    Ultimate team is as always rigged in favour of those who buy packs to force the rest of us to buy packs. Stupidly most of us do purchase packs. The gameplay itself is fluid and appealing, the game modes are innovative...

    The actual football playing is quite nice, I'd give that a 7.5 or 8/10.
    (fifa 19 gets a 7/10 from me too so yeah, it changed a bit but not enough to give me an incentive to buy... I did buy it now but in hindsight, I wish i did not). Everything around it.... just destroys that 7.5 score. I'm a career player, have been since I can remember. But the    Corporate greed at its finest.

    I'm a career player, have been since I can remember. But the career mode has been neglected, it used to be the one of the main core game modes of fifa but it's a shrill contrast to what it used to be.
    I remember the days you could buy a house etc with your earnings, but hey they scrapped that years ago.
    Career is broken, just look online and you'll find countless examples of big teams losing all the time, selling key players, buying the wrong players etc... Don't buy this for the singleplayer experience.

    FUT. Well here is where corporate greed comes in play. I tried it for 1-2 years, but I just dropped it. I am not going to buy a game for 60 euros only to have to buy card packs to get some decent players. You can get some by playing but you'll be outmatched a lot. Maybe if you're a natural you don't need to. But probably 80-90% is not. Not to mention you'll have to sink hours and hours into this to get some good stuff...

    Oh and the good reviews from IGN and other big sites? Either sponsored or in that sites best interest to be positive. Just think about it, Fifa is a major brand. The tournaments, player/team/league sponsorships, world league, ... They are able to control the mainstream media, don't you think otherwise. You can't as a major gaming site give Fifa a 4/10, because millions keep buying it so you only would damage your own credibility. Reviewers have become afraid.

    To summarize: the innovation is at a low point.
    The new VOLTA is just a recycled mode from the fifa street game series. It should be added as an extra mode, not as a selling point. Career is kind of broken but the football gameplay has improved with 10%. If you have a lot of money to spend, yeah you could buy it, but i wouldn't.    … Expand

    This game makes me want to strangle a baby and shove it down my dogs throat. I’ve never seen anything more autistic than this piece of **** game where my player couldn’t score in a **** brothel but my keeper couldn’t catch a cold. Safe to say this game makes me suicidal

    I used to love playing Fifa and ultimate team, but this game is probably the least entertaining gaming experience I’ve ever had. A lazy excuse for a game, by a company that has spent a lot more money on marketing over content to sell copies. They should be embarrassed.     Disgrace that the game was released in this condition. Pes has always had the better gameplay but fifa had the better career mode. Career mode is completely broken at the moment. Only point i gave is for volta mode though this quickly becomes boring once the novelty wears off.

    Carrer mode is my favorite mode in the game, and i pre order this game because there were big announcements from EA saying they would finnaly fix it, guess what? nothing is changed of course.
    They said they corrected a bug in the AI leaving starts in the bench when playing crucial games (they annouced this fix    I made an account to review this game, so you can see how disappointed i feel.

    They said they corrected a bug in the AI leaving starts in the bench when playing crucial games (they annouced this fix back in fifa 17 aswell) but it still happens, how is a company allowed to falsely advertise and rob its customers like that.
    Only change they made was adding flash interviews, (who asked for this???) but we still:
    -Cant propose a tranfer fee when loaning players (occurs often in football)
    -Have the same boring layout with very little info, no info in players that are loaned, cant see who are the top scorer on other unkown leagues, etc
    -I played 4 seasons in fifa 19, got forrest green to play in CL and not received one offer to train another club
    -Cant adjust price tickets, mess with the stadium, negotiate sponsor deals
    -nothing new on scouting, nothing new on youth players, your team should have a S19 squad
    I mean, if at least they say that they dont care about carrer mode, but saying that it will get love and then its all minor changes, we need it to get revamped
    Also EA was deleting negative coments about this, raise awareness about this thiesves, they only care about money    … Expand

    I have been buying fifa every year since 2013. This is the first year that I will not buy fifa. Mildly regretting it but its the right decision in order to get EA to actually improve the game play and not simply tweak it a tiny bit every year. Creating a different feel while the actual game mechanics are broken with crazy ping pong like rebounds and ridiculous ball control. Too easy toI have been buying fifa every year since 2013.     The new version, despite the fact that is the same game than previous versions, is a complete crap. A lot of new bugs, delayed and imprecise controls and the worst handicap ever made in a Fifa game. They really made it, EA destroyed the game completely.

    Absolute garbage. I've been playing Fifa since 09, and this one is by far the worst. I don't know what they were thinking, but it is obvious that the EA is focused on UT only. Pro Clubs are soooo sluggish and not fun that is it sad. They are trying to kill it so that nobody plays it, and they are on it.

    Career mode is why I play fifa, I still prefer to play fifa 19 instead of 20..career mode doesn't even show the nationality of the players unless you go on the window where it shows all the information of each player, it's really hard to score as you approach the goalie he just steps in the goalie line and somehow the goalie manages to save the shot everytime...etc... So disappointed.

    I created a Metacritic account just for this game. I’ve never in my entire life played a game half as broken as this one. defending in it is pure **** to the point where no match passes by without at least 8 goals being scored. Its beyond ridiculous how many goals are scored in each match, and how polarized each match’s result is.

Non è possibile rilasciare un gioco “ rotto “ e aspettare 3 settimane per dei fix che si risolvono parzialmente i bug iniziali ma non portano a nulla di nuovo ( carriera allenatore ) . Si salva solo per le licenze delle squadre ; la carriera allenatore è rimasta pressoché identica al 19 !!!!     Didn't buy the game but played it for a week while house-sitting. Same story as every year. Definitely not buying this year. Career Mode is a joke full of bugs. The Volta mode is fun for a bit but not worth buying the game. FUT has ruined this game. FIFA 19 gameplay was better than 20 if you ask me.

    Dá a impressão do game estar manipulando resultados e partidas. Nessa condições está impossível jogar. O Fifa q9 já foi um puta estresse.

    Não deixarei que o game que eu tanto gosto destruir minha diversão. Por isso nota 0 é último Fifa que jogarei.

    For starters, EA have introduced these new ball dynamics whereby the ball doesn't roll along the ground, it practically bobbles up and down off the pitch when you play a simple 5 yard pass. The result of this, makes playing passing football a nightmare. I'm pretty sure all of the teams in the Premier League and Championship have pitches like carpet so this wouldn't happen.

    Secondly, ball control. I've never seen a game where the first touch is SO poor. Professional footballers taking first touches 2-3 yards in front of them. Pretty sure these guys would not be on multi-million pound contracts if they could not control a football.

    The player physicality just defies belief. I've lost count the amount of times I've lost out on a header to Bernardo Silva or Raheem Sterling when I am controlling a 6 foot 5 centre back. BLATANT penalties or free kicks not given, it all just makes for a shambles of a game.

    The marketing department made a HUGE deal out of all of these 'game changing' additions to Career Mode. What a load of nonsense, they are all entirely superficial and add NOTHING new to Career Mode.

    If you haven't purchased it yet, don't bother. If you see it on sale somewhere and think 'oh, that might be worth a punt', don't bother. I fell into the trap of purchasing FIFA 20 when really it is just FIFA 19 with updated kits and rosters.

    No doubt, the effort I've gone to in order to write this review was a complete waste as EA will change absolutely nothing. Why change anything when they are putting minimal effort in and getting a sh*t load of money through the microtransactions in FUT.

    What a steaming pile of **** The game is riddled with bugs a basic quality check would prevent, AI in Player Career Mode is broken, EA keep ruining the game with every update they **** out and the in-game propagation of FUT is aggressive and disgusting.

    What you pay and what you get are two different things. One minute things work, then they dont. This game is not what we were promised. There are no repercussions against EA for their mistakes and issues. There are core mechanics issues and server issues that need fixing and yet those are not addressed. This game is a barrage of promotions and nothing to address the actual issues with the game.

Then when they screw up (e.g. server problems in the middle of a game) - you will lose that game (it happened to me three times TODAY), and (based on my previous interaction with their support team) you’ll get nothing more than “oops sorry”. It’s embarrassing for a multi billion dollar company to have servers seemingly maintained by my dog and 8EA is all too happy to take your money. Then when they screw up (e.g. server problems in the middle of a game) - you will lose that game (it happened to me three times TODAY), and (based on my previous interaction with their support team) you’ll get nothing more than “oops sorry”.     This is the most terrible footsim I have ever played. Very awful connect, the game is just scripts and scenaries. My rate is 1 and I am very disappointed with the work of ea sports in fifa series in the last 2-3 years. I think that it is no reason to buy this game in the next year.

    where to start, i'd say on the very basis the game is decent and playable for casuals who just play career mode and kick off with buddies on a saturday night. But take a further look into career mode, there is so many bugs in there that even in march they are still needing to patch everything visually and errors in AI coding to the game. Pro clubs is a fun-alternative game mode that you can enjooy with friends and randoms around the world. But considering there are so little interest in this gamemode and lack of content, it becomes dead earliest by around 4 months into the game's release. Oh and the creme de la creme and cherry on top is Ultimate team, after playing it for multiple years, this game mode is the most frustrating of all. There is barely any support on server and gameplay connnectivity that it's frustrating to be on the receiving end of a bad connection (note that delay is very one sided, it's been proven that the one with better connection gets given artificial delay by the servers to support your opponent) content wise it's fun and interesting in ultimate team, team building and going after objectives can be fun. But can also impact people's attitute to be very toxic-in game considering gameplay is very meta-driven. In-game money is very hard to earn since rewards are not given on-par to your user performance whether it's in div. rivals or weekend league.
    It forces the community to purchase FIFA POINTS which is sort of like a gamble with the rates you are able to pack a decent card. (remember this game is very meta-driven again, an 88 card means nothing). In game monitoring is also done by bots so don't be surprised if you get falsely accused of doing something that you didn't and found your account has been banned( this happened to me before)

    In conclusions, you should definitely reconsider before purchasing fifa20.    … Expand

    Remarkable how EA keeps on getting away with this scam of a game. A game with broken gameplay, focused on making the users addicted with their gambling mechanics. Governments need to start taking stronger action against this.

    Poor game-play experience in FUT. This is supposed to be for fun and enjoyment. Doesn't make any sense to play the game if it affects your mental health. The WL over the past few months have been horrible---the lag is unbearable. May be EA should focus more on improving game-play rather than releasing objectives each week to squeeze out more money from people!

Le mode fut est trucqué, les bons joueurs perdent trop souvent contre des joueurs extrêmement faibles qui active toutes les aides automatiques. Ce jeu est un pur scandale.     FIFA 20 is a better football simulation in overall compared to FIFA 19, but it’s still lagging behind its main competitor greatly. EA is losing the race to Konami, at least in this generation of consoles, where they used to dominate.
