    I must say that game is **** as usual. Best part is that this time EA sports went out of their way to make sure the kids with money play the game more. If you have money, you will this game. As simple. The gameplay is absolutely terrible. The servers are even more terrible, seems to be like there are 2 year old kids sitting in their server room and handling the whole thing.     Typical EA. Broken gameplay, no significant changes from last year with its usual pay to win formula. Those critics giving this game a 6/10 or higher are just out of their minds.

    EA are just a joke and I can't believe people still support them. Only they can get away with selling the same game every year - F u c k EA.

    Fifa 19 was bad, fifa 20 was worse and somehow fifa 21 is the worst! Absolutely riddled with bugs that is making it impossible for me to play fifa 21. Every year it feels like I'm buying a game that isn't complete. We end up waiting several months for updates to fix certain problems to make the game playable. This game isn't worth £60 simple as that.

    I gave this a chance, after not playing FIFA for some years. Nothing have chanced at all for most of the game modes. To get a good team in the most popular modes, you either have to grind for way to long, or pay money for loot boxes.
    The Volta mode i kinda fun, but you get too good teammates too fast for it to be any challenge... before i finished the story mode and got the legends, my    I gave this a chance, after not playing FIFA for some years. Nothing have chanced at all for most of the game modes. To get a good team in the most popular modes, you either have to grind for way to long, or pay money for loot boxes.

    Worst fifa by far, defending non-existent, each game i play online finishes with at least 4,5 goals for each side. Only way to play it is ultra attacking, and hope to score more goals than the opponent. Sadly this has become a game of pure luck and not skill. I sure miss my fifa 12 and fifa 15 on ps3.

    Pretty bad. Clearly using DDA (dynamic difficulty adjustment) in order to sell the famous loot boxes. I have been playing video games since the early 80s (yes I am that old lol) and I have never faced a game that does that so "in your face". I can't stress enough how much I wanted to like it... But takes me 15 minutes to give up...

If you are looking to have a early grave this is the game for you because it will drive you insane with the amount of bs in this game. Well done EA for making another awful scripted game

The game requires you to simultaneously watch the ball holder and follow runs aswell. This game has no defensive AI at all! players dont track the opposition at all they just at times simply run through the defence with no real help. After the the patch the defender CPU is just to overpowered. It means you only have to run back with the central midfielder and the rest is done by the Cpu. Offensively this game is even more worse.     Another big problem is the goal keeper's.....omg what is the point having a 90 rated keeper when all they do is flop to the floor when the ball is going across them. Or a header wow guess what they do...yes flop to the floor so its an automatic goal. Whoever programmed the keepers this year must of thought he was making an ice hockey game. Honesty the keepers dont dive for shots when a shot has been placed in the box.
    Another thing is the refs...wow F me...the refs give penalties or red cards for your shirt brushing against your opponent. Whats worse is last man takes can be totally ignored. Ive been hacked so many times in the box and screamed penalty and the ref just lets play resume.
    So should you get fifa this year for xmas just pray your parents or whoever brought it has a form of receipt for a full refund. DONT BUY THIS GARBAGE OF A GAME.    … Expand

    It s better than FIFA 20, but the script still exist, and it s disgusting. If you get angry easily, this game isn't for you.

    Every year they improve only the ultimate team to make sure they make a lot of money.
    This game is not about the skills anymore, it's just pure luck and it's full of toxic players..

    I already dislike this game after 3 weeks, nothing to play for, all packs are bad, gameplay is again the same ...

    There are some things they did well and nice things added to objectives and the menu but still it does not compensate for the crap servers, bad gameplay and the overall game. They care more about what sells and not what we, as players, would like to see or play.     Terrible game play, started off well, but ruined by patches as usual. Just finished a match a few minutes ago, 14 shots on target, just 1 goal scored. Stupid.

    Really disappointed in this year's game. I mainly play FUT and it's a shame that most of the time you're playing against people who've bought players spending so much money. Also they'll play with the most ridiculous tactics tjar don't even make sense. No matter how bad the tackle ref only gives a yellow.     Game for fans who either need to work online at FUT every day, or instead want to try a modified career mode, which is starting to really look like Football Manager. Otherwise, it's a decent update for the full price. [Issue#307]

    The FIFA series desperately needs a fresh start. Right now, it relies mainly on the Ultimate Team mode and marketing, while going around in circles. Instead of leaping into the future, FIFA 21 takes half a step forward and two steps sideways in an attempt to differentiate itself from its predecessor well enough to rationalize spending money. If you already own FIFA 20 and are not addicted to Ultimate Team, you can sit this one out. [12/2020, p.44]
