    Have played Doom games since the 90's. Loved all of them, excepting Doom 3 - what were they thinking! Then came this. I am a casual gamer I admit but have, over the years, put in many hours with previous Doom FPS. Found this one too difficult even on the easiest setting. Not enough ammo or health to survive for more than a couple of minutes.

    Only the most amazing graphics, animations and sound could make up for this game and they suck. Everything is dumb, dim witted, done wrong, and half assed. Everything sucks. Everything is dumb. The animations are hard to describe its like a terrible animatronics scene everytime, things in the environment just might wiggle a bit like the most terrible halloween display.     One of the best shooter games ever made, the level of detail is just beautiful, watching blood spill from every corner. The difficulty is scaled perfectly, with Ultra-Violence combining fun with challenge in a perfect blend. Well done id Software, you've outdone yourselves once more. Keep it up.

    A wondrous symphony of carnage, mayhem, and a ridiculously sick soundtrack (thank you once again, Mick Gordon), DOOM ETERNAL soars above its predecessor in DOOM (2016).     Everything is broken. The gameplay the multiplayer the trophies nothing works properly. WTF IS THIS GARBAGE GAME. Not even a fraction of what doom 2016 was. Dont let these bots fool you this game is absolute trash worst shooter in 5 years of playing shooters.

    Good game, but not the direction I wanted DOOM to go. There are blatant arena-shooter setpieces with hoards of enemies and no cover so you are forced to run around, grapple and grab armor and ammo to try to survive the area you are in. Some people may like this, and some may not.

    Eso no es DOOM. Es otra cosa. Metieron una historia sin sentido. En un juego donde la dificulta es que te acorralen injustamente solo para aumentar la dificúltales. Lo pase porque realmente lo compre. Porque sino lo dejo abandonado.

    Версия 6.66 сломал battlemode из-за нового демона . Баланса нету. Можно смело не играть в battlemode.только если уберут этого демона, либо поменяют его способности. Так ещё убрали щит у палача зачем то

    В этой игре превосходно всё. Оружие, монстры , стрельба, гемплей, паркур, интерфейс, секреты и конечно же музыка. Она бесподобна. Сюжет только не понятен. Я так и не понял, что я делал. Кого убивал и куда шел? Не знаю. Честно, я пытался понять. Начинал читать лор , записки, Но так ничего и не понял. И забил. И просто наслаждался гемплеем. Смело беритеВ этой игре превосходно всё.     This game has certainly earned a place in my top 10 FPS titles of all the time !
    Such a challenging game, but it won't stop you if you'd prefer to take a breezy tour through metal album landscapes and demon guts !!

This game is so hard that even on hurt me plenty the easy difficulty enemies hit you like a truck. the flaws are the difficulty at times is too unforgiving.     Doom Eternal is a perfect sequel that moves faster, hits harder, and feels better than it's predecessor. Don't get me wrong, Doom 2016 was an absolutely astounding reboot that reinvented and reinvigorated the Doom franchise by setting the new benchmark for fast paced FPS games, but Doom Eternal brilliantly builds upon those established elements with panache and flair. Graphically, although it is not the precise point on which we expected Doom Eternal, it remains very pretty and it gives credibility to the sublime artistic direction which itself gives credibility to the level design. The gameplay during the fights is frankly fun however we would have done without phases of funny platforms for five minutes but which become very heavy in the long run. Otherwise the sensations are almost the same as in 2016 and that's what makes it hard for me to do better than Doom 2016. There aren't really big differences between the two games and it's that's what disappoints me a lot, apart from the new sublime music and the new weapons I haven't really seen much difference except I expected much more ... But otherwise yes, Doom Eternal is a good game and it will please any nag or fan of FPS… Expand

    Oh my god.... So this game is great. its fun and just enjoyable really working upon what DOOM (2016) laid down. But god, oh holy great one this game can get hard. im trying out a %100 Nightmare run and im losing my mind. and im gonna try Ultra Nightmare that is nightmare but one life the whole time. i dont know why im commiting so much but i must.

    I think this game is the best one in DOOM series. I loved DOOM 2016 but this game is better. Bigger world, better gameplay and amazing soundtrack. As FPS this game is so much fun, it has great replay value. If you don't care about the story and just need great FPS experience, play Doom Eternal. I highly recommend it.

It has the chainsaw, flame belch and the glory kills which are used for resource management that doesn't make the combat boring. All the weapons have specific uses and are used for specific demons, not like DOOM (2016) which featured the pistol that had no use in the late-game, but in DOOM ETERNAL you useThis game is amazing, it features the core elements of interesting and fun combat. It has the chainsaw, flame belch and the glory kills which are used for resource management that doesn't make the combat boring. All the weapons have specific uses and are used for specific demons, not like DOOM (2016) which featured the pistol that had no use in the late-game, but in DOOM ETERNAL you use the combat shotgun all the way into the late-game, so the game doesn't leave any weapon sitting and collecting dust in your weapon wheel. That is something i really love about DOOM ETERNAL. This game has me glued to my seat for hours before i turn it off. The good level design as well as secrets and platforming to mix the game up is fun and rewarding to the player, the game also sends the player into what the lead game director Hugo Martin calls "The fun zone". This is essentially that the player gets used to the combat flow and learns the DOOM-dance where the fun really starts to kick in, you feel like an unstoppable killing machine and all of a sudden, it's not you running from the demons, it's the demons running from you.     Doom Eternal tops its predecessor by adding much need depth to the combat, enhancing the slayers maneuverability, more interesting levels/locations, better more aggressive AI, rock solid id tech 7 and once again killer soundtrack by Mick Gordon.

    This was something new! This doom was very short and I don’t like the story why the HELL IS ON EARTH? Whatever I loved more the 2016 DOOM that was original retro game for the fans this eternal is some promo mainstream game.

It's a serious miracle that id Software still has the balls to do game like this in times like these and I'm so glad that they maintain their reputation even if many brilliant people left. This game is a fusion of art, attitude and craftsmanship that's rarely seen in any industry. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is weapon upgrading and platforming at some places. It doesn't make the game worse but it takes your attention away from all the brilliant things in there and slows down the pace. But it's true that the environment and architecture in this game is so phenomenal, that I often just stoped and looked at everything and listen to the mysterious ambient music. The weird thing is that the game made me lust for another DOOM 3 type of horror DOOM. I absolutely love DOOM 3 and Eternal, so let's see what's next. Maybe Quake is ready for the reboot too.… Expand

    Fun shooter. Improves upon a lot of the previous doom game and adds more depth. The levels are a lot more varied and are much more enjoyable to explore. The improved movement is a joy.

    I really wanted to like this game, I love games that are pretty difficult. The thing with difficult games however, is that you should really like the game's aesthetic since you will be spending a lot of time in it and repeat certain sections a lot of times.

I know this is just really something that comes down to personal preference but this game just has this really edgelord/listening to dad rock/ iron maiden cover vibe. It just really irritates me and feels like you are moving around in a world of heavy metal kitsch. Since the story is non-existent that is also not really a reason to move forward.
    The shooting mechanics are good but there is a over reliance on switching weapons for a specific enemy that just feels really clunky. There is nothing fun about just looking at the weapon weel and deciding what you should do next when you are already so disinterested. The game's difficulty is relying on the fact that some enemies are weaker to certain ammo types and whenever you switch your weapon the momentum of the action just stops.

    Whoever thought it was a good idea to have platforming sections in a first person shooter should seek medical attention by the way.

    I know that those reasons for me to dislike it are the same reasons why a lot of people love it. All I can say is watch a trailer and listen to some of the soundtrack and see if it clicks for you. I am now playing Returnal and that game is basically the game I wanted this to be.

    My gut told me to not buy this game but it is hold in such high regard I gave it a chance. Sadly I did not really enjoy this at all. It's gunplay still feels solid though and movement feels pretty fluent (although I really think that a game that is so reliant on movement should be third person, definitely not first person)    … Expand

    really fun game enjoyed more than the first tho not as much as I expected. To me Doom 2016 and eternal none of them are as amazing as to everybody else but they are a lot of fun to play through and would be one of those few games that I return to later on

    Context: I played through the whole game on the Playstation 4 version, running on a Playstation 5. This is my first time playing a DOOM game.

    Fast paced dumb fun action. I was playing on easy mode and it still remained consistently chaotic at all times. The gunplay    Context: I played through the whole game on the Playstation 4 version, running on a Playstation 5. This is my first time playing a DOOM game.

    Fast paced dumb fun action. I was playing on easy mode and it still remained consistently chaotic at all times. The gameplay is beautiful crafted to throw varying types of enemies, requiring you to use your whole arsenal of weapons. The gunplay fused with the level design and wonderful soundtrack create a true shoot-em-up first person experience. 90% of the game is shooting, upgrading, stabbing, rinse and repeat, all of which flow nicely. The other 10% has to do with the annoying jump puzzles. I died a lot because I am trash and it ruined the constant craze of dumb fun I was looking for. I also found there really isnt any reason to return to the game once I finished the campaign. The multiplayer was a decent attempt but it was anything worth investing time into. You do keep your upgrades from previous playthroughs and continue to upgrade them but, the single player gameplay doesnt change so all thats remains is to hunt for collectibles and complete mini challenges. I found the campaign to be short for a franchise that is historical a single player experience. There is no need to understand prior DOOM lore, which makes DOOM Eternal an excellent entry into the franchise.    … Expand

    This game is so good! Doom Eternal surpassed Doom (2016) in evert aspect. Fast paced frenetic gameplay filled with action, great graphics and delicious soundtrack.

    This game is a solid 10/10. The graphics, the fast paced gameplay, the story, the lore, the music. All of these are done so well. This is the best doom game ever made. I'm looking forward to the next one. Doom is a franchise that sends a big **** you to the slow paced shooters

    Yes has you can see that pretty intense gameplay cause this game is a FAST-FPS like quake.
    The level design is just incredible and artistic direction is breathtaking. For all monster and mobs there is different AI for each one and all of the weapons are so much powerful. The most important for me is the diversification of the gameplay cause all demons have a strength and weakness.

    Just buy it. It's like nothing else out there right now, and heart-poundingly challenging at times. Lots of good bonuses and easter eggs as usual, blah blah blah. From what I can tell it's very well optimized as well, I never experienced and chugging at all. Couple freezes and one or two bugs which forced me to reset the level (which was frustrating), but overall a complete gem.

    This game is an adrenaline rush beginning to end. My only complaint is that the platforming in this game almost universally sucks & I winced every time I came to another platforming section. Story was a lot better than the 2016 Doom imo as well.

    Ich empfehle dringend, dieses Spiel zu kaufen, es ist alles, was ich von einem FPS-Spiel wollte und noch mehr. es kann manchmal etwas schwierig sein, aber es wäre langweilig, wenn es kein hartes Spiel wäre, da alle DOOM-Spiele ziemlich hart sind.

    ID Software understands their audience. What more can you ask for over killing hordes of demons to an epic metal soundtrack. The fluidity of combat, the frenetic movement and speed, it's all years and years of a wonderful formula literally perfected. It's a great, stupid time!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Fantastic! This game really amplified itself. You utilize all the weapons in your inventory making everything feel somewhat important. Every enemy has a weakness and the supershotgun with grapple added massive amount to the game with just this simple mechanic. It runs great on almost every pc and with still visually stunning. Even on the Nintendo switch. I was expecting just a fast paced shooter like Doom 2016. But this game delivered in graphics, atmosphere, and gameplay, and the music is the best and makes me want to beat the hell out of demons. The story is awesome connecting the original fps Doom, Doom 2, Doom 64 to this main title a fan boys dream. They make you feel like the boss in the game like your the one to be feared. I do wish they added snap map mode. Just a fantastic game it should have been Game of the Year it delivered on every aspect and went above and beyond what I thought it was going to be. I grew up with Doom 2 playing at 5 years old and it hit my nostalgia bone like a freak train. I pre ordered it and never regretted my purchase please add in snap map mode!… Expand

    Bad-ass dude with guns that can shred demons at the gates of hell... what more can you ask for. The best single player shooter out there with loads of challenges and hidden items to collect. Quite an interesting story that sort of summarizes the entire journey of the Doom slayer and concludes it perfectly, at least according to me and for me.

    VERY GOOD GAME! one of my favorites it has a lot of unique mechanics that take a bit to get used to but that adds a good challenge doom is so fun the demon models look sick and the combat is very fun and rewarding.

    Great game - good gameplay with puzzles and challenges along the way. Some of the "platform" type stuff can appear daunting, but I usually got there after a few attempts.

    Very good FPS, level design with small onions, catchy and punchy music. Really excellent. If you liked DOOM 2016, this is only the culmination of it, so go for it.
