    Unfinished, buggy game. Gameplay seems worse than FIFA 19, most of the controls/features only work some of the time (free kicks, skill moves, etc) Not worth the £59 I payed for it.

    I used to buy FIFA every year, 18, 19 & 20 have been absolute garbage focusing on FUT and "Surprise mechanics". Make real progression with your game. Quit shunning career mode..

    Absolutely criminal for this game to be charged at full price. Unfinished in so many departments and it is painfully apparent the only area of focus goes into ultimate team, so EA can exploit children's nativity to gain more cash they really don't need.

    Just absolute trash and waste of money. Nothing new at all. Game play is still arcade like. No control or genuine feel of playing football. VOLTA feels like a cheap rip off of FIFA street. There's nothing authentic or honest about this game. It just feels like FIFAwill do anything it takes to steal your money.

    Do yourselves a massive favor and buy PES2020 instead. That is the REAL football game

    The game is somehow worse than fifa 19, career mode is completely broken and riddled with bugs. the game play is better, but the new penalty system allows the AI to know where you're going on every kick. In short, the game is a waste of $60.

    The game was a huge disappointment I bought the ultimate edition hoping the game will be great especially hearing they worked on career mode yet was left disappointed an I wasted my money. Gameplay is broken especially against AI the hardest difficulty legendary feels really easy... Not just that but the games broken especially career mode it has many issues the game overall is terrible.

    Slight improvement on gameplay. Even then, improvement is a push, it's just slightly different. None of the previous issues have been fixed, and with age have gotten worse.

    Completely unplayable career mode as ‘fixed’ glitches continue to rid the game of any ounce of realism and new features fail to do as they’re intended and plague the mode with new glitches. A complete betrayal of the FIFA Career Mode community once again. Disgraceful.

    The most incomplete game of the saga. FIFA 20 takes everything bad from previous years and adds more nonsense. Squads are not updated. Transfers are not updated. Career Mode is filled with bugs (they don't have a Career Mode team or anyone working on Career Mode in their credits.

    Career Mode continues to disappoint year after year. It’s the only reason I buy the game and my patience is wearing thin. The only reason I bought was based on the promise of many new features but in actual fact EA has managed to regress the mode even further.

    It is fantastic how we pay money every year for just a diferebt picture, for a bit of improvement in the graphics but for the same old piece of crap and for EA's **** that they put in the game.

It's frustrating that I can not use press when I want. The system wants you to wait but that is not how it is in reallife. I decide if I want to press not the system I m not gonna wait till the children can do tricks and shoot!!     Very disappointed. FIFA 20 is probably worse than 18 & 19 & that's saying something. The game play is ridiculously slow, the passing has not been sorted out, to many glitches. The only positive is the soundtracks. Are EA copying Apple? Same **** different number.

From AI teams fielding their youth players, editing a players boots changes their position and overall, top 6 teams getting relegated and rosters not being updated to name a few. Loads of players missing from the the Celtic FC roster after initially being up to date, game play is super sluggish, no update to the generic stadiums for years now, career mode is a disaster, commentary is terrible, the stadium announcer is far too loud (could the owner of the blue car etc etc) just absolute garbage butBeen a FIFA fan since 09 and this is the biggest let down by far. I wont even talk about Ultimate Team or the new Volta Football, i just want to point out that the Graphics and Animations are disgusting and outdated. lets put the Scanned player faces to the side and take the Generic/Create a Player faces as the main Graphics. Its the worst i have ever seen in the past 10 years, iAs always the same game every year with a few changes (mostly negative).     I have played it just a few minutes ago for the first time. And, what could I say... It is the worst Fifa Game EVER! Before this evening, I thought, this must be Fifa 19, but EA got me again...
    It is extremly unrealistic and so slowly.

    How to even begin... This game keeps getting worse and worse every year. Though it has become more realistic graphically, and in the way the ball moves, it has also become slower and more boring. I almost only play Ultimate team. The new accomplishment feature is a nice feature. But that's almost it for me. Every game I play I seem to want to pull my hear out of my head. Tackling is now almost completely impossible to time properly. Speed is awarded in big fashion. You can no longer play great but rather slow attackers. I've tried Lewandowski and I would rather play another attacker with 70 overall rating and 95 pace. And Lewandowski is not even that slow. I also rage quit every other game over the bad keeper movement and sheer amount of mistakes the keepers make. Every game a goal is scored against me from a keeper bounce back after a save. This has gotten worse since last year. I think I might consider quitting this game for good. It seems ea could learn a thing or two from Konami these days.     The game is dominated by counter attack and fast players and geared towards those that want to spend money and not put any work in. AND In their attempt to make the game more realistic they brought the game back to what made it unplayable online for years. (And don't give me that tactics crap)

    The game has definitely taken a step back in my mind. Although the game has a slight more realistic feel when it comes to the pace and style of the game it is ruined by one Werner or Salah run. It does not matter if you set your defense to sit back farther or to pinch in giving away the outside of the field, or vice versa to stay wide giving away the side lines, this game demands the ability to stop every ball into space and you simply cannot. And I know someone is going to read this and blab about how easy it is to solve that and you know?.. good for you guy because I cannot afford to buy the fastest and best CB and I'm definitely not going to throw my money away for EA.

    More importantly they have once again done almost nothing to fix the career mode as many of these other reviews say. None of us care about the press conferences or the ability to change what our manager looks like. While they are nice added touches its like not a single person has ever read any complaints.

    The one thing that I think I will disagree on with many players is the pro clubs. Most people like the changes that were made here but I have to say I think its cheap to just give everyone an 80 to start off. Not that having to start in the high 60s was that desirable back in fifa 12 or 13 but it was for sure better than having to put in no work at all.

    Basically, the game is 1000% geared towards those that are willing to throw away money and do not want to put work into the game like they used to. I hope that pisses people off but I know there are some older players out there that agree with me.    … Expand

    Career mode is absolutely broken with no realism. Marketed bug fixes are not implemented in the final game, this is FALSE ADVERTISING. Absolute disgrace.

    Sad that the gameplay is actually good this year.
    EA better fix this or many will switch to PES next year

    Releasing an incomplete and broken game after months of hyping it up. Tons of bugs. No immediate fixes. Can't even get the squads updated even though it's been a month since the transfer window closed. What was the point of pre-ordering the game? EA doesn't care. £60 down the drain.

    I made a meta critic account just to rate this, why did i buy this **** Bugs ontop of bugs no changes to career mode for who knows how many years in a row now. All they care about is milking ultimate team for everything its worth. I even lost connection to the server in volta losing all my progress in thw comp, why do i need to be connected to a server for something that is a singleplayer mode

    I’m glad I never actually bought this game and used my trial for 10 hours as this was all I needed to miss out on my first fifa game in a very long time. I usually jump straight into career mode as for me this is the most enjoyable game mode, however this was totally broken and unplayable after a couple of games, it’s disgraceful the state career mode is on release. Of the few hours I played in this game mode there was very little improvements and it got stale very quickly. I also noticed in career mode and seasons that none of the squads bar FUt are updated which again is disgraceful EA have had at least 3 weeks to do something simple that totally breaks immersion. I played fut for the remaining hours of my trial which was just rage inducing the match making putting my full 11 of bronzes vs someone with a 85 rated team is mind blowing terrible connection. The gameplay was fun for the first 5 games or so then that’s when all the typical b.s started, they’ve ruined set pieces again with the new aiming mechanic. The passing is somehow worse than it was in fifa 19 with at least 4/10 passes going no where near where I wanted, the AI that they said they have improved have not they stand there doing nothing not exploiting any space. Overall there is far too many issues with the game at launch, no major improvements to single player since FIFA 14 and terrible arcadey gameplay that gets boring after 5 games.… Expand

    Career mode is slow and broken. Every time I edit a player, their position changes. The menu in career mode is laggy and slow. No latest squads on and no new champions League groups.

    Career mode is the only reason I play FIFA. But it's full of buggs. I do like the new updates on gameplay, but without a realistic career mode there is no reason for me to play FIFA.

    This game genuinely feels like a beta. It’s glitchy, sluggish and the UI is ridiculously poor. Not to mention the issues with career mode this year. Couldn’t think of a worse way to spend my money on. I can’t believe people are happy paying for this and then spending more on micro transactions

Konami does not make as much on their(FUT) My Club. You actually don't have to spend a fortune to get star players. EA is very disappointing they never listen to their core base.     Really buggy. For instance, I haven't been able to play any of the training games before a match because the view is of a random part of the training pitch and I can't see the player, let alone what I'm supposed to do. A lot to fix

    FIFA 20 is a better football simulation in overall compared to FIFA 19, but it’s still lagging behind its main competitor greatly. EA is losing the race to Konami, at least in this generation of consoles, where they used to dominate.

    The new Volta mode is loads of fun, especially with some mates. But the overall FIFA experience is starting to creak, despite an impressive array of bells and whistles.
