    First, it should be noted I am playing on PS5 and have seen it on a high-end PC, so I dont have many of the issues that are plaguing some gamers. While I acknowledge there are bugs, this is my experience on PS5.

    This game has the foundation to be a masterpiece. Anyone citing combat, driving, or story as a reason for their negative review is lying.     This game has the foundation to be a masterpiece. Anyone citing combat, driving, or story as a reason for their negative review is lying. They can absolutely have a gripe about the capability of this game with base PS4/Xbone. CDPR screwed up by not making this exclusive to next-gen and PC.

    Aside from that, if you have a PS pro, Xbox One X, PS5 or Highend PC, then this game is absolutely worth the current price of 49 bucks at many retailers. The gameplay is a blast, the story pulls you in, and no two side quests are exactly the same. This is very similar to RDR in that the side quests are a blast and they integrate into the broader story without the feeling of completely becoming undetected to the main story.

    The only issue I have seen on PS5 is after 2-3 hours of game play, I have experienced software crashes bringing me back to the home screen. No data loss as the game autosaves about every 90 seconds. CDPR hasnt given me reason to believe they wont fix these issues, but where they did screw up as previously mentioned was even allowing this title to be available on base current gen consoles (at least not without a HUGE warning).

    Great game, great framework for future DLC, murky attempt to stick the landing but they will get there. This is not a game that lacks ANY content (ie Fallout 76 / No Man Sky). it is there. If you have a base console, maybe wait a few months, but dont give up on this.    … Expand

    It's a game that is not a bad experience. Overall fun.
    Now, after several updates, it seems to have good stability and can be played.
    I suggest you play on the new generation (PS5).

    On my PS4 Pro it's been a 9 but on ther people's regular PS4's it's a 3. I'm sad that soooo many issues exist but I can say my experience has been great overall and I love the game. Yes it has issues but God damn its a good.

    The beginning of the game is extremely slow and boring. I was really worried this game wouldn't live up to the hype and just be a dialogue fest. However, the game slowly picks up and the combat is pretty enjoyable. It has a good mix of SMG, AR, Pistols, and Melee weapons. The graphics are also very nice on PS5. Nothing too crazy but seeing the city is a sight to behold.    Played on PS5:

    Some problems with the game come from the story and the loot. There is way too much dialogue and way too much loot. Out of my 20 hours of playtime, I crashed about 10 times or more.

    Aside from all the negatives, I am addicted to this game. There is a lot to do and many missions to pursue. I understand that on PS4, this game is horrible. If you have a PS5, I highly recommend buying this game or at least waiting a few months for bug fixes. Do not skip on this game because it truly has something great to offer.    … Expand

    The game is what I expected, it is big and complex. The enormous amount of choices and possibilities is sometimes even overwhelming, but in a positive sense. Gameplay is very enjoyable, shooting is almost perfect, and well combined with hacking can be a lot of fun. The graphics knock you on your knees. luckily I play PS4Pro and I don't know how it works on the basic version of the console.The game is what I expected, it is big and complex.     A rich gaming experience with plenty of ways to discover and interact with a very interesting world. Well done CDPR. Runs fine on PS4 Pro. This review is assuming that the developers will fix any remaining issues and even enhance the game in some minor aspects, and history shows that they will.

    Just like the witcher 3 at its lunch, needs more fixing but I have faith is CDPR. The game overall is great and will be way more by time. Waiting for the PS5 version of it and I'm sure it'll be one of the greatest experiences I've ever had.

    This is one of the best games I have ever played, I couldn't wait to come back from work every day to play it, it is so addictive and the story is great. I didn't have any major technical problems but I was playing on PS5.

    Playing on the Ps5 and runs at 60 FPS.
    Loving the story and the mechanics.
    Few bugs here and there but nothing that destroys the experience.

    There's still a couple of them out there but in a nutshell this game is playable.
    I'm loving the story and gameplay although for the amount of time I was expecting something else. If you liked Deus Ex, you're going to love CP2077. - I'm hoping that CDPR will put as much effort going forward as Hello Games    I'm playing in PS4 second gen. I’ve experienced quite a few crashes, but that still doesn’t spoil the game for me. People need to remember that an RPG is different to your Fortnites and Call of Dutys.     Apart from a few visual and non breaking bugs, the game is honestly great. The visuals, gameplay and immersion are all great and I've already managed to sink 60+ hours without even being halfway through the story. Definitely a game worth spending your time and money on!

    Having waited for quite some time for the bugs to be corrected, this game really picked itself up from the gutters. I found myself deeply immersed in the cyberpunk atmosphere and often forgot about my main mission because the side missions, stories and characters were so good.

    I’m playing on PS5, what is offering me a really nice experience so far. Of course I’d wished to me a little more rpg elements here and there. Or growing hair, little survival elements here and there etc, but that’s just personal taste. I like immersive stuff like this but I know a lot of players probably don’t, they rather expect a smooth tripe A experience.     It is not a great game, but this game shows you a story instead of telling you one. If it is about RPG I am not into this at all, I do not like shooting in a Sponge. But it is really enjoyable. Optimalization needs to be fixed and bugs also but I am sure they are working hard on this game still and this will be one of the best games of all time.     I played the game on ps5 through the ps4 port and I really enjoyed the game despite all the bugs and crashes that happened. The gameplay is awesome and addicting. The story is great and very fast paced. There's so many alternate choices that are very interesting.

    I would give 10/10 if not the problems with frame rate, mostly in the most iconic, beautiful and crowded spots in Night City. This is annoying especially that the world is designed so beautifully that the frame rate drops makes you distracted. The story, the characters and the fights are done great.     Really enjoyed the first run on PS4Pro and now with the PS5 update and my second run it bring a whoie new dimension to the game. Absolutely love the graphical update. The cityscapes look amazing and the whole feel of the game is now much more realistic. Some minor bugs still exist but CDPR seem to be working really hard on getting this to be a the game we all hoped for.

    The best thing about the game is writing. All characters are really different, dialogs are great, you do feel your decisions are making an impact (although still need to see how much - btw, in Witcher 3 there were only 5 or 6 decisions that actually affected storyline ending). Now I'm in position where I have 3 different main quests and by the look of things they all move the story to completely different directions, I'm super excited to explore them all.

    Another great thing is the city and the way how activities are laid out. You go to a side street and there is usually a new adventure and some reward waiting to be found - the game does reward exploration nicely. It's not about running around from one generic activity to another - all missions are pretty different and have good justification.

    Skills system also looks promising so far. With every attribute point I have to really think what to invest in, since all of them have their rewards. The system clearly supports a number of different builds allowing for completely different play styles. I went for a stealthy/hacking approach and I can see how perks selection is allowing me to do exactly what I want. Hacking is fun - like if you see a pair of enemies, you can deafen one via hacking and shot another without the first one noticing. I play on hard difficulty and all these skills actually matter - you can't just run around with a gun shooting enemies (at least, not with my Body attribute). I've read some complains about poor AI and haven't noticed much of that - they take cover, throw grenades, heal themselves and try to flank you just fine.

    What I don't enjoy as much is user interface. I feel they tried to make something that would work both with a mouse and with a gamepad and succeeded in neither. They could have used gamepad triggers/sticks for better access to filtering / sorting (or even grouping!). You get flooded in similarly-looking items, disassembling process is painful, modification UI is cumbersome. Hack options are just presented as a flat list and sometimes it's just not possible to pick up a particular item in the world. Also UI doesn't tell you everything - like, when abilities trigger (there are randomly triggered abilities which I hate) or how much of something you've picked up or gained. Or even what different hacking icons mean, or what level an item has. This is an RPG after all - a high level T-shirt can give a better armour than a low-level military vest.. Same with enemies - you wander into a wrong district and quickly realise that same enemies now kill you with a bullet or two, while your headshots are just a scratch for them, and there is no visual clue for that (maybe there'll be an implant for that later though).

    Craft feels a bit underwhelming so far - there is very little difference between common/uncommon weapons and their rare/epic equivalents, so far power bonus doesn't seem to be worth the hassle, hopefully the game will prove me wrong. The good thing though is that you can actually profit from craft, though the process feels like an in-game job (as it probably should)

    Driving is hilarious (in a bad way), collisions physics is super off and handling feels terrible. The first car is just impossible to drive, but actually there are better cars out there. I like how different cars feel differently on the road and after investing into a good ride I can finally reach my destination without crashing into every single obstacle on my way to it.

    Police's behaviour is somewhat concerning so far. They don't care about you as long as you're not killing other people - apparently there is no penalty for hijacking a car and you can crash into others all day long. Even when they do, they lose interest as soon as you turn around a corner. Also there is no concept of theft - you just come into people's houses and take everything you want, which kind of breaks the immersion a bit for me.

    It also feels like some parts of the game had been cut last moment - like there are crime scenes that are surely meant to be investigated with the Braindance interface (which is awesome), but I wasn't able to unlock these and haven't found any evidence they work yet.

    The game certainly looks raw, but despite issues it's a legitimately deep, engaging and enjoyable single player experience (without in-game store, microtransactions, daily events and activities designed to slow you down). I know community is furious about performance on base PS4, I haven't seen it myself but on Pro it runs ok. I just hope they'll be able to fix issues and get them out of this mess - the game itself is actually pretty good and does definitely deserve attention.    … Expand

    I’m about 25 hours into this gem!! I have seen one bug so far where Jackie’s motercycle flies around and smashes into stuff after he gets off of it. Once the second patch dropped I noticed some more graphical improvement. I think story is amazing so far and combat is very challenging on hard. I honestly feel this game will be another masterpiece by CD Projekt Red we just need to beI’m about 25 hours into this gem!!     Where to start! The game is glorious and was worth the wait. The RPG elements are so we'll thought out. I feel like I can actually progress in any way I want, and different attributes like cool and intelligence are almost like different lifestyles. Elements like crafting and armor take a while to get to, so I don't have a ton of experience with them, but what I have seen is promising.
    The world is perfect. You can tell a lot of love was put into Night City and I can't stop appreciating it. Sometimes I will pull my car over and just look around at everything because there is just so much. In fact, at first this was a negative for me, I felt overwhelmed, but I grew accustomed to it pretty quick and now I love it.
    The story is a little slow to take off but once you get through that prologue, man you become invested. I have stayed up until 3 a.m. because I wanted to play more. The only gripe with the story so far is I wish the life path intros were longer. I only played the Nomad one so far, but I think it was maybe an hour or less long then I was just hanging with Jackie. But being a nomad still gives me dialogue options, it generally changes how my character sees night city and that is definitely something I like.
    And finally, the bugs, which is why everyone is dumping on the game (after literally sending CDPR death threats for the last delay so do what you will with that info.)I am happy to say that after patch 1.04, the bugs have been massively improved. Before this patch, I had experienced a few crashes, frequent texture issues, a couple characters mouths wouldn't move and a few cars were half sunken into the ground. I really didn't have any frame rate issues at all so I can't speak to that, but the rest of the issues I have have disappeared with the patch. After the patch I experienced a glitch some would call game breaking, where I got hit by a big enemy and was sent into a wall. Like glitches into it. I couldn't take damage, but I could kill people. I could also dodge jump and slide in place and gain unlimited xp for it. To fix this horrible, game breaking, unacceptable bug, I just reloaded my save from thirty seconds earlier. Not a problem at all. In short, criticism of the bugs is valid and should be addressed byt it absolutely does not warrant the terrible scores I see here. If bugs are going to ruin the game for you, then don't buy it. But if you're practical and know they will be fixed almost daily until the game runs like butter, then pick up the game and start having fun. It's an absolute blast, one of the best games I have played. Fix the bugs CDPR, and this review goes to a perfect 10/10.    … Expand

    Playing on ps5 the backward compatible ps4 ver. There are bugs, but none of them spoil the fun for me. I like the game overall and I'm sad to see the amount of cyberbulling the authors get. I would like more life in the city, more interactive features, better driving and car customisation. But the game still great. Waiting for fixes, add-ons and dlcs to make it better. Hold on guys.

    I’m playing cyberpunk on PC & PS4 slim right now to check if the differences and the graphics downgrades. PS4 slim is an old hardware but it gave me an amazing graphics playing God of War, the last of us 2, Red dead redemption 2 and cyberpunk 2077 now. I wish players can try to understand that this game is to much on old hardwares and CD project Red will fix this problems ASAP.

PS4 slim is an old hardware but it gave me an amazing graphics playing God of War, the last of us 2, Red dead redemption 2 and cyberpunk 2077 now.     Super Spiel. Jedoch viele Buggs.
    Das Levelsystem und die Story sind super gelungen. Die schön gestalteten Nebenmission machen bis zum Schluss Spass und sind spannend und abwechslungsreich. Die modifikationsmöglichkeiten des Spieler sind echt spannend und machen bock, sich wieder zu leveln. Die Welt sehr bunt und farbenfroh.
    Leider halt viele Buggs.

    Yeah the game has bugs, yes it working betters this days. But I have a ps4 and a ps5 and so far it has been been improving. Will play it again in February once ps5 is activated

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Before you start playing, understand that this is not an RPG, it's more of an open world (Not a sandbox) adventure game. It is not a masterpiece, but a very good story that you will experience in this city.
    For starters, I played it on PS4 slim from the start with the 1 day patch, then started a second walkthroughs with the 1.06 patch. I spent about 170 hours on the two walkthroughs.
    I'm happy with the game rather than frustrated. For the first playthrough I was ready to give the game 10 points.
    The pros of the game: The graphics, the city, the design of all (cars, weapons, clothes, locations), music, combat system, the main story.
    Cons of the game: Vehicle control, mercenary missions, some character reveal, notes, few braindance missions, variation.
    In the beginning I was frustrated at how the game looked. The low resolution of the image. But when I saw the scale of the game I was surprised at all that it could run on the PS4 slim. The game has a completely seamless world. By the way how to play on PS4 slim in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, how was Days gone at the start (I wonder why it was not removed from the PS store, oh yes ...), The Last Guardian, GTAonline. Cyberpunk 2077 goes on PS4 slim normally, the game can crash after 2-3 hours, and do not get out in 4.5 hours.    … Expand

    This game has such an immersive story, it‘s fantastic.
    And yes, the PS4 Version has its problems, but it work astonishingly well on my PS4 Pro. I‘m talking about little to zero bugs. Only some rendering glitches that already got fixed with patch 1.04.

    love this game a lot. i only give it a 9 because the prologue was so slow and boring it almost made me stop playing. but i held on and once i got out of the prologue it got pretty fun. i love the characters, the world, the story and the gameplay. gameplay is so much fun. all and all even with all the bugs, this game feels worth it.

    Game has a good story, lots of side missions, interesting world and Keanu Reves. In 14 hours of playing on classic PS4 I experienced 2 crashes and 3 bugs, but nothing bad, other than that game runs smoothly and graphics were 65% of time good, 5% of time almost photorealistic, 15% of time decent and 15% of time bad. So far it is a great experience.

    Technical difficulties aside. Cyberpunk 2077 is very enjoyable game. Every Bladerunner, Ghost In The Shell fan will be at home there.
    You spend almost entire game trying to get rid of Johnny, but in the end it's the hardest thing to do.

    Played 40 hours, and I most say i really love this game. After a slow start, the game really shines. Ineresting characters and fascinating side quests are some of the key highlights in this game.

    great game, I played it on PS5, two runs, each run took me 80hrs, all sidequests are done, it was a lot of fun! some minor bugs but no game breaking for me. I liked it very much. I would have liked a bit more interactions with Panam, but when her storyline is finished then this is it, but hey, game is great, city is awesome, wait for DLC`s, maybe in one year I will take the third run.

    Too buggy to warrant it's early release but...I had fun. Side bar, Sony and Microsoft should have told CDPR to continue working on the project instead of allowing the game to be sold on their platforms. This terrible launch was every bit their fault along with CDPR.

    Played on the PS4 Pro right on release. There were some noticeable bugs, but nothing that detracted from my enjoyment of the game. Quickly became one of my all time favorites, but I’d recommend waiting a month or two for some more major patches to come through. I have faith this game will be cleaned up and get the renown it deserves.

    I have been playing this game on PS5 and the game runs very smooth. The game crashes about every 90 minutes or so, so I save often and don’t usually miss much. I also love how quick the loading times are. So basically I haven’t had the problems other people have been having on older systems. I love the game so far and the story and presentation are amazing.     First off, this game is pretty addicting. I'm not going to complain about the bugs as they will get patched soon. I love RPGs like this. The narrative and characters are both very engaging and I CANNOT WAIT to see everything that will soon be added to this game.

    After the 1.05 patch the game became much more stable and playable, fps is still between 15-25 but the experience is good enough to enjoy

    Playing the Game since Patch 1.2 hast been released. Almost half way through and its a great experience story-wise so far. Its absolutely playable and I recommend it to everyone who loves Open world Action and Role playing Games.

So about 15 hours in I’m having so much fun with this game yeah so it does have bugs and textures don’t want to seem to load right but never did it stop me from playing this game.     It may have some graphical issues. But for a next generation game on a 7 years console. Its been great experience. I rather they pushed it on the PS4. Than not ever happening the option of playing it on this device. Great story great time!

    Thoroughly impressed by the story, it's originality stands out from the crowd. The voice acting from female V was outstanding. The game grew on me the more I played it, I've finished it and think it's definitely one of the best games I've ever played.

    The technical performance of this game on PS4 after version 1.23 has made a big improvement but there's still a bit more room for polish.

    Started playing CP2077 after patch 1.3 on PS5 (aug 2021), several hours in and I'm very excited, the game will be in my top ten of favorites. Despite all the negative and over the top news coverage I never lost hope the developers would fix most of the bugs. Don't forget the complexity of making such a massive game. Keep believing and supporting CDPR, it will be worth it!

Не очень приятно, но и не критично. Если баги и были то можно было над ними поржать, а также уже вышло 2 патча которые пофиксили кучу багов. Люди как будто первый раз увидели баги в играх...     I really think this game is a masterpiece, the thing is i learn very early on my life to not raise expectations for anything, when the game comes out at first i had some surprises not gonna lie, but after a few configurations on my ps4 pro, the game was ready! Oh baby, what a ride..

    Took several hours of gameplay until I started enjoying it. The first patch fixed a few bugs still getting some crashes now and then but gameplay and story make up for it.

Such an amazing atmosphere of Night City has kept me playing this game further in Act 1 and the beginning of Act 2. CDPR has done a great job with world building I respect that.     Malgré ma très mauvaise note dessus au début, après avoir réalisé la mise à jour 1.04 sur PS4 et avoir continuer le scénario, je doit dire que si on arrive à passer au dessus des bugs, on se rend compte que le jeux a un potentiels incroyable !

    Les dialogues et les PNJ sont vraiment bien foutu. Me reste je pense encore beaucoup de chose à découvrir !

    I can understand the frustration of the base PS4 players and indeed CDPR should have at least give a recommendation for PS4 Pro, i.e "for better experience best played on PS4 Pro or PS5" and that would be fair. Now, having said that, I play it on PS4 Pro and although it does seem to be slightly wonky at times there are a number of things that one can do to optimize their experience, look up graphics options. I have no doubt that in due course there will be a ton of hotfixes and tips and tricks like with their previous games and for this, I weight my credit to them, things can only improve from now on. What I would also like to point out is that a really good OLED screen makes it a totally different gig when you switch from a simple LCD TV set. I started playing on my usual telly in the bedroom and just couldn't get the best out of it, then switched to my OLED and the streets burst with colours and gave them a fresh look. Cannot wait for further updates and when a normally priced PS5 is at hand will make it another blast.

    Cannot omit the technical glitches but so far the rest is what I have expected, hence 9.

    If you are thinking about buying this game on standard PS4 I would probably recommend other platform (PC) or to wait, but certainly don't give up on CP2077 it has a huge potential when it runs good.

    I think that the hype destroyed this experience as people expected this to be great in everything. Instead it is not anything we have seen before. CDP Red are not experts in creating a great RPG or progression systems, flawless loot economy and on point equipment balance and my beloved Witcher 3 is a good example of that. However they are experts in creating climate and a feel and they did not let me down in this area with CP2077.

    The best thing for me is that CDP Red managed to create a great world, just like they did with the Witcher series. The word that will finally be free of bugs and glitches and that will bring us many, many great moments.

    Stop complaining about the game, you can still get the refund, it is not like you lost any money. Wait until this game is better optimized and buy it again.
    Scoring this game so low can cause CDP to be closed and you will never ever play good game from them.
    Cyberpunk is good, get the refund and wait a bit more.

    Night city is a masterpiece, a legend in history of gaming. I have a lot of love for this game, but I acknowledge its faults My main griefs are driving related. FPS driving cam is too low, minimap should zoom out when driving high speed, and mission marker should not cover the road.

    Playing on PS5 BC PS4 version and works great. Solid 60fps and graphics look next gen, can’t wait for the full PS5 upgrade.

    On the beginning, I would like to admit that I am playing on PS5 with the PS4 version of the game.

    I played only 10 hours, and I know already that it is one of the best games I ever played. The story is thrilling, city huge and magnetizing. I also love RPG mechanics.

    To give 10/10, I am waiting for PS5 upgrade.

    First hour of playing was boring and annoying, later on I started to enjoy this game some much !!! Played on ps5. I'll give 10 after using full power of ps5.

    The performance on base PS4 was what I expected. Graphics quality is within the normal range for PS4 games. Not the same quality as pre-release material, but nothing that would bother me. I didn't experience any significant FPS drops, delayed textures etc, although I must state that I played in 720p resolution, with film grain, depth of field and    Amazing and deeply immersive game!

    Runs and looks great on my PS4 pro. Not sure why so many are complaining. The city is not as alive as GTA and you can't do anything like stealing from houses in the elder scrolls. But story, characters, and gameplay is great so far.
    It's like a great open wprld deus ex game, but with deeper rpg elements.

    While the game does have some issues with frame rate and pop ins, its nothing that can't be fixed with an update or two. Great cast of characters, great music, and great graphics. Plenty to do and explore in Night city. Definitely worth a try, although you might wait until an update or two first

    I play at old PS4 and grafic is not good but total game is really good. With time will be much better. Finger crossed

    Great story, awesome characters, good game mechanics - both shooting and hacking feels rewarding. PS4 port that could be done a bit better, thats why 9 and not 10. Totaly worth every ED spent ;)

But is it still better than 90% of the games I've played on PS4 over the last several years? 100% yes. Keyboard warriors love to complain, everyone feels entitles that CDPR owed them more.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First 10 hours and only 2 ceashes on launch ps4. I have had same issues with RDR2 and some on Farcry5 that were worse. The story so far is great and the crafting and skills trees are massive but well worth the effort. Dropped it to 720p as old hardware qas struggling but no issues since. I can see my Christmas holidays being filled with Cyberpunk exploration. Well done CDPR… Expand

    Great game, the recent updates seems to have patched out most of the bugs but there will always be some dumb glitchy moments here and there

    I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
