    I'm reviewing the PS4 version of the game, which is heavily influencing my final score here.

    What a promising yet severely undercooked mess this game is. I preordered Cyberpunk 2077, and waited with such excitement to play. I loved the story premise: the underbelly of a world consumed by greed, guns, and technology. But what this game is really consumed with is its own technical flaws,    I'm reviewing the PS4 version of the game, which is heavily influencing my final score here.

    What a promising yet severely undercooked mess this game is. I preordered Cyberpunk 2077, and waited with such excitement to play. I loved the story premise: the underbelly of a world consumed by greed, guns, and technology. But what this game is really consumed with is its own technical flaws, and they are flat-out unavoidable. I had at least 15 hard crashes, invisible NPC's, texture pop-in, horrible draw-distance, clipping issues, frame drops, the list goes on. The game's story is well-made, and is the tired glue attempting to hold this train wreck together. Heck, it's so bad that SONY literally removed it from the PS Store for months.

    Even playing the game on PS5, it STILL fails to meet the expectations presented by CD Projekt Red themselves. Will it ever be able to overcome its faults? I doubt it. Another disappointment to add to the hall of shame alongside the likes of Star Wars: Battlefront EA and No Man's Sky.

    O jogo quis ir além do que seria possível. Assim, é possível dizer que a ideia é boa, mas a aplicação horrorosa. É inadmissível que um game que levou tantos anos para ser feito, apresente tantos "bugs", quedas gritantes de FPS e uma resolução medonha. Em certos momentos me senti fazendo um exame no oftalmologista, no momento em que o médico coloca um grau totalmente diferente do meu paraO jogo quis ir além do que seria possível. Assim, é possível dizer que a ideia é boa, mas a aplicação horrorosa. É inadmissível que um game que levou tantos anos para ser feito, apresente tantos "bugs", quedas gritantes de FPS e uma resolução medonha. Em certos momentos me senti fazendo um exame no oftalmologista, no momento em que o médico coloca um grau totalmente diferente do meu para enxergar. Nota zero.     Game is unplayable on PS4 Pro. Glitches and freezes every few minutes. Also the graphics is terrible. It looks like a PS3 game.

    I'm about 8 hours in and just can't continue anymore. The game is just not playable in the open-world sections while being barely playable in the scripted indoors parts. I've experienced multiple crashes that wiped my personal settings in the game back to default. There are tons of bugs, glitches and very low-resolution textures. All this while it can't hit 30 fps    [PS4 slim - patch 1.02]
    I'm about 8 hours in and just can't continue anymore. The game is just not playable in the open-world sections while being barely playable in the scripted indoors parts. I've experienced multiple crashes that wiped my personal settings in the game back to default. There are tons of bugs, glitches and very low-resolution textures. All this while it can't hit 30 fps regularly and sometimes even dropping under 20 fps. In my opinion, it's absolutely unacceptable to sell a 60 euros game in such a state. I'm convinced there's a great game under the hood and hopefully can be patched into a playable state, but currently, I have to give it a 0 as the game does everything in its power to stop me from playing it.    … Expand

From pop-in, falling through the world, constant crashes, slow loading textures that sometime take 20+ seconds to fully render in, N64 looking NPCs, vehicle physics gone wild, T-Posing NPCs, unplayable frame rates that almost constantly stay at 15, this gives Rockstar's "Grand Theft Auto IV" PC port and Bethesda's "Fallout 76" a run for their money.

    Congrats CD Projekt Red, you accomplished what only Hello Games' "No Man's Sky" managed to do. I hope you're happy with yourselves. As for Sony, delist Cyberpunk 2077 from the PS4 store and give out refunds accordingly, you got a lot of support tickets to handle.

    UPDATE (11/8/2021): Cyberpunk 2077 has been updated on last gen for an entire year to improve performance and stability. This is rather good and all, however it should have been this way since launch. But nope, you did your best to show only the PC version because you knew it would be a dumpster fire the moment it hits store shelves. You are going to stay in the red for me, CD Projekt Red.     A real deception of players for money, purchased a version for ps4 slim, play, 480p resolution, objects disappearing and appearing in front of our eyes, low resolution textures, no detail, it is impossible to shoot as the game works at 15fps, the game crashes with an error. I require a refund.

Sono veramente dispiaciuto dopo aver aspettato cosi tanto di ricevere una delusione del genere. Cd Project Red vergognosa dal punto di vista della comunizione ben conscia di avere un prodotto ingiocabile per la mani ha fatto in modo di nasconderlo fino al day one, siamo ai limiti della truffa. Artisticamente si vede che ha una direzione artistica magistrale ma questo non basta perchè dopo un paio d'ore di gioco su Ps4 viene voglia di lanciare il joypad contro lo schermo.     CP2077 for the ps4pro is, at this moment, a complete and utter scam. Also, the performance, graphics and FOV are so incredibly poor and broken they make me dizzy and give me a headache.
    Add. After the latest patch I upped the score from a 1 to a 3.

    For a game that's been in development for 8 years this is unacceptable. Playing this game on the Base PS4 is like playing The Witcher 3 on the PS3. Cyberpunk 2077 crashes frequently. I've already had the game crash 4 times in the first 5 hours. There are horrible glitches where an NPC is talking on the phone and when they walk away the phone is levitating in the air while the NPC isFor a game that's been in development for 8 years this is unacceptable.     Sony please remove CyberPunk 2077 from PlayStation Store on PS4 - this game requires way more powerful machine. It is impossible to play the game now - poor picture quality, low frame rate, view distance is terrible. Huge disappointment!

    Solid 15 FPS, non-rendering textures and empty streets...on a console that can run Tlou2 and RDR2. If the game was in this state It shouldn't have been released at all on old-gen systems. This Is one of the greatest scam in videogame history.

    Cheio de bugs, não renderiza as coisas quando corre muito ou anda de carro, bastante craches, o jogo trava do começo ao fim parece q ce ta assistindo um longa metragem de um filme 20fps as vezes, historia não gostei muito porem da pro gasto, é inportante salvar constantemente por bugs na historia ou etc.

Gta san andreas ON PS2 literally had a way better police system and AI. No meaningful relationships or interaction with gangs.     Crashes every 30 mins even after numerous updates. Graphics are poor, game is filled with bugs which hinder progress and destroy immersion. Combat is clunky and horrendous. NPC AI is laughable. Night city is a huge let down, corners have been cut everywhere. Overall, a major let down and fail of a game.

    For me, the game was pretty playable on a regular PS4. Yes, there were bugs, it made me sad a couple of times, but nevertheless, the game is pretty interesting. Quests are stunning, characters very lively. The game made me do thought experiments on aspects of technology advancement and what it means to be human. Strangely, I expected more of such stuff(with more hardcore or deeperFor me, the game was pretty playable on a regular PS4. Yes, there were bugs, it made me sad a couple of times, but nevertheless, the game is pretty interesting. Quests are stunning, characters very lively. The game made me do thought experiments on aspects of technology advancement and what it means to be human. Strangely, I expected more of such stuff(with more hardcore or deeper insights), but it's still fine for AAA game. Not the legend of its genre, but very nicely done.… Expand

    It's ok that old Gen can't keep up with a highend PC. But withholding review copies of base PS4 and xBox while telling gamers that they run "surprisingly well" is downright fraud. Even Watchdogs Legions manages to produce a populated city with lots of traffic/pedestrians and decent graphics. Michael does Life was right about this.

    Uma das piores experiências que tive em um console. Jogo totalmente incompleto, lotado de bugs, quedas de FPS, falta de renderização em todo o cenário, cidade vazia e crashando o PS4.
    Não vale o investimento, se possível peça reembolso ou não compre.
    Tivemos Res Dead Redemption nesta geração, falar que este console não rode algo minimamente aceito é balela.

    • Promised to be optimized for consoles and beggars - we laid out a picchu with system requirements. As a result, the game does not even run at average settings, the consoles give out 15-20 FPS, soap. As for the multitude of bugs that have spilled over into ridiculous views, I’m generally silent. There are advertisements for Times Square and buses in London, but not for optimization.

    uma vergonha, eu TINHA esse jogo no PC, antes de reembolsa-lo, mas tive o desprazer de poder jogar no PS4, plataforma onde o jogo está INJOGAVEL (framerate vergonhosa, graficos horríveis, cheio de bugs, crashes / tela azul da depressão, etc)... Como se não bastasse isso, o jogo em si, tem potencial, mas se vierem a corrigir esses problemas, não é nada demais (aparenta boa historia,uma vergonha, eu TINHA esse jogo no PC, antes de reembolsa-lo, mas tive o desprazer de poder jogar no PS4, plataforma onde o jogo está INJOGAVEL (framerate vergonhosa, graficos horríveis, cheio de bugs, crashes / tela azul da depressão, etc)...     In its current state it is unplayable piece of garbage. Everything is blurry, low FPS, AI are very dumb and they don't react to you. Quality of people models are so poor that it looks like it's 2005. I feel like its a PS3 game not PS4. I don't undersnand why CDPR even decided to release it on past gen consoles if it doesn't run properly. Dropped the game after 1 hour.

    That being said the game itself is amazing, the atmosphere and characters in cyberpunk 2077 are impressively well crafted, but it is impossible too appreciate anything in this game due to it's technical failure

Instead I want to look at it six months later to see if they've redeemed themselves. Unfortunately, they have not. Cyberpunk 2077 has gone from an unplayable mess to a barely-playable mess.

    The graphics are where it can be very noticeable. Sometimes buildings, cars and people look amazing and smooth, however most of the time I'm seeing pop-in and draw distance issues even when I'm trying not to notice them. Far too many times have I seen characters flail around like a ragdoll due to glitches. Far too many times I go to draw my gun but the graphics for it do not load, resulting in my character looking like a deadly street mime. There were even times where I would run into an area ready for a fight only for the enemies not to have loaded properly yet, meaning when they do I am stood right in the middle and die within seconds. These things happen far too often to overlook.

    The gameplay is still an incomplete mess. Buttons do not respond when I'm trying to answer my phone or get into vehicles. At one point I couldn't activate an elevator because an NPC engaged me in conversation en-route, but I was given no indication of this. The upgrade system and menu layouts in general are very messy and far from user-friendly. There are a nice range of guns but I found myself constantly running out of ammo as enemies absorbed my bullets like raindrops. The driving is maddeningly stiff and unresponsive. Lots of smaller game design choices are bewildering, such as forcing action to pause when I want to change channels on the radio. It's very easy to get trapped into dialogue where there is no 'goodbye' option, forcing me to walk away to end the conversation. These are all things that should really have been picked up well before six months into the launch.

    The story is Cyberpunk's best feature at present, and that's unfortunate because it's unlikely anyone will tolerate the game enough to get that far. I could only make it as far as Keanu Reeves' introduction before deciding to quite the game and leave it on my shelf until it's more playable. It's not the most coherent of stories in the opening hours, so I'm assuming it ties together better as you play through it.

    In summary, Cyberpunk 2077 had a disastrous launch and still remains on the backfoot six months later. Even on my PS4 Pro it was massively struggling. The fan sounded insane as it struggled to run the game. This is not due to poor technology - this is poor game design. The game plays more like a beta version or an early demo. I waited six months to give them a chance to patch the game but it looks like at least another six months will be needed before it can be an enjoyable experience. Avoid.    … Expand

    Supongo que por eso tienen más éxito este tipo de juegos en España, pero no aquí en Latinoamérica.
    Al menos a mí no me gustó, de hecho ni lo completé después de las 4 horas.

    I am unpleasantly given such a score, because I love this studio, but this should in no way be encouraged. The PS4 version is simply unplayable and terrible. I really hope that a separate version for PS5 will give me the full enjoyment of this game, but for now I can only put zero.

The targeting and combat is just as ugly as the graphics . I had such a hard time aiming ( curser keeps auto dropping ) I just had to run up at point blank and spray an ocean of bullets into some dark blurry d statues . That's when i turn it off...It's unplayable.

    I've never played a game so disorienting and ugly...It honestly makes your head hurt. This is the first time I've ever left a review and I'm sure you've already read similar post to mine. The worst thing about this is you cannot get a refund even though It's an unplayable game. The curser problem for me alone turns this mess into a lemon for me. I cannot count how many times I've purchased a turd in a dress but this one tops them all! I thought fallout 4 was a great disappointment with dated graphics. but after this dumpster fire that game is looking so much better.

Turned it off and deleted it after an hour of patience, the vaunted plot does not save you when your eyes are corroded by graphics, and gameplay is killed by bugs. A mobile video about a taxi is not hidden, you are not included in the list of mobile contacts and a call with tasks no longer occurs for you. I played at the maximum difficulty level, but out of fear of another glitch, I launched a new game at the easiest one to just beat the game. since at the maximum level of difficulty, you need to use the territory to the maximum, and this is a high probability of catching another glitch.… Expand

    I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
