Sep 10, 2014Unoriginal console shooter that brings nothing new to the table. Instead this game rides with the same CoD 4 gameplay and adds few RolePlayingGame and Halo elements. Boom! Brand new game.

Oct 15, 2014This game is NOT what it seems to be. I felt disappointed when I first played after all that video promotions. To me it's just another pure shooter, but what is worst about it is the way everybody sells it as: THE GAME.
This is not THE game, as it is not a next gen either. -

Sep 14, 2014The biggest con in video games history. P t barnum once said that a sucker was born each minute and Destiny is further proof of that. Activision and bungie are laughing and rolling in mountains of cash. 500 million day one sales, for an insubstantial bit of rubbish that's closer to dried bird droppings scraped from a shoe than to a playable video game. Well done gentlemen.

Dec 16, 2014Ok its a good game, but its a fad, its fun for a while, but then it doesent feel fun anymore, they want to emulate wow but they dont succed. Borderlands did it already. My grade reflects the moeny invested by Bobby Kotic, witch tbh I think he stole it.

Sep 16, 2014its nothing more than a over hyped mediocre game. Its neither really bad but also it doesn't even come close to be the game we were promised. Its like this with most AAA titles lately. Destiny, Watch_Dogs, GTA 5 etc. Im loosing faith in the developers

Jun 4, 2015fun for all of 5 minuites. it's the same, all the time. it's crap. the graphics? nice. that's all. the bad? Same gun skins, no real feeling of weapons, all same armour, And the "Missions?" go to a planet, kill some grunts, defend your ghost, kill a reskinned enemy who is strong, find loot and that's all.
-
Sep 11, 2014Pros: Nice graphics, weapons have a good 'feel' to them, good competitive multiplayer.
Cons: Everything else; **** story, very 'grindy' game, uninspired enemies, vast tracts of nothing while playing. Huge letdown. -

Sep 14, 2014This is my second review for this game. I'm now at level 23 and can say I've experienced enough of the game to make a complete review. In short it's got even more boring and even more repetitive. This will be the first game that I have ever returned :(
-
Sep 9, 2014This game has a lot of repetition, and is boooring. All the missions are identical. Every mission looks the same... Don't buy it, save your money to holiday hits.
-
Sep 15, 2014It can be cool and great at first, but much like masturbating it really wears off after the third time of doing the same thing in a row. Repetitive, boring, sterile, lame, whatever. Don't waste your time nor money here.
-
Sep 9, 2014Its basically an expensive Spartan Ops with nothing else to it, but with no communication and no story. Why spend so much on advertising and fire most of the staff for some third rate coop game Activision?
-
Sep 12, 2014I cant really describe it as anything more then a absolute bore. after playing for about 6 or so hours you can quickly realize that this game has really nothing over any other generic shooter/rpg game.
-
Sep 12, 2014Overall, it sucks. Here is why. The voice chat is extremely limited. I did not find this out until tonight. I thought voice chat in multiplayer was a given. It isn't multiplayer without communication. I feel like I'm playing with bots and no story. What good does it do to explore worlds if you can't talk to anybody?
-
Sep 12, 2014This game was held back due to parity 60 fps has been the standard for shooters since COD 4. 30 fps is almost unplayable and when the next COD comes out this game will be just like Titan Fall a complete ghost town. Parity needs to stop Devs your hurting your product.

Nov 25, 2014Although Destiny isn't the brilliant start to a franchise that many had hoped for, it's a great game for those who can push through its flaws and enjoy the ride.
-
Edge MagazineNov 5, 2014What is most amazing of all is that despite its litany of weird little problems, Destiny is fantastic, its combat up there with the very best, the thrilling rhythm of its battles still not fading the 30th time through, and it has no single systemic problem that is not fixable. [Dec 2014, p.106]

Pelit (Finland)Oct 25, 2014Destiny is a flawed but still extremely fun first person shooter. While the Destiny universe itself seems intriguing, the storyline is told in such an incoherent manner that it's hard not to be turned off by all the technobabble. Fortunately the co-op shooter mechanics are absolutely perfect. The loot system can be maddening, but in a way it adds to the game's addictiveness. [Oct 2014]
