    Graphics were good, I was really into this at the beginning of the game, but the game is extremely difficult and I could not go on after 10 mins I started the game! Disappointed, and I do not play it anymore!

    Whoever wrote the ending of this game should never be allowed to work in the industry again. Do not play this game, it is a complete waste of time. I am so angry at the developers of this game because at first it was great, by the end you never want to touch it again.

    What I liked about this game was the story, totally different then any other game I played. Made me more engaged. I also liked the action, the use of powers and the way everything is destructable. What made the game different for me is that you just start the game, but have no idea who you are, why you are there, what you have to do, or how the things are connected.     The bad is that the map is really terrbile, i found myself lost more then a few times. And the respawning of enymies is also I am not a huge fan of, although in this game was not so disturbing.

    All in all , for me a very good game that also made me want to finish the game. And this is not something that happens to often.    … Expand

El mapa seguramente es lo peor del juego, más que ayudarte te desorienta; el rendimiento al menos en ps4 es malo, cada vez que abres las opciones del juego se laguea excesivamente y a veces no se nota fluido en el gameplay. Pero todo lo demás es positivo, la historia es extraña e interesante, y aunque al final no es granBastante bien Remedy, tiene sus cosas pero es un gran videojuego. La jugabilidad es peculiar, como en todos los juegos de Remedy, pero esta vez usan unas mecánicas que le sientan muy bien al videojuego, y hacen disfrutar al jugador. La música es sencilla y correcta. Gráficamente se ve muy bien pero me he encontrado algunas texturas que han tardado en cargar exageradamente. Si te centras solo en las misiones principales te dura 8 horas. En general me ha gustado.

When I played Control from very early I realized that something strange was happening in the old house ... as long as I kept playing everything was so strange and inexplicable ... it was literally like being in a different world (these are positive) until my feelings and the way I viewed this place began to change where at first something would seem strange to me everything started to look normal to me and I felt part of the old house the gameplay was perfect and I had a great time it's also scary for me in some places, because the unknown is in every corner of this game I would like to learn more about the old house and what eventually happens to Jesse's brother, the only bad thing is the fps ... in some battles I played with 20-15 fps that had little effect on the experience because it happened quite often in big battles… Expand

    One of the worst games a have ever played glad it was on PS Plus so I didn't have to buy it like I was going to do as it looked & sounded good. I have deleted it & will never redownload or play it again. I don't know why anyone would like this game.

The setting, while a little lack luster, comes together with unsettling sound design to create the perfect atmosphere that will keep you on edge the entire time.     Una historia interesante y muy rara, interactuar con muchos objetos, detalles como el extintor, acomodar el nivel con cosas como recarga rápida, vida infinita o tal.

    Contras:
    demasiados bugs con crasheo incluido, algún rasponazo si pausas, algunos ataques demasiado tramposos, muertes extrañas...

    Me sorprendió gratamente este juego. La historia te atrapa hasta el final. Es interesante. A lo Kojima, La jugabilidad es fluida y lo poco de la banda sonora se ve bastante fresca. Capaz que el juego falla en la mala optimización no corregida en ps4 que puede empeorar la experiencia de juego, como su final plano.

    Best action (labyrinth room) ever made or at least of the year. Non-usual mechanics enveloped to player in full strength. Feel the power of control.
    Strong and complicated story not for every one to assemble in one piece. Very atmospheric and full immersion guaranteed.

    Non uso facilmente la parola capolavoro ma questo lo è indubbiamente. Storyline, grafica e fast action-shooting gameplay sono indiscutibilmente quello che rendono questo gioco una perla da non perdere. Grazie Remedy studios per averci donato questa meraviglia.

    the weapons have very small magazine capacity. it feels terrible to wait around and not being able to shoot for extended periods of time. the game's story is baffling. the game doesn't make it obvious which direction to go.

    Comecei a jogar sem esperar nada e acabei me surpreendendo. O jogo é muito legal! adorei! fazia um tempinho que nao me sentia engajado a zerar um jogo, ate platinei! foi minha primeira platina. muito bom! nota 10 pra mim.

    Amazing game if you can give it time to build out its world. It is weird but in a great way I was often left thinking about the game well after I had finished playing. Combat is great too, would strongly recommend.

    Its production design and atmosphere are extremely immersive and the game managed to surprise me over and over again with its narratively justified weirdness.     Control simply looks great and it also features an excellent soundtrack.

    Remedy made another great game here and it leaves me hoping that Alan Wake will eventually make its way to the PS4.    … Expand

    This is such a strange game. Made by a Finnish studio I believe? It makes sense... I have watched some really weird Finnish movies and this has all the same weirdness. It took me hours of gameplay before things started to make sense to me. Don't let that distract you.... this is one of the most original and creative games I have ever played.     The game is however quite difficult, and I find I have to grind quite a bit to recover lost shards or whatever it is after dying, and to get better (but very minor) upgrades in the hope of progressing. It's also a huge maze with a lot of running around, and lots of respawns of challenging mobs, so progress is slow. I have put the game down many times, and don't know if I will finish it. I put in over 40 hours so far and want to believe I am about half-way through....?

    It's well worth picking up if it's on sale, but I don't know if I can recommend paying full price for it.    … Expand

    El juego es bueno, ofrece cosas diferentes pero la historia principal no me lleno, la senti muy confusa y con un final algo mediocre, mi experiencia la salvaron los DLC que me parecieron increíbles.

    I avoided this game for awhile because it just seemed very uninteresting, so I went in with low expectations. Within the first hour, the story and the lore really pulled me into the game. It really gives off that 90’s X-Files vibe. However as the story goes on, it gets a bit convoluted and pretentious. Regardless, it was a pretty immersive story for the most part, despite having severalI avoided this game for awhile because it just seemed very uninteresting, so I went in with low expectations. Within the first hour, the story and the lore really pulled me into the game. It really gives off that 90’s X-Files vibe. However as the story goes on, it gets a bit convoluted and pretentious. Regardless, it was a pretty immersive story for the most part, despite having several peaks and valleys. I have to compliment the acting in this game, especially by some of the later characters. The gameplay feels like a very well executed third person shooter that belonged on the Xbox 360. I don’t mean that in any good or bad way, but after reading the developer’s history, I can totally see how the developers also made Alan Wake and Max Payne. So the gameplay feels like something we don’t see much of anymore, and this genre really ran its course a couple generations ago, it’s still fun. The only real complaint I have is that this game would have benefitted from a more linear mission-based design instead of the open world design. Since the entire game takes place indoors, I found myself getting lost pretty regularly. The graphics are also very impressive for a PS4 game, and look fantastic on the PS5. Overall it’s a dated formula that is executed with a unique story that isn’t like many other games. The best way to describe the experience: I enjoyed it, but I will forget about it quickly.… Expand

    I was so exited playing control on PS5 wiht ray tracing etc but noo, I have to choose ''different version'' of game months ago, but there is no warning.

    No, I won't play you **** ass performance and graphic version of your boring game. Here is at least I can give a **** ZERO in your face.

    me gustaron muchisimo las mecanicas del juego, como el combate planear y lanzar cosas. lo que no me parecio muy bueno es la historia. la verdad que no la entendi nada. pero bueno el juego es divertido y eso es lo importante. le daría un 10 si hubiese entendido la historia. Pero les recomiendo mucho jugarlo

    The world of AWEs and the whole House is a really unique and interesting setting, and it really captures you. The combat feels great, and the game has one of the best missions I ever played, no spoiler: the maze. It was awesome, without cinematic films or things that are usually makes me love a specific part of a game. It was pure badass action. The ending felt like a true Alan Wake universe ending and the DLCs are worth it.    … Expand

    One of the most fun & chaotic games I’ve ever played. Story was a little confusing and weird (not always in a bad way) but I still enjoyed it and the two DLCs. Had frame rate problems at first that are fixed now. Awesome game

And i love the most of the games when i'm feeling i'm free. This game doesnt give you the feeling of freedom. You're playing almost entire game in a god damn building. Oo i'm flying but you know i have a god damn ceiling of my head. Let me give you a good review. First of all games graphics arts good. I loved it. But everywhere is concrete so you're feeling playing the game like its in grayscale mode. When i first started the playing this game i had a feeling this game is little bit scary the atmosphere is amazing like lord of the rings. You were embraced with darkness and the feeling of how the hell i am gonna alive this place? Then the things happened. You kill red head robot like creatures. One two tree bam bam bam then it hits you. Dude why can't i get any response. Looks like i'm killing punching bags. One two tree down. So in the beginning you think damn i'm in a claustrophobic place and this god damn monsters ain't help the mood. You see people hanging in the air and you were waiting the game needs badass foes but you are getting only the silent sh*theads. Then you are not going to understand where are you and what are you doing. You're going to speak some people and baaaaaaamm you realised your characters dialogues are like sh*ts. Ton of sh*ts. She is always sob* what i'm gonna dooo, plis help meeee sob* sob* Dude no sister. YOU ARE THE F*CKING HEAD OF THIS PLACE! WHAT KIND OF CHARACTER YOU HAVE YOU SAID I'M GONNA BE THE LEADER OF THIS BUREU. WORLDS GOING TO BECOME HISS KINGDOM. DROP THAT SH*TTY ATTITUDE.

    So i played this game to the end. There where some amazing things like superpowers. You can play whit foes with good reflexes. I said look at me ma i'm crazy as sh*t. Bam bam bam *silent noodle like foes dies* Why the f*ck i can't torture them. This enemies never going to end. You play almost entire game doing someones footwork and repetitive mission. Go there and find someone. Dude are you f*cking kidding me what kind of map is this. You have spawn point. But that building has stories. Where is the god damn spawn point. And when i die or quit the game i begin at the nearest spawn point. Don't start with the building plan. Because that buildings architecture maybe one of hiss agent i suspect. You are playing amazing game but story is sh*t, environment is sh*t. OP is crying sh*t. One thing isn't **** wepons and superpowers aaaaaaaaand one hallway in front of bathrooms. That place is looking green plants i loved it. I LOVED A F*CKING BATHROOM HALLWAY BECAUSE EVERYWHERE IS GRAY. *calms down*

    So your character is tells you, you are my only and a only family polaris. Help me. And then she's causing to polaris being killed by the hiss. God! *histerical laughs* How the hell this sheila get the job being the director i couldn't understand. So Polaris dies game ends, but not end. Story is sh*t i didn't get whats happening. I swear and swear because i needed to wait 15 min cast screen. Dude i f*cking hate this i've bought this game why the hell i cant skip this sh*t. Every time i open game i have to wait some f*cking logos thats angering me but why the hell i need to wait cast crew names? Get over it.

    So game needs to be more freedom like and color management is boring you need to give some color change. Story is like sh*t and the dialogues. I hate almost every time when Jesse speaks. She is waiting too long every between sentences and this game needs boss enemies. I though i'm gonna kill my brother but i'm went to give that douche a head massage wtf? And this is the most i'm curious about. 52 GB game, and the map is not that big. WHY? Every enemies looks alike. Flying to mold ones. I only see red, head, arms, legs. Boring. When i kill enemy at least i can tore apart them. I'm hitting them with forklift but they are like they made of adamantium and puff they are smoke. Let me see blood, broken pieces. They took my brothers and sister and made them fly in the air. And the f*cking doors. If i can't throw some huge sh*t with my finger i'm sure i can open them.

    Umm i'm thinking do i forget something. Yes. I didn't get the feeling of hero who saves people. I must have killed thousand enemies and hundreds of people but didn't get. So you need to threw some people which is medic helping some someone or yelling hail the queen. And please do not use wuss characters. When i play game i can use variables techniques and make them great but. Oo sob* what i'm gonna do now i need to save my brother like characters killing the mood. Use freedom elements such as bouce from wall, run on the wall, when character uses levitate and dash she needs to continue, etc. And i can't heal by myself. WHY? Last of all running. This girl got some god power and she can't use that to run fast? She can use levitate some extend make herself light and dash in theory. Facepalm*

Story was all over the place, could have been told better, was confusing just for the sake of being confusing. The map was terrible (but I think that was done on purpose, idk). Facial expression were a little too much. The close-ups on Jesse's forehead reminded me ofDidn't really enjoy this.     This is a great game.At first I did not expect much.But as time growed I started to like because of the graphics and mystery.Now if you are wondering why I gave 7 it's because there were many questions unanswered in the end.If the make control 2 and answer all the questions then I'll change my rating.

    To the game's writers I have one thing to say: non-stop cryptic references to plot points yet to occur combined with phraseology comprised of random words mashed together doesn't make you profound, it makes you a poor writer.

    The basic mechanics and fighting style are fairly well done, but they don't hide the ridiculously bad writing.     The basic mechanics and fighting style are fairly well done, but they don't hide the ridiculously bad writing. Instead of pulling you into a story, it leaves you constantly scratching your head at why any of it matters. And you really won't care in the end after being assaulted by constant gibberish.

    Also, players must pick up endless text notes of which 1 in 25 serves any real purpose. After being bored to death and stopping reading these moronic notes, players are left scrambling to find the important gems tossed in with garbage. Any game relying on text to fill in massive plot holes... sorry... you had one job and you failed.

    Control had some very cool things going on. I suggest to anyone, to find a video on 'navigating the ash tray maze', so you can see the best part of the game. Super frustrating when boss battling and dying, respawning at a 'control point' an annoying distance away. Difficult game to navigate. Shocked I actually beat the story and ten side missions.     Juegazo!!!! Me lo compré en la pandemia y me encantó. Recomiendo los 2 DLC aunque el que tiene que ver con Alan Wake no me gustó tanto. En fin, el juego principal tiene mecánicas geniales y la capacidad de destruir escenarios es el sello de la casa. Le doy un 9.5.

    Behind every corner of the oldest house, a stunning building, never seen similar in any game btw, waits a new breathtaking surprise. You keep unlocking new skills which keep you going, as well as discovering new areas. Story is not easy to follow, making it either mysterious or annoying, depending on how you like it.
    Best enjoyed with knowing as little as possible about it beforehand.

    The story concept is interesting, not gonna lie, but its.. empty, theres no memorable/interesting characters, the story pace is terrible and looks like devs spent 50% of time development writing texts cause oh boy, youre going to become an expert reader in Control due to the stupid amount of docs and reports to read, looks like they didnt wanted to show to us some things, got lazy, and just wrote it down in a piece of paper. I like games that presents docs containing more story info to the players, but this game is like WAY too much.

    Game is way too easy, enemies variety is a joke, as well as the environment; you look right u see offices, you look left you see more offices, you look down, guess what, offices! The maps absolutely sucks, u get stuck 80% of the time, and its not me, i love for example the SoulsBorne series, it doesnt even have a map, but once u put some hours into these games u memorize the map, because ITS DIFFERENT, theres DIFFERENT areas, theres VARIATY... things that Control sucks way too much.

    I rated as 5/10, because theres great graphics to pleasure you, and the combat is kinda great (it also becomes boring with time because weapons start to become useless and u only levitate things as defence), also theres the destruction factor which i truly loved, the scenario is great for destroy objects, glass, walls and etc..
    But its what i said, its boring, its meh, its that kind of game that youre going to forget past 2/3 months u played, even the story concept being interesting, it falls short with repetitiveness in almost every way possible.    … Expand

    Almost perfect game. Power fantasy superhero combat in a horror setting with a banger of a soundtrack and one of the best levels ever made. The only thing that lets it down is the random fetch/kill side quests you get given every 10 minutes. Ignore them totally and you'll be fine.

    Control is a decent game with good amount of frame rate issues and a confusing story with barely any compelling characters aside from the main character i guess. The gameplay is pretty fun if you look past the bad frame rate and the open world in this game is pretty unique. The powers are fun and enjoyable but nothing jaw dropping or anything. Overall this is an above average game.

    Amazing world building, characters, story and music. The combat is the biggest let-down, ironically, thanks to the game's sloppy controls. Thankfully you can easily adjust difficulty so you can effectively "skip" broken boss fights and get on with enjoying the show. Definitely worth checking out though.

    Amazing concept for a game. Remedy manages to create atmosphere, wonder and action in a very fluid package. A game that happens in confined environment, but manages to broaden out way beyond it's surroundings. Gameplay, controls, graphics are flawless. I also enjoyed the characters, but felt they could have been fleshed out a little more.

    I’m sorry this game took my breathe away. The theme is something I didn’t know I was craving for. Although the story isn’t the strongest, the gameplay and theme makes me feel like no other game has. I will never ever forget my encounter with the Former. Scariest yet most intriguing moment in my gaming history.

    Overall it was enjoyable game. Ahti was real old type finnish person and great voice acting from good finnish actor. Combat would be something different and gave little bit repeating feelings. Story was good and have that remedy style dark theme.

    So firstly I want to talk about the positives.
    Control's gameplay was very good as it gives you a variety of ways to defeat enemies and all of the abilities are well balanced... well except for the rock throws that are in the game. I know I said I would talk about the positives first but most of the game has a great template but when you get deeper into it, you see how flawed some things are. So about the rock throw ability, when I first got the ability I noticed that it was a little bit too strong and thought that throughout the game it's strength would even out, but yeah that wasn't the case. I maxed out the throw ability as early as possible and it made the game feel like I am playing it on the easiest difficulty while the weapons were only useful when I ran out of energy (stopped being a problem when I maxed that out too).
    I fully understand that anyone can choose to just not use the throw and focus on the other aspects, but in my case the other abilities and weapons seem good at first, only for me to realize that none of the other game styles proved to be fun, seeing as how the enemies became repetitive very fast, I needed the fighting to be at least a little fun but without the throw it all felt like a long chore.

    Now moving on to the story. The lore and backstory of the game is honestly amazing, and so was the setting that they went with. The game was completely immersive in both storytelling and gameplay, I genuinely loved how the game was setup in terms of the world. My favorite part was probably the maze nearing the end but I will refrain from spoiling it as the mission is really great.

    Now the story itself falls completely short at the end. The game builds up so much suspense and as you're coming to the final missions it leaves in you a state of "oh I can't imagine how this will end", you know it being a story about supernatural beings all that. But no, the story just falls completely flat in my opinion and it really seems as if it is a college essay that you would write at 3am the day before the deadline and don't have enough time to finish it. All the ending really does is give you new clothes and lets you free roam some boring side missions. I have a big problem with endings in games and movies, if the ending isn't better than the whole story then I dislike it, I know many people won't relate but this ending really ruined the experience for me.

    About the other smaller talking points, the voice acting was mediocre for the most part, I really didn't feel any emotion coming from 80% of the characters (no disrespect to the talented voice actors who worked on the game, it just wasn't their best work). The music was amazing, it always set the mood well, the graphics were extremely good so I do not have any criticism there.

    All in all the game is worth playing but more so as a side game that you would finish while you wait for some big release to come out. The most outstanding part of the game was the IP while everything else starts well but just jumps off a cliff midway through.    … Expand

Not only is the X-Files/SCP object vibe a really fun one that's well executed, but the banality of the office setting and how it manages to subvert and play with it really make this game stand out. plus the gunplay is super solid and telekinesis is so much fun!

    I eecomend having the fireman close when you play this game because your ps4 (pc, ps5, xbox etc.) Will START BURNING, the FULLY INTERACTIVE enviorements will burn you ps4, mine overheated (i think) and the game was lagging a lot, so be prepared to burn you ps4

    One of the best games I have ever played, in my 18 years of gaming. The graphics are superb, the gameplay is riveting, and the sheer variety of abilities, strategies and weaponry available to you, is unique, another amazing entry by Remedy games

    An overall solid package, a tiny bit repetitive due to small enemy variety. Story was intriguing, music and sound were great, solid gunplay/powers and game looks great.

    The writing, direction, and performances are consistently brilliant. This is Remedy at the peak of its game. Control feels like a company rediscovering itself, waking from a long slumber. Remedy’s legs work as intended once more, the vestiges of sleep paralysis a distant memory.

    I don’t want to use the word masterpiece lightly, but what else do you call the combination of gleefully chaotic gameplay with earnest storytelling in a setting as refreshingly unique as Bioshock? What else do you call a combat system that goes so far beyond the simple act of shooting a gun without drilling down into a set of intricate menus and complicated controls? What else do you call darkly malevolent horror that doesn’t feel like it was cribbed from someplace else? What else do you call the crowning achievement of a studio with a unique voice, an uneven track record, and 25 years of experience? If there’s a better word to describe what Remedy has achieved with Control, I can’t think of it.
