    Dead by Daylight has a huge Problem at the moment: The Frame Rates on PS4 are so low that the game is not running smoothly and it is nearly impossible to play some Killers on certain maps. The Community has tried to get some Feedback from the Devs but there is silence since weeks. There is a thread (link omitted per site rules) which explains everything with over 14k Views and 600+Dead by Daylight has a huge Problem at the moment: The Frame Rates on PS4 are so low that the game is not running smoothly and it is nearly impossible to play some Killers on certain maps. The Community has tried to get some Feedback from the Devs but there is silence since weeks. There is a thread (link omitted per site rules) which explains everything with over 14k Views and 600+ Replies but not 1 (!) single reply of the Dev Team. So as a paining customer i and a play time with roughly 3000 Hours + must say I am really disappointed how the devs treat their customers and fans. Make the frames on PS4 great again!… Expand

Aside from an extremely grindy battlepass and Dead by Daylight focusing more on $15 cosmetics than fixing game bugs, the devs have completely ignored the console community. With each update the game has become worse and worse to play on console. The FPS is bad as survivor but nearly unplayable as killer. They added in crossplay with PCDead by Daylight was my favorite game - key word WAS. The console community turned to the official forums, creating a post with 1k comments and 21k views but the devs had a mod close it without giving the console community any answers and told members any further posts about console optimization would be deleted. The devs have made it pretty clear that if you want to play Dead by Daylight you should play it on PC because they are not going to give console any attention.… Expand

If you want to play a game that at the start makes your ps4 sound like a jet engine, experience consistent frame drops, be at a disadvantage to PC in crossplay due to lack of optimization, and have it be extremely grindy to level up characters and complete battle passes then DBD is the game for you. The devs promised the console community two years ago that they would optimize console but haven't done anything to make console optimization better. Recent updates have made the fps even worse for console. Console players had a post going in the official forums that was over 30 pages long of console players, with support from some PC players, looking for answers on fixing the issues with console. At most console players get a "we're looking into it" but they've been giving that response for 2 years now, it's time they start doing more than "looking into it." The mods of the forum closed the 30 page post with threats to delete future posts console makes about optimization. Console players are persistent and have been trying to make new posts which if the Mods aren't deleting they are instead sinking so comments don't bump the post to the top. Devs ignore console players looking for optimization and have not said anything regarding next gen which comes out in a couple months.

    If you are truly interested in playing Dead by Daylight get it on PC because console version is just a waste of time and money.    … Expand

    Jogo sem manutenção de bugs, faz perder o progresso do ranking quando o assassino sai do jogo ou cai a ligação. Faz perder item e entre outras coisas com esse problema. Assassinos nesse jogo são desbalanceados em comparação aos sobreviventes.

    I play on ps4 mainly because i don't have a good computer to continue to play on pc. They added dedicated servers which so far have been very bad at the moment until they optimize it. Causes more lag for the survivors and killer at the moment. When it was P2P i could easily dodge killer swings but now with dedicated you lag backwards more times then you would want to. Game is totally survivor sided and the first step is not getting scared when the terror radius starts making its heartbeat sound. Survive with friends and voice chat makes it totally unfair for the killer with all having perks and items to counter you with communication. 20ranks your learning the game so it might look killer sided at first. Killers have it more stressful unless your going against solo players which is more favored for killer but by a little. Just have to use your brain a little more to trick them. Plus side graphics are amazing for the maps and characters. Map reworks are huge improvement and i hope they dev's can keep it up.

    What changed from the start of the game. They removed free events and put in a season pass for 10 dollars not long ago. You can get free season pass if you can complete all of the first season pass but it's feels more of a grind than any other season pass i played. Sadly i'm going to have to take a break until things get better and balanced. Wish the devs the best of luck and hope the company decisions do not hurt the game more.    … Expand

    Everyone cheats in this game no matter what not worth money or being free for that matter devs should be ashamed it’s been going on so long not to mention the cross play doesn’t help!

Between the massive hitboxes, the lag/servers, and the various bugs, many of which are legitimately game breaking, it's astounding that this game has made it 3 years. The developers are incredibly slow to act. If a bug is ruining the experience for you, you can bet it'll still there months later. 3 years andAn interesting idea, executed very poorly. Not to mention the ranking system is truly pointless. 0 rewards for reaching any particular ranks, and it's actually rather easy to rank up if you play enough. not that it's worth it, since you'll just be getting even longer queue times than usual. And the wait times are kind of embarrassing, considering how bad the matchmaking is. I won't even get into how toxic this community is, compared to most. At a certain point, it felt like almost every game gave me a reason to be frustrated. It's a shame, cause there's so much potential. It's such an interesting idea, with a few genuinely enjoyable mechanics. Unfortunately, it's just too hard to consistently enjoy it with the numerous problems it has.     Good Idea, bad implementation You wait 10-20 minutes for one round.
    The server are unstabil, that means the Killer can hit you although he cant reach you and its normal to get very laggy rounds.
    You cant play 4 rounds without get a Camper, Tunnler or Troller.
    A lot of bugs are completly normal these bugs are since some month in the game.

    From a good game from the last 2 patches(almost half a year) this game is unplayable. Was good enough to score 7/8 but what devs did starting with the RE chapter, console gaming doesn't exist on this game rn. Stuttering, lag servers make this game hard to even move your character...

    Dead By Daylight is indeed the name of the game.
    I could not handle 5 minutes of the multiplayer. The game is NOTHING like Friday the 13th game. This one feels like a rushed up game and it’s unfair because you can never play as the assassin.
    Don’t buy it.
    Wait for Friday 13th to get back from the legal issue and then get that instead.

We also have what the devs call "aim-dressing" which is like auto-aim except it forces you to miss. About half the killer's that are playable on pc are not on our versions. The devs show no interest in fixing these issues and instead choose to completely ignore the constant complaints about it. Rating this a 1 because playing as survivor isn't too bad - just don't expect to be able to play the full game you paid for.… Expand

    This game could be great, but unfortunately it's reputation is marred by childish mods that are power tripping on the official forums. Unfortunately BHVR has trusted their image to a group of moderators that have no idea of the optics they create by randomly banning people for posting things that are encouraging- even though the frame rates in this game are absolute garbage.

    This game is poorly optimized for console. Frame drops with graphics that were good years ago (yet Red Dead is smooth as butter in 4k). Devs said they were optimizing console 2 years ago, never did, and have refused to comment on it since then (outside of “thanks for telling us! We’ll pass it on to the team” garbage while pretending these complaints are brand new).

    7. Devs did not listen to their community, the contributed topics can be closed anytime if it against their benefit
    8. Anti-cheating is a joke, reporting with proof is not guaranty a punishment, DC penalty is not working
    9. New content is not creative, just add more grinding things in game (rift, challenges)
    10. Long queue time from survivor side, proof of unbalanced game

    A fun idea but poorly implemented. Between laggy servers that affect gameplay, pay to win mictrotransactions, unbalanced teams a lack of insight by the dev team, it is my biggest regret of buying something on sale in a long while. Stay far away or pick up Friday the 13th for the same game but made slightly better.

    The developers care more about making money from cosmetics than focusing on game health. That sums up the entire game. I really hope they continue what they are doing so that the game finally dies.

    I really want to love this game and do play it alot but I cannot recommend this game to others unless you want a terrible experience. Hit box, latency issues, balance issues and with every update more bugs the devs never listen to what the community actually want. but they will always have seasonal paid skins every update ofcourse.     i got this game for cheap at a yard sale that's why i purchased it and i am not he biggest fan and i love horor, horror movie, horror game i love it all but this game just seems dumb i have played it alot as it was one of my first games on playstation and i have bad feelings about this game.

У тебя может быть 10 ранг с 1-2 покачанными манами, против тебя кинет красные 1-3 ранги со всеми скилами. Самая токсичная игра, в которую я играл. Да, совсем забыл. В 20% играх будут встречаться читеры. Если такой винт юзанет лаг свичер на своём ее,Игра, где маньяк развлекает 4 Сурвов. Баланса 0, Сурвами играть очень легко.     When I began playing this game, I expected something in the vein of Evolve - a 4v1 multiplayer that puts greater emphasis on the 1 while giving the 4 a healthy amount of options to deal with the threat. In this aspect, Dead by Daylight    TL;DR - Dead by Daylight is an unbalanced mess of a game that heavily favors one side over another for the sake of "atmosphere" (AKA player hindrance)

    When I began playing this game, I expected something in the vein of Evolve - a 4v1 multiplayer that puts greater emphasis on the 1 while giving the 4 a healthy amount of options to deal with the threat. In this aspect, Dead by Daylight fails in EVERY regard. The 4-person team of "Survivors" are left with little to no way of dealing with the "Killer" player, outside of awkwardly running at a pace that can only be described as "brisk walking". Some may argue this is thematically appropriate, given that this game likes to pretend it's a slasher flick from the 80's. While this may be true, that is no defense for a game that actively hinders the player at every turn for the sake of atmosphere. Wanna heal yourself? Without a special (randomized) perk, too bad, you have to wait for a buddy. Want to strategically bait the monster and try to duck around him? Sucks to be you, monsters have a hit box that would put Call of Duty to shame, and you could get hit even if you're BEHIND the damn thing. Got stuck on the hook and want to try your luck at escaping? How adorable, you get a 4% (ACTUAL NUMBER) chance of succeeding, with 2-3 failures resulting in an instant loss for you. As an added bonus, if you DO manage to escape and then get hooked again, you have roughly 3 seconds before you're booted from the game. Should you play as a Survivor, you will have to deal with the fact that the game is actively trying to MAKE you lose. Playing as a Killer feels clunky and poorly designed, as you must deal with an awkward first-person view that's slightly obscured with a constant mist on your screen. Most killers are very large people that tower over survivors, thus making chasing them feel unnatural as a result, as they will duck into holes and corridors that you simply can't fit through. And yet, picking off Survivors is EXTREMELY easy, as they cannot do a single thing to you, outside of shining lights at you or putting obstacles in your way, which are minor inconveniences at best. Finally, and perhaps the most egregious nail in the proverbial coffin for this wannabe slasher hybrid, a multiplayer game that completely disbands the lobby after EVERY SINGLE MATCH is nothing short of disgraceful.

    I've played several matches with my friends and several more by myself, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this is one of the worst multiplayer experiences I've ever slogged through.

And the developers are always going to make the killer mains more happy than survivor mains.

    Another problem is the controller. The joystick controller on the right that controls the camera is very slow, even at 100% sensitivity. And using your thumb will never be as accurate as using your whole arm when you are using a mouse. It's very hard to look back quickly when your being chased, then looking forwards to see where you are going. And there is a problem that if you move your left joystick button in between the stopped and full speed motion, you'll actually look like your moving in slow motion, this is not helpful in a chase.

    I feel as if developers could do a better job with the chases and make them more fun. If they slowed down the killers on PS4, because of those main issues stated above, and reduce the things killers needed to do in order to pip, I think everyone would agree that they would make chases more fun again, and it would just be a better game. But how it is for now, I wouldn't recommended it unless you like being a killer.    … Expand

The game has a lot of bugs such as not being able to self-heal at times, easily being able to spoof being lower rank, and easily being able to quit with no losses when the game is designed for you to loseI have spent quite a bit of time playing this game.     This game was good once upon a time. Now it's full of bugs that the developer won't fix. It still runs on a P2P connection system? Despite promises to provide dedicated servers. Balance is completely **** up. The game used to favor survivors, then it became balanced for a short while, now it's completely stacked in the killer's favor. This game is now trash. Avoid it at all costs.

    To glitchy, your supposed to hide from killer by rocks and other obstacles. Those very same obstacles you will glitch into and can't get out until the killer kills you. Can't unlock killers or survivals without paying actual money.... very poorly put together, a micro transaction money scam.

    All the meanwhile trying not get caught and healing teammates that do get injured as you’re able to wiggle your way from the killer, and you’re able to help your teammates off of the hooks…
    Being a survivor is in no way fun at all though...
    You can hide in closets... push things in front of the killer as you try to run away...
    But for the most part youre just feeling your way around a dark map hoping you find something so you can leave…
    chases aren’t thrilling, theyre sluggish and cheap…
    And things are just as annoying for the killer…
    As the killer you run around the map trying to either zap or slash the players trying to survive..
    You can grab the hurt player, carry them to a hook and sacrifice them...
    Your goal is to sacrifice all 4 before they can escape…
    This really feels like a game of freeze tag…
    And players will constantly do the annoying playground tactics of run around a giant rock…
    or copping over a ledge over and over until you just get annoyed and crush it with your foot giving them time to run away...
    This definitely keeps the game feeling balanced…
    But it also keeps the game feeling annoying…
    especially the whole running around in circles but trying to get in a lucky swing…
    it is more satisfying to play as the killer though…
    Of catching someone who thinks they’re clever…
    And you’re given enhanced hearing so you can sense when a survivor is repairing a generator or just recently hid in a closet...
    These moments are enjoyable and almost make up for the overall dull experience that is dead by daylight…

There is an skill tree of sorts that allows players to improve certain skills and stats but it makes little to no real difference to the way the game plays.

    If you can get four or five friends together its possible there is some short term fun to be had but in the end the core gameplay is too simplistic and repetitive to hold players interest for very long.    … Expand

    ok so you can't play with friends AND be the killer wich is pretty lame, its 4v1 and online only but the servers arnt too busy, I wish the added a vs AI mode where you can invite friends and chose who the killer is, could be a fun game if they did

Further more about speed, I personally feel the killer is already fast enough which is great! I play killer too. I just do not understand why there is a one hit down for the killer(s). I can kill everyone without the one hit wonder or ranged weapons. I’ve played many survivor games even with great skilled players. I’m currently Rank 3 and when in contact with a one hit killer, dont forget to take into consideration their fast agility, guns/tomahawks, abundant amount of hooks you cannot wiggle out of before finding yourself on one, it makes the game frustrating and then consider taking your time elsewhere at a more suitable and fun game. Do not get me wrong the game is fun, you just get over the it when the past five killers you come across one hitters and a Mori(dying by the hand of the killer without having to be hooked 3x). I get it being hooked 3x is a lot but as mentioned I have no problem being the killer. Theres are Killers that tunnel(focus on one person till their death hook) or camp and wait till the person dies. Once again the game has the potential to be amazing and its fun at times, I know its not meant for survivors to escape but I just feel the killer is too over powered and the survivors are not well equipped in this situation. They dont need weapons yet they are already outran by the killer.… Expand

    I would like to give this game props for it's writing, and overall story. It's very interesting, and each survivor and killer have a very unique lore behind them. Each time a new chapter is announced, I'm interested to see how it plays into the game. But the enjoyable writing, and unique characters in this game simply can't make up for all the previous problems mentioned. It's extremely frustrating to play as a new killer and end up being looped and t-bagged the entire game. It honestly takes away from the experience I imagine the developers were trying to create. I understand that the game can't handicap either side, but I also can't help but feel like something can be changed to help it feel more authentic.

    To conclude, I would recommend Dead by Daylight, but only if you can overlook its many flaws, and, be it the competition or selection of characters, find something in it that you think you'll enjoy.    … Expand

Makes sense why nobody plays this game when they baby the killer so much by giving them a ton of abilities that you won’t even understand without a YouTube tutorial. It was probably fun in the beginning though.
