    I bought the game with absolutely no expectations and was still disappointed, in menus the cursor has a mind of its own which makes settings and character creation a nightmare. I’ve played about 6 hours worth of gameplay and have had 8 crashes. The graphics are absolutely appalling, On bar with an 8 year old assassins creed game, The AI is completely non existent , NPC’s are completelyI bought the game with absolutely no expectations and was still disappointed, in menus the cursor has a mind of its own which makes settings and character creation a nightmare. Gunplay is so clunky it makes Fallout seem like a competitive FPS. Overall I have never felt so ripped off in my life, and I bought No Mans Sky at release.     I think it’s safe to say that this game is mediocre at best. The proper RPG elements are non-existent and instead it’s replaced by few RPG quirks (levels, passive stat boosts, some hacking features) and looter shooter mechanics, were enemies are bullet sponges and the only stat that matters is a DPS on the weapon. The gun mechanics are nothing special, the driving model is atrocious, theI think it’s safe to say that this game is mediocre at best. The proper RPG elements are non-existent and instead it’s replaced by few RPG quirks (levels, passive stat boosts, some hacking features) and looter shooter mechanics, were enemies are bullet sponges and the only stat that matters is a DPS on the weapon. The gun mechanics are nothing special, the driving model is atrocious, the story is ‘ok’, but I failed to immerse myself in it. Mostly because the main character is such a d**k with absolutely no motivation except to ‘be on top’. I mean, I started the game as a corpo guy, who gets disgraced and sacked, and instead of craving vengeance I just wanna ‘be on top’, what sort of genius writing is that? This is ‘new BioWare’ level of writing, it’s nowhere near the level they achieved in The Witcher 3 or even 2, for that matter.

    The technical issues are in a category of their own, this is the worst looking console game I ever saw and I refuse to believe this couldn’t look any better with proper optimization. Maybe in a world where RDR2, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted 4, RE2 remake, DMC5 did not exist this argument could fly, but sorry, there is really no excuse to deliver a sub-par product like that, knowing that other companies do a much better job. The developer used false marketing to peddle this game on current gen consoles, knowing fully well it was not ready to be released. I know that real clients of these companies are investors and players are left with a role of consuming the product, but this company painted itself as consumer friendly, so there is that. I don’t know if they can rebuilt the trust they have gained in last few years. Such a great way to destroy your reputation just to satisfy the investors and pump your stock price, yay.

    With mediocre gameplay this game deserved a solid 5 with one extra point for the cyberpunk atmosphere, which I am a big fan of, but the technical problems alone should cost 3 extra points. And it's not only graphics, this game has some massive problems in its code, game-breaking bugs, AI issues, scripting problems, it's amateurish levels of delivery. 3/10 to me, buy it at your own risk, and if you are a patient person wait for it to be 5 or 10 bucks, this is Anthem level of failure so the price should drop relatively quickly.    … Expand

    Terrible developer who tricked the community that they were "consumer-friendly" when it couldn't be further from the truth. Game barely functions and runs worse than multiple games which look better than it. Cash grab release on ps4

There are so many bugs here that it doesn't even make sense to describe them. The game is just disgusting, I think it would be fair to return the money to people. This whole project called Cyberpunk 2077 is a huge scam. They try to cheat even more people and keep giving the game 10 points. Where does the law look and why are fraudsters not punished?… Expand

    I'm on a base PS4. 1.04 improved things but the scripting that progresses most side stories is broken. It's no exaggeration to call this release worse than Fallout 76.

Lots of low-poly models and rough edges mixed with high poly, flat lighting mixed with crazy mix of zero-detail shadows and glowing foggy light sources, etc etc looks like a terrible visual mess overall, not to mention a    I feel like i've been cheated.

Unfortunately, the game is broken to its core i'm afraid.

    Then comes the game itself.
    I mean, the artists definitely poured their soul into it... but feels like CDPR just hired random people in the street to work on narrative, pacing and emotional involvement. Things are just dumped onto the player and you... just don't care because you have no idea who is this Guy A, what he wants to do to Guy B, why you need to get Girl C, whether you want to go for optional task X to grab item Y and do Z.

    I just.. couldn't care less because the narrative IS NOT built properly. The game does nothing to get me in and engaged and just does its thing. Feels very bland.    … Expand

    PS5 version hard crashes once about every 2-3 hours. Lots of low-res textures everywhere in game, looks like a PS3 game at times. NPCs clip through objects and magically spawn/teleport, very poor AI in general. UI is very clunky, small fonts. Male V voice actor is extremely bland. Gunplay is fairly poor and most of the skills are cookie cutter and not very inspired. This game neededPS5 version hard crashes once about every 2-3 hours.     I pre-ordered Cyberpunk 2077 and played it the moment it hit 12 am. I was excited to jump into this world, but instead I was left with the most infuriating experience I have ever had with a game. I found myself feeling sick by the first hour. I thought maybe the first person shooter was messing with my eyes. Turns out it was the extremely blurry graphics and horrific framerate.

    I hate comparing hate comparing games, but I can't help but compare the overall world and graphical capabilities GTA V has on the PS3 and XBOX 360. GTA V was the swan song of that platform generation. Cyberpunk should have been the swan song of this last generations consoles, but it's NOT! It's barely optimized for those systems. Graphically it should be much better. Stability wise it should be much better. The open world should be much better, The Framerate should be much better. Do I need to go on?

    What gets me is how stupid the overall world is. Cops popping in, instead of arriving. Zero reaction from npc from much of what you do. You can park your car in front of multiple and you get a no response. Barely any cars on the road. It's not a living and breathing world. It's lifeless, unless you're walking around. NPC feel stupid and robotic. Some of this game seems to be ass backwards. Imagine a gaming company tooting about how detailed the game is even the garbage is specific to the area a player is in. It isn't just generic garbage. Yet, NPC's have some of the worst AI I have seen in an open world game ever! Where is the logic in taking the time to detail garbage, but not taking to time in having good AI? The Witcher 3 AI is worlds better than this. How could they screw it up so badly?

    At this point, it's just stupid. It should be so much better on the PS4. I feel like the game utilizes 25% of what the console can do. If they can't fix it and make it be the game it could be, then they should give us a refund. If it can't be fixed it shouldn't have been released on the PS4. What a mess and what a waste of everyone's time and money.    … Expand

    AC Valhalla was more of an RPG than this ****

    I'm a fan of this studio since the first Witcher but after this game and Todd Howard level of lies and deceptions from trash, I'm done with them. Hell will freeze before I touch or preorder anything off this garbage studio ever again.

    Lazy, unspiring, bland, **** mediocre.

    I fondly remember a time when a game was expected to be in a playable state at launch. Those were the days...

    Okay, what do we take away from this fiasco, kids? Never preorder. Never get a game on launch day. Never go to the store without reading some reviews first.     Największa porażka w branży od czasów E.T? Gra na Ps5 wyglada jak na Ps3, gry ma Switchu wyglądają lepiej. Wiedziałem, że Cdp to nie Rockstar czy Noughty Dog, ale to to już jest jakiś cyrk. 8 lat? Tak to spierdolić? Polak potrafi! Zapierdalać gry na komórki, się nadajecie do pisania gier

    For now this game is unplayable piece of garbage, resolution on my PS4 sometimes 144p, frame rate is 15-20, bugs, glit ches. I don't recommend for anybody. Maybe few years fixing and we will have a good game I don't know. 1 scores for interesting idea and another one for Keanu Reeves somewhere in the game, but still I just didn't reach so far.

    Я думаю не стоит писать про полное несоответствие трейлерам, абсолютно мертвые и пустынные улицы и повторяющихся по 3 раза на квадратный метр NPC.

    Я нормально не могу пройти пролого, потому что НЕИГРАБЕЛЬНО

    У меня вопрос, господа разработчики: Зачем вы выпустили эту поделку на рынок? Зачем были громкие речи про прорыв на Current gen? Я верю в проработку ролевой составляющей, но техническое исполнение — это худшее, что я когда-либо видел за всё время существования PS4. И я никак не могу насладиться ролевой и геймплейной составляющей как минимум просто потому, что мой персонаж не слушается управления и игра вылетает слишком часто, а выглядит как поделка на раннюю PS3.

    Надеюсь и жду, что терабайты патчей исправят ситуацию и у меня всё таки получится поиграть в игру на PS4. А пока - вполне справедливая оценка в общий рейтинг.

    Патч 1.04 вышел,но позорная проблема с тормозящей стартовой заставкой и люфтящим управлением до сих пор не исправлена.

    Being a PS4 Slim owner, I am not extremely exigent and I do my share of expectation managing when it comes to recent AAA titles released on the platform. That said, with Cyberpunk 2077, it is the first time I chose NOT to play a game I've waited long for because my immersion is broken at literally every 5-10 seconds of gameplay. That said, with Cyberpunk 2077, it is the first time I chose NOT to play a game I've waited long for because my immersion is broken at literally every 5-10 seconds of gameplay. The framerate is, at all times, nowhere near the 30fps mark. I did not expect the game to run on a 100% stable 30fps, but I certainly did not expect framerates as low as 15fps and a CONSTANT 20-23fps on open areas and even frequent drops on indoors locations. Sadly, beyond this (or maybe because of this) there are also clear mechanical issues. Sprinting and using heaing items is absolutely irresponsive, sometimes I have to press the button 3-4 times until the game responds.

    I am extremely disapointed. We all know the base ps4s are dated hardware but we've seen many other extremely demanding games delive a much better experience on the platform. I've managed to play AC Valhalla, for an example, even with its share of problems, Horizon Zero Dawn, Control, The Last of Us 2, God Of War (even though some of these are not open world games)... the list goes on. Besides that, you have announced the game many years ago and launched this product for PC and CURRENT GEN consoles, when its clear next gen consoles (even Xbox Series S) are running it more properly (still, there are bugs, but at least the immersion is there with a good framerate).

    CDPR has launched an unfinished product. They ran out of time and it shows. SAMO story that we faced with the Final Fantasy Versus XIII/XV situation. I just hope on this case the developer actually gets to fix it. My feelings for all the employees who have worked/are working on this game and had to crunch under an impossible deadline (and certainly voiced it).

    I really wish CDPR fixes the base console state, as much as it pains me to think how much more crunch it will probably generate for their employees.

    Finally, the widespread fact that the project paid itself with pre-sales is proof that the game industry needs some radical changes. As console version consumers, we are utterly disrespected.

    I'm giving it a 1/10 'cause I realize how good of a game this is, but you lose 9 points as its an unfinished project.    … Expand

Sweet mother of mercy. Anything that isn't scripted almost always breaks. The AI in top down sprite based RPGs from the Super Nintendo era was more intuitive. The crashes start soon after you get into Night City proper.
    Its bad. Its really really bad.

    I fully recognize that this game was going to perform better on PC vs last gen consoles. But there is no excuse for what happened here when you have open world titles like Horizon, Spider-Man, and RDR2 that look and play very well on the PS4. There is a gulf of difference between a performance downgrade and this disaster. This developer (CDPR) and publisher (WB) have squatted and delivered the fecal icing on the 2020 cake. Not by lack of skill or effort from the talent at CDPR, but from upper management forcing this game through. You could blame the death threats that were being doled out every time this game got delayed, but part of that is the amount of times it was delayed. Dying Light 2 comes to mind. It was slated to release Q1 2020, but then just got pushed back indefinitely. Sure, people were upset, but not near as upset when there are three push-backs (April, Sept, Oct, Dec).

    Now, let's talk about playability: The very first time I booted up the game, it failed. I booted it up again, knowing the PS4 was underpowered for this game, and immediately turned down the settings in the main menu. I then couldn't even back out of the settings menu, and restarted the game. I was told the games settings file was corrupted, and have since seen a dozen or so crashes in a dozen or so play hours. Cars flying everywhere, characters getting stuck in walls, music, physics, and a slew of other bugs are rampant. I can have faith those will eventually get patched, and I'll be getting a PS5 later this year and was offered a free digital copy on that console, so not too terribly focused on that right now. I should be, but the state of the core gameplay fully overshadows it. There are some really cool parts of the game as well as details, but this game can't even touch the sandbox worlds of even GTA:SA or RDR1, as well as the RPG and details of the the Witcher 3. I have much respect for CDPR, but thinking upper management will probably turn this studio into the other top AAA studios; they'll eventually cut their losses and move on to their next game long before this game will be anywhere near where it should have been. I could go on and on. I can post a video of heavy glitches and bugs for every five minutes in-game! I could compare the lack luster game aspects to Saints Row 2 and a Mafia game and come out behind even those games, but I'll stop here. Sure, not many other games like this to play right now, so some people might as well buy it and enjoy it. But the new top brass at CDPR has ruined an opportunity to release a game of the decade, and will potentially ruin one of my favorite studios forever. Absolutely soul crushing for me...    … Expand

    From a base PS4 perspective.
    - The fps drops massively.
    - The cars feel bad to drive with.
    - The guns feel bad to shoot with.
    - The Dualshock interactions have delayed actions.
    - The tutorials and instructions are massive.
    - The menu is bad is mainly PC-mouse focused. Using the d-pad gives slow navigation. Besides you cannot use the d-pad in certain parts of the menu and the mouse curser is always visible, it will never disappear.
    - The camera is always in first-person which makes mediocre cinematography. Thankfully you can zoom out of the car.
    - The open world is difficult to navigate through because the mini map dominates the experience. I have to look at the mini map when making a turn which makes me do lots of 180 degree turns. The game does no guide me on the road (Arkham Knight or Tsushima) or guides with an advanced compass (God of War).
    - The characters are boring especially V, since I do not know the motivations that drives the character.
    - The loading screens takes forever!
    + I do like the RPG elements where different choices makes a big impact especially the past since it gives more choices.
    + The guns have lots of varieties.
    + Body parts are varieties as well.
    + Game playthroughs are varied.
    + Lots of vehicles.

    From a marketing perspective.
    - Cyberpunk 2077 should not have been a current gen game, only a next-gen game.    … Expand

    The game is fundamentally broken, it crashes every 30 minutes or so. CDPR released this game unfinished/unpolished. What should have took me an hour to complete is taking me 3 or 4 just because I have to reboot my PS4 Pro or keep getting stuck in a glitch. 1/10 is generous.

    Its unplayable on ps4, on the ps5 its ok-ish. The textures are poping in, NPCs making T poses, some NPC in side quests are glitching out, so I could not complete it. The story is ok. The score is so low because I waited 8 years, almost 1 y delay to polish the game and the end product is meh. U really get the feeling the game was over hyped.

You might wonder why am I giving this game a score of 1 having played barely an hour, easy, I CAN'T PLAY ANYMORE! The freaking game glitch during a tutorial mission and I can't move forward. I have to restart the whole thing from scratch.

    Cyberpunk 2077 whatever its technical failings is a terrible RPG. It's shallow. The RPG elements feel tacked on almost. It's as if they decided to make a cyberpunk version of Grand Theft Auto instead but forgot all the fun parts and the attention to detail present in that series.

    PCDR should be ashamed of this game and the underhand way they released it.

    I have it on PS5, and even there is a mess... lots o bugs, crashes in the middle of a mission, etc. I had lots of expectations on his game, because i love the background, but right now on ps5 ( i cant imagine on ps4) is not a good experience, wait for a new version or something.

    Nobody who ows a PS4 expected the same graphics as a PC ULTRA 4K. We were just expecting some quality game like RDR2.But this game doesn´t even meet the minimum quality standards. Its unplayabe.     Nobody who ows a PS4 expected the same graphics as a PC ULTRA 4K. We were just expecting some quality game like RDR2.But this game doesn´t even meet the minimum quality standards. Its unplayabe. It looks blurry and horrible. We have been scammed. Definetly not worth $60. Full of bugs and gliches. Some people cant even run the game. Constantly crashes over and over again.Can´t believe a company release a product in such poor state. No other company will get away with this.

    The worst part? They knew it and sold it anyway. The hide this refusing giving review codes to the press.    … Expand

    The game for old gen is shameful, have you sponsored the game for the older generations for years and this is the result? You fooled us, you knew it wouldn't run on the old gen. Beware of making fun of the players because one day it will backfire.

    announced for ps4/xb1 but after 8 years with many delays the graphic still like sh*t and bugs and glitches appear frequently, CD Projekt still have a lot to learn from Naughty Dogs and Ubisoft.

    Oh dear this game is a buggy buggy mess, we're talking Bethesda levels of bugs here. Frame rates in the low 14's which I think is the lowest I've experienced in the entire generation of PS4. Avoid at all costs.

    I think this is the first game I've ever returned in my life.

    Boring characters, poor mechanic design, and *such* a buggy mess... It's literally crashed on me at least once every time I've sat down to play it.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. More like Lie-berpunk, amirite? But There is a good game buried underneath the glitches, game breaking bugs, instability and visual problems. I expected some glitches in the open world, but weirdly most occur in the important story set pieces. Which really pull you out of the experience. *spoiler warning for something that was in a trailer 6 months ago * As Jackie dies, he holds up the Johnny Silverhand data shard to your face, except he doesn't, because it seems to be invisible. Dexter Deshawn betrays you, but you can't take him seriously as his arm keeps flapping around like hes doing a bizarre chicken dance. Flashback to Johnny Silverhand's last hurrah, but you can't focus on the story moment because Johnny's partners' jacket keeps glitching off and flying around the room like Doctor Stranges' cape! You wake up in a high speed car chase, the driver passes you a gun. Except he doesn't because it's invisible. So i feel like i should point my finger at the chasing cyborgs and go 'pew pew?' To change view in a car, i have to press the assigned button 10 times, pull over and wait 20 seconds Before anything happens. I've had to Reload saves when key button prompts don't work. Seen people fly around. Texture pop in on a massive scale, Such as the freaking skybox! Now this next part isn't a glitch, but it's infuriating... You can't change your appearance once you've started the game! WTF. A game where body-modifications are everything, and a huge focus is is on appearance and street cred, and you can't even get a haircut! You are stuck with the character appearance you chose at the start of this 40+ hour experience. Normally i wouldn't mind but in the context of the game world it makes zero sense!

    Don't buy the console version. IT'S NOT FINISHED.

Hacking options for combat don't become possible until you have enough money saved up to purchase an upgraded cyberdeck, which happens around mid-game. Money is pretty tight in this game, and you need to spend it wisely on different cybernetic upgrades to your character. I haven't tried melee combat yet, but it seems like that would require an even bigger investment to make that viable in combat.

    Overall, this game was just rushed out and the lack of polish shows up in every aspect of the game. The narrative might be the only exception here. If it weren't for the bugs,crashes, and developer deception, this would be an 8/10 game for me.    … Expand

    It`s unfinished "Cyberbug game", this is not what we expected to get! If you don't have 3090 don't buy the game.

    I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
