I've played CoD since Modern Warfare (2007) and this is the first time I actually don't want to play the game at all. Do not buy unless they update HEAVILY.     I am not playing this piece of trash even for free...Lol took a look at it using the free MP week, and it looks and plays like CoD mobile if you compare it against MW 2019...

    I downloaded it, played a match and deleted it right away lol...Back to MW... The sound of the weapons is awful, graphics looks really outdated when you compare them with MW. The voice of the narrator that says    I am not playing this piece of trash even for free...Lol took a look at it using the free MP week, and it looks and plays like CoD mobile if you compare it against MW 2019...

    I liked the campaign a lot the multiplayer is decent when it actually works and zombies is meh. Only reason it is a 8 is because of how much fun the campaign was for me.

    This is by far the worst game I've purchased in years, as it is laggy, has many bugs, has mic problems, and it's graphical quality is extremely low. I would avoid this game and buy anything, and I mean anything else. If you're looking for a cross platform multiplayer like I was then go with Modern Warfare, it isn't great itself, but it blows this utter piece of trash out of the water.

    How anyone can leave a positive review for this game is beyond me. It’s so bad it’s actually a joke. I mean I can’t find one good thing about it. The gameplay in general, gunplay, audio and animations are trash. The multiplayer is 10 steps back from MW2. This game should be pulled from the shelves and PS store. What a terrible, terrible game.. Worst Call of Duty game ever made full stop!

    Movement feels terrible, gun mechanics feel horrible, map designs aren’t good. Just all around not good. The worst part about the game is skill based matchmaking. It has completely ruined the multiplayer games. You have one game where you play 2 year olds and go 60-5, then the skill matchmaking puts you in a game with every member of Faze and you get destroyed. At first I cut the developers some slack given the circumstances and blatantly obvious early release. But it’s now been 3 months and day 1 issues are still prevalent, and with the first batch of dlc looming less than a week away I have no hope of things improving.     Didn't rate it as a flat zero because it has good level design. The guns mechanics are weird, the player movement is arcade like, the shot registry is lame.     Jogabilidade: 9.0/10 - Excelente jogabilidade, com boa fluide, ótima variedade de armas, sendo a precisão e realismo dos combates quesitos que eu vejo como bastante positivos. O mesmo vale para o controle de veículos do jogo. História: 9.0/10: A história é excelente, ao meu ver. Retrata um dos    Gráficos: 8.5/10 - Gráficos ótimos, especialmente no que tange aos ambientes de jogo.

    Jogabilidade: 9.0/10 - Excelente jogabilidade, com boa fluide, ótima variedade de armas, sendo a precisão e realismo dos combates quesitos que eu vejo como bastante positivos. O mesmo vale para o controle de veículos do jogo.

    História: 9.0/10: A história é excelente, ao meu ver. Retrata um dos períodos mais importantes do século XX, que é a Guerra Fria, onde fica claro que os vilões são os comunistas (que de fato são), mas os americanos estão longe de serem santos (não são mesmo). Ela é bastante imersiva e suas decisões e missões secundárias interferem inclusive no desfecho do jogo, que possui diferentes (e surpreendentes e excelentes finais). Não dou 10 porque o modo Single Player é mais curto do que eu acho que poderia ser. Mas nada que comprometa de fato a história. Sem mais detalhes para não dar spoiler.

    Personagens: 9,5/10 - Os personagens do jogo são incríveis, alguns deles inclusive reais (como Ronald Reagan e Mikhail Gorbachev) únicos em suas características e, mesmo os secundários, tem relevância na história. Os protagonistas são muito bem desenvolvidos e a história do personagem que vc controla, praticamente o jogo todo, é simplesmente de cair o queixo.

    Diversão: 9.0/10 - A diversão maior fica por conta do modo Zombie (Multiplayer) que é bem produzido, contendo inclusive uma história excelente, baseada em partes em fatos reais (como a iminente ameaça de uma guerra nuclear apocalíptica entre EUA e URSS), onde suas decisões interferem diretamente no desfecho do jogo; além de plot twists, como todo grande jogo deve ter; personagens muito bem desenvolvidos (especialmente o protagonista que vc joga), sendo alguns deles reais; gráficos de alta qualidade e diversão garantida pra quem curte um grande jogo action/shooter, especialmente no modo Zombies. Pra mim, é um jogo que entrará para a história pela forma incrível que ele retrata um marco da História: a Guerra Fria.

    Nota Final: 9.0/10 - O jogo faz jus ao status de uma das maiores franquias de todos os tempos que é o COD, com uma história excelente, com direito a plot twists, como todo grande jogo deve ter e finais diferentes, de acordo com as decisões e missões que vc conclui; personagens muito bem desenvolvidos (especialmente o protagonista que vc joga), sendo alguns deles reais; gráficos de alta qualidade e diversão garantida, especialmente no modo Zombies (Multiplayer).     campaigns from cod 4 to this one. Cod bo cw had the best
    campaign in my opinion. The multiplayer is good( i don't have a clue of what hackers and sbmm are players talking about) and the zombies. All the complains i have heard about are not real.... I don't know. I fell like some of the reviews are total bullsh*t, I am sorry to say that.

    The multiplayer is terrible and infinitely inferior compared to Modern Warfare (2019).

    The zombies mode is fun, but lack in content.

The standard skins for the operators are booooring as hell. Take a look at the skins for the specialist in BO3. Those were cool and for free (btw everything a said about the skins also goes for the weapon camoes. They are boooooooring as hell. Where are the reactive, ultra, super-duper, hot, fancy, cool camoes from BO4?? In the Battle-Pass? Where are the cool camoes for the players who do not want to spend some extra money. MW felt so good even for someone like me who skipped cod's since ghost. But this game is just not fun at all. If you play against someone witha controller with Mouse even on pc you got no chance because the AutoaimThe game just feels like Black Ops 2 in bad. Start with a couple of fun games and lobbies then end up MLG/pro tournament lobbies filled with tryhards trying to prove to there mom there not worthless.     Due to the skill based matchmaking the online multiplayer is almost unplayable. It's impossible to play easy rounds and just chill - always a sweat with players, who are better than you. The graphics aren't that good and the ps4 pro can't load the textures fast enough so there's a massive pop-in effect of objects (poorly optimised to the hardware) These games get worse from year to year.

    With 40 bucks I'm actually having a lot of fun with all game modes. The terrible part is the SBMM system. It's beyond control since it literally lags you spontaneously in game when the system is trying to balance you while facing an enemy who's underdog to you. This is **** up. But other than that, it's great.

    Overall good game but the Skill Based Matchmaking makes the game honestly unplayable. I don’t want to compete and sweat every single match. The spawn areas are also broken; I spawn in where not even 2 steps later, without even able to shoot, die. It’s not enjoyable or fun. Until they fix the spawn areas and remove Skill Based Matchmaking I’m giving it a 2/10.

    The devs should be ashamed for releasing a game of this level of quality. MW 2019 may have its flaws, but it is, quite literally - 10000x better than this ****    … Expand

Fix the broken spawns, movement, stutter, bugs, make it skill based (matchmaking is the worst; matching you based on previous match performance and does not let you improve) and then we might have something to talk about. jesus i really regret the 40 euros (yes i regret the discount) i spent.

    I made a Metacritic Account only to warn you all of this Game. This Game is unfinished and poorly made. Only the Shop, where you can spend your real money, works well. Its a Shame for a AAA Company. Its only milking People with an old great Name. And to say something about Sbmm: Its in the Game and its very strict. You get only Players with your skills to play. For me, thats not a huge Problem. But its not enjoyable, when the Game is soo broken! Aim Assist dont works, the Hitboxes dont work how it should. And things like that should NEVER happen in a Game that matches you with people same skill. Ghuess what happens when a Friend join your session, that isnt as good as you... We get Enemies that are the average between him and me. So i feel like playing againist bots and he gets only better players. He cant enjoy it. And the Ping... it feels like you play againist people on mars! = Bad Servers.
    But to say something good about this game: Its beautiful made. Most of the Maps are pretty good. The Sounds are good like the Multyplayer Menu Music from Bo1. The Battle Royale i never Played, because it was not in the Game. Now it is. The Zombie Mode is really good, but the game will crash somethimes the Console, what is very frustrating in Zombies. At the End, i deinstalled the Game after 2 Weeks. Not because of hate or something. The Multiplayer (the Reason i buy Cod) is not enjoyable. Completely not. They never should have bring this game out in this state. Its like a unfinished beta and we pay full price for beta testing and treyarch maybe will fix this game. Maybe not. And its very sad to see this great Franchise getting that worse. I play it since MW2. My personal Favorite was BO1 and the last very good Cod was BO3 in my eyes. Its sad. Graphically it feels like we’ve gone back years, and okay wise it’s hands down the worst Call of Duty ever. There’s no memorable or enjoyable maps, no good guns, nothing that stands out about this game, other than it just a sweaty, unsuitable waste of money. It’s okay though because they couldn’t mess up Warzone with this last version of unbalanced guns could they...     Firstly, the good: - The campaign is good fun, and I like that it has replay value. It continues the Cold War-era themes of psychological operations, lies and intrigue. - Zombies is also good fun. Having not played any since COD WWII it is definitely better than that game, and I have a    This is the first time I have written a review, but I felt I needed to for Black Ops Cold War.

    Firstly, the good:
    - The campaign is good fun, and I like that it has replay value. It continues the Cold War-era themes of psychological operations, lies and intrigue.
    - Zombies is also good fun. Having not played any since COD WWII it is definitely better than that game, and I have a number of hours of played time with friends in Cold War zombies.

    On to the bad, of which there is a lot:
    - Multiplayer: Multiplayer is pretty dreadful, and ultimately leaves me logging off frustrated if not downright angry. Skill-based matchmaking is dialled up to 11 in this game; I either do well (with 50% more kills than deaths) or do badly (50% more deaths than kills). There is rarely an in between, and when you are playing well, you can't go on a streak of big scores/ high KD games because the algorithms see to it that you don't. The spawns are DREADFUL. I have had a number of times when I spawn basically in front of the enemy that just killed me, or enemies spawn behind me as I advance a small distance down the map, basically sandwiching you between those in front and those who have just spawned behind.
    The maps are pretty dreadful too: lots of open space and a multitude of angles to be shot from. This deliberately adds in a large random element, which is by design, not accident.
    - Zombies: Although I have praised it above, it needs more content. One major map (Die Maschine) and that is it. The other modes are a quick bit of fun, but quickly repetitive, and are just based off of multiplayer maps.
    - Graphics: These look like a game from 10 years ago. Lots of low resolution stuff throughout the game. The graphics in the Fire Team mode are woeful, and perhaps most clearly demonstrate how dated this game looks. Characters also have hilarious animations when climbing ladders, with their hands and legs going out at 90 degrees to their torsos and climbing using the very edges of the rungs. It looks like an animation from a 90's game.
    - Gameplay: The movement of operators feels erratic and not smooth, particularly when aiming at them. Going back to Fire Team again, the bad gameplay is perhaps most obvious in this mode: people parachuting in on top of you repeatedly after you have killed them; DMRs beaming you from a mile away; and randomly spawning killstreaks that dominate. Again, luck seems to play a big part in who does well in this game mode, not so much skill. The classic COD head glitching is still very much present in this game.

    Ultimately I buy into the cynicism - I think a lot of the things in the game (map design, SBMM etc.) are done to make it more attractive to casual players and give them a 'fighting chance.' What it ultimately does is hollow out the game for anyone who plays it regularly (not even at a high level, just plays it most days). These players are rewarded with ridiculous deaths in an effort to inject randomness into the game, and progressively harder lobbies for their efforts.

    This is one of the few games where I log off angry or frustrated after a session, rather than having had a good time (with the exception of Zombies with friends). Activision and their subsidiaries need to get back to producing a game that is fun - rigid skill-based matchmaking, bad gameplay, and horrible maps make this game a horror show at times.    … Expand

    1/10 - Vehicles are still just a gimmick regardless of the mode, they feel odd and clunky. It‘s possible to shoot down a tank with rifles easily. SBMM:
    1/10 - It is far to easy to downgrade your skill level. Just kill yourself often enough to get better lobbies. This reverse boosting leads to frustrating lobbies for average players who do not grind at least 6 hours a day.

    Character Design:
    On a scale of 1-10? A zero.
    The character Design in this game looks like a LEGO Version of USA versus the evil Russian. The colours, the details - almost any charakter looks awfull. Even the ones you have to buy. The weapons:
    4/10 - They feel balanced but!! DMRs are WAY to powerfull in this game. 95% of the weapons are straight MW2019 clones. There ist still the M4, MP5, MP7, Uzi and so on but with slightly different names. The Skills:
    3/10 It really shouldnt be possible to have a dead silence perk active all the time. It was perfectly balanced in MW2019 by charging „dead silence“.

    The Spawns:
    2/10 - Its way to easy to get spawnlocked/spawncamped in this game. Spawnflips are way too often with remaining camping enemy players on both sides. So you get farmed as soon you spawn fairly often.    … Expand

    AND i think it doesn't need to be reminded that Cold War is more the 100 GB and if you want to play Warzone you need to install another 206 GB. Two games who should be one that actually are 306 GB and totally not worth.    … Expand

And all of this I saw within an hour of playing . Their developers have gone dark and never answer questions or interact with the community, the game took 50% of my storage on my Xbox, the battle pass is a rip off of modern warfare's style, in fact it's combined WITH it, so it's mooching off of another games success. Now as for zombies, the map is fun, enjoyable and is the only reason I have the game still installed, I don't wanna reinstall 250gigs every time I wanna play zombies. My only gripe is the glitches and the fact that there's only one map. One issue that I saw was the worst was it SHUT OFF MY XBOX, no game has ever done that and made me feel like I downloaded some malicious stuff into my Xbox before.To end off with, I'ma say I don't recommend this game to anyone, it feels incomplete, abandoned, and feels like a rip off.… Expand

    The game has so many inconsistencies. SBMM is horrible. I can't play for any length of time because it's just not enjoyable. One game your gun is shooting Lazer beams of pure death and you can't be stopped, then it shoots marshmallows for 5 or 6 games, then layzers again.

    Spent about 30 minutes trying to get into a game and it kept throwing me into full lobbies and i kept getting the same error over and over again that the lobby is full. Unplayable garbage.
    Zombies was the only fun thing in that game and got almost instant matchmaking.

    I loved the call of duty black ops series for their depiction of espionage and government secrets, but what was a disappointment for this entry was, not only is the campaign a download in 3 parts it affects your ending based on the things you do in the game or things you didn’t pick up. While the combat and Cold War setting was something that kept me engaged it left something to be desired that it was incredibly short. The fact that it ties you into Warzone and Modern Warfare is a bit much. I’m not big on multiplayer games personally so the issue I have is the quality of life for the game feels cheapened but the aspect of it being solely multiplayer focused. I don’t understand why so many developers were used in the game seeing as some of the segments weren’t all that ground breaking and felt a bit phoned in. The only positive points I have are in the game’s performance on PS4 as well as the visuals. This over encumbered game expects you to play online and while I can see that being why people play Call of Duty games, the series for me has cheapened into cash grab territory and that’s upsetting to me. So congrats to the 8 developers by making Black Ops as bland and uninteresting as the other Call of Duty games I guess money pools are more important.… Expand

    Visuals and audio are a step back from modern warfare. It looks like crap and the audio is garbage. Controls are clunky at best. And the servers CONSTANTLY have issues. Overall I regret my purchase of this game.

I honestly can't stand this and the zombies mode isn't even that fun. The people making cod need to go back and have pols so we can actually get a chance on getting something we want.     It has achieved one of the most pleasant FPS gameplay in the industry, in addition to a sound configuration that makes you feel sensations closer to the physical ones only through sound (I have no vibration since I play on PC with keyboard and mouse).
    I enjoyed the Modern Warfare multiplayer more than Cold War multiplayer, but in everything else Cold War seemed much better, especially with Outbreak, this being the zombies mode that I have ever enjoyed the most and to which I am very very very hooked playing solo and co-op.    … Expand

    A huge stepback from last year's cod installment. This game feels lifeless, empty, unfinished and rushed to meet activisions standards for a yearly release. The multiplayer experience is horrible and the game still crashes constantly. Campaign is ver short but not bad and Zombies is the only enjoyable mode out there. This game is just an unfinished mess.

    Only Treyarch is incompetent enough to make a game that doesn't know how capitalize on a better company (Infinity Ward) and still break the game with busted guns like the streetsweeper. Engine is absolutely horrendous and animations look like a high schooler with special needs made it in their free time. Treyarch please do the COD community a favor and never make another title ever again

    Utter rubbish. Activision couldn't care less if you enjoy it as long as they have your money. This game is riddled with bad coding, bad graphics and what isn't bad is just dated and shoddy.
    No feedback from activision or the Devs.
    I have a PS4 pro and the graphics are equivalent to a PS2 on a good day. I will be going STRAIGHT BACK TO BATTLEFIELD after this horrendous piece of garbage

    I will never understand people hating on this game.
    First the campaign. One of few games that puts quality over quantity. You can finish the story in around 5 hours, but it's absolutely amazing, one of the best campaigns in all call of duty games. One of the best parts of the single player experiences for me was finding clues to other missions and deciphering them so that i can get acces to them. And both endings at the end of the game are amazing and unexpected which makes them even better.
    When it comes to multiplayer, it's made so that it is similiar to older COD game. Modern Warfare added a completely new gunplay and customization which was great. The varaiety of weapon customizaton in the new Black Ops isn't possible because the game takes place in 80s when guns weren't that customizable.
    The overall gamplay is more dynamic with smaller maps and new perks. It really is hard to camp in one place and kill somebody.
    For now there isn't that much content as there is in MW, because like in the previous game it's going to be added overtime.
    And now the zombies. To be honest the new zombies are great. The option of upgrading perks, weapons, field upgrades, picking a modified gun from your loadout changes the game completely. The game now isn't so based of getting a Ray Gun from a mystery box. For now there isn't much content, there are only two normal zombie maps and a new Outbreak mode which now has 5 diffrent maps.
    Overall it's a very good game. Of course it is something diffrent from Modern Warfare but it's not necesirly worse, it all depends on what people want from an FPS.    … Expand

    The absolute worst game I’ve ever played. Still feels like a beta game with no support. They add more problems than solutions. They are only looking for your money and not your enjoyment. I hope raven studios never leads a game again.

    4. в Warzone делайте пушки с худшими оружими от серий Black ops
    5. я не просто так поставил ноль балов и это движок Black ops 3: это старый даижок 2015 года нахуй ну нахуя так делать

    This has got to be least optimized and polished game I've ever seen.

    The game lags and crashes at every opportunity it sees. The giant updates are very obnoxious and are unfortunately very frequent.

    This is by far one of the worst Games i have bought for 60€.
    it usually cashes for me or one of my friends which makes the game unplayable for me.
    they realsease updates that are 50gp+ big almost every 2 weeks so if you ever decided to play this buggy mess of a game then you usually have to first updated it for at least 1hour.

    I DO NOT RECOMAND BUYING THIS GAME

    Absolutely trash. About 80% of the zombie games I get in the host quits and it never migrates the host, therefore sending everyone back to the menu. This has been happening for over 8 years now. I thought they would fix it but it appears they are too lazy to fix something people have been complaining about. I will never ever buy another Call of duty game again. Incredibly poor stability, overuse of computer resources, extremely poor Nvidia integration leading to large reliance on driver updates, far too many updates required to fix this totally unfinished game, very poor network optimisation. Achievement and goal stats often fail to track, hitboxes vs.This game is proof that a developer doesn't need to be skilled to work for a AAA publisher. You cannot even save your gun loadout designs. There is far too much bias to aim-assist for controller users, making this one of the most unskilled games out ther.=. This is literally one of the worst games I've ever played.

    Furthermore, so few wanted to transition from Modern Warfare, that the community is so small and one of the most toxic out there. Skill-based match-making means most of your matches end up with leavers (cowards), as they don't want to hurt their stats. Furthermore, the skill-based match-making makes these toxic players the sweatiest and most intense in-game, yet.

    This is not a fun game, and the devs should honestly feel embarrassed. DON'T BUY! This isn't worth $10 let alone their insane idiot pricing.    … Expand

Ive since deleted this pile of crap and will never ever buy a call of duty gamw again. Now other problems i had b4 it currepted everythung is you can't skip cutscenes or any talking scenes at all and they are loooooong af. Game play is ok when you get to play but it ruined by them not letting you skip. This is all campaign that I'm upset about oh and good luck on the loading bc wow does ot suck. I done know how that is on a downloaded game. I cant speak for the multi player but if its like the campaign then buckle up bc this game sucks… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have a lot to say about this game so let me get straight to the point. Skill based matchmaking made every game for me feel like a chore. Its a constant fight for head glitches and camp spots because no body wants to use the terrible, clunky movement and get insta-killed by the god awfully op weapons. People who are not good at the game choose to sit in one spot and aim down sight which gives them an advantage; however, with these weapons it seems that camping has become the meta, and its boring for the good players who want to actually have a fun, casual experience. During the gameplay, i noticed i had zero time to react when getting shot at and I would just die. This was mostly to campers who would sit and wait at a doorway or corner so by the time you saw them and put your gun up or aim down the sights you are already dead. Not to mention half of the people i play against camp. i only actively see 2-3 people actually playing toward the goal of the game such as domination or hardpoint and that makes it really hard to have fun. Anyways, back to skill based matchmaking, one of the worst things to come to COD ever. In cold war they make it so you verse people you would get a 1.00 KD against. And there is the problem, right there. When I actually have fun playing its when i get a good KD or am playing with friends and winning games. Cold war literally tries to keep your KD down to be “fair to other players”. They stripped the fun from the game to make it more fair. That is honestly the dumbest thing I've heard in all of video games. The point of playing is to have fun and enjoy being good at something but cold war takes this away from its users which is why I rate it the worst cod of all time by far. In addition, the devs rushed this game like no other. The bugs and glitches are everywhere and to some extent makes the game unplayable. Treyarch needs to re-evaluate their purpose (which is to entertain, not scam us all out of 60$) and do better next cod because I will not buy another game with skill based matchmaking and dynamic nerfing that comes with a whole sleuth of bugs and glitches. This game could have been made back in the early 2000s, and it should have been worth 10$. F for effort… Expand

At this point even the nuke town is trash. I even hate the zombies it’s honestly my least favorite game of all time and it sucks to think about how I waisted $60 dollars on this dumb game.     Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ends up mirroring what the Call of Duty franchise offered last year, with some new additions that are also welcome, especially for long-term fans. While being set during a very intense period, the campaign ends up erring for its disappointing longevity, even though the value of repetition is intrinsic to it. Zombies are back in style, while multiplayer gains an excellent new mode, but here it errs again for the arsenal's lack of variety.

    While Cold War is a part of a series I would have said that I loved, I can’t fully embrace it now knowing that this work is trucking in harmful stereotypes via patriotic-tinged gameplay. A decent CoD multiplayer experience will likely emerge from the currently-underwhelming Cold War, but I’m going to seriously consider whether that gameplay is worth enduring (and supporting) the rest.
