    Worse and worse. Only element worth talking about is Volta but it's clear that it's a side-mode and honestly it got boring after 3 matches. For the rest, 0 evolution. Didn't buy 19, didn't buy 20 and sad to see my friends still are falling in the trap, but at least it allows me to review. Just look at the second hand value of FIFA games to understand how unsustainable it is to release oneWorse and worse.     I dabble in FUT and the season objectives make it a little more fun for casuals like myself; but, the sheer ridiculous amount of cards and IFs now available make the game a bit boring online. Average players with outrageous teams can make matches very odd.

    Gameplay wise, it feels very similar, if maybe a little slower. I thought defending had been made more difficult and initially struggled and lost a few games on legendary; but, after learning to just stand there and pressure attackers, you invariably get the ball back within a few moments.

    Whole thing needs a complete overall. As i said, It's meh. The horrible thing is I'll still smash over 100 hours into the damn thing over the next 12 months...    … Expand

    I want to like this game so badly as I am a massive fan of FIFA, but WOW this is the worst iteration in the franchise in years. The gameplay is horrible, slow and clunky passing, awful defending, terrible attacking. I understand that they’re trying to make it more realistic but this game just isn’t fun anymore. Being In division 1 in FIFA 19 to not even being able to hold division 7 inI want to like this game so badly as I am a massive fan of FIFA, but WOW this is the worst iteration in the franchise in years. EA is trying to make game more realistic but no real player would play like the AI plays in fifa. Your team plays differently depending of the score... like what the f*ck?! Why?     First and most important!!! The 0 points reviews are all lies. PES fans! Fifa 20 is much better than most of Fifa s and tons better than actual release of PES. Demo in pes was good. Definetly not perfect but a very good one comparing with 18, 19. Played 40 games so far and i have nothing to complain about yet! Maybe some tweaks in defense as is very difficult to defend( not bad but veryFirst and most important!!! The 0 points reviews are all lies. PES fans!     Terrible game, matchmaking is awful! I'm playing my 78 rated team, worth 20k. I got the game a few days ago, and endlessly getting matched against teams worth £2-5M easy. I play well I work my ass off having chance after chance, and could easily come away with a result, but Messi shoots from 30 yards and scores. I have no chance.

    Not good enough. I've been a diehard FIFA player for almost two decades and this is the first time I've felt completely let down by a game in the series. The gameplay is a shambles, defending doesn't work properly, goalkeepers rebound the most simplest of balls, players fall over due to completely unnecessary animations allowing strikers easy goals, player lock means you can't chase downNot good enough. I've been a diehard FIFA player for almost two decades and this is the first time I've felt completely let down by a game in the series. The gameplay is a shambles, defending doesn't work properly, goalkeepers rebound the most simplest of balls, players fall over due to completely unnecessary animations allowing strikers easy goals, player lock means you can't chase down loose balls by quickly switching players. These are just the basics I've spotted in 25 matches. I usually love switching between Ultimate Team and Career Mode, but it seems all EA want you to do these days is play UT, since that game mode works fairly solidly and Career Mode is broken beyond belief. New 'improvements' have been badly programmed to break the game, teams still aren't updated to represent the 2019/20 season, managers get sacked for the tiniest of reasons. Immersion in the game is non-existent since most teams field their weakest sides for absolutely no reason, resulting in top clubs facing relegation, all conference and player interactions are riddled with poor typos and grammar. My review doesn't even break the ice of how ridiculous this game is bugged, to think of how big of a fan base this franchise has feels like a complete slap in the face to the people like myself who have bought the game year in, year out. Unless there's signs of significant improvement, I think this will be my last purchase of a FIFA game for a long time to come. I've only played single player so far, since I can imagine playing online to be even more of a rage-inducing affair.… Expand

    Also what the heck is wrong with strong clubs? For some reason clubs like Barcelona and Bavaria, and most UK FC are one of the worst? Huh?

    I always play career mode but this year I decided to play the other modes FUT and the seasons but these are terrible as well. the gameplay is terrible and full of glitches and in every mode the gameplay is different. They always downgrading some features and next They say we fixed it. Last year headers are good but this year they go very high in weird way

    Fifa 19 was also riddled with issues and EAs plan seemed to be releasing enough content to keep players off the pitch and the horrible gameplay - and spend their time playing the menus for cards and in-game currency.

    This year EA are providing almost no content and the extra time spent on the pitch has made the myriad of technical and gameplay issues even more apparent than last years iteration.

    Last years promo content had me firing up the game now and again for the whole gamecycle. This year I put the game back in the box less than 3 weeks in - and I doubt its getting back out.

    If you consider getting out after last years buggy mess - this is the year to save your money.    … Expand

    This is the worst game I've ever played from any genre not just only the worst sports game of all times. The game keeps being crap year after year for so long, so.... So long, I won't be giving this franchise another chance in 10 years and that's being very forgiving for to the fact they keep cheating and robbing so many people out of their money

Si no se puede tener una buena experiencia de juego el jugador no se puede divertir. La comunidad está harta de pronunciar este problema y EA no dice nada al respecto. Así que nada, que sigan invirtiendo en crear sobrecitos de colores y promocionandoDe nada sirve crear un juego en el que su punto fuerte es la modalidad online y luego no inviertes recursos para tener buenos servidores.     I've played Fifa since 94 or whatever and it seems to get worse for every year since their best edition around 2010 or so. For every season that pass you lose more and more steering to the computer, soon you can let the computer play on its own, mabye program a managergame? My review put down in words would be, it feels like programes on meth trying to program a pinballsimulator.

    Game play seems fun, I guess, but given that I buy the game for Career Mode, the game is nothing short of a shambolic disaster. Pretty much unplayable. I mean you can, but it is pointless if you want to progress, which is the entire point of the mode.

    But hey, it's not FUT, there are no MTXs, so EA simply does not care.

And that was a great decision because the game is complete **** and there’s only made a few minor changes since FIFA 19. Pro clubs remain untouched aswell do career mode with only a few minor changes that makes no ndifference in the overall experience. I feel like Pro Clubs have so much potential that EA just won’t use. If you look at NBA2k the MyPlayer mode is by far the most played, simply because 2k actually have use the potential of the create your own character mode… Expand

From FIFA 19 to 20, the game feels like you need to spend tens of hours mastering the new body positioning dynamics to just have an enjoyable game playing. 50/50 challenges should be indeed that, 50/50, however now 50/50 challenges where one player (attacker or defender) seem more like your on the losing end of 90/10. A player who is challenged by World Class difficulty on FIFA 19 will become intensely frustrated on semi-pro on FIFA 20.
    Ball control and passing is significantly harder this year. Instead of being a game where someone with little experience can pick up the controller and score some nice looking ,and well crafted, goals. You will find yourself asking "what, how did that happen?" On a positive note, the new Volta football is very nice addition to the game.

    Look away from FIFA 20. It's really not worth your money, time or storage space on your Playstation, Xbox or Switch.    … Expand

    More handicaps to save donators, more scripts, more colorful cards, the same terrible servers. Every year at the start they give a game with shade soccer simulator , and kill it with patches.

    Bad bad game, dont waste time and money on this. They don't deserve a single penny for their fake

    And you might think a bug this big would have promptly addressed, but no, it's mid-december and the bug is still there, 3 months after the game release and less than 6 months away from when the game will be considered "old".
    This is BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE, these guys literally stole our money selling a product that doesn't work.

Whoever is managing EA should be ashamed of themselves. They've managed to continuously lower the quality of almost all of their game-franchises. It seems like there is a pure focus on profits, stock-value and shareholders. If they don't improve things quickly sales will hopefully drop. And fellow gamers, please stop spending money on FUT-packs and other micro transaction nonsense. Since EA won't, if gamers can't, I hope governments will step in and outlaw all of these gambling-mechanics in games, at the very least for all games without an age restriction. Shooting... when you aim in a specific direction and shoot, with any other type of game, it goes in that direction... in Fifa it only goes there 5% of the time, the other 95% it can go anywhere within a radius of where you aim meaning that it either goes wide, too high or towards the keeper, even if it does go where you are aiming, the keeper has the superhuman ability to save it, wherever you aim.. so this makes scoring near impossible and this leaves you with a sense of deep unsatisfaction, which does push you to play more believe it or not... anything you do, it just feels like you are at the mercy of if the game will let you do it, or if it will let your opponent, leaving you feeling a complete lack of control... you are banging your head against a wall with this game day after day... the definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over expecting differant results and that's exactly what this game is. I have lost 2 years of productivity in my life to this game and it is torture, weekends ruined, losing sleep and for what? For a broken game that gives you absolutely nothing in return, no satisfaction, no justification, not even a decent player from a pack that you spent 8 hours of your life to get, nothing... I would recommend anyone who has not played this game to stay far away because it will consume you a leave you with nothing, shame on EA for creating this monster, encouraging children gamble and waste so much time.    … Expand

The game mode has long been forgotten about since the take off of Ultimate Team in FIFA 12, in fact, the game mode has arguably regressed over the last few years. Issues with long serving bugs that haven't been fixed, despite EA saying otherwise, lack of any meaningful new features & even features being removed. Just by going back onto FIFA 11 you can see a number of nice little features that helped the Career Mode experience to be that much more immersive which have inexcusably been removed. Why? Ultimate Team is why. Why spend the man hours making a good single player game mode when you can instead push everybody towards your game mode that earns you billions every year? EA don't care about the people that either don't want to spend £1000's on packs or a considerably large amount of your free time grinding away.

    Where to begin about this year's instalment of Career Mode? Well it actually began quite promisingly. They finally announced a decent number of new features that had been requested by the community for a few years such as meaningful press conferences, dynamic player potential, player conversations & manager creation. This was generally seen as a step in the right direction for once. Then the game released & the Career Mode we received is practically unplayable due to the enormous amount of bugs with even the new features being littered with them. So far there has been around 27 reported bugs & we're only 4 days into the game's launch. Two examples of game breaking bugs include, teams being incapable of starting their strongest starting XI's resulting in unrealistic league tables (Man City being relegated is a regular occurrence) & editing players results in players having their positions being changed & losing overall as a result. This game mode clearly wasn't tested as it's impossible to miss a large number of these issues, & if it was, they turned a blind eye to them & shrugged them off as issues they can patch months later. Unacceptable.

    EA have at least now acknowledged these bugs & are 'working' on a fix for them, however they probably won't be patched until late October or early November at the earliest & that's being optimistic. Even then, there's no guaranteeing that these bugs will all be properly fixed. EA have a history of 'fixing' things only for them to not be fixed at all.

    In short, if you mainly buy FIFA for Career Mode then avoid this at all costs, at least until it's in a playable state which could take months. As a passionate Career Mode player since FIFA 07, I, what a lot of people would say stupidly, pre-order FIFA every year & despite the mode's shortcomings in recent years, still get hundreds of hours of entertainment out of the game, however I've never been more disgusted with EA Sports & a FIFA release. After spending £60 on a game you expect at the bare minimum to receive a functioning game, but for Career Mode players, it's simply unplayable. This is by far the most broken game I've purchased & maybe even known from release.

    FIFA 20 is a better football simulation in overall compared to FIFA 19, but it’s still lagging behind its main competitor greatly. EA is losing the race to Konami, at least in this generation of consoles, where they used to dominate.
