    The focus mode on the snipers, how It doesn't have a time limit is awesome and yall should keep that up. It is definitely hands down the best cod I've played. You won't regret buying it. People complaining saying this game sucks, you'll always have those cry baby people with the need to complain. no matter what. Definitely worth the price. Very fun

    Zombies is fun, but lacks in maps because the developers couldn't bother doing more than 1. Even after the release of season 1, zombies still only has 1 map. The Campaign is enjoyable. The multiplayer is almost unplayable because of Skill based match making. This system destroys the randomness of the game and makes EVERY lobby feel the exact same. When EVERY game is extremely competitive, there leaves no room for a casual match to screw around and have genuine fun. Every game feels like a professional tournament with no rewards or benefit of doing good. If you want to play zombies, it isn't a terrible buy, but if your sole purpose is to play an old school COD game, then get something else.… Expand

    this game is really fun but i am not a fan it resets your level every season in online cod bo3 does not do that. story mode is not that good. online is so fun. and zombies is one of the best zombies i am surprised of how good it is for a new game still can't compete with cod b03 zombies but this cod game is surprisingly better than i thought

    Solid game all around. Great work Treyarch. You took all of the best parts of MW2019 and put your own, Treyarch spin on it. The campaign is an easy 10/10. The story is well told and the freedom to choose makes the game feel more immersive and real. Take your time on it and soak it all in, you’ll come out the other side feeling as if you just lived it. No complaints other than a few glitches here and there but I’m sure they will be ironed out in a few updates. The zombies experience is unique but still very familiar to the old days of zombies. They kept it fresh and it didn’t feel hashed out or like they were trying to re create zombies. Basically, They took it in a slightly different direction but kept the same core zombies experience. You can tell they put a lot of effort into the mechanics, the new Dark Aether story, and the Easter eggs. All in all, 10/10. (If you “get” zombies, you know it isn’t just a mindless game. It’s tough. The Easter Eggs and the grind to find and complete them are what makes the experience whole. There is so much thought that goes into these stories and lore of the overall zombies mode, it’s insane. To claim it as “mindless” IS mindless.) To sum it up, Treyarch knocked it out of the park. I haven’t felt this great about CoD since Modern Warfare 2. It feels new and it feels right. Come at it with the right mindset and you’ll definitely enjoy this years iteration of one of the best video game franchises to date.… Expand

    Just have to say one thing, everyone who says cold war zombies is garbage or trash is stupid. Almost all the best zombies players in the world love it. Just saying. I also just love how almost ever cod player all of a sudden thinks they are a expert on every aspect of cod. If you don't like the game don't buy it, it's that simple because complaining is not helping to fix any problems.

No. If you're on the fence about the game wait for black friday or christmas. If you’re inclined to get it, then get it, the game is fun!! Plus new content is coming in fast with nuketown and new zombies and gameplay improvements. All in all, I really like the game and feel that it going back to older type cod, but making it fresher is a good thing and not a bad one.     This game is wonderfull. Time to kill is so good, the back of pretige System was so good for people who like this system to level up. The maps are playable, different from MW 2019

    I have no idea how the game is! It will not let me f**king play it! I got past the start screen ONCE! It let me play 30 minutes of Zombies cause it would not match with anyone in multiplayer. Then would not let me match again in Zombies! I want my money back you f**king crooks! Never ever buying another COD game again!

    As someone who quit playing since BO3, I am very happy with this game. For those of us that don't live in their parents basement and plays 3-12hr / day, we can now have fun being matched with those of the same skill level. Whiny tryhards complain because they have to play against other good players and can't just stomp on casual players.     I really want to sit down and ask few questions to the people who made the story, ask them things like what they were going for and what message, are they trying to put out if any. I get a few hints in mind. And if it's true I think it's really bad for this game series. The multiplayer can be fun while keeping with the games theme and even giving you an introductory cutscene just it starting up to add to the set theme, but particularly in the multiplayer I don't like the animations in this game. I don't know if it's because I've been spoiled with the motion capture from on MW and there feel for realistic looking
    but fast gameplay they went for. But if I go play Black Ops 3 zombies for some reason I like the animations better. I have a theory that it cold war uses the game engine from Black Ops 4, and I didn't like how that game felt, and a lot of people didn't, as I've heard. As I was playing through the campaign i was thinking about this the whole time but didn't want to admit it but I'm going to admit it.... The reason why they called Black ops and why Hudson woods and Mason are in the game.. they pulled a Disney...you know like other new Star wars movie had all the old characters in it but they were not themselves and we're not involved in the main plot? Basically what they did it feels it me... Little throwbacks here and there but they pulled a Disney it feels like..... Maybe that's why they didn't cast the original voice actor for woods, he probably would have been pissed off like mark hamill was with Luke in The last Jedi. Look... nostalgia....is a good powerful, almost like a drug for the brain, and it helps give a happy feeling, a lot of people loved the original characters and there were bits of them in Black Ops 4, but it seemed like there was a trick for using nostalgia in a way to buy the characters, or the game. what I'm saying is like I tried to explain earlier I feel like they made a "Disney clickbait". If the original crew were not teased in the trailers in this game then not called Black Ops. I don't think it wouldn't have been as popular and I don't think much people would have bought it if it wasn't for them being in the game. They're nothing like themselves, of course they may not sound like them, but from what I know they could have got woods his voice actor easily but they didn't, and for some reason they got a guy who sounds like he's trying to sound like the previous voice actor.... why? I understand that their previous title did not go so well (Black Ops 4). But to bring back, beloved characters from the dead, so to speak, just to have the nostalgia feeling kickin so people would buy your game, then for them to be completely different. Why would you do that?I know people would complain to me and say that's what the new modern warfare did but the new modern warfare reimagined the whole Modern Warfare trilogy, but in modern times. This game, tried to put itself between black ops 1 and 2 story.. But they treated their characters like if they reimagined them? they added bits and histologia to keep you going, there's multiple endings and there's one that makes me question what's the point of this games story? Matter of fact, I think they all do that, and the thing with these Call of Duty games. The theme is the story, and the setting, and if the story is good. The rest of the game feels and looks good. If the theme is trash. The rest of it all falls apart (zombies and multiplayer). To be brutally honest, I'm upset that they didn't try to get james C. Burns To play Woods again, as they did before. It makes sense if you were reimagining the story like Modern Warfare but they didn't, I want to know the truth of why they did not try to get him. Imagine how you made James feel, how you made the fans feel. I've seen a bunch of clips on YouTube of him acting, a bunch of interviews, and that's woods right there. you can't put the body of his character in people's views for nostalgia to get them to buy your game. Maybe that's not what they did. I don't know but that's how I feel and I feel horrible... I feel worse Wondering how James feels. Short summary there is fun to be had with this game, especially the zombies.
    But the theme for both multiplayer, and zombies the bad story and it makes the rest of the experience feel bad. Just like it would in any other Call of Duty game. Not trying to be a hater but this this reminds me of black ops 4, sometimes beloved characters should be put to rest instead of brought out of their grave and treated like this.     If you only buy Call of Duty for the Multiplayer like most do. Please do not waste your money. I know you will read this and still buy it just to find out. Just remember I have warned you

    The best COD game we've had after a long time! More fast-paced, better ranking system, zombies is hyping, and the Elims/death ratio is a helluva lot better than the Kill/Death ratio of Modern Warfare. No more sweating to try to kill someone only to get the assist at the end. Also can't wait for Battle Pass and League Play coming soon!!

    I love this game. I don't know what everyone is complaining about. The maps are well set up and I love nuketown. And on this one unlike modern warfare, people actually die when you shoot them. Most fun I have had in a long time. Only problem is the glitches need to be fixed and more content. The last two cod I have hated and thus one made up for it.

I have been playing MW for the last year and that one has easily become my favorite modern COD. COD has turned into the Madden of shooters in that they release a new game every year with very little improvement or innovation. It has just become a cash cow for the company, which is a shame seeing as how MW proves that COD can still be a great franchise if they just put effort into making it be one. However, Activision would rather put out their cookie cutter, copy and paste versions of COD out every year just for the sake of being greedy. Everything about Cold War just seems so bland and is just the same old stuff we've seen every year for the past 10 years.… Expand

    Unlike Modern Warfare, this game is NOT for scrubs. It isn't a campfest that allows you to camp in windows or high platform vantage points everywhere for free kills and that's why it's getting such low scores. This is what Call of Duty USED to be 10 years ago, and it's finally back.

    After one year of suffering with MW Treyarch is back. Campaign is awesome, fun and mind blowing, Multiplayer is Black ops 1 + Black ops 3, 4 so its fun, chaotic, full of action. Zombies are awesome too.
    I am glad Treyarch is back and I cant wait for content what come this year.

But since Xbox series x didn't have any good release launches, I decided to buy this game anyways, and I am speechless, this game is all sorts of fun, from graphics, to gameplay. What happened "users?" I read a lot of "this is a downgrade from a last generation version of call of duty" if this is aI always just read user reviews since they were supposed to represent the average joe (me) .     The multiplayer feels arcadey and cartoonish. The movement doesn't correspond well with the map design, being able to slide about 10 feet from a slight jog. The visibility is piss poor, due to the strange lighting on the darker maps and the wonky animations for the character models. This game will be put to rest and give up on within 3 months. Why can't they just continue to update MW?

    The zombies is forgettable. Boring and bland. Campaign is short and cheesey.

Unas animaciones penosas, un "feeling" que parece mas un Counter Strike 1.0 que no un juego actual, un sonido pésimo... (¿A quien se le ocurrió mutear el sonido cuando te matan?) o las animaciones cuando te matan, parecen sacadas de un circo.
    Todos sabemos que la parte multijugador de la saga CoD es la que hace que estemos meses jugando a un juego pero este ColdWar no esta al nivel de nada.
    Lo siento, pero de lo peor de la saga.

    Destacable: La campaña.
    Negativo: Todo el resto.

We came from a great game called Moder Warfare, with a campaign at the level, a multiplayer of the best in the history of the Call Of Duty saga and also a WarZone that has displaced great games like Fortnite or PUBG and you do this, called Cold War. Of the whole game, only the Campaign is saved since I think it is the only thing that is at the level of the series, but the Multiplayer ... What happened to the Multiplayer? Some painful animations, a "feeling" that looks more like a Counter Strike 1.0 than a current game, a terrible sound ... (Who thought to mute the sound when they kill you?) Or the animations when they kill you, they seem taken from a circus.
    We all know that the multiplayer part of the CoD saga is what has been playing a game for months, but this ColdWar is not at the level of anything.
    Sorry, but the worst of the saga.

    Very boring and not engaging campaign. Except KGB infiltration mission. Main plot is dull and not interesting. It's very short but that is actually plus of this campaign. Characters are boring as well. Last mission at first was kinda fun but it came out irritating and badly designed.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. -Campaign: As a sequel to Black Ops 1, the campaign is really good! It has interesting characters and also a cool newcomer, Russell Adler. Woods, Mason, Hudson and CO. are great! The storyline is pretty good where you go after the Soviet Agent Perseus. The locations where it is set are also interesting.
    However, as most of COD Campaigns, this one has 10 Missions and is 5/6 Hours long.

    -Zombies:
    The Zombies are lit. My favorite Zombies Map is Kino der Toten, however, Nacht der Untoten comes close! I had lots of fun with randoms and friends fighting the Undead!

    -Multiplayer:
    Multiplayer feels like a step back from MW2019. It is as always lots of fun with friends and the new Modes are also good. Although, the MP5 is just way too op and everyone uses it. I liked most of the maps, but on Miami were lots of campers.But in Overall, Multiplayer was lots of fun with my friends and we really enjoyed VIP Escort.

Their idea of veteran difficulty is to pun you in the open with all enemies shot at you, teammates do not kill nobody almost, they just shot random. I am no expert on Cod but finished in 6 hrs on veteran. Graphics could use a huge improvement, there were some bugs, i have encountered a movement bug inJust finished campaign on veteran, story is thin, short, fights are mostly annoying.     Cold War is a solid game. Although connection errors and party not available happens a lot and the menu doesn't run that smooth on ps4. Gameplay is fun but sometimes ruined by campers with snipers and shotguns, but what do you expect from Cod

    Call of Duty fans rejoice! Cold war is finally the redemption to all the horrible games like infinity war and BO3. The campaign for this game is AMAZING. There hasn't been a multiplayer this good in a few years, though it loses points for all the visual bugs and split screen issues.

Haven't played much zombies but it feels like it's fighting itself, trying to be how it was originally and trying to be Infinite Warfares zombies.     the multiplayer is the worst, most unfinished multiplayer ever. the weapon balance is EXTREMELY off. the maps are abosulte trash, there is an extreme lack of content, and the SKILL BASED MATCH MAKING makes the game extremely sweat and very unplayable.

    The zombies is very enjoyable and the campaign is great. those are the only redeeming qualities

I feel like this game should cost 40$ at most, it's just not worth 60$.     Friendly Fire - The idea that you can spam a room with explosives or drop napalm on the enemy AND your team and have ZERO negative consequences is cartoon-quality BS. At least leave the friendlies stunned for a second or two. Bunny Hopping & Power Slide - these    For a game that spends so much effort trying to dial in realism there's a TOTAL lack of reality on (at least) three fronts:

    Bunny Hopping & Power Slide - these (magically) have zero impact on aim - I know they are trying to attract the Fortnite crowd but come on. At least have a mode where there is a half second delay (to aim) on conducting those moves. Fire wildly while doing those things and hope for a hit? No problem. But playing in a game with a guy using a candy cane striped 50 cal hopping around quick scoping people is also cartoon quality realism.

    Sliding Knife Kills - A guy running at you with a knife while you pop off rounds into his sternum...yah I'd take my chances on the gun side in real life. In this game? You are dead as they sweep in and cut your...kneecaps off. That is deadly stupid. Finishing moves? Knifing someone from behind? Sure thing. But being shot tends to loosen a persons grip on a knife.....no?

    Of course unlimited lives is silly too but there is a difference. Watching a map full of cheer leaders bounding around shooting with precision accuracy or people sliding 10 feet to knife someone in the shin is simply lame. At the very least, maybe think of having fixed rooms where people who don't want to play "Fortnite Lite" can get some real physical dynamics.    … Expand

    Really fun, I don't get why it is getting hate and backlash. The gameplay is great, the campaign is great, zombies is great. EVERYTHING IS GREAT.

    The best Cod game in the last 2 years. Great story, very very good characters. Also, a great twist at the end too. I hope that they keep doing this kind of stories. I didn't play the multiplayer though. So I can't say anything about it. The only problem I have with it is the anti Russia propaganda. I hate the fact that they always make Russia the bad guy.

    Ten steps back from Modern Warfare. Every single gun feels the same, the campaign is almost identical to the first Black Ops with an anticlimactic ending and it is literally the first CoD to make me despise every second of the multiplayer. It feels like a mobile game. Definitely don't buy this if you want to remember the black ops series in a good light.

    Practically unplayable. Couldn't even finish the campaign because it was so broken it hard locked my entire console....three...times. This isn't simply unpolished it's F'ING RAW!!!!!!

    The multiplayer, warzone, and even zombies don't really interest me and I have no desire to try them after dealing with this uncooked slop Activision has the gall to charge full price for.

    Decent multiplayer game, but as always they focus on the younger generation. Small maps, easy kill, no strategy team play.

    Here's Why this **** gets a 0, and why I wish I could give it a -10.
    Skill Based Matchmaking; An Abomination. Now not only are you constantly being thrown into sweaty matches with people roughly your skill level (when the stupid system works, which is never.) but now you're thrown    The Absolute Worst Call of Duty ever made. And yes, I'm taking that weird offshoot 'Ghost' into account.
    Here's Why this **** gets a 0, and why I wish I could give it a -10.

    Skill Based Matchmaking; An Abomination. Now not only are you constantly being thrown into sweaty matches with people roughly your skill level (when the stupid system works, which is never.) but now you're thrown into those matches with an extra large serving of LAG, because Skill Based Matching Making DOESN'T **** TAKE LATENCY INTO ACCOUNT. The game doesn't give a **** about whether or not the game as playable, so long as it's sweaty as **** Which results in people teleporting around the map, suddenly popping into existence in front of you (and you instantly being dead because they've been shooting at you for a solid 5 seconds before they 'decloaked') and a plethora of really ****ty latency based issues. But does Treyarch give a **** No, **** us, they want us to play the glitchiest, ****tiest matches possible because they, as a studio, hate the **** out of their player base.

    Skill Based Matchmaking has the unfortunate side effect of making the only interesting part of Cold War unplayable. It would be great if just once, JUST **** ONCE, I could complete a multiplayer zombies match without the lobby, the host, or myself simply lagging the **** out and either CTD or CTM.

    The Campaign; Like raw sewage and kale mixed in a blender with exactly two scoops of cake flavored protein mix. It would be preferable to simply microwave week old garbage and insert it into your rectum.

    The Graphics; **** And not just **** but BROKEN **** I've never had to 'recompile' **** shaders so much in my entire **** life. Game gets a patch, and suddenly I have giant walls springing into existence around me with no rhyme or reason. I can't see through them, but they only exist for me. It's like if I'd been dropped into Afganistan with an M-16 high as **** on a mixture of ketamine and military grade LSD. You're not sure whats going on, but the god damn ground is 100% trying to eat you.
    The only way to make these helucinatory walls disappear? Recompile the Shaders. But Guess What?! THAT ONLY WORKS SOME OF THE TIME, HAHAHA!

    I hate this game, I will absolutely never buy another **** Treyarch game so long as I **** live.

The worst for me is that I really like COD campaigns, and they made the campaign a 30Gb DLC not included in the disc, plus the 20GB day one patch, so I had to download 50Gb before playing what I was solely interested in.     I really should've skipped this one. I just bought the last COD and really liked the campaign. The campaign for this one is really bad. Should've saved my money and just replayed the last COD.

    Very disappointing. I loved the 2019 MW, and expected something similar, but this is just not there. Shallow story and short campaign, worse graphics than MW, and some small bugs on XB1X. Bought the disc luckily, hope I can sell it for a good price.

    Do not buy if you played and enjoyed Modern Warfare this game is complete garbage! Everything is worse than the previous game, multiplayer is a joke be it the awful movement or the dumb as **** map intros or the take 50 years to level 1 weapon to max level. Don't buy, even if its on sale don't buy, if it was free don't waste your hard drive space its not worth it.

    Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ends up mirroring what the Call of Duty franchise offered last year, with some new additions that are also welcome, especially for long-term fans. While being set during a very intense period, the campaign ends up erring for its disappointing longevity, even though the value of repetition is intrinsic to it. Zombies are back in style, while multiplayer gains an excellent new mode, but here it errs again for the arsenal's lack of variety.

    While Cold War is a part of a series I would have said that I loved, I can’t fully embrace it now knowing that this work is trucking in harmful stereotypes via patriotic-tinged gameplay. A decent CoD multiplayer experience will likely emerge from the currently-underwhelming Cold War, but I’m going to seriously consider whether that gameplay is worth enduring (and supporting) the rest.
