks graphically great and overall it is another open world that is a better one and is unique in its own way

    Personally, I chose to be good in my playthrough, and although this was quite a short game, I won't be going back to play the other side for the time being. I did enjoy my playthrough, but this isn't the best game out there.

    Infamous can be quite fun thanks to the four sets of powers you unlock, but unfortunately the protagonist Delsin feels quite clunky to control, at least at first, and even throughout the game I thought the combat felt too loose. It can be exciting and chaotic, but it can also feel unsatisfying because it's hard to tell how close you are to dying, and because there isn't much depth to the melee or ranged combat. The sets of powers could've done with being more functionally distinct - besides having their own visual identities, there are a lot of similarities in how they actually play. Overall, the combat never fully clicked with me, but I liked it enough.

    Traversal can be fun, if a little clumsy, but the climbing, which you admittedly don't have to do much of, is too fiddly.

    Second Son is still a decent looking game in 2020, and the powers all have a unique visual style to them, but the world just looks way too dark sometimes and it's hard to tell what's going on. When you unleash your powers it all looks flashy as the screen fills with impressive particle effects, but the frame rate can be very unstable when there's a lot of action happening.

    The open world shows its age a bit in its basic design, as there's barely anything to do except for what is essentially liberating districts. The side content is all very simple and easy to get through quickly. None of it is too much of a chore, but none of it is particularly interesting. The spray painting activities are quite unique and cool but very gimmicky.

    The story is passable, and as others have pointed out the lore seems quite inspired by X Men. Most of the characters aren't very likeable, and Delsin can be quite annoying which made me struggle to get invested in Infamous Second Son.

    As it is, this is still a fun, short title with some good replayability. It doesn't do anything exceptionally well, but it's still a decent game.    … Expand

    A decent superhero game but the story lacks interest. The bosses were pathetic and the rest of the enemies can be easily defeated with some button smashing. The level design was cool and all, but it didn't really hook me in. Bought, played, sold, and never again.

    Theres a lot to like here but I still preferred the original Infamous to this.I will say that Delsin is pretty likable for a hero and his powers are fun to mess around with but This game almost felt more like a tech demo for the PS4 than an actual game. Its surprisingly short only about half as long as the original game was. But for what it is, its a pleasant fun time.

    Graphics: Awesome. The neon lights, the city. The reason I got PS4 was for this visuals.
    Story: It isn't like an rpg game where you have diverse options but yeah you can be evil or good. Being evil is fun in a way. The story isn't that great to be honest and some side missions are a bit repetitive.

    Fantastic voice acting and visuals.
    Gameplay is smooth and combat evolves at a nice pace.
    Story is pretty thin and ultimately its weak point. The good vs evil story progression is nice, but mostly falls flat, particular when playing on evil karma.
    The game is incredibly easy to beat on the hardest difficulty, and appears to be much easier playing as evil vs good.

    Awesome Game. Played it through twice back to back. They added HDR and PS4 Pro support. And it makes it very good looking in 2020, even it is a 2014 game! It has a good flow.

Цветастое безумие, творящееся на экране, совсем не надоедает, декорации выполнены красиво, но местами игре не хватает детализации и мелких объектов. Из плюсов ещё можно отметить возможность снять ограничение по частоте кадров, но на базовой и Slim-версии консоли стабильных 60 кадров получить не удастся, а сам флеймрейт будет довольно часто проседать до 30 к/с, так что я рекомендовал бы играть со включенным локом на 30 фпс. Владельцы Pro могут спокойно наслаждаться 60 к/с.

    Сюжет. Он незамысловат, но подан качественно. Главный герой игры по имени Делсин Роу случайно получает суперспособности и с тех пор его жизнь наполняется приключениями. В сюжете есть место как юмору, так и драме, философии и моральному росту персонажа. Отлично прописаны характеры героев. Есть возможность отыгрывать как героя, так и антигероя - это влияет на кат-сцены и на концовку игры, а также на отношение к протагонисту со стороны простых людей. В игре нет побочных квестов (если не считать одно дополнение) как таковых - только различные повторяющиеся активности, что отчасти минус. С другой стороны, ничто не отвлекает от центрального сюжета.

    Геймплей. Собственно, то, за что я и полюбил эту игру. Боевая система замечательная, система прокачки вариативна и зависит от выбранного игроком пути Героя или Отступника. Есть интересные боссфайты и хорошо обыгранные сюжетные миссии. В игре много побочных активностей, однако в рамках одного вида они мало отличаются друг от друга, да и мир к изучению совсем не располагает.

    Плюсы
    + Неплохая графика.
    + Динамичный и разнообразный геймплей.
    + Интересный сюжет.
    + Игра использует возможности Dualshok'а по максимуму.

    Минусы:
    - Проблемы с детализацией окружения.
    - Пустой открытый мир, который не интересно изучать.
    - Репетативные побочные активности.

    Моя оценка: 7.5 из 10 - хорошая игра, не шедевр, но и не "проходняк", как говорят многие. Добротная история с красивой картинкой и весёлым, бодрым геймплеем в пустоватом открытом Сиэтле.    … Expand

    o meu unico problema com este jogo é que nao é um jogo facil, mesmo na dificuldade mias baixa alguns jogadores podem se ver presos durante algum tempo em certos boss...

It was quite a step-back narrative-wise and the main character was very uninteresting and edgy compared to Cole Macgrath.     Despite this being a 2014 launch title, I still go back and play this game sometimes just to enjoy the graphics. The neon lights and wet road reflections are really enjoyable. Gameplay really stepped up compared to previous games in the series. I do miss Cole though.

    Althought not as good as it's series' predecessors, Second Son feels like a refreshing side-story in the same world. The new protagonist isn't as good as Cole, but he still manages to be an adequate leading man for the story. The variety of new powers is fun and allows you to mix and match. Overall not a stand-out experience but a good sequel that serves to continue the Infamous story.

    inFAMOUS Second Son is great within the first two playthroughs, but I think this is a major step down for the series. All my opinion. The story feels too generic, and isn't as engaging as, say the first inFAMOUS. Characters are uninteresting accept for two characters. Side missions have no value and the map isn't as fun to explore as in the first two games.

    The game narrative with its ups and downs, the main group of characters are charismatic, but is very little explored during a game campaign, sees very little development, making some moments more difficult to make a big impact on the plot.

Empecemos por su apartado visual, el juego es genial en lo grafico y tecnico no me he encontrado con ningun Bug, ni nada por el estilo en ese apartado le doy un 10 de 10 recordemos que este fue de los primeros juegos de PS4 y aun asi nos dejo con un apartado visual increible
    segundo: Jugabilidad en este apartado no tiene nada que envidiar de otros juegos aunque sean mas actuales, los poderes ahora son mucho mas variados que en su precuela tenemos varios como: Concreto, Neón, Video y obviamente eo poder del Humo, estos poderes hacen que la exploracion por el mapa sean mucho menos tediosos. Un gran error que cometen varios juegos de mundo abierto es que tengas que viajar del punto A al punto B le prestes mas atencion al minimapa que al mismo entorno en si, en Second Son no ocurre esto ya que te diviertes con los poderes y es para mi de los pocos juegos que sus misiones secundarias son buenas, el sistema de combate esta mas pulido que sus antecesores Le doy un 10 de 10 tercero: Banda Sonora la banda sonora de este juego te dejara tarareando sus canciones, como por ejemplo la del final del juego, en este apartado le doy un 9.2 de 10
    Cuarto dificultad: la dificultad en normal y dificil esta bastante bien lograda pero pudo ser mejor el juego es facil muchas veces en este apartado le doy un 8.6 de 10
    Es unos de los juegos que te recomendaria si tienen una ps4

    Lo bueno: - Gran variedad de poderes y habilidades que nos dan muchas opciones en combate. - Las características de estos mismos poderes hacen que la exploración de la ciudad y la obtención de los coleccionables sea mucho más ágil y en general menos tedioso. Lo malo: -    Juego que no está mal pero que en mi opinión se queda bastante lejos de lo que fueron los infamous de PS3.

    Lo bueno:
    - Gran variedad de poderes y habilidades que nos dan muchas opciones en combate.
