Another magnificent showing from Rocksteady and WB Games with Batman Arkham Knight. Gameplay is similar to previous outings but that's a good thing. Batmobile takes a while to get used to but is a massive inclusion and the game is better for it. I love the challenges in the game from The Riddler and also the time trials and VR challenges too testing your skills against thugs.

    Epic Game.

    The Bad:
BATMOBILE, BATMOBILE, BATMOBILE. It is featured way too prominently, almost half of missions are done mainly in it. The tank battles kill the arkham mood, and the racing levels don't work as the car, although great, isn't the best handling wise. If they only cut down on the use of the bat mobile it'd be an awesome luxury, instead it's an annoying crutch.
LOAD TIMES. Terrible, especially if it's an area where you fail repeatedly.
Riddler trophies (Personal opinon), there are too many and are required for the secret ending and fighting The Riddler. I know it's an arkham tradition, but there are too many and it's really tedious collecting them.

Only now played this - even though I knew it was praised, it blew me away. The environment is so finished and the plot is delicious. Just about only things less than perfect are the sad 30 frames/sec slowness even on PS5 and the way, way too many Riddler puzzles.

Fast forward seven years and three games later and we have come full circle to Batman Arkham Knight, a villain set on destroying Batman while Scarecrow seeks the destruction of Gotham to watch Batman suffer.

Despite the PC version plagued by an assortment of bugs and game-play issues, the PS4 version surfers from very little of problems. Yes there are glitches and the textures are not as good for this generation, but the game is playable. As with Asylum Batman encountered the longest night of his life; in Arkham Knight Batman faces death on more than one occasion, watching things falling apart around him including saying bye to some long time allies as well as foes.

The main game is amazing with the free flow system better than ever. You can get your Batman on without the season pass which in my opinion is unnecessary if the Batgirl play-through was a complete letdown. In other words get the game but forgo the $40.00 for the season pass or wait for the game of the year to get the DLC.

This game is worth getting and a great ending to the series.

I loved the old Batman games and this one is so much more and factoring on the Richter scale as far as graphical improvement. No possible way this should score in any field below (6) no matter your feeling on the developer or the publisher or the color of the box it came in.

This is most certainly a next generation game and if you have the next gen Console you will be missing out if you don't at least try it. I was hesitant too, because of the bad reviews on places like Metacritic, but it was unjustified. they knocked it out of the park. (9/10)

Arguably the best Batman game to ever have been made, the game really comes down to whether or not you like the inclusion of the new Batmobile. For me, it was a good distraction at times and, at others, a minor annoyance, including a main story mission entirely dependent on the Batmobile. The car sequences wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't made it such an integral part of the game. The car sequences wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't made it such an integral part of the game. Too much emphasis is placed on the Batmobile throughout the entire game, IMO, and the game would have been alot better for me if I wasn't forced to use it so much for so many different things. What could have been a nice change of pace for the rest of the game feels to much like a necessity that is being forced down your throat and I don't like that one bit. That doesn't take away from the rest of the game and the improvement they made on pretty much everything else. The story was excellent, even if the Arkham Knight turned into a goober halfway through, and it feels like good closure to the storyline. They did leave it open for some kind of sequel in the future but who knows what that would even look like. I'm extremely interested in seeing where Rocksteady goes from here. I wonder if they will stick with this 3rd Person-Action formula they seem to have perfected or will they go another route. I feel like it'll be a good game regardless as they have proven themselves to be extremely good at what they do. Expand

The campaign is relatively long and the amount of content besides the main story is staggering. There's tons of sidequests, puzzles, races, etc to finish. The game is really fun too, addictingly fun. The music is awesome, story was good, controls are great, camera is great, combat is great, racing great, puzzles great. Only two things that really annoyed me in the game was the tank sections and the loading times. The loading times are kind of long after you die. Then we have all the other people who are rating the game a 10 when they'd otherwise give it an 8/9 just to combat all those people who rated it 0 for all the wrong reasons. This place is an absolute cluster and, while I give the game an enthusiastic 9/10 and have plenty to say about it, I sincerely suggest if you're reading this that you look elsewhere for game reviews. There are lots of cool new moves for Batman, like the slow motion takedowns, which you can chain into multiple ones.

The side missions are plenty. Though lots of them are rather redundant. You want to complete them just for the sake of completion, not because they really mean something. And having an open world with side missions like this is rather counter productive, as these side missions interrupt the narrative.

The presentation has been greatly improved. It's really like playing a movie. But there won't be any long cutscenes to put you into a passive position for too long.

The combat is as great as ever. But the gamepad is overladen with combinations, making it difficult for newcomers to get accustom to.

And there are lots of variety when it comes to stealth. You have plenty of ways to handle a situation.

Overall, I like this entry way better than its three predecessors.

Here you will see another side to Batman, his flaws his anger, the rage that drives him you can see familiarity's in his character physic when you compare him to the Dark Knight Returns animated series a man who is willing to sacrifice for his own self completion, his motives are straight forward and no one will stop his anger from prevailing over his foes, with Kevin Conroy back to voiceHere you will see another side to Batman, his flaws his anger, the rage that drives him you can see familiarity's in his character physic when you compare him to the Dark Knight Returns animated series a man who is willing to sacrifice for his own self completion, his motives are straight forward and no one will stop his anger from prevailing over his foes, with Kevin Conroy back to voice the Batman this brought the Batmans anger to another level of rage the rage we are supposed to see.

I can see that Developer Rocksteady have gained inspiration from Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy particular Batman Begins were as the previous games were more comic book based, Compared to the previous two games the threat is on a much bigger scale similar to the threat difference to say Batman Begins and the Dark Knight Rises.
The final game is more grounded and is set to appeal to the wider audience which is why the game has its flaws particularly the overuse of the Batmobile, disappointing boss fights and Drone Battles and repetitive voice commands such as (Rattler Down!)

But then again these minor flaws didnt deterrent from how awesome it was to have a Batmobile this monster is intimidating on top of that the driving mechanics were flawless so easy to drive throughout Gotham City, I admire Rocksteady's work of innovation gameplay rather than the same game again, As the Batman you are able to exit in and out the Batmobile flawlessly without distraction, then through remote control you are able to call on it whenever you need it and on top of that it comes with Battlemode with the touch of a button this mammoth turns into a force to be reckoned with called Battlemode ready for battle seeing the transformation from Battlemobile to Battlemode is sooo cool. The Batmobile is fun and engaging the driving mechanics and battlemode work flawlessly together and is one of Batman's coolest gadgets it feels like a needed necessity to progress in the game rather than just a placement.

If you have played the previous Arkham games you will feel right at home here if not it will take some time to master the game, most of the same fighting techniques, gadgets and gameplay mechanics are back with some additional improvements such as fear takedowns were Batman is able to take down multiply foes at one time, being able to use weapons such as Bats against other foes, environmental takedowns such as smashing an enemy's head into a electrical circuit (I don't know if that covers Batman Do not Kill Policy) and gadgets such as the Disrupter that disables enemy's weapons, all possible and curtsey of Lucious Fox which are all needed when your going up against an army of mercenaries a Scarecrow and the likes of Harley Quinn, Penguin and Two face.

    Perks
    Batmobile is fun and engaging
The driving mechanics and battle work flawlessly together
    John Noble voice of Scarecrow
    Kevin Conroy voice as Batman
    Stunning Graphics
    The Story's twist's and turns
The mind boggling events that accor
Added layers to combat mechanics such as environmental takedowns and duo takedowns
A satisfying conclusion to a remarkable trilogy
Side Storys indept story arch's from some of the best comic book villians in the DC Universe

    Negatives
    Too many Drone Battles
The Arkham Knight doesn't live up to the Title
Boss fights were somewhat disapointing and few

    Verdict
Batman Arkham Knight has it's flaws but developer Rocksteady makes up for this by providing the player with innovation gameplay, solid story, AAA game quality, and a true Batman gaming experience. Batman Arkham Knight is satisfying conclusion to a remarkable trilogy that brought the comic book game genre to life.

Personally, I was hoping it would be this way as it was all so perfect in the previous two titles.

If there was something I can pick on, it would be that the Batmobile can feel a bit clunky, but that aside the Batmobile is badass, it has a perfect place for this game and its so good to see it in use.
I've notice people are complaining that it is "over used."
It belongs to Batman. It is iconic. It's supposed to show usefulness in a driven and highly engaging environment. Again this is opinionated, but I honestly didn't feel that was a problem at all. Infact, I LOVE all the car chases.

I didn't seem to realise this, but there was a lack of boss fights in the game. I was so engaged in the story and combat to really notice, but I can understand others who may have seen this as a downfall.

    In a nutshell:
    Pros:
    - Excellent Story telling
    - Amazing graphics
    - Combat system is still epic as usual. The core mechanic is left the same so you wont be disappointed if you liked it in the other games.
    - Upgrade system is more refined and makes you think more on what to upgrade to assist your situation at the time
    - The same gadgets are back, including some new arrivals/enhancements which are really cool.
    - The Batmobile is badass. Enjoy cleaning up the streets.

    Cons:
    - Some gadgets can be underused. I didn't feel I needed to explore through them often as I should have. (The line launcher did have much need at all)
    - Batmobile controls and movement can feel a bit clunky
    - Side quests can get a bit tedious.

    Overall, another masterpiece for 2015.
Arkham Asylum has been my personal favorite, but there is so much to love in this game. Rocksteady again, continue to make legendary games that will go down as the some of the best superhero titles to ever be released.

All the Supervillians of Batman of the so called 'rogues gallery' are included. Riddler, Two-Face, Penguin, Scarecrow, Ivy etc etc. Even the very much dead Joker!

The Batmobile on the whole is a cool addition, but can get a little annoying at times when you have no option but to use it. Schooling the Militia tanks with the missile barrage however is pretty sick!

Overall Arkham Knight is another solid addition to the never disappointing series. Just a shame Rocksteady has decided to bring it to an end. Such fun games to play!

Not too sure what some peoples problem is giving it a zero? If you liked AA, AC or AO there is absolutely no reason why you wouldn't like this. Its more of the same! Stop hunting for perfection, you aint gona get it!

You always feel powerful. whether it's meeting up a group of 30 villains or putting the smack down on a big brute. a great game to end a fantastic trilogy. **** arkham origins.) Expand

I originally got this game for the PC (I had only played 60-90 minutes). I eventually got a refund for it because WB stopped selling it and I was worried about prospects of getting the DLC (I got the premium version). So I ordered this version (PS4). I just beat it last night and this game is amazing. The story is fun, the game isn't too repetitive (even those riddler challenges).

Now I am not going to spoil the ending but I only finished the first tier of ending (there's 3 total). My review is based off that first ending. The story was very intriguing. When I was younger I use to watch the Batman cartoons and even some of those old reruns of the old show (I'm 25 now but I saw those reruns when I was 5 or 6). I even saw and loved the first four batman movies. I love the Dark Knight trilogy. When I was 10 or 11 I loved watching Batman Beyond on cartoon network. Having said all of this I have never been into comics. I feel that the story of this game does Batman justice.

I took one star off because there are no boss fights outside of using the Batmobile. Driving in the batmobile is fun but I feel like it's forced too many times.

Arkham Knight done a great job! The batmobile was the most wicked s-it I've ever seen, since they didn't show this on Arkham City. I'm not gonna spoiled this, but before you play this, The Ending, is suck! Seriously, Batman kill himself (Spoiler Alert!) because everyone knows he is Bruce Wayne, but the ending dosen't bother me much (Cause I was bussy doing Free-roaming & Batmobile).Arkham Knight done a great job! Although, there was something confuse me, Mark Hamill (The Voice of Joker) says it will be his last role. But, why does he voice Joker again? Does Rocksteady hires him again, with a lot of buck? Or... They don't trust other Actors (Troy Baker for example, since he played Joker in Arkham Origins). Nevertheless, Arkham is best to play...

Unless, you count the upcoming Uncharted 4: The Thief's End on your PS4 which is coming next year :v

Batman: Arkham Knight presents a technically proficient and overall satisfying ending to the Arkham series, but suffers from overuse of the novelty item Batmobile and extremely repetitive tank battles. [Aug 2015]

Batman: Arkham Knight is the best looking game in the series so far, and includes a lot of cool stuff for fans of Batman. But at the same time it’s starting to feel like Rocksteady is almost too comfortable. It lacks new content, except the pretty bad designed Batmobile parts. If you haven’t played the previous games that much you will probably think that this is one of the best games this year.

A million different elements blended seamlessly into one brilliantly cohesive experience. [Summer 2015, p.64]
