    One of the worse experiences of all time. Online services are awful. Huge latency, a lot of cheaters. Campaign is just a joke.

    Growing up in the era of the Cold War, I was raised on the notion of not being able to trust the Russians. However, the fact that this is 2019 and not the 1980's the absurdity of IW creating the fictional place of Urzikstan as well as Al Qatala and yet, still choosing to push the anti-Russia agenda, is just another misstep in the world of idiotic game developers.

    Coupled with the fact of game modes like Co-Op and Black Ops being a colossal failure and waste of time, along with Ground War being the poor-man's wannabe version of Battlefield, it's apparent that Modern Warfare has absolutely no idea what it's doing with itself.

    The multiplayer is one of the worst experiences I've had to date. The maps are extremely poorly designed to the point to where camping is not only encouraged, but almost downright mandatory. One of the biggest draws of this game for me was the promise of a co-op mode (something that I played the hell out of, dating back to the previous MW titles). But, this Busch league idea of cooperative modes just further drives the nail in the coffin that COD has completely lost its way and needs to either die, or be put into the hands of developers and producers that truly love the military FPS genre and want to create the best of the best within that realm. And that is NOT Infinity Ward.

    The only reason this game receives a 2 instead of a 0 is for some memorable missions based off of real world operations... And it was nice seeing Captain Price again.    … Expand

    The fact that their pathetic coders can’t crack the algorithm of “6=6” is enough to not make me want to play this game. you’ll have multiple games in a row of being up or down a guy (or 2). imagine if NHL just randomly put you on the penalty kill for a whole game. you’d trash the game within a week

    I give it 1 point for graphics 1 point for weapon realism ! The rest? LOOOOOL this c*** has the worst multiplayer in cod history ! It had enourmous potential, but no they are encouraging camping ! Worst maps in every cod game ever !

    Not even played the game yet but now on my third day of trying to play it.

    4 hour install on Monday after work, left the ps5 on rest mode to install. Tuesday after work just getting settled to play it and it’s saying the campaign is not installed? What on earth took 4 hours to install then? And why wasn’t it the campaign! So then there was about 7 boxes all saying install next to them,    Not even played the game yet but now on my third day of trying to play it.

    Tonight I tried to play again, but it says “installation suspended” under the campaign menu, so I’m tearing my hair out and I google it and google is telling me I need to download other packs for the campaign to work. About 4 boxes down there is one that says “campaign and special ops optimisation pack” or something along those lines, so I have started that download, 2 hours.

    Let’s hope that works ay, what an absolute joke, just want to play the game.    … Expand

I gave it one point just because my friend second name is Barkov, so I can troll him with it. Nevertheless, don't bother playing this game, COD BO4 had better campain if u know what I mean.… Expand

    I enjoyed certain missions and a more stealthy approach to gameplay, especially "clean house" stage. Story is complete rubbish. It is a hypocrisy on the largest scale to make such a deranged narrative. I've never witnessed someone tell a complete fantasy like that with such conviction. Activision should be held accountable for such a delusional fairytale of a SP campaign.

    Modern Warfare at its core is a great game, but the parasite in the form of WARZONE makes it unplayable. When warzone gets major update, all MW files gets deleted which is insane. Two times I've had my settings deleted. I don't want to play Warzone, I want to play the game that I payed for which is Modern Warfare. It's all like beta, many bugs, slow menus, and it's always, ALWAYS updatingModern Warfare at its core is a great game, but the parasite in the form of WARZONE makes it unplayable.     Весёлый мультиплеер, но убогие огромные карты. Тупая система с обновлениями - сначала скачиваешь патч, а потом тебя не пускает в онлайн, потому что ты не скачал отельный пак с картами. Играть можно, но готовьтесь бомбить.

    I'm giving this game a 4/10 and that's me being extremely generous. Blame Truth on Youtube has basically covered it all about this game. This is the worst call of duty game of all time for the hardcore COD fans. The game has been targeted and made for new players by the adding of extremely badly designed maps (but good for new players).     1) The amazing campaign, which is the 5th best in my opinion (after the original Modern warfare trilogy and the COD Black Ops (2010) )
    2) The graphics are amazing. We've been lied to that it's a new engine though. It's the same old engine, heavily modified. Credit to Blame truth on youtube for covering this in a video.
    3) Gun sounds are pretty good.
    4) The animation director did a great job. Hats off to Mark Grigsby on another great job on what he does best.
    5) Joel Emslie did a great job with the art direction of the game.    … Expand

    when I sprint in this game it just feels like I'm riding a horse
    spawns are terrible
    bad servers
    poor enemy visibility
    poor map design
    kill time is way too quick and you never going to have a chance to react
    and whenever you die if you watch the kill the cam it's just someone aiming down sights and waiting for you
    and airstrikes are going to make your ears deaf

It'd be... somewhat understandable if game developers used "good old" russian terrorists, as usual, but there's clear message that those are regular army.     No spilt screen spec ops.? What is even the point of "local co-op". Multiplayer was bland until it was over taken by another Battle Royale then worse. Campaign was good.

    The online multiplayer isn't call of duty, it is more like a cs:go, the game is full of tryhards and the maps are the worst part, there are a lot of spawn problems, some maps are almost unplayable, lots of campers, the history make the US a hero obviously, like always, it is more of the same, unfortunately...

    Claymores don't do any damage, The 'easiest' bots setting is too hard and all the maps are built for camping and spawn killing, Headshots aren't one shot and everyone has wall Hacks and aimbot.

I’m not even my own patriot strange (Russia), but the plot part hit me, it's overkill. well, damn tolerance was not complete, the farah woman is a super hero, in a dialogue between an American general and a military woman, a black woman meets and sends a white man, bravo. and most importantly, I’m talking about the highway of death, why Russia was dragged into this if the Americans launched air strikes.

    I play pc in rdr2 every day. And it gives me 80 fps on ultra settings. This is your warzone 30-50fps regardless of the graphics settings. But it was 100 fps in the beta games.
    I don’t advise anyone else to play this non-optimized bull****

The weapons are feeling very good and there are lots of attachments. Sadly everyone is playing the same meta loadout most of the time. And there is a general lack of polishing everywhere. Also the community of this game is still VERY bad and there are lots of cheaters as well.

    Summary:
    This could be a good or even a great game if Activision would actually give a sh!t. I was at a 6/10 but I am subtracting two points because the Coop isn´t working and because of the fact that this game is still feeling like an unfinished Beta after two years worth of updates.     It is fine when in the storyline there ar good side and the bad side. But showing USA war crimes and rewriting them as the Russian's did it... This time Activision crossed the line but btw multiplayer is well made and enjoyable to play.

    As a long time CoD player I can safely say this game is a solid 2 steps backwards when it comes to the multiplayer. The spawns are just terrible. You will be locked down to 1 area on the map while 80% of the map is completely free and open. You will find yourself more often than not dying at spawn before your character is even able to pull their weapon out to shoot back. Which considering how empty the rest of the map is, is just ridiculous.

    Next problem is the size of the maps. They are far too small. Bringing back maps such as shipment and having maps like shoothouse really make me wonder if they have tested the game themselves before including it. It takes the horrible spawns that the game already has on larger maps and cranks it up to 11.

    Ground War: This mode is much like the Battlefield series Conquest mode with large maps and a domination style gameplay. But, this mode suffers terribly from lack of map variety to extremely poor servers than can not handle such "large" battles.

    Gun mounting. Camping is already a big enough problem in this game but including gun mounting has only made it all that much worse as it encourages players to mount up and sit in 1 spot while having more of themself in cover.

    The Battle Pass. This has to be the most ridiculous cash grab I have seen in a hot minute. It is a complete waste of your money and the CONSTANT push for players to use the store to buy overpriced and pointless items is just annoying and should not be included.

    There are far too many game modes too. Not counting the Coop mode which feels completely forgotten already which I know will just cause problems down the line. Having Normal and Hardcore spit is normal and makes sense and modes like 10v10. But all these other little modes are just unnecessary and split the playerbase.

    The reason I give this a 3 though instead of a 1 which i believe it deserves is the loadout system. There is a lot of variety there and bringing in systems from previous games as a perk here such as Point Streak instead of Killstreak. The graphics are excellent, controls well on both PC and console and the crossplay inclusion is a very nice one. Campaign was the best I have seen in a CoD game in years.

    But the game has too many frustrating problems that makes the overall experience not a fun one at all. I would not recommend this game at all but instead a previous title in the series Black Ops 2. It had larger maps, fixed spawns and fun gun play. A real boots on the ground experience.

    Don't buy this. It a big step back in the series in regards to it's multiplayer and I can not in any way recommend this. It is a poorly made cash grab that pushes microtransations on you constantly after already paying $90 for the base game.    … Expand

The netcode is absolutely terrible and the Skill Based Matchmaking system makes this an unenjoyable experience from the get go.    This is the worst COD title I've played in a very long time and that's coming from a guy who played Infinite Warfare and Advanced Warfare.

You will be punished in multiplayer as long as you play well (by getting better opponents) that at some point you no longer have a chance to complete your tasks, you should think that would work the other way too, but ass lick nothing! 2. Which incest contaminated piece of **** thought it would be a good idea to put a ****ty Riot shield in the game? Directly fire my opinion. 3. the in game shop is a single catastrophe, there are only bundles to buy where you don't want to get 90%, and you have to be lucky that the bundles you might want to have at all on this day or at all again in the shop are the offer of dirt where you can waste your money changes every **** day.     beautiful characters, a bad script, tremendous graphics, beautiful in the atmosphere. but this is not modern warfare. modern warfare has always been at the forefront of the story. this game has no story. so I'll break 3 points. but still play this game.

    The matchmaking sucks. The game forces you to join games that are halfway done. This game is for campers cause they get rewarded for having no skill. The gun damage in this game is so unbalanced. Also this game allows shotguns to hit cross map shots. Worst cod i ever played. I want all my money back

    I played MW/MW2/MW3 back then and those were one of THE BEST GAMES OF MY TEENAGE YEARS. But this is **** You are literally running around with noisy clown shoes and screaming at the enemy, whenever you encounter one. Who thought this was a good idea?

    I’ve ran into 4 separate performance issues, none of which have been resolved. When you pay $120 for a game and are not able to sign into your account, contact support, or submit a support ticket, it is aggravating. There’s plenty of games out there that allow you to avoid this one. Do that.

    Multiplayer: Mind numbingly slow. I am a level 65 with a 1.98 KDR. You know why? Because I camp. All I have do is, pick a room, use my unlimited claymores and camp. Works everytime and I rack up killstreaks with ease, killing people probably way more skilled than me mechanics wise. Many matches end because of the time limit.

    This company is fraudulent, they put so much attention to detail only to give us propaganda and a sluggish game that even the first boots on the ground CODs couldnt rival in camping.

    Extremly disappointing installment. I feel the multiplayer in this game is the worst in the series, it is ruined by terrible maps and poor design ideas. Infinity ward have managed to suck all the fun out by promoting slow campy gameplay. The single player campaign is good but a poor ending left me feeling underwhelmed.

    Multiplayer guns shoot very unsteady even with all the attachments on. Sound is horrible. They're war zone game type not fun. The whole point of Battle Royaleis is to scavenge and find the best attachments, weapons and equipment, This game eliminates all that. Black Ops 4 had a way better Battle Royale system

    Campaign, sound design, and graphics are the only true saving graces of this game. Poor map design, camping meta, and horrific gun balancing, and skill based matchmaking All combine for an excruciatingly painful to play multiplayer, every game is a sweat fest of camping, to which the devs refuse to fix or even address. The fact they add in more micro transactions than updates to the game should shot something. The horrible spec ops mode is so unenjoyable that I’d rather go back and play MW2 spec ops any day, every mission drags on longer than it should and feels damn near impossible and when you do beat it, it isn’t rewarding. Now onto the war zone, granted it’s not bad, plunder is a pretty fun take on it all and they have a decent system going for it however, hacking and skill based matchmaking is even in it. Making a already tense and sweaty battle Royale even more of a sweaty mess. Hacking is too abundant and has yet to really be fixed at all. All in all I’m giving this game a rating of 3 due to 3 fourths of the game still needing an abundance of work and due to infinity wards constant flow of micro transactions rather than them fixing and adding in much needed and long overdue updates. Infinity ward hopefully changes things around for the MW2 multiplayers remaster that they “aren’t making” even though we all know it’s already done and on the shelf. Hopefully they stop the overuse of micro transactions and go back to the simple dlc. And just the fact that I have to wait for up to 30 minutes in a server que, even though the game has been “done” since October and it’s currently April is just saddening.… Expand

They allowed warzone players to try out the multiplayer mode for free last weekend. i tried it out, but I felt like I needed to check out the other maps and game modes to get a better idea of what the game was like. Needless to say, after trying out multiplayer, I will not be buying the game.

Why do subdivisions not follow orders? why are the main characters suddenly included in the list of terrorists? why does a CIA officer join terrorists and disobey direct orders of american command? etc etc. When the plot is so twisted, it's clear mark that the whole story is construction that has nothing to do with reality and eventually **** Conclusion: my story of loyal COD customer has ended.     Loving the game sl much until a week ago ( April 6th) , the game has been fulfilled with cheaters either in multiplayer and WarZone which are ruinning the game experience. Neither Activision nor Infinity Ward are taking measures to solve this.

    At first the game was good, until hackers came and took the whole game and just started cheating so wackkkk, they need to add some sort of checking for hackers cuz the game sucks now, constant lagging, it’s no fun. Back to battlefield I guess. If you want to hack just go to ps3 and play cod waw or modern wafare three.

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
