    Amp up the difficulty to get the most out of this game. Story is alright, lore is better, gameplay top-notch. Recommend getting the DLC on sale, but they are a must. At their worst, it feels like more DOOM; at their best, the base game feels like a tutorial and this is where the real game starts.

    I have already beaten the PS4 edition on my PS5 and both dlcs, But I love this game so freaking much and to be honest the PC version is better the controls are easy to adapt to and I am running a solid 250 fps.

    Best single player FPS I've ever played. This game is incredibly involved, and that will likely be a huge obstacle for first time Doom Eternal players, and it might even enrage them; it did for me. I highly recommend at least keeping visual tutorials on. I personally turned off the tutorials that pull you to the demo room, but many of you might be tempted to turn off all tutorials. TurningBest single player FPS I've ever played. This game is incredibly involved, and that will likely be a huge obstacle for first time Doom Eternal players, and it might even enrage them; it did for me. I highly recommend at least keeping visual tutorials on. I personally turned off the tutorials that pull you to the demo room, but many of you might be tempted to turn off all tutorials. Turning off all of the tutorials will likely make every one of your big arena battles absolutely miserable because they throw every enemy, that you're supposed to understand how to fight at that point, at you in a single fight. It is really fun and exciting when you know the enemies weaknesses, because you are firing on all cylinders and using all your tools in the right way. All in all, great visuals, great gameplay, interesting story, 10/10 game in my book.… Expand

    The gameplay is incredible, the feeling of power and mastery that comes with time is exactly what you could expect from a DOOM game. It adds a few welcome changes to DOOM 2016, a game that already felt so good to play. Every fight is superbly designed. Movement feels awesome. The game's length is perfect to keep its diversity all along.

    It is a great game, I have not beaten it. I recommend playing on easy even if you are really good at FPS games, because it is very very difficult. Despite the fact it is difficult it is very fun and has a lot of story and things to do. I highly recommend it.

    Everything about this game has been not only a learning curve for me but also reminded me of why I love video games as I have felt that the industry has been dying for the past 10+ years with all honesty. The sound design is just beyond words every weapon, enemy sounds to the insane soundtrack written by Mick Gordon just sounds so sharp and crisp. Doom 2016 felt as though it relied a little too heavily on nostalgia while not providing much new innovation, while Doom Eternal here does have some nostalgia it really elevates the genre forward with it's complete overhaul of new additions and changes to the mechanics where the difficulty is really rewarding.… Expand

    This is my favourite fps shooter. The soundtracks puts me in a blood-lust state. Learning to quick swap weapons and use all of my weapons in battle is so satisfying, no game has made me feel this powerful.

    I’m playing a year after the game has been released. I know a lot of the issues have been fixed. I purchased the deluxe game in April 2020 while on sale but never got around to playing it till April ‘21. I have to say this game is absolutely great. It totally takes you out of a typical FPS mode of cover & shoot. You have to move move move to stay alive here. Weapon swapping, ammoI’m playing a year after the game has been released. I didn’t realize what I wanted until I got it so that’s why it’s 9/10. But in all seriousness the game is beautiful & the developers really caught lightning in a bottle. I always start games in the hardest level available. I had to drop it down a level & swallow my pride until I learned how to play differently. It sounds dumb but it’s true this game is not like anything I played before. Once you understand how to be mobile & on the hunt then you can RIP & TEAR.… Expand

    Quite simply one of the best FPS games ever made. Not an easy task, given how much history the genre has and how much Doom Eternal has to match up to in its own series alone, but this game pushes the bar in pretty much every direction. Building on the solid but occasionally humdrum foundation of Doom 2016, Eternal refines and balances the gameplay to raise the skill ceiling and engage the player.

It’s just way more unique than other FPS games. This also is reflected in the gameplay. In games like call of duty, what you do is find some cover, shoot some guys, find more cover    This game is amazing.

I’d recommend anyone to get this game, but I personally think the best way to play it is on the PC version, with a controller, with gyro aiming. (Not as much the switch version though.     This game is just god like i don't know how to explain it is just amazing you can kill demons whenever however you want but beware its a lot lot more difficult than 2016 this you have to combo and be moving around so if you want a challenge and love killing demons this is the game for you.

It integrates so many different elements into its game loop (resource management, split second decision making, reflexes, positioning, strategic planning) in such a wonderful way that makes the gameplay feel fluid, frenetic and adds weight to each and every move the player does.

    Keeps you interested and makes you always want to play it, you also get a really good feeling when you finish a room. It is very intense and immersive which makes it just that step higher than most solo games.

    Le combat est si incroyablement bon, si satisfaisant. Au début, vous avez l'impression que c'est un peu écrasant lorsque le jeu ne cesse de vous lancer des outils à utiliser, mais quand vous vous y habituez, vous vous sentez comme un dieu.

    I just finished playing through the whole Doom series for the first time ever and man, what a ride. Not only I'm a big Doom fan now, I think Doom is my favorite video game series now and Doom Eternal is one of the best games I've ever played, if not the best.

    This is with out a doubt one of my favorite games. amazing visuals, game play and balance. each fight feels tough but fair, it makes you feels like you deaths are your fault and not the game, and that's not something many games can pull off. i.e. This game really makes you FEEL like Doom Guy.

I miss games like this that aren't all about stat buffs and numbers but just about raw mastery of the mechanics. I for one like the the platforming and exploration bits too, they serve as a nice break from theAwesome game.     There was something about the aesthetic of DOOM 2016 that I makes me like it more. But otherwise, this game is objectively more mechanically sound. Its more Doom what's not to love?

    One of the most intense campaigns I've played through. This is not the power trip that DOOM 2016 was, it really is another beast entirely. My hand-eye coordination has never been better.

    Pretty massive improvement over Doom 2016 from combat, traversal, levels and overall more fun/crazy game. I like how graphics are more like original games style. I did not like 2016 but I loved this one.
