    Un des meilleurs jeux de tous les temps. Une histoire superbe, un lore de dingue, une mise en scène de ouffisime et des musiques sublimes. J'ai pris une claque monumentale, même après presque 80h de jeu.

    This game isn't for everyone but if you stick with it, the story will slowly unravel itself and build into one of the most amazing adventures you'll have within a video game. The mechanics are different and the world is strange but by the end, you'll be left with a connection to this game that is like no other.

While Death Stranding may not be a game for everyone due to it's different approach to gameplay and management systems, it shines in every aspect it tackles. Immersive and large landscapes are there for you to approach and explore the way you feel like it, while taking caution not to damage your packages and equipment. Immersive and large landscapes are there for you to approach and explore the way you feel like it, while taking caution not to damage your packages and equipment. The game offers you a huge variety of tools, vehicles and equipment to help you traverse faster and safely. Each cargo has specific conditions that determine your score, meaning that sometimes you won't be able to walk on water with it or have the need to avoid impacts at all costs, making the experience challenging and providing a need of different planning for each journey. The online cooperative aspects of the game are genius and create a feeling of solidarity and accomplishment while you help others and yourself in this journey. The game also offers many scoring screens where you can check your delivery scores and level of connection with other players, the concept is simple, the more you help, the more you'll be helped. With ladders, ropes, bridges and other types of structures from other players showing up in your world if you decide to donate and help other players with your own items. The player is not forced to take on optional sidequests, though these may reward you with special items that will improve your travels.The story is simply fantastic and very cinematic, though it drags a bit during the middle chapters. The lore of the game keeps expanding and everything starts to make sense, while you grow deeply more immersed into the plot and it's unique characters. Death Stranding's gameplay is focussed on traversal, solidarity and inventory management. The player must be careful with the harsh world of Death Stranding, with it's rivers, cliffs, rain that damages your cargo and entities that show up while it rains. Now for the negatives points worth taking not of. Combat is present in the game but lacks polishing, though it provides an interesting challenge. Enemies will attempt to steal your cargo and stun you with equipment and vehicles. Boss battles are the weak aspect of the game, being repetitive and resource consuming, meaning that by the end of it you may not feel that you gained much from it and that it should've been avoided it altogether. The game's UI is very complex and crammed, taking a lot of time to get used to. Despite it's complexities, Death Stranding is a very simple concept that, once learnt, turn the game into a smooth experience. The game doesn't offer much variety in it's gameplay loop besides survival and cargo/inventory management, though these systems are very detailled and have lots of ramifications. Death Stranding is a very different experience from games nowaday, meaning that it'll be very divisive. If you want to try something unique, with an amazing story, immersive moments (some even scary), definitely check it out.… Expand

The environment is stunning, and furthermore it can be climb up to the mountain, not just a copy and paste picture. Yes, the first 3 chapter was boring, but after completed Fragile story, things getting interested. The story started getting attractive, and the ending was mind blowing. The moment when Clifford finally talk to Sam, which is his son are so touching. BGM and OST was well placed. Truly a GOTY material.

    Although many critics are towing the correct line when they say the gameplay may get monotonous, the interesting characters and extremely twisty turny story make this the most unforgettable experience on ps4

    Story is engaging, exciting and the game does an amazing job of connecting you emotionally to the characters you meet. The gameplay is a bit bland at some points but the story, the soundtrack and everything else make up for it. I highly recommend this to anyone who's interested.

    Changing my original review. I gave it a 4 to begin with. But the more I play the better it gets. Theres nothing like this, I absolutely love it! The game starts off very very slow and has a lot of mechanics at play that take some time to get use to. Everything is building up and up and up. This is definitely a must play and GOTY for 2019.

Kojima had a message he wanted to put across in this game, from the scenery to the dialogue and the soundtrack. In short, Kojima had a message about what it means to be lonely and what it means to reconnect and be able to reconnect. Which are two40 hours in and I’m still enjoying the world and metaphors about what the effects of loneliness can do and what You really makes us human. Kojima had a message he wanted to put across in this game, from the scenery to the dialogue and the soundtrack. In short, Kojima had a message about what it means to be lonely and what it means to reconnect and be able to reconnect. Which are two different concepts. It’s a surreal and empowering feeling when the emotion you always associated with others is being estranged, but when you finally manage to get the will to reconnect, the people you always viewed as estranged are just as human as you, wanting to connect as well.

    The game is a fetch quest, but that is the purpose and point. This is what we do in waking life, forced to talk to people who are otherwise strangers but in that we find the strands that connect us. Everyone is a stranger to someone until we connect. And once we connect, we are no longer burdened by the chore of what they ask, we do it gladly, because we are now connected. And knowing that, they also respond in kind. Why would they not respond similarly? That metaphor is abundant in the game. Respect what your expect. The music being a haunting reminder of what the game is about. It’s about connecting. Leave your preconceived notions, fears and worries, reach out and connect! You will be happier once you do. Sam is your avatar, and your guide of your fears. Reach out to someone.     It's a depressing game about depression. It's an uplifting story about reconnecting with your past, everyone around you and learning to feel again. It's a game that came out at a point in my life where this kind of game was exactly what I needed.

    It might not be for you, if walking over rocky mountains and making sure your cargo stays in one piece sounds boring it probably is for you.    It's a depressing game about depression.     It might not be for you, if walking over rocky mountains and making sure your cargo stays in one piece sounds boring it probably is for you. For me it was all about the journey. It kept me more hooked than any shooter ever has. For the 40+ hours I spent exploring and traveling over the world that Kojima has crafted I felt completely immersed.

    I won't spoil anything, since I think the story is best experienced blind, but if you love Kojima's story telling you'll love this. If you don't know what to expect from him, I'll tell you this, the story and characters are going to make you feel every emotion across the spectrum.

    At the end of Death Stranding, I felt as if I could do anything. Doom is coming, but it's the steps we take towards our end that count, not the ending itself.

    Keep walking. Pick up the pieces. Help and reach out to those around you. It's going to work out.    … Expand

I’m excited for every new “episode” that occurs. It is without a doubt my personal game of the year. Don’t let the mixed reviews fool you, a lot of those came from players who fell off during the opening game (which I get is a drag). But they didn’t make it far enough to see the story blow wide open and keep you guessing at every cutscene. I compared it to megan to the first 2 seasons of the walking dead. When I was into that show, I was **** in. And I couldn’t wait for every new episode and the story was incredible. The gameplay is fun and engaging but the story is what has me enthralled. If you even have a slight interest in this game, check it out. 9.5/10 (P.S. they added a patch to enlarge the text size in the option menu on the title screen. Do so as quickly as possible.     After playing 90+ hours, I finished. It was a tremendous experience. The dynamics of gameplay were surprising with their diversity, though carrying cargo in essence, as well as satisfying the ways of environmental exploration and transportation. If the story was interesting, it could have been better written. The performances of the actors were very good.

    I'm not surprised by Kojim's reference sources, from Harari's books to Stranger Things. The scientific hypotheses used in the story, the philosophy of existentialism, the importance and use of the fiction in the play were appropriate.

    I read every note and note curiously.

    One of the biggest criticisms of Kojima's MGS series is the formation of dozens of equipment used in the game, such as barrels, for example.

    Perhaps, this game is designed to respond to these criticisms. If we use the visual and mass volume of almost any item in a game, the answer to how we uncover a game is Death Stranding.

For me, this game was an extremely introspective and philosophical experience that made me question the meaning of existence and human interaction. The narrative TRULY made my head swirl, philosophizing and theorizing the meaning of it all.

    The purpose of Death Stranding was NEVER an exciting and addicting traditional "gameplay" experience. In fact, Hideo Kojima was purposely poking fun at gaming/social media culture and satirizing with social commentary at every turn. It cracks me up to read all the comments about Death Stranding boiling down to a glorified FedEx simulator...those people just DON'T GET IT. Hate to say it, but I just don't think the majority of people playing video games in this day and age have the attention span and mental capacity to truly appreciate an experience like this. Kojima ha sabido reinventarse e innovar en un título que si bien se centra en su historia, es capaz de aportar un gameplay adictivo y que te motiva a seguir jugando y progresar. Es cierto que en alguna ocasión puede hacerse algo repetitivo oDeath Stranding es una obra que si bien no es para todos los públicos, es capaz de engancharte si sabes abrir tu mente y dejarte llevar por ella.     I just simply love this game. Its very addictive. Theres no Satisfaction that beats the one you get after youve travelled through rough terrains to get to your destination. I get more deliveries done than I do the main story

    However, when I do get to get back on track with the story, the level of attention, interest just hits the charts, because the story is just amazing and absolutely    I just simply love this game.     E jogo mostra a evolução do personagem principal, uma história que te deixa mais curioso a cada capítulo, mecânicas do jogo muito boas de acordo com o local e o sistema online ajuda bastante.
    Vale muito a pena esse jogo.

However, if you do as the game encourages, and spend time planning routs, choosing the judging what tools are worth hulling, and pick the right means or travel (bike, truck, or feet), then the you may have a lot of fun. I say “may” because this game is slow!

    A secondary and almost completely over looked game play mechanic is helping other players. I think this might be the part of the game I like the most. You can deliver cargo the found but where unable to deliver themselves, you can build bridges and roads to help the get around, and after you have built something or even just helped them finish building something, then you get to see when other people use your buildings.

    Menu Screen Hell – One thing this game really messed up is the menu screens. I will not get into explaining why they suck as a lot of people have already done that much better than I can.

    Story:

    It is not easy to separate story from game play in Death Stranding because so much of the game play tells the story. Your character, Sam, is a loner who is establishing connection between other people and then eventually becomes connected to these people as you (the player) become connected to other players.

    Awesome gameplay, awesome story, and a great world realized by a master author. This game made me happy, sad, mad, melancholic, cry and had me realize to stop being so isolated and try and build some connections to the ones around you. There are some glitches and the vehicles control weird/bad, but those small complains do not hamper this, for me, 200 hour game of the year cannidate.

I bought the standard version and I just ordered the PS4 4 Death Stranding limited edition because I want to see it in 4k. I am only in Chapter 9, but I am already hooked.     Best experience i ever had with a game. It's unique with it's own way and is fun to play. When you deliver a package to it's destination you get the feeling of completion, just like in a souls game after you beat a hard boss....I heavily recommend to all the gamers out there to give it a try and have there minds blown.

    Through compelling story telling medium, Kojima delivered the idea that video games have the potential to be so much more than just entertaining. Dull game play mechanics, but amazing story line and visuals. If you beat the game, you will most likely change your negative reviews about this game. Slow build up and lack of interesting combat mechanics are the only downsides of this game.

    Tendo um cenário cheio de detalhes e múltiplas opções de exploração fica fácil de ser perder no game apenas Admirando o cenário, porém, com tanto do que já falei ficou claro a falta de vida, mas claro, o que vc queria de um game pós apocalíptico ???
    E essa sensação de que vc está sozinho no mundo o jogo lhe entrega    É inegável que a primeira coisa que irá te surpreender será os gráficos !!!

    I have been playing Death Stranding for more than a month now, finished it and started a new game and it has given me a lot of gaming-satisfaction. As many have pointed out, the game can not possibly be for everyone but for those that like organizing Zip-Lines for a cross country fastest possible deliveries, it is :-) I give this game a ten out of ten.

    Different and unique , it reveals to you a new way of playing and enjoying a game . I kept buying titles and just be bored shortly after started playing but I somehow managed to sink 100 hours in Death Stranding .. Not whitout some good reasons . The best thing is to discover the game by yourself

    This game is not for everyone but it's definitely for me. The story is absolutely amazing and the ending is great, the best i have seen in a game for a long time. This is a genre defining game and really good at it. Well done Hideo Kojima!!!

    The hate surrounding Death stranding is fake, false, and is nothing but a bunch of idiots there complain about a game being the same every year but when death stranding which is a game that is very original very new and is very different comes out they complain about it.     Bold, comforting, simple and compelling. Those are the 4 words that defined my Death Stranding experience as a player. The message it carries and all its positivity in a death surrounded world are remarkably one of the most original setting I've seen in this generation. Kojima has yet again outdone himself. The entire cast felt convincing, the world, despite its emptiness and loneliness,Bold, comforting, simple and compelling. Those are the 4 words that defined my Death Stranding experience as a player. The message it carries and all its positivity in a death surrounded world are remarkably one of the most original setting I've seen in this generation. Kojima has yet again outdone himself. The entire cast felt convincing, the world, despite its emptiness and loneliness, feels comfortable, like lying under a blanket in a rainy day. I don't know if the game needed to exist or if it will create a genre but that's how art goes and as far as playing, I've experienced a 100% bug-free gameplay, with incredible animations, smooth and addicting gameplay and memorable set-pieces. For me Death Stranding is a 10/10 and my Game of the Year for 2019… Expand

    Kojima has done it again. This game is fantastic is has my vote for game of the year. The story came out really well, not a surprise since it's from Kojima. Very beautiful to look at. And once the game starts giving you all the crazy features to explore the world, I was hooked.     I started game and took me couple hours to get use if the controls and the rest.Its weird but very addictive after a while.iam on 60h + now and can't stop playing it.Sounds and graphics are top.But The deepnes of it it's not for everyone.

    Lets start with the good. This is the most beautiful game I have ever played. It just looks breathtaking. The variety of the map is also wonderful, from the snowy mountains to the dry and barren canyons. The music is also excellent and fits into the game world. I am so glad Death Stranding introduced me to the band Low Roar. The game audio is also wonderful, I played with Sennheiser headphones which maybe managed to get the most out of the game.

    The story was above average and did keep me engaged for the most part. I did find myself getting immersed in the world. The delivery of the story by the actors was also very good and on par with the beauty of the world.

    Now for the controversial bit...gameplay! For me it was not bad. I enjoyed my treks across the world, and also the moments of suspense when you come across BT and MULE territory. The driving however, left much to be desired. Driving was just a convenient way to get from A to B, I took no pleasure in it. The boss fights were also interesting but not very challenging albeit, I played on normal difficulty. Maybe try hard if you want more of a challenge.

    So, in conclusion, graphics 10, music 10, audio 10, story 8, gameplay 7 giving this game an average of 9.    … Expand

    Really cool game once you get your head around it. Starts off slow and unusual, but as you progress to more challenging terrain, and you get more gadgets, the game really opens up. Took me about 60 hours to beat it.
    Not for kids or adults with short attention spans, this game asks you to play by interesting new rules, and if you let it, it just might suck you in.

Moving your weight around and making sure to check what slopes are the best for traversal made me feel like I was hiking on vacation. I lost countless hours just wondering around building the interstate that leads from east coast to west coast. I loved everything about to ambiance of the game and how isolated you would feel. Some people would argue that there is nothing to interact with, where are all the people?! Well since its a scary time to go outside in America, it makes sense and the isolation feels very real. Sam as a character is great and at first he barely speaks his peace and mind. Then throughout the game he slowly starts to open up and connect with more and more people. In the end, this game captivated me from the very first cutscene to the end credits. I loved it and personally think people hate on this game just to hate. Now I like Kojima but before I played Death Stranding, I didn't think he was the creative genius everyone puts him out to be. But now after playing this masterpiece in storytelling and innovative gameplay, I am here to say I am going to buy whatever he makes next, no questions asked after what I experienced playing this game.… Expand

    Kojima said he's creating a new genre and he hopes it will be looked at as a new standard in 10 years or something..
    I can guarantee that this Genius did what i expected..

    Not a game for everyone but absolutely a must play if you like the gaming world beyond casual and repetitive games. I thought it was going to be boring just to realize somehow that the gameplay keeps me hooked till the end. Also amazing OST, graphics, art design and story.
    The enphasis this game makes on the field and terrain makes any game that you walk through feel obsolete in this matter.

    Wonderful Game created/crafted by Hideo Kojima. Definitely not made for all, some tedious actions do occur but I had no problem with them because I was fully immersed in the beautiful world Kojima has made.

    Most people that downvoted this game is because they're just not used to these kind of games, and don't like to inmerse in a game that requires time to understand the story. People that downvoted are usually the ones that expected a fast paced online action shooter with a mediocre story easy to understand with no background or extra work to do to fully understand it.

    Its admirable that Kojima risked everything for this project and definetly this game is not what everyone expected, but its for sure something different. And i liked it.

    Philosophy, human nature, are some stuff that we rarely see in videogames, and EMPATHY is one of the best qualities you must have to understand the story and really enjoy it.    … Expand

It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
