    what can I say?. This game is one of the best open world games. It becomes more enjoyable the longer you play. SuckerPunch ended the PS4 generation with style.

    A beautiful, well crafted game.
    The story is entertaining, the gameplay is compeling. Also, the lenght of the game is just perfect and all the side stories can be completed without any effort. The characters are "alive", their story tells us about humanity and Jin`s struggle is well paced.

    This game was absolutely amazing from head to toe , the story was amazing , lovable characters and acting was amazing. This game did what assassin's creed was afraid to do. Gamplay truly makes me feel like an old school samurai and the atmosphere truly shows how beautiful tsushima is.

    This is Game of the Year. A beautiful emotional story set in the Tsushima Islands during the Mongolian Invasion of japan. The island is just breathtaking, I played GOT on PS5 and I will tell you this, the sunsets look so amazing especially in 4K and it just feels so..... right. It's hard to explain but it does so much right. The characters have depth, the game-play is satisfying, the worldThis is Game of the Year.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have to say, when I began to play this game, I expected very little, but I have to say I was proven wrong. The game is quite amazing and is probably one of the best I've ever played. The gameplay variety is great with a lot of freedom to choose between stealth or direct combat in most missions. The open world is a spectacle in it's size and beautiful graphics.

    However, the story tops all of this. The storyline in this game is an epic tale of sacrifice and questions what it means to be a warrior and what defines a hero. Jin Sakai, after realizing that he cannot face the Mongol invasion with honour and expect to win, abandons his honourable samurai methods he was taught and becomes The Ghost in order to beat the Mongols, sacrificing his honour. In the end, Jin saves Tsushima, but he is branded a traitor and his clan is disbanded, making him a samurai no longer. Everything he had before the events of the game is gone, his honour, his clan, his old friendship with the swordsman Ryuzo and his relationship with his uncle, whom he is forced to face in battle when he is tasked with killing Jin. Jin survives but no matter what ending is chosen, his relationship with his uncle is forever broken. The story is truly heartbreaking.

Overall this game is frickin amazing it's deserve goty and f#@*!k tlou2, if you like japanese culture you should really try this game! And for those xbox fanboy being salty about this game and said "it's a generic open world game and it's literal copy of ac because it got parkour element in it" i'm pretty sure most of y'all havn't played the game yet and just look into a 5 minutes of gameplay footage on youtube and said "yep this is ac copycat" how about stfu and play on your minifridge.… Expand

    As a big fan of the Way of the Samurai games (even the fourth one), I was patiently waiting for an immersive experience like this to come, along with some gorgeous scenery and a wicked tale to complement it. I had an absolute blast playing through this and still do to this day. The duels are very satisfying on the highest difficulty (playing through it when they added 'lethal' was evenAs a big fan of the Way of the Samurai games (even the fourth one), I was patiently waiting for an immersive experience like this to come, along with some gorgeous scenery and a wicked tale to complement it. I had an absolute blast playing through this and still do to this day. The duels are very satisfying on the highest difficulty (playing through it when they added 'lethal' was even more fun), there's a feeling of enjoyment when you finish off your opponent when they're low on health and you execute that perfect parry for the finale. I just had to play with Japanese audio dialogue, it fits really, really well. It just feels right to pace yourself through this game and soak in Tsushima. I spend that extra few minutes in the hot springs and I only wish the amazing music would continue as you relax. Exactly the same with the haikus, it promotes a very chill atmosphere in-between the chaos of Tsushima's invasion and I appreciate that a lot.

    I hope to see this released to other platforms someday with perhaps a next-gen upgrade? Beautiful game which should have received GotY.    … Expand

I’ve always been a fan of sucker punch developed games but this one took a massive leap forward when it comes to storytelling. All the way till the end when I got my platinumThis was a masterpiece in my eyes. This was without a doubt one of the best games I have ever played. Sucker punch did everything perfectly from the art design and gameplay mechanics to the music and storytelling. I’ve always been a fan of sucker punch developed games but this one took a massive leap forward when it comes to storytelling. All the way till the end when I got my platinum trophy, I was so enthralled with the world. At times it would be the most beautiful and peaceful experience that truly brought me serenity and at other times I would be fully immersed in a combat with multiple enemies.     Ghost of Tsushima is my favorite game of 2020 and one of my favorite games of all time.
    Never before did melee combat feel so good and satisfying. Never before did medieval Japan look this good.
    And not only does this game provide a fantastic singleplayer expirience the devs also implemented an awesome coop mode for free.

    I've never been more positively impressed by a game in my life. Not only is it physically gorgeous, but it's extremely good and the story is amazing. This is the type of games that makes me happy to be a gamer.

    Sucker Punch has delivered a masterpiece with Ghost of Tsushima. Beautiful landscapes drive the player to continue exploring the island of Tsushima while tackling various side quests. Many have griped about the sheer quantity of side tasks, which I admit are plentiful, but they are completely optional. I did not mind clearing these however, due in part to the non-intrusive UI and guidanceSucker Punch has delivered a masterpiece with Ghost of Tsushima. Das Spiel ist von Sucker Punch entwickelt wurden, die ja durch Infamous bekannt geworden sind, ich muss ganz ehrlich sagen, das ich die Infamous Reihe ganz gut finde, aber kein wirklich großer Fan bin, dieses Spiel aber hat mir unfassbar viel Spaß gebracht. Die Story ist sehr gut, die Grafik des Spiels sieht unfassbar gut aus, die Charaktere sind toll geschrieben und das Kampfsystem ist perfekt balanciert, es ist nicht zu anspruchsvoll, aber auch nicht zu leicht und wen man erst einmal den Dreh raus hat schnetzelt man sich so butterweich durch die Mongolenherden, was einfach extrem Spaß bringt.
    Ein absolutes Muss für jeden PlayStation Besitzer und ich freue mich schon auf die PS5 Version.

    It is the best game I've played in a long time. It takes the best mechanics of games and blends it together flawlessly. The story was unique and was kind of predictable once you get a feel for it. However, every NPC has a unique story and battle mechanic never gets old as you learn Dif fighting styles or ways to approach    I got the platinum for this game on PS5 Directors cut version.

    Best graphics I've ever seen, twist and turns throughout the story, it actually questions what you would do in the situation. The in-game weather is determined by how much honor you play with. No need to wonder around on the mini map as the wind guides you. Combat techniques are great. Theres really nothing bad you can say about this game.

Man i already finished it 3 times and its just such a masterpiece, stunning world and atmosphere, lots of things to do in the big and interesting open world, super fun gameplay and fights and i didnt think the story was so good until i finished it.... some time later i played the legends mode and had lots of fun with friends too

    The best samurai game in a long time and a great fun for all, who love action. Love for Japan and its history is a big plus, but its knowledge is not necessary to enjoy every minute of this beautiful game. [Issue#305]

    Ghost of Tsushima is a flawed, but fun, game. While the gameplay itself was solid, and the story was decent, I definitely expected a lot more from Sony’s final PlayStation 4 exclusive. It had enough to keep me hooked, but lacked the polish we’ve all grown to love from a Sony first party game.

    Ultimately, it feels like the game could have benefited from a smaller scope or a more linear structure. Focus on the duels could have created a more engrossing product, especially if it honed in on the narrative for a more concise and cinematic experience. But as it stands, Ghost of Tsushima is another AAA open world title and doesn’t seek to define itself as anything other than that.
