    That parade of cathartic moments still makes God of War 3 worth playing, especially given the vividness and eye-popping destruction woven into every major battle

    By that time the series really needed a change. And they didn't fail with the new GOW. Don't get me wrong I still enjoyed playing this game. This has undoubtedly one of the best graphics as a remastered from PS3 era. And the playthrough is still fun. But it's more of "I just want to see what's happening next" that kept me continuing. I would rate Ascension's combat evolution higher thanBy that time the series really needed a change. And they didn't fail with the new GOW. Don't get me wrong I still enjoyed playing this game. This has undoubtedly one of the best graphics as a remastered from PS3 era. And the playthrough is still fun. But it's more of "I just want to see what's happening next" that kept me continuing.     This is one of the best games i ever played. I bought it with my PS4 years ago and i loved the game. It's interesting, it's colorful, it doesn't allow me to get bored. I played it two times and I'd do it again.

    Everything about this game is done perfectly. The boss battles are the grand. The gameplay is addicting with the game giving you so many weapons and trinkets to use in combat to string together godlike combos that make you feel like a god of war.

    Don't think that just because it is a fast paste hack and slash game it has no story or character arcs. Kratos may seem like a rage monster    Everything about this game is done perfectly. Kratos may seem like a rage monster at first glance, but once you read between the lines you soon realize that he has layers to him. The story about how he has been abused by the gods all his life to the point he becomes a hollow shell of a man is beautifully written. The more I played the more invested I was into Kratos as a character and how the gods turned him from man to monster.    … Expand

    A fantastic remaster to an already fantastic game from 5 years ago, and the graphics showed. They are ONPAR to the original PS3 release from 2010.

    Simply amazing. The best of the franchise for sure. It's epic from the beginning to the end, and, for the first time in GoW games, I got angry. That feeling makes you want to destroy everything in front of you and it's amazing.

    The graphic evolution shows how much the devs were limited in the PS2 era. The scale grows so much and it combines with the plot. Gore is just amazing for a PS3    Simply amazing.     And gameplay-wise... Undoubtedly, that is the better of all GoW games, including the moral reboot. You feel powerful and the variety of combos is way larger. Every gun is usable and has its purpose. With is perfect, you can naturally power up much of your arsenal to the max this time. Also, the skills mapped to the d-pad were a good insight. Another thing I loved about this game was the enemies. There are a lot of them and a lot of ways to kill each one.

    The bosses icing on the cake. They are challenging, but not so much, which I like in the context - since all we want is to destroy. The design of them is unique, as the quick time events. Also, something I did not like in the beginning was the smash buttons style, but I'm already missing it in GoW 2018, to be honest.

    The level design and puzzles are good, especially the first one. Actually, all the art direction is amazing in all scenarios. And the story... man, I was into it. A lot. Had to say, a good ending is not easy. I'm happy they got it in this one.    … Expand

    Rewelacyjna gra o niesamowitej rozgrywce. Postać Kratosa prezentuje się wyśmienicie podczas potyczek z bogami olimpu a dubbing na prawdę daje radę. Historia poprowadzona została w na prawdę dobry sposób, wciągający był proces wspinaczki Kratosa na szczyt olimpu pokonując po drodze wszelkie przeszkody i sprawiły, że progresowaliśmy przez całą przygodę. Ogromną zaletą była tutaj też muzykaRewelacyjna gra o niesamowitej rozgrywce. Postać Kratosa prezentuje się wyśmienicie podczas potyczek z bogami olimpu a dubbing na prawdę daje radę. Historia poprowadzona została w na prawdę dobry sposób, wciągający był proces wspinaczki Kratosa na szczyt olimpu pokonując po drodze wszelkie przeszkody i sprawiły, że progresowaliśmy przez całą przygodę. Ogromną zaletą była tutaj też muzyka odgrywająca dużą rolę w immersji. Styl graficzny też świetny, lecz wiadomo że oceniam tutaj remaster. Polecam.… Expand

    A classic PS3 got a remastered port and it was incredible let me tell you. I only saw a texture inside Gaia's heart glitched out, but what an incredible nostalgic experience. It played flawlessly from start to finish.

    Really great game! It was my first introduction back into the god of war series since the original and I was hooked on this game until I completed it. The story and gameplay were top notch. My only complaint would be during some of the interaction cutscenes involving using the thumb sticks as some instances it felt as if my controller output wasn’t registering or maybe I was just bad atReally great game!     A zero-hassle remaster of a great action hack 'n' slash. The combat system is still great, even if inferior to that of some Japanese games of the same genre, and the graphics have aged extraordinarily well. Still, as we said, a lot more could have been done in this remaster.

    The fact that the Photo Mode is one of the emphasized features tells everything about how necessary this remaster was and how much effort was put into it. Yes, the textures are sharper, the lighting is better, but the difference is not breathtaking, because the game was already stunningly beautiful before. It’s not how I imagined Kratos’ assault on PS4. So why such a high score? Five years later it’s still an exceptional game and I envy everyone who is to experience this grand adventure for the first time. [09/2015, p.43]
