    Story is very engaging and the world is beautiful. Combat was surprisingly profound and the enemy design allows for creative battles. One of the most underrated games of the generation.

But there's a character - Sylens - who appears and is critical to the game, and who is incredibly condescending to Aloy. Like, constantly belittling her and treating her like crap. It made the game MUCH less fun to play, because the authors of the game thought that treating Aloy abusively was somehow additive. It made me really hate who parts of the game.… Expand

    I will never understand the praise this game gets. I played through the entire game, and it was painful. Let's start off by looking at the good stuff, which are very few btw, the combat system is great. Everything feels realy satisfying when you use the bow etc, The world is also beautifully crafted, and it has stunning visuals.
    My biggest problem is the voice acting. Not a single voice    I will never understand the praise this game gets. I played through the entire game, and it was painful.     My biggest problem is the voice acting. Not a single voice actor here is good, they all talk like robots. The dialogue is so cringy, and I feel like an alien that has never interacted with humans before, wrote the script. The dialogue "cutscenes" are awkward as hell, the facial animations is on par with the same emotions furby toys show with their faces. For some reason, the voice actors seems to have a 3second pause between every sentence sometimes, and it was really annoying. I probably skipped 80% of the games dialogue, and I pray to Guerilla, that the sequel will be better, because there is so much potential here.    … Expand

    Horizon Zero Dawn is a very pretty game that offers plenty of fun, and kept me entertained for about 20 hours. However, I struggled to stay invested in its story or world, and its simplistic skill tree failed to get me invested into the task of improving my combat capabilities. This is a shame, because there is clearly an excellent game here with a relatively interesting open world -Horizon Zero Dawn is a very pretty game that offers plenty of fun, and kept me entertained for about 20 hours. However, I struggled to stay invested in its story or world, and its simplistic skill tree failed to get me invested into the task of improving my combat capabilities. This is a shame, because there is clearly an excellent game here with a relatively interesting open world - however, it doesn't feel like the game does anything with particular excellence, in my mind - it is all very good, but not great.

    What I think I can fairly say about Horizon Zero Dawn is that it is a good game - it is one that attempts to refine a formula, and nears success in that regard. I truly wish I were able to concur with the praise that many respectable critics and players have had for this game, but find myself considering this game to be rather middling.    … Expand

    Just an epic game with minor flaws. This has to be one of the top 5-10 games made for the ps4, and the start of one of the very best franchises ever made.

    Good and enjoyable game. Gameplay is amazing and open world feels full. Graphics are nice and view of enviroment is nice. Story was also interesting. But for me personally biggest flaw in this game was main character with her holier-than-thou attitude and her interactions with others. 8/10

    Machine combat, which is most of the enemies, is excellent. It always feels fair and makes you think tactically, and choose the right approach for each enemy. The machines are really quite impressive, each quite different, with good artificial intelligence. Some are dinosaur themed (Thunderjaws, Watchers) but most aren't- there are a lot of misleading comments about this. They are mainly intended to replicate modern fauna- deer, cattle, wolves, lions, crocodiles, tigers, crabs, buffalos and others.

    The core story is very strong, and the overarching background is actually quite fascinating. Learning the truth of the machines is a gripping journey.

    There is plenty to do, and its fun to just get into fights to see if you can make it out alive.

    The environment, with its stunning views, weather and water effects, wildlife, swaying grass and ambient sounds is second to none. And there are plenty of collectibles and tasks to get you to explore it all.

    Downsides?
    A few, but not enough to spoil it.
    Fighting the human enemies is fairly unsatisfying. Most can be easily beaten by picking them off by stealth or simply culling them one by one with a spear.

    The side stories are mainly pretty dull, consisting of rescuing hapless villagers from machines/bandits, solving crimes by following easily signposted footprints or blood trails, or acting as a glorified courier. There are a couple of exceptions.

    Aloy's sarcasm gets a bit wearing at times, and is a bit out of place for most of the game; until she becomes a genuine badass. Story dialogue overall is a bit weird too, a big step down from recent Rockstar games for example. It has a tendency to go on a bit too long at times. Less is often more, developers!    … Expand

    Becouse how generic and boring this game was i can't start Horizon Forbidden West. Looks like that one has better visuals and combat mechanics but saw the character design and dialogs are still bad in that game. Mid game imo

    I liked the game, the mechanics, the story was amazing. Graphics and mocap was lazy at most times, NPCs had no life in them. Frozen Wild was an improvement in that sense to the base game.

Alloy’s equipment is very irrelevant, and choices during the game won’t change a lot the story, but for sure it’s still a time worthy game, the last hour make everything clear and give you the real value of the whole game.     eu classifico esse jogo muito bem pois eu ja zerei ele duas vezes e as vezes que eu zerei ele a minha experiência foi incrível, ele tem uma historia muito boa, gráficos absurdos, e um esquema de inimigos muito diferente do convencional, da vontade de jogar só para derrotar os inimigos pois o esquema de combate é muito legal e dinâmico. parabéns a equipe.

    Tenía buena pinta, pero me ha parecido soporífero a más no poder.
    El inicio está muy bien, y el combate llega a ser de notable, pero lo de ir de una punta a otra del mapa sólo para una conversación vacía se me hace bola.
    Pero entiendo que haya gente a la que le puede gustar este tipo de juegos.
    Horizon simplemente no es para mí.

    REAL SCORE 8.6. This is a unique game. Whit a unique combat, world, enemies, story but with a so common section of RPG that it holds the game back. With a not that astonishing open world, it is solid.

    A good game that i would recommend to everyone that has a PS4, but probably after 10 games they do what this game does, but much better.

РПГ система полный провал, диалоги пустые выбора нет. К самому лору данного мира есть куча вопросов. Ближний бой просто посмешище, можно забыть про него сразу. Сюжет крайне душный и не интересный.Непонимаю всеобщей восторженности от игры, как по мне довольно проходной проект.     Horizon Zero Dawn is a quality game. It falters in some areas but is overall a solid title. While it went with some design choices I personally may not have cared for I can't say it's not a solid title. Despite its flaws, I'm still extremely excited to dive into Forbidden West. For a new IP, it's awe-inspiring what Gorilla Games has accomplished.

    This game has some great idea from fighting robot dinosaur . Gameplay needed was just okay characters and the dialogue I didn't even care . Aloy is a react character and it is the same problem Laura in the reboot tomb raider . It's like they don't know how real people talks like .

    Can be described the same way as I did for Marvel's Spider-man with one exception: Horizon has a better plot, that holds the intrigue until the last act. All the other typical diseases are still present though

    I bought a Playstation just to play this game..lol And to be honest, it was 100% worth it. This game and Days Gone makes it worth it to have a PS. HZD is a beast. So much to do and one of the best looking games of its generation. Such a great game!

    El juego que supuestamente se vio opacado por Breath of the Wild... proponiendo un mundo abierto más vivo y mejor que el suyo. Es radicalmente diferente a él, pero creo sinceramente que están al nivel. El nacimiento de una de las mejores IP de los últimos años.

    I own the pc version of the game and use a ps5 controller to play it, the art design, graphics and game play is great. The only real problem i found with the game play is that sometimes the game throws 5 sawtooths in 1 level, and if you didn't know already sawtooths are boss fights on its own, i rage quit the game 10 times already in 11 hours but most of the time i come back in half anI own the pc version of the game and use a ps5 controller to play it, the art design, graphics and game play is great. The only real problem i found with the game play is that sometimes the game throws 5 sawtooths in 1 level, and if you didn't know already sawtooths are boss fights on its own, i rage quit the game 10 times already in 11 hours but most of the time i come back in half an hour and finish the level in attempts.… Expand

    Excellent game. It was a little bit slow at the start with a lot of dialogue in the mothers heart area but it steadily progresses once you leave the home valley. The post apocalyptic world with ancient technology really makes for an interesting environment in the game.

    Beautiful world and deep combat. Two major things got right but naught else has been. Everyone is a robot and the plot is extremely shallow, despite the great potential, and makes for a real waste. Looting and crafting is incredibly boring and unintuitive. One of those games that's fun in the moment but would never really go back to.

    An awesome game,play experience with unique story. Decent story length and pretty good side missions.
    I was really enjoying the play-trough of the main game and the DLC also. Variety of robots you meet will always be fun and a challenge at the same time.

    Juego de mundo abierto con una historia muy buena, la cual te tiene enganchado hasta el último momento. La jugabilidad es notable y el diseño de los personajes y bichos excelente. También mejora mucho el juego el sistema de combate, el cual te obliga a adaptarte a cada enemigo.

    Al principio me costó un poco adaptarme al juego y empatizar con los pj y los enemigos y el entorno , incluso creo que lo dejé aparcado un tiempo a medias. Pero cuando logras ponerte en situación y pillarle el rollo a los enemigos y sus puntos débiles el juego es muy bueno y muy disfrutable.

    It is such a nice feeling to find a world that speaks to you. The world of Horizon does that to me. I played the game immediately before the Horizon Forbidden West was released and playing both games back-to-back was a great experience. After 80+ hours on Zero Dawn + Dlc, and 110+ hours on Forbidden West, this is my favorite franchise.
    Probably gonna buy it on sale on Pc for the Mods ; )

While machines are novel, after a couple hours I only found enjoyment in them during main story missions. The open world is rather repetitive and I found boring compared to Breath of the Wild's seemingly lackluster but more polished world. Sometimes thePretty good.     Not sure why score is so high. Only thing that keeps me playing is to know what happened that world looks like it looks. For every other piece like fighting, sneaking, climbing, open world activities - there are games that do it better.

    Its an open world game that really does everything well and adds fairly interesting setting, but otherwise its a bit bland. Can't go wrong here if you just want to explore beautful places, fight some machines and do a lot of typical open world busywork.

    The weak points of the games are the characters and the dialogs. It's impossible to feel for any of the characters as they're just random encounters that one doesn't relate to. The dialogs are uninspired and really boring. Unfortunately, that includes the protagonist Alloy, who seems to be unable to express any believable emotions. To me, there are some missed opportunities that could've helped to build the character and the bonding with the player, e.g. the conflict with the Nora. She's part of the tribe, but an outcast. Yet, a deeper conflict is only hinted at in the first 20 minutes of the game.

    A minor annoyances are the action radius of each machine, allowing beating any of them from a safe distance. Tge final boss seems a bit uninspired, since it's simply a machine one has a chance to fight several times in the course of the game before the final confrontation.

    Overall, I enjoyed playing the game despite its weaknesses. If it wasn't for the joy of wrestling with an angry Thunderjaw, the game offers little to replay it. The characters and dialogs are even more boring the second time.    … Expand

    The unfortunate fact of Horizon is that most of what it does well, other games have done better, and they did it with a compelling who and where. This is the game you play after you’ve finished The Witcher 3, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, and Far Cry: Primal. It is the greatest hits compilation of open-world games. Yeah, sure, you might want to own it, but the real connoisseur has the original albums.
