    This game was great on the PS3, but you can get the entire Saga that includes the three mainline games and the two PSP spinoffs for less than $20. The PS4 version is overpriced and only includes one game. The slightly better graphics and 60FPS are welcomed changes, but not enough to justify the $40 price-tag. And the pre-order bonus GoW I and 2 on PS Now (good for only three months) isThis game was great on the PS3, but you can get the entire Saga that includes the three mainline games and the two PSP spinoffs for less than $20.     This game is exactly what you would expect. God of War III. The 60fps is smooth to watch and with the gameplay God of War feels great. But the graphics, while nice to look at sometimes, just aren't that big a deal. $40 for this? No thanks. I'll just leave God of War on my PS3 where it should have stayed.

    Motivation to play the Game

    I've played this game before (or at least attempted to) and just didn't like it. Then this year, I played God of War (2018) and its one of the best games that I have ever played. So I figured that I should give this game another try. Why I did not finish the game I just don't like it, the story is a bad revenge story.     I just don't like it, the story is a bad revenge story. The combat just doesn't do it for me and the games main schtick is extreme violence which does nothing for me.

    I played this game for a few hours and it never hooked me in. This original trilogy is not for me.

    Despite the stable 60 fps e and native resolution at 1080p, god of war 3 remastered not add anything than old last gen's version . The game is proposed for people who never played on ps3. The gameplay and also the fixed camera are old, . Whatever Play with Kratos is always a good experience.

    I never play God of War, - minus for me is this remastered not includes all Saga only III part. Game have very good gameplay with nice epic music. Its pity game lenght.

    Some the set pieces and atmosphere are amazing. Too bad you cant move the camera around that much to enjoy it more so. The action is gripping and exciting but somewhat repetitive after a while (ie same enemies spawned over and over in different waves).
    Last boss fight dragged on for too long but was still enjoyable and epic.

    Хороший средний слешер. Сюжет как-то невнятно подается, временами возникает "не верю".. и к концу я уже забыл зачем ГГ всех убивает. Иногда раздражающие моменты в боях. Но битвы красивые.

    Screenplay - 7 (Revenge, revenge and revenge, nothing more, but the characters are interesting).
    Graphics - 7 (slightly better than the original).

    Overall - 7

    I expected much more from the game.

    Was good not as good as 1st n 2nd to me. Half the gods arent even true boss battles like and not many large bosses either. worth it to finish the trilogy...or does it???

    Eu sinceramente,não vejo o porque de God of War ser tão popular, sua saga é basicamente um careca raivoso matando deuses do Olimpo.
    Eu não consigo aceitar a fraqueza destes deuses,onde deveriam ser onipotentes.

A somewhat stronger form of antialiasing is also implemented to reduce the appearance of jagged edges on game models. No assets are conspicuously retextured, which is a shame because the doubled pixel count highlights bits of poorly aged geometry. Thankfully, God of War doesn’t perform any worse than its PlayStation 3 predecessor, avoiding the pitfalls of other contemporary remasters.

    The actual gameplay and narrative still perfectly capture the scale of a Greek myth. Boss encounters are always a series of diamond polished combat sections mixed with spectacularly climatic executions. Puzzles range in scope from clever brain-teasers in isolated spaces to Herculean trials that dynamically alter entire levels in astonishing ways. Cutscenes combine impeccable choreography with engrossing melodramatic acting to achieve satisfying emotional resonance. In every regard, God of War 3 realizes its potential as a finale to a genuinely epic revenge tale.

    It is baffling that such a landmark title didn’t include bonus content on a subsequent release, but that merely detracts from the material value of the product. The core content is untouched, and it remains uniquely entertaining.     What would have been a great game has been severely marred by the developers tweaking the difficulty to the point that you spend far too much time looking at the "you are dead" screen. Upgrades and enemies are metered out so there is no way to improve your character to maker a boss level easier.     I just played it to get a head start for the new GoW game, and while it was fun, that fun was kind of mindless. The almost cartoon-like repetitive brutality doesn't cut it for me, and the graphics didn't age well, not even with the remaster.

    The story isn't what I thought it would be.     Speaking of compelling, the voice actor for Kratos isn't very good-especially compared to the fact that they have some really impressive actors cast as side characters. Kratos just seems to grunt his way through each conversation.

    The combat was decent. By the end of it I was mostly button mashing and they do throw an annoying amount of enemies at you.

    Overall, I'm glad that I played it, the game just didn't stand out to me like some of the other entries in the series.    … Expand

    A really good game with great gameplay but a mediocre plot. Nonetheless it is filled with iconic cutscenes. Definitely worth a playthrough.

    A fun and testosterone-filled final Greek adventure for Kratos that suffers from it's aged gameplay and, at times, spiky-haired-monster-energy-drinking-4th-grader storytelling.

    This game was the first game I played in the series and it was the very first game I bought when I got my PS4. The expectations were high since I'd heard so many positive remarks about it. To be honest, it wasn't the perfect game everyone was praising it to be. I played through it a second time just to see if I'd changed my mind but no the problem remains. The combat gets repetitive and stale after a few hours of playing. The Character of Kratos doesn't make for a compelling character. He is always angry and constantly yelling at people. It may sound cool for a few minutes but it doesn't make his character any likable. There was too much unnecessary violence. I felt that the game was violent for the sake of being violent. There were scenes when you rip someone's head off or cut off another one's legs or throw a girl into a crank and she gets reduced to a pool of blood. It's like the developers said: you wanted violence? well, here you go!
    So to summarize: The combat gets repetitive, the main character is always angry and yelling, and players can't sympathize with him, the game is just too violent for no reason.

    Spaßig mit enorm nervigen Passagen. Bei einer muss man auf einer Plattform Wellen an Gegnern daran hindern die Plattform abstürzen zu lassen. War zu seiner Zeit gängiges Gameplay ist heutzutage nur noch nervig. Außerdem gibt es paar Kletter Passagen die einfach nur die Hölle sind. Dennoch ist das Gameplay im großen und ganzen echt gut gealtert und macht Spaß. Das Kämpfen ist einfach undSpaßig mit enorm nervigen Passagen. Bei einer muss man auf einer Plattform Wellen an Gegnern daran hindern die Plattform abstürzen zu lassen. War zu seiner Zeit gängiges Gameplay ist heutzutage nur noch nervig.     Played this to get ready for ragnarok, I play almost all my games on hard mode. It might only haven't aged well but man it's painful to play even on normal difficulty. The game wants you to rely on blocks and parries but the enemies animations are so bad it's really hard to get the good timing. I stopped playing after beating the second boss. :(

    A zero-hassle remaster of a great action hack 'n' slash. The combat system is still great, even if inferior to that of some Japanese games of the same genre, and the graphics have aged extraordinarily well. Still, as we said, a lot more could have been done in this remaster.

    The fact that the Photo Mode is one of the emphasized features tells everything about how necessary this remaster was and how much effort was put into it. Yes, the textures are sharper, the lighting is better, but the difference is not breathtaking, because the game was already stunningly beautiful before. It’s not how I imagined Kratos’ assault on PS4. So why such a high score? Five years later it’s still an exceptional game and I envy everyone who is to experience this grand adventure for the first time. [09/2015, p.43]
