    This game is absolutely amazing. People are review bombing it for minor reasons. Things that can be fixed with a simple patch. PC people are mad cause of Epic Games Store exclusivity but this game is game worth playing. It's like borderlands and it looks like borderlands WHICH IS GREAT. I wouldn't want this game to leave its playstyle and art style behind just because people want it to.This game is absolutely amazing. People are review bombing it for minor reasons.     I can't find any words to describe how great that game is. Good old borderlands. I still can't stop playing it. But reason I can't get 10, is technical issues. I'm playing on a standard PS4, and playing with 30fps isn't great at all. BL3 is such dynamic game, and 30 fps makes me feel retarded while playing it. You know, I'm not an idiot to play games cuz of graphics, but BL is not aI can't find any words to describe how great that game is. Good old borderlands. I still can't stop playing it.     LOVE the guns in this game and progression always feels perfectly paced. The boss fights are crazy good and blew me away. Tina is also amazing.

    Completely in love with this game. Played it on the ps4 pro did not have any issues with gameplay. Not too sure about the story but I bought Borderlands 3 for the gameplay and it does not fail their. Gun play is amazing with a whole heap of guns to choose from . If playing split screen is not important to you this is a great game to play and you most definitely will enjoy it.

    The hatetrain is well and strong here. The graphics are better, I am on ps4 and performance has no issue whatsoever. The loot is amazing, and guns feel great! What is the problem of the low reviews?!? This might be one of the best follow-ups to any series that I know.

    Sweet game! At least the single player. People complaining about multiplayer idk if it's as bad as they say as far lag and split screen but everything else in the game is fantastic. Highly recommend. Most games I put down after 2 hours. I didnt even realize I've been playing for like 9 hours. I only stopped playing now because I am hungry and tired!

    I can't understand the hate. The game has so many small and big improvements and is simply the best game in the series.

    I play on a PS4 Pro with external SSD. Game settings are set to Performance. No problems at all.

    Fairly solid overall game. Great gunplay. Usual borderlands humor, but more modern topics.

    There is some bugs and lag with menus that should be resolved, but did take a point off for poor testing.

    It's a shame it is getting review bombed due to Steam

Although there are some bugs here and there, the game is fun, relaxing, challenging enough, story line is not boring and the co-op mode is nice and easy to use. If you like blasting, shooting hordes of enemies then this game is for you. If you prefer metal gear “espionage” genre, then you may think twice about it but I would recommendIt’s a great game.     I read people complaining about technical issues but I have not experienced any and I have played it every day since release. As for the cry babies whining about split screen not being what they wanted, it was all shown in pre-release videos, so perhaps they should have paid more attention..
    All in all, an excellent game which I continue to enjoy.

    I haven't tried the co-op so can't comment on that, but don't let this low user score fool you. The solo campaign is absolutely superb, and not that I think it really matters if a game has a couple of glitches on release day, but I haven't even encountered any glitches. Even this complaint about the slow loading time for the inventory seems to be nonsense from my experience so

    Juegazo. Si! El juego no va a 60fps. Rondara los 50. Con un parche se solucionara. Me parece un juego muy divertido con mucha jugabilidad, muy borderland 2. Armas infinitas, planetas que explorar, las camaras... etc. Recomendable 100% no hagais caso a las malas puntuaciones, compraloslo y punto

    My first Borderlands-game. Played about 30+ hours. Mostly I like the humor, dirty-minded and rancid things and I've always been a crazy fan of looter games. Comic style graphics - not a fan with those but fits like a charm to this type of game. Not any major bugs, seems very solid and well-tested game. Some fps drops with normal PS4, still very playable.     If you love any of the borderlands games you'll love this too. I saw some negative reviews but they're just wrong. This is a great game and I love it so much. If you love shooting and looting then you've got hours upon hours of fun. Give it a try!

    Borderlands 3 is great addition to the series. It has some problem with performance in menus (PS4), but in general it is definitely not worst than BL2. Talent system is much better than before. More interesting trees and more abilities to choose. Story is interesting, enough humor in the game as well. My only concerns are about bosses. They are much more like Dark souls now. This is borderlands... combat should be more dynamic and you shouldn't be afraid to go and shot boss with shotgun. This is what make game fun... not sniping them from as far as possible. As well I think that somehow legendary drop should be bigger. This is singleplayer game. I would expect much more and much better drop. People like to change their weapons and feel rewarded for killing big boss. When the game works its a chaotic looter shooter that feels like an awesome mashup of Destiny and DOOM 2016 with plenty of oomph to the weapons and enough character build diversity to keep players busy for hours on end.
    However compared to other games in the looter shooter genre Borderlands 3    Borderlands 3 is a natural progression of it's predecessor in every way for better and for worse. When the game works its a chaotic looter shooter that feels like an awesome mashup of Destiny and DOOM 2016 with plenty of oomph to the weapons and enough character build diversity to keep players busy for hours on end.
    However compared to other games in the looter shooter genre Borderlands 3 has a laughably bad story compared to the likes of Borderlands 2 which had charm throughout its run time despite how clunky the gameplay was. The humor is still subjective (I personally found it funny) but some moments and story beats are entirely centered around how the humor which works to both it's advantage and detriment.
    Troy and Tyreen Calypso the main villains are good commentary on YouTube influencers but the problem is they are insufferable with their dialogue which to me gave me more motivation if anything to actually put a stop to them.
    The story is the only real negative I can give but other than that the game is one of the best releases of this year and should be at least be checked out if given the chance.    … Expand

    Borderlands 3 has extremely fun and very fluent combat and very creative and colorful graphics. The story and writing aren't as good as Borderlands 2, but there are still quite a few funny quips and characters that are entertaining.

    Great game play and the loot grind feels right. The bad guys are terrible and really annoying to listen too. But once you finish the main story the end game is a lot of fun and a ton to do that will keep you coming back to find better loot than what you currently have.

    PS4 Pro, Singe Player - This is a very good game. I dither between 7-8 score because it offers up so much solid content that it is just shy of a great game, with arguments to be made for or against.
    The shooting is fun. I never got tired of it. However the single player campaign leads you on a leash the entire time. Each quest involves a character directing you on the radio, which can stumble over itself. Once you pass an invisible line, the dialogue kicks in. You could already be in a dialogue and you can trigger another. Add on picking up Echo recordings, as I have done, and you can have 3 different dialogues stepping over each other when you’re not done with the first. (You can view/listen to all lore in the pause menu)
    The areas in the game and large and there are more than I reasonably expected, which I was overly pleased with as a consumer. But fast travel points are limited. So if you need to sell off a full inventory of guns, you will have to restart at the beginning at a vending machine to then run back to where you left off. Enemies will respawn in each area for you to grind or just run by - which is more likely. I can’t say it’s bad, just the design they went with.
    The bad is the NPC A.I. Anytime I had to follow a character, they slowly moved into place as though they are thinking hard about it. Sometimes the npc will get stuck and the game will need to be restarted. This happened about 3 separate times a good ways into the game. In all I had to restart my game no less than 5 times due to minor bugs.
    I didn’t touch multiplayer but still enjoyed the single player very much. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that multiplayer works and adds another layer of fun and engagement for the game.
    For the most part I enjoyed the writing. It’s a violent, slapstick world. Characters like Tina made me chuckle, while I found some like the character voiced by Chris Hardwick to be totally lame.
    So I spent a good 30 plus hours in the game without even starting new game plus. There are a lot of elements that I thought about critically as I played the game. Ultimately, the game offers up so much content that is done well, I couldn’t help but feel like it’s giving me my money’s worth.    … Expand

    I like the universe so much and was never expected some one could be barely so good villain as Handsome Jack, but they did it. Callypso twins are something. Streamers that start their own religion and make millions of psychos obey - i love them. Game became better in everything. yep it has some technical issues, but it as crazy as f8ck! Hail for the God queen!

    First time to play borderlands series and will definitely wait for the next one to be released. Like the humor in the game , the Charterers and the game design. Playing is real fun. The only issue is that the game does not run smoothly( FPS). Otherwise, great job has been done !

    But the game itself is good. It's great even. On one condition. IF you liked the other borderlands games. This is more like Borderlands 2.5. It doesn't change much. But what it does change are great quality of life improvements. You can slide, vault, climb, buy all missing ammo with one button, and more.

    And the guns are MUCH better. The variety of the guns are amazing. It use to be that guns wouldn't get interesting or fun till level 20ish. Now even white rarity and green rarity guns at level 2 are fun to use and interesting to play with. The changes to the gun manufacturers is the biggest change in my opinion. Vladof has grenade launchers, Torque has sticky grenades that explode on reload, Dahl has two fire modes (burst, single, full auto), Jacobs bullets ricochet, I could go on. This extra change makes each gun unique and fun. If borderlands was just a tad too boring to you then the guns might do it for you now. The gun gameplay is topnotch. Each gun feels impactful and fun. In the thousands of guns I've looted I've never seen a bland boring unfun gun yet. This is the strongest point of the game. Which is good because you're doing A LOT of shooting.

    The classes are distinct enough and fun enough to seperate it from the last 3 games. With my favorite, Zane, being a standout for me. But I'm sure everyone has their standout. The 3 different class moves per character vs the one per from later games is an appreciated change. But some do feel a bit copy paste *glares at the new Siren*. And lastly the endgame is finally fun. At least for me. I'm a big fan of Diablos endgame so if you've played that game and you enjoyed it. Then you're in for a treat. I just got into the endgame so I can't tell you how much fun it'll be in a week or two. But right now it fits perfectly. But NO MORE REDOING THE STORY 50 TIMES!!!!! HUZZAH!!! Sure if you want to do True or ultimate or super duper vault hunter mode (one of those isn't a real mode) than you do need to do the story again. But at least you don't need to do it 5 or 6 times to get to max level. At the LEAST if you want to do the harder modes. You only need to do the story twice. Which, personally, I ABSOLUTELY appreciate.

    Now for the bad. The story isn't great. Compaired to Handsome Jack, the Twins aren't the best. They come off as bad obnoxious rather than the good obnoxious that Jack was famous for. You don't want to kill em because they are the bad guys. You just want them to SHUT UP. And the story is just a tad too lazy to me. Just bland. Not bad but not creative the previous games were known for. But that's not what this game is famous for. It's for it's gameplay loop. Get a quest, shoot a punny named boss, get loot, repeat. And (depending on who you are) this can be good for you or bad. Because it is STILL the same gameplay loop. If you enjoyed it than this game is good to pick up. Not to say it was ever bad. If it ain't broke don't fix it right? But if you were ever turned off by it's gameplay it might not win you over this time. Again unless the guns do it for you now. And the jokes seem outdated? I don't know I can't put my finger on it. At best they are chuckle worthy and at worse it's a bit cringeworthy. I don't know if the jokes stayed the same and I grew out of the LAWL RANDOM humor or they just aren't as funny as they use to be. Sure there are good ones but they don't make me laugh out loud as they use to. And Gearbox can we PLEASE put more vending machines everywhere else BESIDES the entrance to the zone!? I can't tell you how many times I've run out of ammo, had a full inventory, or a combo of both. Sure it's part of the game but I've never had this problem before in the previous games. Enemies seem a bit more spongier and they all seem loot pinatas. Which the later isn't a bad thing but when each pack is 20ish psychos you build up a full inventory SUPER quick. And theres not enough "ammo boxes" to help you out for the next pack.

    For the TL;DR or closing remarks. Borderlands 3 is a continuation of Borderlands 2(presequal?) Which isn't bad. It does come up short with it's story and humor. But if you are looking for a dumb mindless shooter with loot. This is the BEST one yet. Does it reinvigorate the genre? Does it reinvint the wheel? Does it blow the last 3 games so much out of the water that it makes them obsolete? Sadly no. But if you had fun the last few games then you should definitely pick this one up.

    The game is good whether Solo or Co-op. PS5 version is next level performance wise. Story and dialogue skew young, it never tries to be Shakespeare. Post launch support is amazing.

    Cool game! Played non-stop for 5 days (5-6 hrs per day). No glitches. Storyline is OK, as this is my first Borderland, and there are tons of hints related to previous games.

    8 years since borderlands 2 (we don't talk about the pre sequel) 8 years since we realized Borderlands is going intergalactic. The game is massive and it's quite the undertaking to explore and do everything.

    - Big very very big game
    - Truly different ways to play the exact same characters which is nice
    - More vehicles and cool ways to get them upgraded
    - Cast is great
    - Planets are pretty
    - 4 dlcs that will expand an already big game
    - Events SEASONAL EVENTS

    This game is exactly what i expected but they took the guns to a whole 'nother level. The game looks great especially on a 4k tv and on a ps pro.

    Dropping it down to a 8/10 just because the co-op and the split screen is not working very well but i have faith that this will be fixed in a patch or update.

    If you’ve played borderlands before and liked the other ones then you will love this one as well. I haven’t tried the split screen co-op so I can’t speak on that, but this game is bigger and better in every way. The new guns look and feel cool to use, the new enemies and especially the bosses are more unique, and the graphics are better than the last two even if it does have problems atIf you’ve played borderlands before and liked the other ones then you will love this one as well. I haven’t tried the split screen co-op so I can’t speak on that, but this game is bigger and better in every way. The new guns look and feel cool to use, the new enemies and especially the bosses are more unique, and the graphics are better than the last two even if it does have problems at times. The story is also very interesting in this one. I can’t seem to figure out why people dislike this game so much...… Expand

    So far this game is super fun. Guns and game play are excellent. Split screen in multiplayer is annoying, but that's pretty much my only complaint. With patches and DLC this is going to be awesome.

After they announced the release date for Borderlands 3, I took off a week from work (which I NEVER do!) to make sure I had time to get through the story and have fun with no stress. I'm a Zane main since launch, and I absolutely love this game. I held off for a long time writing a review though, because I knew there would be multiple expansions and changes, and as of writing this they have released three of them (the last being Bounty of Blood). But I feel like the game is at it's best right now in my opinion, so now's as good a time as any.

    The gunplay is fantastic, possibly up there among the best shooters I've played recently. Since day one, I've been addicted to finding new weapons, trying them out, and finding which ones fit my play style the most. For endgame, there was a period over the last few months where there were only a handful of viable weapons though. But since the last patch recently I feel like they'd alleviated that (but it's still limited for some builds). But during leveling on a first playthrough, the loot is exciting and you're always finding something new to play around with. Leveling up in this game was one of my favorite experiences playing a looter-shooter. While the endgame doesn't have as much variety in my opinion, there's still tons of legendaries to collect and the gameplay is fun and addictive enough to let you forget that you're using the same weapons for the most part.

    Where the game starts to fall apart for me, and for many others, is the story. No spoilers, but if you're a fan of Borderlands 2's story there's a good chance you might dislike this one. There are good moments to be sure, but overall I felt it was lacking. For me, this was mostly due to the villains. Hard to follow Handsome Jack. I also couldn't even tell you right now why things were happening near the end of the story, it's just not memorable for me. I was paying attention, but it just wasn't as interesting as looting things and finding new gear.

    I feel like the story is about a 6 and the gameplay for me is a 9-10, so overall I'll give it an 8. It's a game I feel like you could come back to every once awhile to try out a new build or play through a new expansion or event. Another great thing about it to me is that it's not like Destiny or Division though, those games I always feel like I need to play all the time to be rewarded. This is something I can dip into when I feel like it, and I don't have the need to log in every single day.

Some of that is cosmetic but it's that same love and detail that goes into a lot of what the game has to offer on it's deeper layers.

    The shooting mechanics are top notch and (when well built) your game character can feel like you're in three different types of shooters depending on what gun you have equipped. The Jakobs brand gives you an old school Medal of Honor or Call of Duty feel with iron sights while the Torgue brand can give you a Doom or Duke Nukem feeling with explosive ammo and splash damage. During my rise to Level 50 I had battles that felt like Western shooters as I fell backwards off a dusty cliff and then some that felt like the Moonraker mission in Goldenye with all lasers. The range is very wide and it is very fun.

    The sound is an absolute highlight in the game as it is crystal clear and unique. There are so many guns (like, so many guns) and so many have unique sounds and shooting mechanics. The intense gun battles are punctuated by the crisp sound effects and it is overwhelmingly satisfying to hear the explosions and popping and clicking of the wrath you rain down in the game. It feels so good. This highlight can be extended to the great voice acting as well.

    The story is solid and makes a clear statement about the millennial culture that we’re living in. You get to meet a host of fun characters on each planet, a highlight of which comes in the form of a stuffed teddy bear later on in the game. Unfortunately, most of the characters reprised from 2 can be dry or generally non interesting. Which is a total bummer because they were all so great in the previous installment. While characters like Hammerlock, Lillith, and Tannis are still great it feels odd to see a whole host of old characters again that aren't nearly as fun as the last time you saw them.

    Uniquely, this is also a game where moments of beauty and tranquility can be found in certain pockets on each planet. There were many times I would have an epic battle against a beautiful sunset backdrop or in an Asian-inspired monastery and then stand for a few minutes to take in all of the detail. The level design has noticeably improved from the previous title, the navigation of which is a dramatic step up from the previous title. The Jurassic Eden-6 offers a high canopy and lush greenery while Promethea is a big outer-space moon rock you can glide through. There are still a couple of maps that feel congested and not fun to run around, the biggest ding of which is on the new Sanctuary. It's the hometown of the game so it's a place that must be revisited more than any other. it's by far the most claustrophobic and even after 70 hours of running through it I still get lost. It isn't a fun place to keep coming back to and you have to KEEP coming back to it. When compared to the hometown in Borderlands 2 it's a significant step down and a very boring world in an otherwise exotic one.

    The RPG elements are very solid and can make for some incredibly fun variations depending on your build. There are so many options that there's a way to make a very middle of the road character that may prevent some users from being able to experience the sharpness the game can offer as you weave through the gun fights. When focused on one skill tree you can really see the power your build can bring. The game can absolutely get repetitive after extended play but the level up rewards and new equipment comes quick enough that there's always a great new robotic rabbit to chase around the track as you grow.

    There's a load of things to do after the credits like New Game+ and Guardian Ranks/Mayhem Mode or side-quests or multi-player game types where you fight off hordes of enemies with strangers or friends. At the time of this review, I found the matchmaking to be very slow and it was difficult to find people to play with; over five minutes to find even one person sometimes. That's tough two months after a games release. Not sure if that's a 2k thing or not... The game is exponentially more fun while playing with others so the hope is that Gearbox makes that more accessible soon.

    If you're looking for a game to get this holiday season this one will last for months. If you've got friends that got it too then even better. Playing for a short time or a long time the game is a fun time. Good work, Vault Hunter.    … Expand

I gave it a shot anyway and I haven't felt the need to switch to another game yet. Loving the main story & side quests so far. I haven't done any co-op play so I can't comment on the experience.

    Borderlands 3 has best sidequests in the series, a lot of the side quest are better than the main story line which sometimes makes no sense and can be cringey at times. Gameplay in B3 is great, there are more guns than ever. You can spend hours farming that one gun you really want.

I have seen so much hate for his online but i beat the base game and dlc1-2 and did the maiwan take down and main lv 57 Zane and personally i feel the hate it gets at least for me couldn't even be close to how it went for me. however i had to tweak my settings to get it smooth at first and now it runs max settings 60fps 4k UHD and i absolutely love this game i play it everyday again i know others might not have the same feel from this game but i give it a 10 out of 10 looking forward to dlc 3 and guardian take down+ the new skill tree. and i have seen stuff from every bit of this game and still love it !… Expand

The side quests are really high quality and enjoyable, many of times i felt that the side quests are much better than the main story quests. Mayhem levels still need some work they are not a requirement for the game, only a few of the mayhem 6+ weapons are worth but the couple that are make great additions to the players arsenal.

    Summary, Don't play this game for the story it will disappoint, play because you like to fight and find some very fun gear to aid in the fights    … Expand

    Its a good game. The guns feel good, I really enjoyed the art style. The maps are interesting to explore a d very detailed. The villains are not so great, cringey and not having good motivations. The story is below decent but I am not looking for a good story in this type or games. The side quests are very good. Its and overall fun game that I rocommend with tons of content.

    Another great looter shooter game from Gearbox, the looting and shooting is even better this time, because many weapons have 2 switchable elements on them and this time around we can do everything solo, which is a big + for me, since I'm a single player only.

    The gameplay is a step up from the previous games, shooting and looting is as fun as ever, the new sanctuary is a little confusing and took some time to get used to. There are a lot of bugs that need to get patched, for instance, I can't get the platinum from getting the trophy to "explore all areas" as the game hasn't registered that I have.

I decided to try the game because I heard some good things from my friends. I picked the game up at Best Buy for 10 dollars (which in my    Borderlands 3 was my first Borderlands experience. And it made me fall in love with the franchise.

    Like I said, this is my first ever mainline borderlands game (I played Tales from the Borderlands before this, but that game's more of a spinoff). I decided to try the game because I heard some good things from my friends. I picked the game up at Best Buy for 10 dollars (which in my opinion was a steal) and proceeded to pop the game into my in my PS4. I played for just 2 hours and I already fell in love with the game.

    I simply loved the looter-shooter gameplay, and that it combined an FPS with RPG elements (which is the reason I enjoy the Fallout series). The sheer variety of weapons you can obtain, the tense shoot-outs, and the many abilities you can unlock, these and other parts of the gameplay make this game thrilling to play. And the online play (especially with friends) make the gameplay EVEN better. Endgame raids with my pals were so fun, I thought about cancelling my FFXIV subscription (but I will always stay loyal to the messiah Yoshi P). There are also the mayhem modes, which I didn't go too far into, but they propose a tough challenge for hardcore players to use their skills in order to get better (and sometimes unique) loot. I could go on and on about the gameplay, but I'll save you the trouble.

    Now we'll move on to the most controversial part of Borderlands 3: the story. I've seen a lot of people bash the story for being predictable and boring. I think that it's... okay. It's not spectacular, and it's definitely predictable, but it's not as bad as others say it is. BUT I will definitely say that I am part of the majority of players when it comes to the villains. The Calypso twins had a lot of potential but in the end they fell short. They were uninteresting and it's one of the biggest reasons people say the story sucked. Thankfully, other characters like Rhys, Zer0, Claptrap, the Borderlands 1 crew etc. as well as the humor made the story much better than what it originally would have been. There was also Ava, who I found a little bit annoying, but I'm hoping that they make her character much better in a sequel like Borderlands 4.

    So, those were my thoughts about Borderlands 3. Do I recommend this game? Hell to the yes. If you're looking for a funny, enjoyable game with amazing online multiplayer, Borderlands 3 is for you.    … Expand

    This Borderlands improves in gameplay from 2 in ways that weren't needed but are a nice change. The writing however falls flat on its face far to often, making the story overall not as great as the second games. If we left this to just base game it might be a 6/10 but the first four DLC raise this to an 8/10 for me.

    Another cool game from the Borderlands series. Sometimes there are lags and bugs, but it's not scary. In general, part 3 perfectly complements the series. It's a must to play!

    So much fun, so much carnage, so much laughs. Borderlands 3 is a big improvement over 2. Great story, vast amount to explore with very likeable characters and super graphics. Plenty to loot, unique weaponry and gear. Sit back and let the action roll and enjoy.

    New planets with new environments and new bosses and loads of new and unique guns are all great. But the story is dragged down by the main villians who are incredbly cringy and uninspired

    Absolutely awesome game. I love Borderlands 3.
    I spend a lot of time with this game.I liked the gameplay and gear even more than in borderlands 2.The dlcs and even the free events are amazing.There is nothing bad I can say about this game.

    Gostei bastante do jogo,pra quem diz ah não tem nada de novo,cara você não jogou,está muito mais suave os combates,agora da pra atirar enquanto desliza, muito melhor,os gráficos são bem melhores,eu estou fazendo os 100% do jogo e ansioso pelo novo em outubro.

I'm a bit sad because I got my hopes up for this game and I wont lie its not too much of a step up yes the loot is amazing, awesome cosmetics and weapons, but so many of the same weapons are recycled just with different effects and the villains are annoying. Fortunately the game is still a blast and has great gameplay and combat. Story is a step down butHonestly its not too bad!     I was very skeptical, but the longer i played it, the more interesting it was becoming. This is the only game where I'm actually interested doing side quests after I've finished the game. It's colorful and engaging.

    Factor in the graphical glitches, rampant texture pop-in and generally asthmatic performance levels, even when running on a PS4 Pro with settings optimised to favour smooth running, and there really is no end of reasons not to love Borderlands 3 (and don’t even think about Googling developers Gearbox Games’ litany of employee relations history)...And yet... love it, I do. Guilty as charged.
