    Absolutely garbage game. They somehow managed to make it worse and completely unplayable. EA only cares about milking money from kids parents on FUT. They completely ignore career mode and avoid actually listening to the people who buy their games. PES here I come.

    Career mode is full of bugs to the point of unplayable.
    Examples:
    - Team lineups are wrong, opponent are playing 2nd and 3rd team against title contenders.
    - Ultimate difficulity is way to easy.
    - UCL and Europa league stops working after 4-5 seasons.

    This is a short list of a few bugs .

    It is absolutely unacceptable that Career Mode improvements over the past ~4yrs have been minimal and badly implemented (loan to buy-clauses).

    This year EA promised so much but fixing (which is nothing considering that they should do that in updates and not market bugfixes as "game feature"), yet are either too incompetent to actually do so or deem us too dumb to spot an obvious lie...

    If not for buying digitally, I would have already requested a refund on this pathetic excuse of a product. The last time I felt this ripped off was when I bought Anthem, which (surprise, surprise) is also an EA game. It’s almost as if they’re more interested in returns than the quality of the product...

    I would advise that anyone considering buying this s*** heap seriously think again.

Same mistakes are occuring every single year and EA do not resolve this.     Gameplay still feels like playing a pinball arcade machine. If you want a real football simulation go buy the other game. Every new feature is broken and the same bugs that have been in place since 2014 are still very apparent.

Truly awful. Endless bugs and flaws that take away any emersion and make this mode unplayable and to be honest an absolute disgrace. I honestly believe this game mode wasnt checked once, because anyone with half a brain would notice all these bugs. That or EA simply dont care.… Expand

    The career mode is embarrassingly broken. Top teams playing their reserves, getting relegated as a result. Euro League, Champions League stop working after a few seasons. Seriously, if you have any interest in playing career mode..don't buy it. You will be more disappointed than being rejected from your first crush.

If you try to play in a different way than the game wants you to, you will be very frustrated, so it's still a matter of learning what EA wants from you. So, don't use your football intelligence, because you will lose, and your rating will suffer due to either being out of position a lot of the time or passing where a player should be, only to find he stopped his run.

    Gameplay is still shockingly poor, although entertaining at times (on an arcade level). Ball and player physics are unfortunately far too unrealistic. AI players are extremely arbitrary. Sometimes you can run past defenders like they were cones, escpecially as they tend to run over to mark someone else when you run down the middle, whereas in the next game they're rock solid and tackle through you (yes, literally!) to win the ball, or even clear crosses with fab bicycle kicks.

    Honestly, 20 feels like a downgraded version of 19. All the annoyances and errors from last year are still present in ProClubs, only now you have to start over with your Pro. They have even added a new annoyance, in the form of pain-in-the-butt free kicks and penalties. They have also introduced new errors, which will hopefully be ironed out during the next 300 2 gig updates.    … Expand

    As a career mode player this is just not worth buying. EA only develops the ultimate team part, where they can cash in, but are as always building a **** product - though beautifully designed, the rest is crap.

    Career mode has not developed in years, despite EA promised otherwise for this year, and is full of bugs. Do not buy!

    I'm sorry but PES is better this year, more leagues, more teams, actually has the Juventus logo, the ultimate team in pes actually rewards you and doesn't require you to spend money, the gameplay is fast and you feel like you actually make a impact. Also this is the opposite for FIFA 20. The only thing good about FIFA 20 is Volta but it's not worth 60 bucks

    There’s bugs all over the game. Can’t edit a player without their stats and position glitches. It’s a joke.

    I’m not a FUT player. I buy FIFA for Career Mode, this year it’s a complete mess and unplayable.

    Another year, another Fifa I won't be buying. I think a lot of people had already given up on the single player Fifa but there was substantial hype about it this time round over the big changes they've made. I'm going to systematically go through them in an effort to convince you, the consumer, to not buy this game, especially if you already own any Fifa game from the past 5 years+.Another year, another Fifa I won't be buying. I'm going to systematically go through them in an effort to convince you, the consumer, to not buy this game, especially if you already own any Fifa game from the past 5 years+.

    1) Customisable manager - this is just insulting. A feature which should've been in ages ago is finally added and it is hailed as some sort of new and exciting feature. This is the bare minimum EA, that it took this long is nothing short of a joke.

    2) Press conferences/face the media - anybody really want some more tedious cut-scenes? Well congratulations now you have them. I don't know exactly how they perform but here's a prediction: they're an interesting novelty for the first week only then becoming completely asinine and annoying.

    3) Dynamic player potential - this is the one that has received most fan fare from EA, from the game changers who laud every tiny thing as amazing so they can still operate their youtube channels, and from everyone else. I remember PES6 had dynamic potential with players performing above potential when playing well. PES 6 - that's PS2! It is again a case of EA drip feeding minor improvements and hailing them as some sort of revolution. They're not, they are the bare minimum that should have and could have been in the game much sooner than now. By hailing changes like this is something amazing you encourage EA to carry on adding only the tiniest of improvements year after year whilst failing to improve the core game and experience.

    4) Managing morale - on paper this sounds interesting but from what I understand it to be it's just an extra addition to players coming to you and saying stuff like 'I'm not happy with my game time boss' and you padding one of three responses back to them and the mythical morale moves up and down slightly. If this was implemented properly, in a deep and meaningful way, it'd be a good feature. Sadly this is EA, so I guarantee that this whole system will be, at best, shallow and meaningless.

    5) League specific themes - a) does anyone really care? b) why couldn't this have been implemented in previous releases? Another classic case of EA drip-feeding miniscule improvements.

    6) Live screenshots - see number 5.

    7) Ability to disable international management offers - this is such a basic feature, and one which could've been in years and years ago, that I am truly angered by it. It is a LONG overdue option, EA gets not credit for that.

    8) Miscellaneous improvements - things listed by EA like sorting fixture congestion, and youth player values, etc are things you would expect in a rudimentary patch, no an (allegedly) brand new game, you certainly wouldn't expect them to be advertised but I suppose when you have so little new going on in your game you have to try and squeeze all the juice you can out of anything remotely different.

    Things that could've made the experience better that weren't included:

    1) A proper, well-integrated youth system/academy. Every year fans say this is what they want, every year they are ignored.

    2) A properly implemented transfer system - players, especially young players with high potential, can still be bought on the cheap which does not reflect the reality of the transfer market. Add to the fact you can buy any player from any club, provided you have the money, and it's just daft. Zero realism and immersion breaking.

    3) Depth - this is very vague I know but everything in Fifa, from negotiations to transfers to youth players to (I suspect) the press conferences and morale is all just superficial gloss. They actually impact the game very little overall and if they do impact the game, like say youth players, they do so in such a ham-fisted way that it removes the enjoyment anyway.

    4) An actual new game - once more you have rehash of old ideas and concepts rather than anything new and meaningful. Career mode, make no mistake, has been abandoned. How Fifa have managed to stretch a game like this over several years, and still maintain sales, is beyond me. Anybody looking for a new, fresh experience needs to look somewhere else because you ain't getting it from Fifa.

    If you buy the game you tacitly support EA's piss poor contribution to single player mode and their slavish dedication to the FUT money spinning modes - if enough players stopped buying the game (which they won't, sadly) it would force EA to change. Whilst they continue to make money hand-over-fist expect further disappointments long into the future.     Another unfinished game from EA, which is filled with bugs and flaws. Unsurprisingly the only mode which seems to be playable is Ultimate Team, but even that at times feels clunky with its new squad interface.

    Really enjoying fifa 20 I’ve been playing Fifa since Fifa 98 so a long time lol and Fifa 20 is better then the last 5 FIFA’s this time it’s not all about pace it’s more realistic and the added volt makes this good value for money 10/10 for me ⚽️

    So when they were on the right path (The Journey was an awesome idea) they killed it and introduced Volta which is useless, repetitive, boring and pointless. Despite the huge advertising EA did, Career mode is still full with bugs and is the same since 4/5 years. If you dont give a **** about UT like I do then it's a NO GO

Players are so unstable and can't control the ball. The game is emphasising on manual defending but still has legacy defending in the game which is completely impossible to play against cuz the attacking and dribbling optionsIt's sad how people rate this game positively by comparing it to FIFA 19.     Game has only received minor changes and updates compared to previous versions. Comes with crucial bugs and EA Server availabilty is not stable. The Ultimate Team Mode remains absolute Pay-to-win. EA shows again that it's not about the game, it's about the money.

    We have been asking for changes and updates for YEARS to this mode and it's barely changed since FIFA 14.. All EA cares about is Ultimate Team because that's where the money is.

    EA were supposed to fix the bugs in this game and also give us a new exciting career mode. Instead, they give us some useless rubbish like interviews which have zero bearing on what happens. The same old rubbish is here. EA will never get it unless people boycott buying it, but unfortunately gamers are not wise enough to do so

EA do not care about the customers that aren’t constantly spending additional money on FUT and this is proven by the fact that #fixcareermode is now trending on Twitter and yet they haven’t addressed the long list of issues being faced while at the same time have assured FUT players multiple times since release that minor connection issues are being worked on to ensure they have a good experience. Talk about hypocrisy and disloyalty. Career mode players like myself have played fifa since the late 90’s and seen our favourite game mode sink into oblivion each year. Shame on you EA! Gameplay wise the same issues are at play. Tackles bounce back to the opponent, passing is awful and the shooting system is erratic and unpredictable. Icon SBC's have also been removed from the game in order to punish those who grind towards completing them over an extended period of time and hence push them to an inflated transfer market and buying FIFA points.

    In short this is arguably more pay to win than ever before and possesses the potential to be the worst instalment in the franchise which after playing 19 is quite a statement.

    If you have any value for mental health and the retention of your hairline avoid this cash cow money grabbing casino at all costs.    … Expand

They brought Volta in but really whose gonna play that for long..practically no one.     FIFA 20 is a better football simulation in overall compared to FIFA 19, but it’s still lagging behind its main competitor greatly. EA is losing the race to Konami, at least in this generation of consoles, where they used to dominate.
