    Dont know what they did with the aiming but something is wrong with it. Does not feel right at all it goes crazy at some point and than it doesn't move fast enough is just bad

    I only rate the multi-player.

    I gave a 1.. I had to come back and make it a 0. After playing it for a while I have to say this is the worse Cod I have ever played in my life. * input lag *laggy movement * broken aim assist * broken shotgun as 2nd weapon * sniper rifles are way to strong with way to strong aim assist. Quickscopers and hard scopes are ruining it. * unbalanced weapons *    I only rate the multi-player.

    I would just like to preface this review by stating that I have sunk well over 55+ hours into this game and have prestiged twice (as opposed to just jumping on the bandwagon and bombarding it with hyperbolic, outlandish negative reviews.)

    Graphics: Looks absolutely superb on my PC with the High Resolution textures, genuinely the best looking Call Of Duty i've ever seen.     Graphics: Looks absolutely superb on my PC with the High Resolution textures, genuinely the best looking Call Of Duty i've ever seen.

    Campaign: As someone who has been a massive fan of Call Of Duty campaigns since i picked up CoD4 as a teenager, Cold War delivers an amazing, thrilling, encapsulating & deep plot, the story is a massive return to form and left me feeling tense and nervous at points, the returning cast are great, the new additions to the Universe are well developed and fleshed out, the fact that they bring back the branching narratives in the campaign which hasnt really been done since Black Ops 2 is a great addition and really adds to the replayability.

    If i was to give it a rating it would be a solid 9/10, Raven Software did an amazing job working on the campaign this year and it would be amazing to see what Raven could do with their own Development Cycle as opposed to SHG.

    Multiplayer: Lets start with the positives, the gunplay is really smooth and the unique recoil patterns make it a challenge to get good which each individual weapon as opposed to each weapon playing pretty much the same, each gun feels unique and have a personality when inspecting or using them.
    The maps for the most part are visually gorgeous, whether it be the snowy tundra of Crossroads Strike, the Sand Dunes of Satellite or the Neon Nightlife of Miami they all look superb.

    However, that's all i can give it for the positives.

    The unbalanced weapons make this incredibly difficult to go even most games, whether or not that be the AUG / M16 1 Bursting you from across the map with seemingly no recoil or that be the guy that's hiding in a chokepoint headglitching with a sniper and several proximity mines / C4 making your life a living hell due to the broken spawning system, or if its the Skill Based Matchmaking that puts you through a vicious cycle of having two poor games and then on the third one you absolute steamroll the other team.

    Camos are glitching out, the leveling system doesn't work properly and shows incorrect levels when you hit Prestige 1, Calling Cards cant be changed for love nor money for no apparent reason, the map Ruka on Dirty Bomb consistently crashes both mine and a friends game for no apparent reason, the lack of dedicated servers and not prioritizing players based on connection is ridiculous in 2020, the lack of maps, the lack of weapons, the slow weapon XP grind, the insane level of head-glitches, the character models blending into environments making it absolutely impossible to spot people despite them dude to the Reveal Enemy feature.

    The Multiplayer as it stands right now is a broken mess, but i still enjoy it (even though i have to play with a group of friends as whenever i play solo i seem to get put against CPL tier players)

    Zombies:

    Nothing much to say here, Zombies is Zombies.
    But it's not really.
    Lemme explain, apart from the design of the map and the Zombies (duh) it doesn't feel like a traditional Zombies mode, the UI looks like the one from Warzone, the Waypoint system removes any level of skill or adventure, the mode just feels like a spec ops mode with zombies elements.
    Fun if you're wanting a break from multiplayer or with friends.

    This review seems overwhelmingly negative, but don't let that stop you from finding your own fun with the game, because that's what I'm doing and that's what makes call of duty, call of duty.

    Skillbased matchmaking ruins the entire game. It has a good foundation, but it continues the path that MW took: lower the skill gap as much as possible, so that the worst player ever will still have a 1.0 K/D and pump the money into Activision's bank account. SBMM and the low skill gap are the reason that this game is absolutely unbearable.

    This game is unplayable at this state. Poor aim, poor bullet registration, poor visibility, poor graphics...overall: Modern Warfare is a superior product. Don't waste your money like I have done in this game

    They just need better maps and weapon balancing. It’s disappointing that we got a downgrade in terms of visuals. The campaign is short but it’s amazing.

    The campaign is good, Zombies feels fresh again, and multiplayer is horrible. I don't mind the amount of time it takes to level up weapons since it gives me something to work for in-game. Once again, multiplayer is ruined by Activi$ion.

    This game is so bad i made a Metacritic account to review it. Skill based matchmaking has ruined the franchise. I have to sweat so hard in order to break even. My first game i dropped 52 kills. I wish i wouldn't have. Now I only play against Gfuel cracked kids. Its so annoying i do not even look forward to playing it. There should be a ranked playlist or something for sweats.     Non-binary cringe and terrible graphics with a **** campaign. Also the multiplayer has trash maps and gameplay is slow. The beta was better. Only buy it for zombies. Wait for a price drop.

    SBMM makes this game unplayable. often match me with noobs, Noobs will always go negative and I end up losing matches. also because of SBMM, the game takes a long time searching for lobbies, which are usually against COD professional sweats.

    The online is the same except for cross play.. Now you get to play with PC players who jump like rabbits every time you shoot at them.. Every character    It's like Groundhog's day.. Seems like every time I get a COD game it's the same over and over. Same stuff wrong. Same stupid game play. Seriously how many times can you get knocked out in single player to have someone lift you up?

    The online is the same except for cross play.. Now you get to play with PC players who jump like rabbits every time you shoot at them.. Every character is Michael Jordan with a 6 feet high vertical leap. You still get killed and watch the kill cam and it's not even close to what you seen on your screen. You don't even make it around the corner but you're dead. In kill cam you were around the corner tying your shoes when you were shot. You can put 50 rounds into a sniper standing 5 feet from you and he still gets the shot off. People spawn behind you constantly for revenge kills. It's like we were thrown back into 2002.     Worst cod ever made. Out of touch Metacritic has lost what little respect I had left “best cod ever made”???! At least pretend like you have an ounce of dignity. When the audience score is 3/10 yet you still call it the best game ever and give it 8/10 your no longer “reviewing” a game your advertising.

    3 out of 10 for the Zombie mode but not a AAA Title money worth buy Modern Warfare if you want a good campaign and a good multiplayer    … Expand

    Ok I'm going to make this quite simple, campaigned is fun, short and has alot of bugs
    Multiplayer, guns are op and developers nerf the guns that are already bad instead of the guns which run the show, graphics are terrible and maps feel uninspired.
    Zombies is alright and is very forgetable and buggy.

    Everything from the sounds to the graphics to the gun feel seems out of date. The maps have very little variety and are basically 2 dimensional with very little verticality. There are also too many choke points where advancing lanes can be almost completely shut down. Modes like domination can be decided at the beginning of the match. Not polished at all. I feel like I completely wasted my money.

    I'm struggling to see what people like about the campaign. The multiplayer is universally not well received so I'll ignore that. But I bought this for the campaign. And the campaign is a poorly done 3 hour mess with "choices" that give you no meaningful change. The final mission that you do is like 5 minutes long whatever path you decide to take. Other than that, there are like 3 otherI'm struggling to see what people like about the campaign. The multiplayer is universally not well received so I'll ignore that. But I bought this for the campaign. And the campaign is a poorly done 3 hour mess with "choices" that give you no meaningful change. The final mission that you do is like 5 minutes long whatever path you decide to take. Other than that, there are like 3 other small things you decide on doing in the game that might be mentioned very briefly in the epilogue.

    It's disgusting how much critics are giving credit to this campaign. I suspect there is some shilling going on but who knows. The story is poorly done and the twist at the end isn't worth the slow burn of the campaign. No interesting characters are introduced, the setting is boring, the writing is too similar to past Black Ops games.

    Campaign was fun, but quite short. No real challenge on regular difficulty, so up it if you want to have to try a little. I’ve never gotten into zombies, but this one seems fun enough. Multiplayer is trash. Poor level design/spawns, lack of maps, you name it. I uninstalled the game, honestly. Unless there’s a major update, I’ll go play on COD:MW every day over this game.

    Really enjoyed the story on this one! I haven’t been a huge fan of the Black Ops but I have really had fun in multiplayer and Zombies. Overall I am happy and pleased with how the game turned out. Just have a hard time with other players using those dam sniper rifles with quick scope.

I like the push for story and I think it stands out very well on it's own but multiplayer is your kick in the groin. I can go 26 and 10 then get in a lobby full of tryhards who have nothing else to do but cheese their way to win.     Such a bad game, the campaign has the worst story i've ever experienced in a video game, multiplayer will make you commit either murder or suicide (whichever happens first). Zombies is the only playable aspect of the game, but even that can't keep this game from being a zero and a total waste of money and time.

    Solid enough entry. Campaign is interesting and Zombies is the best it's ever been (and usually they're bland and sub par). Poor matchmaking, frequent game crashes and matchmaking issues really takes the wind out of the games sails.

    Game is an utter mess, less content than ever before and has horrific levels of sbmm in multiplayer with no ranked mode. They know the Pro’s, streamers and 99% of hardcore fans want a ranked mode with sbmm and no sbmm in public matches.Yet they insist on keeping it thinking it will make them more by crushing the skill gap and it’s a joke!!!

    For a call of duty game I want to give it more than a 5 but can't. I enjoyed the campaign, really threw me for a loop. Multiplayer is on and off for me, very inconsistent it feels like. Zombies I feel has been very fun and have been playing that the most, however, if this game wants a bigger score, it has to fix its multiplayer, sbmm is an awful platform for players as people can reverse boost.

It’s gun-play and balancing, are a joke, and would be an insult to good games to even call it sub-par. Shotguns are a joke, the game is riddled with bugs. It runs as if it were deliberately designed to run at 5 frames a second. In overall, the game feels like a massive step backwards for the call of duty franchise. It’s only saving graces are what may be an interesting zombies storyline and an exceptional campaign addition to the franchise, when it runs.… Expand

I was hoping for this game to be the redeeming game for the franchise after MW ruined it for me, but this is worse than MW. The only part of this game I actually enjoyed was zombies. I was gonna go for the dark aether camo, but then they decided to make leveling up weapons in zombies basically pointless. I will notIf I had to use one word to describe this game I would use disappointing. I was hoping for this game to be the redeeming game for the franchise after MW ruined it for me, but this is worse than MW. The only part of this game I actually enjoyed was zombies. I was gonna go for the dark aether camo, but then they decided to make leveling up weapons in zombies basically pointless. If you have even just one decent match ..... your next match is guaranteed to be the sweatiest of sweatfests that you would have ever played. Thickest SBMM I’ve seen so far and the worst part is that it’s implemented into casual matches since there isn’t any type of COD league or competitive ranking playlists available. If you have even just one decent match ..... your next match is guaranteed to be the sweatiest of sweatfests that you would have ever played.     The multiplayer has been an unmitigated disaster from day one. For the first weekend, I struggled to even play it because of a bug that would disconnect my controller and force me to restart the PS4 to fix it. There are very few maps, and the layouts for most maps need series tweaking. The weapons are limited, customization was initially non-existent. I hated the multiplayer experience so I played zombies. Which is fun, when it works. Connection problems, long loading times, and having a 70% chance of being thrown into a game in progress (like 10 rounds in to a 20 round game), oh and I’ve never been able to successfully load into an endless zombies game.

    The game is unfinished, textures are plastic and low detail, menus and customization and simplified not as an aesthetic choice, but seemingly because there was no time to finish them. The guns all feel the same-y except for the ones that are horribly balanced,

    Paying full price for a game that has not improved or been optimized since the beta is garbage. Yes there are growing pains at the launch of any online game, but the levels of jank and “let’s just get it out and we’ll patch it later” is unacceptable. They are punishing the people who are the most hyped for their games by shooting out an unfinished mess. Maybe this game will be worth playing in 6 months and 15 more patches, but by then they’ll be halfway through shooting out next years unfinished turd.

    Hot garbage. The game is a mess. Looks like a cartoon. I know Modern Warfare failed in the multiplayer but at least the guns, graphics and overl mechanics were sound. This? This is trash.

On top of that, it's going for a more arcade feel, but it feels like they didn't fully commit. it just falls flat.

    Overall, the game is ok, not really fun, but not really bad either. The main issue is the price; it is really not worth the full price for what you get. Who really knows what happened in development when making this game, so I don't want to blame anyone. My recommendation is to just keep playing MW and wait for the next release.     This is all coming from someone who has played very few COD games. The game excels in zombies and campaign. However, multiplayer is average at best. In game soundtrack is very good. Noticing a ton of idiots with either 1 or 10s. The game is neither.

    SBMM it's the worst thing ever to be invented can't have fun anymore I've played call of duty for years and years and I loved going on mw2 years ago having a blast with friends with random people but now no one wants to play it because the support streaks are stupid to get and every game is constentlly a sweaty fest

    Terrible netcode/hit detection/weapon balance. I don't know if it's related to sbmm matching players between far locations, but the netcode is pure trash. You can change the weapon to double the bullet velocity, it will help, but you still have situations where you can kill or die to enemies that are not in the screen anymore. Sometimes you hit the players a lot of times but it's just notTerrible netcode/hit detection/weapon balance.     I was recently brought back to cod in 2019, I loved modern warfare, but cold War hits differently. It brings me back to the days of the old cods.

    I love the aesthitic of the game and the weapons are all enjoyable to shoot and play with. Campaign feels like metal gear solid 5 with the spy factor and espionage.     Multiplayer and campaign are positive. Overall the game is virtually unplayable for myself and thousands of other people on PC. Its hard to enjoys the game when you get a fatal error every 20 mins. Activision need to make sure their games are finished before the sell them because this is a heep of garbage sold for a minimum ot £49.99.

    Quite frankly it sucks, the graphics look like they were designed by a small child, the content is lacking, all they care about is pumping out new skins, Zombies is the only saving grace but with only one proper Zombies map that doesn't even cut it, save your money, I'm avoiding the next black ops.

I wish I could get a refund honestly. Waste of 60 bucks. Black ops 2 is the best. Modern Warfare is even better than this game.

    Multiplayer 4/10 - The multiplayer weapon balancing has been a joke post launch. With broken guns like the MP5 dominating at mid to long range against 'reliable' ARS like the XM4. It should not be happening. As for content for Multiplayer, we get 8 base maps, two of which are recycled from the 12v12 maps. It shows laziness and serious anti-consumerism. Also came across a severe camo glitch issue which made me redo the Long shots camo challenge on the XM4 to get gold as the challenge reset after completion on numerous occasions. This is a game breaker for a seasoned COD vet like me who wishes to progress, it destroys replayability.

    Zombies 8/10 - Zombies has been given a HUGE revamp in this years COD. The innovations are fresh and unique, with every gun becoming a viable means of survival and them buffing the Ray Gun again to make it relevant again. Overall a great game mode with great replayability and fun. However, the graphics and textures take a life-time to load in Zombies but also Multiplayer. Ihonestly feel like I'm playing ROBLOX from time to time. I understand they tried to priorities next-gen but the drop off in textures is a joke.

    Overall 5/10

    Although there are many issues with the game it came as a direct result of Activisions greed, they knew Treyarch had no chance of fixing a game given to them 9 months prior to release. This resulted in an unfinished project being sold for full price. I am a seasoned vet and will always buy this franchise yearly however, I do recommend waiting till 2021 until you invest your money in this game as there will be far more content coming in the Season 1 update on Dec 10th. With this hopefully major bug and glitch fixes.

    SBMM is also another MAJOR issue for the Multiplayer, it no longer allows a poor player to learn and get better but it simply PUNISHES the player for improving by placing them into a harder lobby. With this causing exhaustion amongst players and apathy kicks in, the game no longer becomes fun. I can no longer play hours on end with these recent CODs with this Matchmaking system, it is impossible to gain create satisfaction with a variety of difficulty in my games. Nowadays it is always games of extreme difficulty which only exhaust the player.

    Either way I recommend skipping paying for this game if you are a great Multiplayer fan, as for Zombies, it is a blast    … Expand

    Such a great game. Been playing until i got to first prestige befor i wrote a review for the game. Had a blast playing with friends in TDM, Kill confirm and many others. Zombies is better than ever and the weaponds in the game are so fun to use! Although i miss the kill streaks they still did a ok job with the scorestreaks except for when there is a camper sitting somewhere in a corner.Such a great game.     Weapon behavior an movement

    Almost all weapons have no recoil so i cant sax much about the behavior but it doesnt feel right to me. Movement is so clunky and garbage compared to MW. I mean it doesnt have to be super 100% realistic, its still an Arcade shooter but why it has to be like super Nintendo? Even the movement animations are like super Mario when you see teammates running or crouching or what ever.
    Throwing tactical Equipment or nades is seriously so **** 2000 animation...

    Weapons and attachments

    MP5 nothing more to say here.
    If you dont for 6 perks MP5 bunny hopping Ninja Assassin stimming around better take the m16 and burst them all from and point of the map.

    The only good thing about this cod title are the attachment stats. A very tiny plus here.

    View and HUD

    Well, i have to put a **** lamp attachment on my gun to see anything. Nothing more to say about the overwiev in most maps. HUD hasnt changed compared to MW

    General campaign

    I played the first mission but canceled due to constant errors. Havent tried it again since then.

    General Multiplayer

    No map diversity. No fresh game modes I thought MW multiplayer was the Definition of camping but here we go. There is lit plenty of spots on every map where you cant compete against other players if they Camp those. Zombies

    The only place where you cant hide A plus here as this mode is really enjoyable But MW had no zombies so its not really a plus and compareable and i dont buy a 70€ game for one good game mode then i rather invest in resident evil All in all i hope everyone who reads this will stick to MW or Warzone and dont waste their money on an unfinished piece of trash

The Multiplayer feels like a giant step back. It does not feel good to play and has a lot of technical issues. But at least we still have micro transactions *pub*
    This is the last CoD game for me switching back to Battlefield ;)

    BUT...then there is the match itself. When I first started playing I went straight for gold camos. I didn’t mind having a hard    First of all:

    BUT...then there is the match itself. When I first started playing I went straight for gold camos. I didn’t mind having a hard time keeping my score, KD and overall streaks up, since either my weapons were unequipped, or the challenges forced me to use setups, which didn’t suit my play style.
    After finishing 3 assault rifles, I thought I could try to enjoy my games for once....oh boy was I wrong. I was confused, I finally used my favorite setups, good perks and attachments, but I still got my ass kicked. I just didn’t understand why I was doing so bad when I tried to get even. The worst part was that I was unable to enjoy my time and relax, just how I did in every casual shooter before Cold War. I tried to do good, the match after I tried more and with every match it got harder and harder to have at least a 1, maximum a 1,8 KD. This game legit is exhausting and causes me headaches, I have to concentrate more than playing ranked in Rainbow 6 Siege and Counter Strike. The worst, I have no rank, no idea how good I am and how much I improved. The multiplayer is a complete mess, I bought a hardcore competitive, skill based matchmaking shooter for 70€, which SHOULD be a casual and arcade like shooter. I legit feel tricked and that I got lied at. I don’t want to play CoD in the afternoon, after a long day, just to sweat in CASUAL MULTIPLAYER (which is nothing at all enjoyable), without even getting a ranking, so I at least feel satisfaction by knowing how good or bad I am. Nothing rewards me for struggling harder and harder.

    I quit CoD Cold War, I will play this game if they turn down Skill based matchmaking in casual multiplayer, but for now I will rather play Black ops 4, which at least is an enjoyable casual experience, or Rainbow 6 siege and CS:GO, since I at least GET TO CHOOSE if I want to concentrate hard or play relaxed. But most of all, I at least get granted a rank, if I try hard and improve. At least they reward me with a rank, so at the end of the day I can feel good, maybe also brag to my friends with my rank...

    Last thing: FRIENDS...I can not play with my friends anymore, I am by no means a pro-player. But I at least have some skill, in Black
    Ops 4 I achieved a 2 EKIA/Death ratio, in modern warefare remastered a 1,4-1,8KD. This game doesn’t allow me and my friends to enjoy the experience at the same time, at any time they join me to play, those guys get beat up game after game. This is no fun to them, nor is it to me. Randomness was fun back in the day, always having a new experience, sometimes having to fight hard for our victory and sometimes just having a breeze and relax. Not in Cold War, the matches for me/for us are always feeling the same, no variety, which is sad, since all the potential and good stuff there is basically gets overshadowed by the immense influence SBMM has on all the gameplay.

It seems like Activison catered this game to low skill level players as, honestly only they will be enjoying this multiplayer. The amount of stuff that blatantly caters to new players a joke and makes veteran players feel completely neglected. The game was released in an unfinished state, clear as day, with only 8 maps, below standard animations and just honestly head scratch gameplay decision with lots of 'filler' that this game launched with. The bullet Reg is also a joke, especially for m/k, and that's not me saying console have it better. you can be playing on pc with a controller plugged in and have noticeably better hit Reg then using a m/k. which is beyond my understanding now they've managed to do that.
    Honestly, i blame bullet velocity. no one asked for bullet velocity to be in a COD multiplayer. its even in zombies for god sake. i understand it in blackout/warzone but not in casual game mods, whoever made that decision should be fired.

    Its at the point where i don't even feel the game needs a lot of quality of life improvements, some of the mechanics need straight up reworking!.

    The score streak system is now equivalent to the participation medal, anyone can get the highest score streak, you're progression doesn't reset upon death. This makes them meaningless in terms of difficulty and self pride to achieve. Clearly made for new players to feel like their doing great. False sense of achievement (which is a common theme)

    Assist count towards eliminations?? again, blatantly just there for lower skilled players to feel like their doing better then what their really are, PLUS, the average K/D in this game is BELOW 2.0....and that's with assists counts towards eliminations!!! (because of SBMM)

    Lobbies get automatically changed after each match just so you're forced into the SBMM algorithm which is probably why it feels so strong in this game compared to others. and also so little Timmy doesn't have to constantly play against better players or 'abusive' players because leaving to find a new lobby manually was clearly to much effort?

    Combat records are gone, or might as well be. there's no more leader boards to see how good players are in your lobby, you cant even click on a players to see their combat record to see how good they are. Everything to do with showing a players skill has been removed. One of the things about being a good COD players is showing off your K/D, I even remember in b02 trying to get and getting a 500spm to show off in leader boards. its all gone. There's no incentive to be a good player, this game fully only caters to new lower skill level players. This just takes away the pride of being a better then average player.

    There are probably many more examples but to sum up; if you're a COD player with ANY sort of skill, do not buy this game. This game might as well be pushing people for take time to play it to become good. Its made for noobs, it caters towards noobs, unless you're a noob, simple don't buy it.    … Expand

    Los mapas son pésimos llenos de objetos donde la gente asoma mitad de cabeza o algunas veces ni se les logra ver, el 80% de las armas en la partida son la AUG o la M16 que tienes suerte si no te matan de una **** y ya sin hablar de los camperos, gente que está esperando a que cruces una puerta para matarte soplandote con cualquier arma de las antes mencionadas.     Activision Sold me a bugy and unfinished Game! Thank you for this bad Game... Can't join Party Members after i got kicked from the Party without reason in Multiplayer same with Zombies there are so much bugs this game isnt over 20€ worth.

    DO NOT PLAY ON PC, this game crashes over other game, and in my case along with at least 2 buddies of mine, this game has bricked our GPU's, which ended up needing to be replaced. Game is broken.

    My god I regret buying this so much. Do not make the same mistake. Last Modern Warfare was such a nice surprise but this pile of garbage is a waste of money and time. Pros: I don’t know, maybe the subject could be interesting (Cold War) Cons:
    -gameplay
    -story
    -multiplayer
    -graphics -gunplay
    -maps

    Everything is such a step backwards and is so simplified it hurts your eyes and brain.

    Garbage. Way too many kill streaks. Feels clunky. Zombies are alright but get boring. There's no incentive to keep playing. I lasted about 2 weeks and just went back to MW.

    The games just weird and not good.

    All the game does is stutter while playing multiplayer. I've tried fixing multiple ways-- Would not recommend until they fix the in game issues.

    Absolute garbage game, bought it in sale to give it a decent chance. Tried it for 2,5 hour. Movement sucks, time to kill is bad. Compared to modern warfare/warzone they completely dropped the ball. One more year of modern warfare for me. Don’t waste your money please.

    Sbmm ruined the game. No content at launch and the new season looks bare as well. Short campaign. Bad multiplayer maps. 1 zombies map at launch. Really disappointing considering Treyarch has always made the best cod games imo.

    I've been playing call of Duty since the beginning and this is by far the worst one I have played. I feel scammed out of $60. Only positive is zombies and that is boring quick. Huge disappointment and this will be the last chance I give Call of duty. Absolutely ridiculous.

    Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ends up mirroring what the Call of Duty franchise offered last year, with some new additions that are also welcome, especially for long-term fans. While being set during a very intense period, the campaign ends up erring for its disappointing longevity, even though the value of repetition is intrinsic to it. Zombies are back in style, while multiplayer gains an excellent new mode, but here it errs again for the arsenal's lack of variety.

    While Cold War is a part of a series I would have said that I loved, I can’t fully embrace it now knowing that this work is trucking in harmful stereotypes via patriotic-tinged gameplay. A decent CoD multiplayer experience will likely emerge from the currently-underwhelming Cold War, but I’m going to seriously consider whether that gameplay is worth enduring (and supporting) the rest.
